Development of ultra-high efficiency low cost tandem solar cell is required for efficient utilization of solar energy. For the purpose, PbS colloidal quantum dots(CQDs) have been gaining much attention as promising constituent materials for solution processed-infrared solar cells because PbS QDs can absorb photon energy in a wider range of the solar spectrum. Among various CQD-based solar cells, PbS QD/ZnO-based depleted heterojunction solar cells showed a power conversion efficiency(PCE) over 12 % in 2018.1 But there is a limited number of literatures reporting on PbS QD based solar working in low photon energy region(< 1.0 eV). Our recent study revealed that PbS QD/ZnO nanowire(NW) solar cells were able to convert a wide range of solar energy to electricity. However, the free carrier absorption of the transparent conductive oxide(FTO: F-doped SnO) in infrared region cause a non-negligible energy loss of the incident solar energy to be absorbed by the PbS QD layer. In this presentation, we constructed infrared PbS QD/ZnO NW solar cells having the first exciton absorption peak at 1560 nm(0.8 eV) and successfully improved the spectral sensitivity in infrared region by employing highly infrared transparent 1% Ta-doped SnO(TTO) electrodes. The EQE reached its maximum value of 47% at 1560 nm. The integrated photo-current density obtained from the EQE spectrum over 38 mAcm for full solar spectrum(Fig.1). The solar cell installed with an 870 nm sharp-cut filter yielded a PCE of 2.02 %(J=14.8 mAcm;Vc=0.285 V;FF=47.9 %) under a filtered one-sun illumination. The PCE is the highest efficiency reported to date for solution processed solar cells working in the infrared region. Based on these results, we will discuss the potential of PbS QD/ZnO NW solar cells toward the bottom subcells of tandem solar cells.

The fuel reforming system for a fuel cell vehicle requires a compact and low-cost static mixer that can uniformly mix the feed gas regardless of the flow rate. For that reason, the mixer is frequently designed with a simple structure of parallel distribution tubes. Such a gas mixer has multiple tubes arranged in parallel in the cross section of the main duct. Each tube has multiple tiny holes arranged in a row on its wall face through which gas is blown out. However, it is very difficult to achieve uniform flow rates from all the holes under both high and low flow rate *** fluid analysis is effective in solving this problem. Under a low flow rate condition, the flow through the tubes is laminar because of the small Reynolds number associated with the tube diameter, whereas a high flow rate results in turbulent flow because of the large Reynolds ***, at intermediate flow rates, the Reynolds number is in a transitional state. Previously,when a transitional state was present in the calculation area, sufficient prediction accuracy was not obtained because the turbulent model could not be adapted suitably to different parts. Consequently, we adopted a new calculation method that determines the Reynolds number in each flow during a calculation and automatically switches between use and non-use of the turbulent model. The calculated results were compared with experimental measurements obtained by 3-D stereo particle image velocimetry (PIV). Good agreement was seen between the two sets of results, which confirmed the validity of the new calculation method.

通过导入假想全共轭齿面作为基准齿面,即大齿轮基准齿面是采用由加工机床设定参数形成的理论齿面,小齿轮基准齿面是采用与该大齿轮基准齿面完全相共轭的齿面,该假想齿面是瞬时线接触,无传动误差。对该基准齿面上的接触线进行拓扑网格划分,引入数字化合成误差概念,实现含有齿形误差和安装误差的螺旋锥齿轮的数字化真实齿面的构建。提出一种基于高精度数字化真实齿面的螺旋锥齿轮齿面接触分析(Tooth contact analysis,TCA)方法,通过与Gleason公司TCA软件分析结果以及齿面磨损试验结果比较,验证了本方法的可行性和有效性。

南宋时期,左圭编撰的《百川学海》,被后世誉为丛书出版之嚆矢,南宋本现藏于国家图书馆。另有一部古刊本《百川学海》,现藏于日本宫内厅。该日藏本被视为明刊本,但经笔者核实,其与南宋本的板式、刻字、刻工姓名等皆相同。由于笔者仅凭复制材料,所以无法明确将其断定为宋刊或明刊,但至少可以确定的是,两者所用的版木是完全一致的。本文通过对宋明诸版本进行对比,实证了该版本最接近于初版原貌。中华再造善本使用国家图书馆所藏本,但其中的卷首及10种文献阙卷,以民国仿宋本补缺,未参考日藏本。若用日藏本补缺,《百川学海》所收的100种书里,除中日两套均失传的《圣门事业图》(13页半)之外,可以复原其他99种书的原貌。

