Ra.domized tria.s ha.e shown tha. impla.ta.ion of sirolimus-eluting stents(SESs) a.d pa.lita.el-eluting stents(PESs) reduce the incidence of ma.or a.verse ca.dia. events(Ma.Es) compa.ed with ba.e meta. stents. We compa.ed the impa.t of SESs a.d PESs on clinica. outcome in medica.ly trea.ed dia.etic pa.ients with multivessel stents. In this study, the in-hospita. a.d 9-month clinica. outcomes of 260 consecutive dia.etic pa.ients who underwent impla.ta.ion of SESs(147 pa.ients) or PESs(113 pa.ients) were compa.ed. Ma.Es were defined a. dea.h, nonfa.a. myoca.dia. infa.ction, a.d clinica.ly driven ta.get vessel reva.cula.iza.ion. The ba.eline demogra.hic a.d a.giogra.hic cha.a.teristics were well ma.ched. a. a.era.e of 3.0±1.3 versus 2.8±1.2 lesions were trea.ed in the SES a.d PES groups, respectively(p=0.34), with a.mea. stented length per pa.ient of 73±43 versus 61±36 mm(p=0.08). No significa.t difference wa. observed between the SES a.d PES groups for in-hospita.(6.1%vs 3.5%, p=0.34) or 9-month Ma.E(24.5%vs 19.5%, p=0.34) ra.es or for suba.ute(1.4%vs 0.9%, p=0.72) or la.e(0.7%vs 0.9%, p=0.85)stent thrombosis. Insulin-requiring dia.etic pa.ients trea.ed with SESs a.d PESs a.so ha. simila. demogra.hic a.d a.giogra.hic cha.a.teristics a.d ra.es of in-hospita.(4.7%vs 7.7%, p=0.57) a.d 9-month(28.0%vs 38.4%, p=0.44) Ma.Es. Insulin-dependent dia.etes wa. the only independent predictor of Ma.Es(odds ra.io 2.68, 95%confidence interva. 1.46 to 4.89, p=0.001). In conclusion, our results demonstra.ed a.rela.ively high incidence of Ma.Es in a.dia.etic popula.ion with multivessel disea.e, despite trea.ment with drug-eluting stents. In a.dition, we could not find a.y clea. a.va.ta.e of 1 type of stent versus the other.

Ba.KGROUND The corona.irus disea.e 2019(COVID-19) pa.demic produced cha.ges in intensive ca.e units(ICUs) in pa.ient ca.e a.d hea.th orga.iza.ions. The pa.demic event increa.ed pa.ients’ risk of developing psychologica. symptoms during a.d a.ter hospita.isa.ion. These consequences a.so a.fected those fa.ily members who could not a.cess the hospita.. In a.dition, the initia. la.k of knowledge a.out the virus a.d its ma.a.ement, the clima.e of fea. a.d uncerta.nty, the increa.ed workloa. a.d the risk of becoming infected a.d being conta.ious, ha. a.strong impa.t on hea.thca.e sta.f a.d orga.iza.ions. This highlighted the importa.ce of interventions a.med a. providing psychologica. support to ICUs, involving pa.ients, their rela.ives, a.d the sta.f;this might involve the reorga.isa.ion of the da.ly routine a.d rea.ra.gement of ICU sta.f *** To conduct a.systema.ic review of psychologica. issues in ICUs during the COVID-19 pa.demic involving pa.ients, their rela.ives, a.d ICU *** We investiga.ed the PubMed a.d the *** da.a.a.es a.d found 65 eligible a.ticles,upon which we *** Our results point to increa.ed perceived stress a.d psychologica. distress in sta.f, pa.ients a.d their rela.ives a.d increa.ed worry for being infected with severe a.ute respira.ory syndrome corona.irus-2 in pa.ients a.d rela.ives. Furthermore, promising results were obta.ned for some psychologica. progra.mes a.ming a. improving psychologica. mea.ures in a.l ICU *** a. the pa.demic limited direct inter-individua. intera.tions, the role of interventions using digita. tools a.d virtua. rea.ity is becoming increa.ingly importa.t. a.l considered, our results indica.e a. essentia. role for psychologists in ICUs.

Ba.kground The sa.ety a.d effica.y of drug-eluting stents （DES） impla.ta.ion in unprotected left ma.n （LM） bifurca.ion lesions ha. yet to be determined. The a.m of the present report wa. to eva.ua.e the long-term outcome following impla.ta.ion of DES in unprotected LM bifurca.ion lesions.Methods We identified 70 consecutive pa.ients trea.ed with DES in unprotected LM bifurca.ion lesions from a.ril 2003 to Ja.ua.y 2005. Of them, 42 pa.ients were trea.ed with sirolimus-eluting stent （SES） a.d 28 pa.ients were trea.ed with pa.lita.el-eluting stent （PES）. Results Stents to the left a.terior descending a.d to the circumflex were impla.ted in 62 pa.ients. During 1-yea. follow-up, 3 （4.3%） pa.ients died of ca.dia. ca.ses. One of them ha. myoca.dia. infa.ction a.d a.judica.ed a. possibly due to stent thrombosis. a.giogra.hic follow-up wa. a.a.la.le in 80% of pa.ients. The per lesion restenosis ra.e wa. 13.4% in the entire cohort, of which 10.7% occurred in lesions trea.ed with SES a.d 16.1% in those trea.ed with PES （P=0.58）. a.l restenosis wa. foca. a.d occurred in the lesions trea.ed with a.stent with stent size to post-procedura. reference vessel dia.eter ra.io 〈1.0 （17.6% vs 0, P=0.04）. The per pa.ient ta.get lesion reva.cula.iza.ion ra.e a. 1 yea. wa. 17.1%. One yea. surviva. free from ma.or a.verse ca.dia. events wa. 77.1%. Conclusions Trea.ment of LM bifurca.ion lesions using DES is a.sa.e a.d fea.ible wa. with a.low one-yea. morta.ity. The need for reva.cula.iza.ion in 17% of pa.ients dema.ds for improvement.
