Characteristics and geological significance of carbon and oxygen isotopes of the Permian Lucaogou Formation dolomite in the southern Junggar Basin, northwestern China

Anomalously positive δ13C values in ancient dolomites are very *** gray argillaceous rocks of the lacustrine sediments of the Permian Lucaogou Formation are important source rocks in the Junggar Basin,and dolomites of varying thicknesses from 10 cm to 150 cm are often interspersed in argillaceous *** on the study of petrographic sections,this paper systematically analyzes the carbon and oxygen isotopes of dolomite and discusses the causes of abnormally high carbon isotope values and their significance in reconstructing paleoenvironment and *** results show that carbon isotope values are abnormally high in the dolomite of Lucaogou Formation,and the δ13C value is between+3.2‰PDB and+19.6‰PDB,with an average of+9.7‰*** δ18O values range from-17.4‰PDB to-1.7‰PDB,with an average of-8.1‰*** the lower part to the upper part of the Lucaogou Formation,the carbon isotope value gradually increases and becomes increasingly positive,and the carbon isotope of the dolomite deposited near the shore is more positive than that of the dolomite deposited far from the *** anomalously positive δ13C of the dolomite is mainly caused by microbial methanogenesis,with some contribution from *** are mainly distributed at the redox *** controls the salinity and fluctuation of the redox interface in sedimentary *** positive deviation difference in carbon isotopes between nearshore and offshore sedimentary dolomites may be related to the location of the redox interface during ***,the petrographic features and carbon and oxygen isotope signatures of the sections reflect the gradual evolution of the paleolake from a hydrologically open environment to a hydrologically closed one and the possible transition of the paleoclimate from a relatively warm to an arid condition,which is possibly a geochemical response to global climate change in the Permian period.

Accelerated Value Iteration for Nonlinear Zero-Sum Games with Convergence Guarantee

In this paper,an accelerated value iteration(VI)algorithm is established to solve the zero-sum game problem with convergence ***,inspired by the successive over relaxation theory,the convergence rate of the iterative value function sequence is accelerated significantly with the relaxation ***,the convergence and monotonicity of the value function sequence are analyzed under different ranges of the relaxation ***,two practical approaches,namely the integrated scheme and the relaxation function,are introduced into the accelerated VI algorithm to guarantee the convergence of the iterative value function sequence for zero-sum *** integrated scheme consists of the accelerated stage and the convergence stage,and the relaxation function can adjust the value of the relaxation ***,including the autopilot controller,the fantastic performance of the accelerated VI algorithm is verified through two examples with practical physical backgrounds.

Diverse responses of fungal functional groups to desertification in forest soils of Pinus densata on the Chinese Tibetan plateau

Rapid increase in desertification is an environ-mental concern,especially for the health and sustainabil-ity of ecosystems in changing *** ecosystems respond to such changes may be partially understood by studying interactions and performance of critically impor-tant groups such as soil fungi functional *** study investigated variations in diversities of three soil fungi functional guilds(saprotrophic,symbiotic,pathogenic)and influencing abiotic factors in a Pinus densata forest on the southeast Tibetan Plateau where desertification is *** results indicate desertification significantly decreased the proportion of dominant fungal guild-symbiotic fungi(mean relative abundance decreasing from 97.0%to 68.3%),in contrast to saprotrophic fungi(increasing from 2.7%to 25.7%)and pathogenic(from 0.3%to 5.9%).Soil pH had the most significant impact on fungal community structure and negatively correlated with symbiotic fungal richness,which was significantly lower in arid soils,and positively correlated with saprotrophic and pathogenic fungal alpha-diversity,which were *** community struc-tures and regulators of the three fungi communities were observed,with pH,total phosphorus and ammonium(NH_(4)^(+))as the main *** study links the biotic and abi-otic components during desertification and the interactions between them,and may be used as indicators of ecosystem health and for amendments to mitigate the effects of a chang-ing climate.

A dual-frequency(DF)dielectric barrier discharge,excited by the superposition of a 50 Hz low frequency(LF)and a 5000 Hz intermediate frequency(IF),is proposed to enhance *** effect of the LF voltage component on the breakdown behaviour of the DF discharge during different periods has been studied both experimentally and *** number of high-current pulses rises as the LF voltage *** statistical analysis shows that the number of the current pulse amplitude above 80 mA in the DF discharge reaches nearly 6 times that in the IF ***,the total discharge energy in the DF discharge is significantly higher than that in the IF *** simulation re-produces the temporal variation of the breakdown behaviours in the DF *** simulated results reveal that the maximal electric field strength of the breakdown process is greater in the DF discharge compared to the IF discharge during a half-period of ***,the comparison between the IF and DF discharges exhibits that the LF voltage regulates the accumulation of residual charged species on the dielectric surface after the breakdown by modulating the residual voltage between the air gap.

