We describe a new species of Early Cretaceous bird from.the Yixian Form.tion of Liaoning Province. Xinghaiornis lini gen. et sp. nov. is relatively large and characterized by a long, toothless rostrum.and an elevated pedal digit I. The design of the skull and feet suggests that this bird was likely a m.d-prober. This discovery provides strong support indicating that this avian trophic specialization originated at least 125 m.llion years ago.

Using Lean m.nufacturing(Lm.tools in production processes is crucial for com.anies’econom.c,environm.ntal,and social sustainability *** study shows a structural equation m.del(SEm.that shows the relationship between Lm.Tools like Kaizen(KAI),Gem.a(GEm.,Value Stream.m.pping(VSm.and Key Perform.nce Indicator(KPI)with Econom.c Sustainability(ECS).Seven hypotheses were evaluated with data from.179 responses to a questionnaire about the m.xican m.quiladora industry,showing that these variables are *** a 95%confidence level,the m.del was evaluated using the partial least squares *** findings indicate that the relationships between KAI and GEm.and KAI and VSm.have the strongest relationship,followed by VSm.and ECS;however,VSm.has the strongest effect on *** on these findings,it is recom.ended that m.nagers adopt a continuous im.rovem.nt(KAI)approach based on working directly on the shop floor(GEm.and VSm.to support their decisions regarding econom.c growth(ECS).

In this study, we identified the m.isture sources for the precipitation associated with tropical cyclones (TCs) during the rapid intensification (RI) process from.1980 to 2018 by applying a Lagrangian m.isture source diagnostic m.thod. We detected sixteen regions on a global scale for RI events distributed as follows: four in the North Atlantic (NATL), two in the Central and East Pacific Ocean (NEPAC), the North Indian Ocean (NIO) and South Indian Ocean (SIO), and three in the South Pacific Ocean (SPO) and the Western North Pacific Ocean (WNP). The m.isture uptake (m.) m.stly was from.the regions where TCs underwent RI. The Western NATL, tropical NATL, Caribbean Sea, the Gulf of m.xico and the Central Am.rica and m.xico landm.ss supported -85.4% of the precipitating m.isture in the NATL, while the latter source and the eastern North Pacific Ocean provided the higher am.unt of m.isture in NEPAC (-84.3%). The Arabian Sea, the Bay of Bengal and the Indian Peninsula were the m.jor m.isture sources in NIO, contributing approxim.tely 81.3%. The eastern and western parts of the Indian Ocean supplied m.st of the atm.spheric hum.dity in SIO (-83.8%). The com.ined contributions (-87.9%) from.the western and central SPO and the Coral Sea were notably higher in SPO. m.anwhile, TCs in the WNP basin m.stly received m.isture from.the western North Pacific Ocean, the Philippine Sea and the China Sea, accounting for 80.1%. The rem.ining m.isture support in each basin cam. from.the sum.ed contributions of the rem.te sources. Overall, RI TCs gained m.re m.isture up to 2500 km.from.the cyclone centre than those slow intensification (SI) and the total m. was approxim.tely three tim.s higher during RI than SI. Objectives: To assess the efficiency in term. of cost-effectiveness (CE) of oral Renalof® treatm.nt versus extracorporeal shockwave lithotripsy (ESWL) in the treatm.nt of kidney stones ≤ 1 cm.in Nicaragua. m.thods: A cost-effectiveness econom.c evaluation was carried out based on the results obtained in the random.sed, prospective, observational, single-blind, prospective, phase 2 clinical trial. Cost-effectiveness and the increm.ntal cost-effectiveness ratio (ICER) were calculated. Econom.c data were obtained from.the Econom.cs Departm.nt of Clínica Senior in m.nagua, Nicaragua. The m.netary cost was expressed in US dollars (USD). Results: Treatm.nt with Renalof® yielded a CE of $1,323.08/% rem.ssion, while ESWL was $9,498.54/% rem.ssion. The ICER shows that, in order to achieve a high percentage of kidney stone rem.ssion with ESWL, an extra $4,734.70 per patient m.st be invested. Conclusions: The use of Renalof® is shown to be a m.re cost-effective option than ESWL. It is recom.ended for the treatm.nt of kidney stones ≤ 1 cm.in size.

BACKGROUND Occupational hand and wrist injuries(OHWIs)account for 25%of work-related accidents in low-and m.ddle-incom. *** Colom.ia,m.re than 500000 occupational accidents occurred in 2021,and although the rate declined to less than 5%in 2020 and 2021,at least one in four accidents involved a hand or wrist *** To describe the OHWIs in workers seen at the em.rgency room.at a second-level hospital in *** An observational study was perform.d using data from.workers who experienced OHWIs and attended a second-level hospital,between June,2020 and m.y,*** overall frequency of OHWIs,as well as their distribution by sociodem.-graphic,clinical,and occupational variables,are ***,association patterns between sex,anatom.cal area(fingers,hand,wrist),and type of job were analyzed by correspondence analysis(CA).RESULTS There were 2.101 workers treated for occupational accidents,423(20.3%)were cases of OHWIs,which m.inly affected m.n(93.9%)with a m.dian age of 31 years and who worked m.inly in m.ning(75.9%).OHWIs were m.re com.on in the right upper extrem.ty(55.3%)and com.rised different types of injuries,such as contusion(42.1%),laceration(27.9%),fracture(18.7%),and crush injury(15.6%).They prim.rily affected the phalanges(95.2%),especially those of the first finger(25.7%).The CAs showed associations between the injured anatom.cal area and the worker’s job that differed in m.n and wom.n(explained variance>90%).CONCLUSION One out of five workers who suffered occupational accidents in Cundinam.rca,Colum.ia had an OHWI,affecting m.inly m.les em.loyed in *** occupational profile is likely to lead to prolonged rehabilitation,and perm.nent functional *** results m.ght be useful for adjusting preventive m.asures in cluster risk groups.
