The formation of a bezoar is a relatively infrequentdisorder that affects the gastrointestinal *** are mainly classified into four types dependingon the material constituting the indigestible mass of thebezoar phytobezoars, trichobezoars, pharmacobezoars,and lactobezoars. Gastric bezoars often cause ulcerativelesions in the stomach and subsequent bleeding,whereas small intestinal bezoars present with smallbowel obstruction and ileus. A number of articles haveemphasized the usefulness of Coca-Cola？ administrationfor the dissolution of phytobezoars. However, persimmonphytobezoars may be resistant to such dissolutiontreatment because of their harder consistency comparedto other types of phytobezoars. Better understanding ofthe etiology and epidemiology of each type of bezoarwill facilitate prompt diagnosis and *** we provide an overview of the prevalence, classification,predisposing factors, and manifestations ofbezoars. Diagnosis and management strategies arealso discussed, reviewing mainly our own case *** progress in basic research regarding persimmonphytobezoars is also briefly reviewed.

Assessment of GIAHS in Shizuoka: The Traditional Tea-grass Integrated System

I IntroductionIn 2013, Chagusaba, which is traditional tea-grass integrated system in Shizuoka, were accepted as new world heritage site of agriculture. Shizuoka prefecture occupies a variety of elevations, from 0 to 3000 m or more above sea level. Because of the diversity of land features and climates, this area produces 167 agricultural commodities. In addition, a lot of traditional agriculture and over 200 local native varieties of crops have been conserved in Shizuoka prefecture. Chagusuha farming is one of good examples of traditional agricultural system which conserve rich biodiversity.

Effect of vanadium and chromium on the microstructural features of V–Cr–Mn–Ni spheroidal carbide cast irons

The objective of this investigation is to study the influence of vanadium（5.0wt%–10.0wt%） and chromium（0–9.0wt%） on the microstructure and hardness of Cr-V-Mn-Ni white cast irons with spheroidal vanadium carbides. The alloys＇ microstructural features are presented and discussed with regard to the distribution of phase elements. The structural constituents of the alloys are spheroidal VC, proeutectoid cementite, ledeburite eutectic, rosette-shaped carbide eutectic（based on M7C3）, pearlite, martensite, and austenite. Their combinations and area fraction（AF） ratios are reported to be influenced by the alloys＇ chemical composition. Spheroidized VC particles are found to be sites for the nucleation of carbide eutectics. Cr and V are shown to substitute each other in the VC and M7C3 carbides, respectively. Chromium alloying leads to the formation of a eutectic（γ-Fe ＋ М7С3）, preventing the appearance of proeutectoid cementite in the structure. Vanadium and chromium are revealed to increase the total carbide fraction and the amount of austenite in the matrix. Cr is observed to play a key role in controlling the metallic matrix microstructure.

Traditional Tea-grass Integrated System in Shizuoka as a GIAHS Site: Values and Conservation——Background of Application and Efforts after Registration

The traditional tea-grass integrated system in Shizuoka is the first example of a Globally Important Agriculture Heritage Systems(GIAHS)site in Japan that was proposed by a local *** this paper,we report the background and circumstances leading to the recognition of this system,its registration as a GIAHS,and its current use after *** semi-natural grasslands have decreased considerably in Japan,we found unique semi-natural grasslands with no pest insects and a rich biodiversity around the tea *** grasslands and the farming method employed are known as'Chagusaba',which was registered as a GIAHS in ***,the registration process for GIAHS was not easy,as many local farmers do not understand the value of their traditional farming methods or the GIAHS *** registering Chagusaba as a GIAHS,our main agenda was *** farming,with time and effort,produces high-quality *** labor saving technologies in agriculture have progressed in Japan,the price of high-quality tea has declined,and consequently,the numbers of farmers performing the inefficient traditional farming methods are *** is necessary to correctly brand the Chagusaba-grown tea and reflect the value of the traditional farming method in the *** local government of the Shizuoka Prefecture is currently working on implementing a certification system,which includes scientific evaluation using GPS,and the introduction of biodiversity indicators.