The Prognostic Significance of the Preoperative Platelet-Lymphocyte Ratio in Japanese Patients with Localized Breast Cancer

Inflammation has been shown to be a factor in tumorigenesis. The circulating platelet to lymphocyte ratio (PLR) is a representative index of systemic inflammation. In this study, we analyzed the association between preoperative PLR levels and clinicopathological variables in two hundred sixty-four Japanese patients with localized breast carcinoma. We also evaluated the prognostic significance of preoperative PLR levels using the Cox proportional hazard model. Seventy-five patients (28.4%) had elevated PLR values, whereas 189 (71.6%) had depressed PLR values. The PLR correlated significantly with venous invasion (P < 0.05). Disease-free survival rates were significantly worse among patients with elevated PLR values than among those with lower PLR value (5-year survival, 81.6% vs. 90.7%, respectively;P < 0.05). In multivariate analysis, elevated PLR, nuclear grade, and lymph node involvement were significant prognostic factors for disease-free survival in patients with breast carcinoma (P < 0.05). Preoperative PLR levels may be an independent prognostic factor in patients with breast carcinoma.

Function Assessment for Rheumatoid Thumb Deformity

Objective: Nalebuff’s type I deformity of the rheumatoid thumb, which is the most common thumb deformity with rheumatoid arthritis, can be classified into three stages according to the range of motion of the thumb. However, a functional assessment for each stage has never been undertaken. Methods: The ranges of motion of the thumb metacarpophalangeal and interphalangeal joints were evaluated to determine Nalebuff’s clinical stage, and both the Modified Kapandji Index (MKI) and the simple test for evaluating hand function (STEF) were used to evaluate hand function in 32 rheumatoid arthritis patients with type I deformity. We assessed hand function in each stage, and examined the relationship between the three clinical stages and dysfunction of the hand. Results: The scores for both MKI and STEF were significantly reduced in parallel with advancing stage of thumb deformity. Conclusion: Nalebuff’s staging system is also useful for reflecting the level of thumb function.

Performance Improvement of the LM Device and Its Application to Precise Measurement of Motion Trajectories within a Small Range with a Machining Centre

In order to apply the LM device previously developed to precisely measuring small motion trajectories located on the different motion planes, three major improvements are successfully performed under the condition of completely maintaining the advantages of the device. These improvements include 1) development of a novel connection mechanism to smoothly attach the device to the spindle of a machining centre;2) employment of a new data sampling method to achieve a high sampling frequency independent of the operating system of the control computer;and 3) proposal of a set-up method to conveniently install the device on the test machining centre with respect to different motion planes. Practical measurement experiment results with the improved device on a machining centre sufficiently demonstrate the effectiveness of the improvements and confirm several features including a very good response to small displacement close to the resolution of the device, high precision, repeatability and reliance. Moreover, based on the measurement results for a number of trajectories for a wide range of motion conditions, the error characteristics of small size motions are systematically discussed and the effect of the movement size and feed rate on the motion accuracy is verified for the machining centre tested.

Tumor Segmentation on <sup>18</sup>F FDG-PET Images Using Graph Cut and Local Spatial Information

The purpose of this study was to develop methodology to segment tumors on 18F-fluorodeoxyg- lucose (FDG) positron emission tomography (PET) images. Sixty-four metastatic bone tumors were included. Graph cut was used for tumor segmentation, with segmentation energy divided into unary and pairwise terms. Locally connected conditional random fields (LCRF) were proposed for the pairwise term. In LCRF, three-dimensional cubic window with length L was set for each voxel, and voxels within the window were considered for the pairwise term. Three other types of segmentation were applied: region-growing based on 35%, 40%, and 45% of the tumor maximum standardized uptake value (RG35, RG40, and RG45, respectively), SLIC superpixels (SS), and region-based active contour models (AC). To validate the tumor segmentation accuracy, dice similarity coefficients (DSC) were calculated between the result of each technique and manual segmentation. Differences in DSC were tested using the Wilcoxon signed-rank test. Mean DSCs for LCRF at L = 3, 5, 7, and 9 were 0.784, 0.801, 0.809, and 0.812, respectively. Mean DSCs for the other techniques were: RG35, 0.633;RG40, 0.675;RG45, 0.689;SS, 0.709;and AC, 0.758. The DSC differences between LCRF and other techniques were statistically significant (p < 0.05). Tumor segmentation was reliably performed with LCRF.
