Despite experiencing a decadal shift towards drought conditions at the end of the 2Oth century,semiarid grasslands in northeast Asia(NEA)exhibited an evident greening trend from 1982 to ***,the mechanism behind this phenomenon remains ***,we analysed the interdecadal changes in vegetation response to drought on the basis of the standardised precipitation evapotranspiration index(SPEI)and Global Inventory Modelling and mapping Studies LAI4g datasets,with an emphasis on the differences between direct and legacy effects(as measured by resilience),to explore the mechanism of persistent grassland *** revealed that during the post-drought shift period(2000-2020),the sudden decrease in the water content of the intermediate soil layer triggered an intensified vegetation response to ***,although direct effects and resilience were amplified,they exhibited asymmetric *** was stronger than direct effects,and this difference increased with increasing drought(drought recovery)*** combined effects may account for persistent greening against intensified drying in the semiarid grasslands in *** the projected exacerbation of future droughts,this study holds notable importance for comprehending the long-term change dynamics of dryland ecosystems.

Short-term displacement prediction for newly established monitoring slopes based on transfer learning

This study makes a significant progress in addressing the challenges of short-term slope displacement prediction in the Universal Landslide Monitoring Program,an unprecedented disaster mitigation program in China,where lots of newly established monitoring slopes lack sufficient historical deformation data,making it difficult to extract deformation patterns and provide effective predictions which plays a crucial role in the early warning and forecasting of landslide hazards.A slope displacement prediction method based on transfer learning is therefore ***,the method transfers the deformation patterns learned from slopes with relatively rich deformation data by a pre-trained model based on a multi-slope integrated dataset to newly established monitoring slopes with limited or even no useful data,thus enabling rapid and efficient predictions for these ***,as time goes on and monitoring data accumulates,fine-tuning of the pre-trained model for individual slopes can further improve prediction accuracy,enabling continuous optimization of prediction results.A case study indicates that,after being trained on a multi-slope integrated dataset,the TCN-Transformer model can efficiently serve as a pretrained model for displacement prediction at newly established monitoring *** three-day average RMSE is significantly reduced by 34.6%compared to models trained only on individual slope data,and it also successfully predicts the majority of deformation *** fine-tuned model based on accumulated data on the target newly established monitoring slope further reduced the three-day RMSE by 37.2%,demonstrating a considerable predictive *** conclusion,taking advantage of transfer learning,the proposed slope displacement prediction method effectively utilizes the available data,which enables the rapid deployment and continual refinement of displacement predictions on newly established monitoring slopes.

The shuttle effect of lithium polysulfides(LiPSs)and uncontrollable lithium dendrite growth seriously hinder the practical application of lithium-sulfur(Li-S)*** simultaneously address such issues,monodispersed Nb N quantum dots anchored on nitrogen-doped hollow carbon nanorods(NbN@NHCR)are elaborately developed as efficient Li PSs immobilizer and Li stabilizer for high-performance Li-S full *** functional theory(DFT)calculations and experimental characterizations demonstrate that the sulfiphilic and lithiophilic NbN@NHCR hybrid can not only efficiently immobilize the soluble Li PSs and facilitate diffusion-conversion kinetics for alleviating the shuttling effect,but also homogenize the distribution of Li+ions and regulate uniform Li deposition for suppressing Li-dendrite *** a result,the assembled Li-S full batteries(NbN@NHCR-S||Nb N@NHCR-Li)deliver excellent long-term cycling stability with a low decay rate of 0.031%per cycle over 1000 cycles at high rate of 2 *** at a high S loading of 5.8 mg cm^(-2)and a low electrolyte/sulfur ratio of 5.2μL mg^(-1),a large areal capacity of 6.2 ma h cm^(-2)can be achieved in Li-S pouch cell at 0.1 *** study provides a new perspective via designing a dual-functional sulfiphilic and lithiophilic hybrid to address serious issues of the shuttle effect of S cathode and dendrite growth of Li anode.