Single-step-etched ultra-compact metamaterial grating coupler enabled by a hierarchical inverse design approach

With the concept of metamaterials introduced into integrated photonics,subwavelength structures have gained popularity for their ability to create devices with ultra-compact size,high performance,and versatile ***,traditional metamaterial design methods are usually based on empirical templates and physical approximations,lacking the ability to design free-form metamaterial structures and optimize entire devices *** this work,we propose a hierarchical inverse design approach that combines a conventional effective refractive index based metamaterial structures design with a follow-up global topology *** empirical metamaterial grating coupler design based on effective refractive index engineering faces inaccurate index extraction and insufficient approximation of wavevector matching conditions,which deteriorates coupling efficiency,especially for fully-etched devices with the decreased tapering ***,a subsequent overall topology optimization step can well compensate for the negative effect of the shrinking device footprint to increase the efficiency of the metamaterial grating *** demonstrate a 23μm×10μm ultra-compact metamaterial grating coupler with single-stepetched to couple light between a fiber and a 500 nm single-mode silicon waveguide in the *** measurement shows an insertion loss of 3.17 dB and a 3 dB bandwidth of 77 nm,making it the smallest footprint device ever reported.

DeepOCL:A deep neural network for Object Constraint Language generation from unrestricted nature language

Object Constraint Language(OCL)is one kind of lightweight formal specification,which is widely used for software verification and validation in NASA and Object Management Group *** OCL provides a simple expressive syntax,it is hard for the developers to write correctly due to lacking knowledge of the mathematical foundations of the first-order logic,which is approximately half accurate at the first stage of devel-opment.A deep neural network named DeepOCL is proposed,which takes the unre-stricted natural language as inputs and automatically outputs the best-scored OCL candidates without requiring a domain conceptual model that is compulsively required in existing rule-based generation *** demonstrate the validity of our proposed approach,ablation experiments were conducted on a new sentence-aligned dataset named *** experiments show that the proposed DeepOCL can achieve state of the art for OCL statement generation,scored 74.30 on BLEU,and greatly outperformed experienced developers by 35.19%.The proposed approach is the first deep learning approach to generate the OCL expression from the natural *** can be further developed as a CASE tool for the software industry.

Background:Cancer-related fatigue(CRF)is a common and debilitating symptom experienced by patients with advanced-stage cancer,especially those undergoing antitumor *** study aimed to evaluate the efficacy and safety of Renshenguben(RSGB)oral solution,a ginseng-based traditional Chinese medicine,in alleviating CRF in patients with advanced hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC)receiving antitumor ***:In this prospective,open-label,controlled,multicenter study,patients with advanced HCC at BCLC stage C and a brief fatigue inventory(BFI)score of≥4 were *** were assigned to the RSGB group(RSGB,10 mL twice daily)or the control group(with supportive care).Primary and secondary endpoints were the change in multidimensional fatigue inventory(MFI)score,and BFI and functional assessment of cancer therapy-hepatobiliary(FACT-Hep)scores at weeks 4 and 8 after *** events(AEs)and toxicities were ***:A total of 409 participants were enrolled,with 206 assigned to the RSGB *** week 4,there was a trend towards improvement,but the differences were not statistically *** week 8,the RSGB group exhibited a significantly lower MFI score(P<0.05)compared to the control group,indicating improved fatigue ***,the RSGB group showed significantly greater decrease in BFI and FACT-Hep scores at week 8(P<0.05).Subgroup analyses among patients receiving various antitumor treatments showed similar *** linear regression analyses revealed that the RSGB group experienced a significantly substantial decrease in MFI,BFI,and FACT-Hep scores at week *** serious drug-related AEs or toxicities were ***:RSGB oral solution effectively reduced CRF in patients with advanced HCC undergoing antitumor therapy over an eight-week period,with no discernible *** findings support the potential of RSGB oral solution as an adjunctive treatment for managing CRF in this patient population.

To improve the plastic deformation performance of a 08AL carbon steel ultra-thin strip,a pulsed electric field was integrated into the plastic processing of the ultra-thin strip,and the effects of high-energy current on its deformation ability were ***-assisted tensile tests were employed,and the results clarified that the pulsed current could reduce the activation energy of faults and promoted dislocation slip within grains and at grain boundaries,leading to a decrease in the deformation resistance of the metal and an increase in its plastic *** the current density of 2.0 A/mm2,the yield strength,tensile strength,and elongation of the rolled sample reached 425 MPa,467 MPa,and 12.5%,*** the rolling process,it was found that the pulsed current promoted the dynamic recrystallization of the ultra-thin strip,reduced its dislocation density and deformation resistance,and promoted the coordinated deformation of the metal.