Abrasive resistance of metastable V–Cr–Mn–Ni spheroidal carbide cast irons using the factorial design method

Full factorial design was used to evaluate the two-body abrasive resistance of 3wt%C–4wt%Mn–1.5wt%Ni spheroidal carbide cast irons with varying vanadium（5.0wt%–10.0wt%） and chromium（up to 9.0wt%） contents. The alloys were quenched at 920℃. The regression equation of wear rate as a function of V and Cr contents was proposed. This regression equation shows that the wear rate decreases with increasing V content because of the growth of spheroidal VC carbide amount. Cr influences the overall response in a complex manner both by reducing the wear rate owing to eutectic carbides（M7C3） and by increasing the wear rate though stabilizing austenite to deformation-induced martensite transformation. This transformation is recognized as an important factor in increasing the abrasive response of the alloys. By analyzing the regression equation, the optimal content ranges are found to be 7.5wt%–10.0wt% for V and 2.5wt%–4.5wt% for Cr, which corresponds to the alloys containing 9vol%–15vol% spheroidal VC carbides, 8vol%–16vol% M7C3, and a metastable austenite/martensite matrix. The wear resistance is 1.9–2.3 times that of the traditional 12wt% V–13wt% Mn spheroidal carbide cast iron.

Microstructure and phase elemental distribution in high-boron multicomponent cast irons

The novel cast irons of chemical composition(wt%)0.7C-5W-5Mo-5V-10Cr-2.5Ti were invented with the additions of 1.6wt%B and 2.7wt%*** aim of this work was to study the effect of boron on the structural state of the alloys and phase elemental distribution with respect to the formation of wear-resistant structural *** was found that the alloy containing 1.6wt%B was composed of three eutectics:(a)“M_(2)(C,B)_(5)+ferrite”having a“Chinese Script”morphology(89.8vol%),(b)“M_(7)(C,B)_(3)+Austenite”having a“Rosette”morphology,and(c)“M_(3)C+Austenite”having a“Ledeburite”-shaped morphology(2.7vol%).With 2.7wt%of boron content,the bulk hardness increased from HRC 31 to HRC *** primary carboborides M_(2)(C,B)_(5) with average microhardness of HV 2797 appeared in the structure with a volume fraction of 17.6vol%.The volume fraction of eutectics(a)and(b,c)decreased to 71.2vol%and 3.9vol%,*** matrix was“ferrite/austenite”for 1.6wt%B and“ferrite/pearlite”for 2.7wt%*** cast irons contained compact precipitates of carbide(Ti,M)C and carboboride(Ti,M)(C,В)with a volume fraction of 7.3%-7.5%.Based on the energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy,the elemental phase distributions and the appropriate phase formulas are presented in this work.

Duplication cyst of the small intestine found by double-balloon endoscopy:A case report

A 35-year-old man was admitted due to bloody stool and anemia. The bleeding source could not be detected by esophagogastroduodenoscopy or colonoscopy. Double balloon endoscopy (DBE) revealed a diverticulum-like hole in which coagula stuck in the ileum at 1 meter on the oral side from the ileocecal valve. The adjacent mucosa just to the oral side of the hole was elevated like a submucosal tumor. The lesion was considered the source of bleeding and removed surgically. It was determined to be a cyst with an ileal structure on the mesenteric aspect accompanying gastric mucosa. The diagnosis was a duplication cyst of the ileum,which is a rare entity that can cause gastrointestinal bleeding. In the present case,DBE was used to fi nd the hemorrhagic duplication cyst in the ileum.

Pharmacological Prospects of Oxygenated Abietane-Type Diterpenoids from <i>Taxodium distichum</i>Cones

Eight naturally occurring diterpenoids, including 6,7-dehydroroyleanone, taxodal, taxodione, salvinolone, 14-deoxycoleon U, 5,6-dehydrosugiol, sandaracopimaric acid, and xanthoperol were isolated from Taxodium distichum cones and their biological properties evaluated in vitro against six different biological screening targets. Taxodione showed potent activity against a number of different targets, and salvinolone and 14-deoxycoleon U showed remarkable inhibitory activities against prolyl oligopeptidase (POP) and 17α-hydroxylase/C17,20-lyase (CYP17), respectively. These three compounds also showed strong cytotoxic activities against HL60 and K562 human leukemia cells. The structure-activity relationships of these compounds have also been considered. The findings in this study could lead to enhanced pharmacological prospects for the natural abietane-type diterpenoids consisting in conifer cones.