The design of novel materials for sulfur dioxide(SO_(2))capture and conversion with considerable efficiency under mild conditions is of great significance for human health and environmental protection yet highly ***,we report a series of triazine-based multicomponent metallacages via coordination-driven self-assembly of 2,4,6-tri(4-pyridyl)-1,3,5-triazine,cis-Pt(PEt3)2(OTf)2 and different tetracarboxylic *** the increase of the length of the tetracarboxylates,the structures of the metallacages change from pyramids to extended *** to their N-rich structure,these metallacages are further used for selective SO_(2)capture,showing good adsorption capacity and remarkable SO_(2)/CO_(2)selectivity in ambient conditions,suggesting their potential applications toward real flue gas *** metallacages are further employed for the conversion of SO_(2)into value-added compounds,showing exceptional efficiency even dilute SO_(2)is used as the *** study represents a type of structure-tunable triazinebased metallacages for SO_(2)capture and conversion,which will pave the way on the applications of metal-organic complexes for gas adsorption.

Accelerating the breaking of the nitrogen nonpolar bond(N≡N)is an important factor to improve the effi ciency of the electro-catalytic nitrogen reduction reaction(e-NRR).In this work,polyoxometalates-derived FeMo-based ternary oxide materials MoO_(2)-Mo_(4)O_(11)-FeMoO_(4)@X(abbreviated as MoFeO@X,X represents the synthesis temperature of 650,750 and 850℃)were designed and synthesized for e-NRR under ambient *** scanning electron microscopy images of MoFeO@750 show an ellipsoidal-like structure(0.86×0.6μm).The relatively large specifi c surface area,formation of multiple interfaces,together with the synergistic eff ect of iron and molybdenum bimetals,would make MoFeO@X catalyst more easily absorb and activate N_(2)in the ***,the synthesized MoFeO@750 shows an optimal NH_(3)production rate of 16.57μg·h^(−1)·mg cat.^(−1)and Faradaic effi ciency of 12.33%at−0.3 V versus reversible hydrogen electrode(ν***),with outstanding electrochemical and structural stability.

BACKGROUND In recent years,the prevalence of obesity and metabolic syndrome in type 1 diabetes(T1DM)patients has gradually *** resistance in T1DM deserves *** is necessary to clarify the relationship between body composition,metabolic syndrome and insulin resistance in T1DM to guide clinical treatment and *** To assess body composition(BC)in T1DM patients and evaluate the relationship between BC,metabolic syndrome(MS),and insulin resistance in these *** A total of 101 subjects with T1DM,aged 10 years or older,and with a disease duration of over 1 year were *** impedance analysis using the Tsinghua-Tongfang BC Analyzer BCA-1B was employed to measure various BC *** and laboratory data were collected,and insulin resistance was calculated using the estimated glucose disposal rate(eGDR).RESULTS MS was diagnosed in 16/101 patients(15.84%),overweight in 16/101 patients(15.84%),obesity in 4/101(3.96%),hypertension in 34/101(33.66%%)and dyslip-idemia in 16/101 patients(15.84%).Visceral fat index(VFI)and trunk fat mass were significantly and negatively correlated with eGDR(both Pmale patients exhibited higher body fat percentage and visceral fat ratio compared to male *** logistic regression analysis revealed that significant factors for MS included eGDR[P=0.017,odds ratio(OR)=0.109],VFI(P=0.030,OR=3.529),and a family history of diabetes(P=0.004,OR=0.228).Significant factors for hypertension included eGDR(Pmass(P=0.003,OR=1.111).Significant factors for dyslipidemia included trunk fat mass(P=0.033,OR=1.202)and eGDR(P=0.037,OR=0.708).CONCLUSION Visceral fat was found to be a superior predictor of MS compared to conventional measures such as body mass index and waist-to-hip ratio in Chinese individuals with *** analysis,specifically identifying visceral fat(trunk fat),may play an important role in identifying the increased risk of
