p38γ regulates UV-induced checkpoint signaling and repair of UV-induced DNA damage

In eukaryotic cells,DNA damage triggers activation of checkpoint signaling pathways that coordinate cell cycle arrest and repair of damaged *** DNA damage responses serve to maintain genome stability and prevent accumulation of genetic mutations and development of *** p38 MAPK was previously implicated in cellular responses to several types of DNA ***,the role of each of the four p38 isoforms and the mechanism for their involvement in DNA damage responses remained poorly *** this study,we demonstrate that p38γ,but not the other p38 isoforms,contributes to the survival of UV-treated *** of p38γsensitizes cells to UV exposure,accompanied by prolonged S phase cell cycle arrest and increased rate of *** investigation reveal that p38γis essential for the optimal activation of the checkpoint signaling caused by UV,and for the efficient repair of UVinduced DNA *** findings have established a novel role of p38γin UV-induced DNA damage responses,and suggested that p38γcontributes to the ability of cells to cope with UV exposure by regulating the checkpoint signaling pathways and the repair of damaged DNA.

Commercial lithium-ion batteries (LIBs) have been widely used in various energy storage systems. However, many unfavorable factors of LIBs have prompted researchers to turn their attention to the development of emerging secondary batteries. Aqueous zinc ion batteries (AZIBs) present some prominent advantages with environmental friendliness, low cost and convenient operation feature. MnO_(2) electrode is the first to be discovered as promising cathode material. So far, manganese-based oxides have made significant progresses in improving the inherent capacity and energy density. Herein, we summarize comprehensively recent advances of Mn-based compounds as electrode materials for ZIBs. Especially, this review focuses on the design strategies of electrode structures, optimization of the electrochemical performance and the clarification of energy storage mechanisms. Finally, their future research directions and perspective are also proposed.

The past decade has witnessed the germination of rechargeable aluminum batteries(RABs)with the colossal potential to enact as a device for the large scale energy storage and *** Majority of investigations are dedicated to the exploration of suitable cathode materials,while less is known about the electrode/electrolyte interfaces that determine the electrochemistry of *** this perspective,we will highlight the significance of electrode/electrolyte interface for RABs,in overall kinetics and capacity *** will be laid on the complicated yet basic understandings of the phenomena at the interfaces,including the dendrite growth,surface Al2O3 and solid–electrolyte-interphase(SEI).And we will summarize the reported practice in effort to build better electrode/electrolyte interfaces in *** the end,outlook regarding to the challenges,opportunities and directions is presented.

Free-moving simulations of airplanes, submarines and other automobiles under extreme and emergency conditions are becoming increasingly important from operational and tactical perspectives. Such simulations are fairly challenging due to the extreme unsteady motions and high Re(Reynolds) numbers. The aim of this study is to perform a six-DOF motion simulation of a 6:1prolate spheroid that is falling in a fluid field. Prior to conducting the six-DOF simulation, some verification simulations were performed. First, a laminar flow past an inclined prolate spheroid at a Re number of 1000 and incidence angle of 45. with a tetrahedral mesh was simulated to verify the relevant targeted discrete method for an unstructured mesh. Second, to verify the LES(large eddy simulation) models and dependent parameters for the DDES(delayed detached eddy simulation), a turbulent flow past a sphere was performed at a subcritical Re number of 10000. Third, a steady maneuvering problem about a prolate spheroid pitching up from 0. to 30. incidence at a uniform angular velocity was established based on a dynamic tetrahedral mesh with changing topology and the ALE(arbitrary Lagrangian-Eulerian) method of fluid-structure coupling at a Re number of 4.2 × 10~***, two six-DOF motions of an inclined 6:1 prolate spheroid at an initial incidence of 45. were simulated at different Re numbers of 10000 and 4.2 × 10~6.

Two-terminal(2-T)perovskite(PVK)/CuIn(Ga)Se_(2)(CIGS)tandem solar cells(TSCs)have been considered as an ideal tandem cell because of their best bandgap matching regarding to Shockley–Queisser(S–Q)***,the nature of the irregular rough morphology of commercial CIGS prevents people from improving tandem device *** this paper,D-homoserine lactone hydrochloride is proven to improve coverage of PVK materials on irregular rough CIGS surfaces and also passivate bulk defects by modulating the growth of PVK *** addition,the minority carriers near the PVK/C60 interface and the incompletely passivated trap states caused interface recombination.A surface reconstruction with 2-thiopheneethylammonium iodide and N,N-dimethylformamide assisted passivates the defect sites located at the surface and grain ***,LiF is used to create this field effect,repelling hole carriers away from the PVK and C60 interface and thus reducing *** a result,a 2-T PVK/CIGS tandem yielded a power conversion efficiency of 24.6%(0.16 cm^(2)),one of the highest results for 2-T PVK/CIGS TSCs to our *** validation underscores the potential of our methodology in achieving superior performance in PVK/CIGS tandem solar cells.

Leaf senescence is controlled by a complex regulatory network in which robustness is ensured by the activity of transcription factors and epigenetic ***,how these coordinate the process of leaf senescence remains poorly *** found that WHIRLY1 interacts with Histone Deacetylase(HDA)15,a Reduced Potassium Dependence3(RPD3)/HDA1-type HDA,by using green fluorescent protein-nanotrap-mass spectrum *** development-dependent interaction between WHIRLY1 and HDA15 was further confirmed by bimolecular fluorescence complementation assays and co-immunoprecipitation assays in ***-omics genome-wide transcriptome and H3K9 acetylome enrichment analysis showed that HDA15 delays leaf senescence and flowering by repressing the expression of the positive regulators of leaf senescence and flowering,such as LOX2 and LARP1 C,and reducing H3K9 ac levels at these loci;WHIRLY1 and HDA15 co-target to the region near the transcription start site of a subset of nutrient recycling-related genes(e.g.,Glutathione S-transferases 10,non-coding RNA,and photosystem II protein D1 synthesizer attenuator PDIL1-2),as well as WRKY53 and ELF4,and co-repress their expression by removing H3K9 *** study revealed a key transcription regulatory node of nutrient recycling and senescence-associated genes involved in leaf senescence and flowering via the recruitment of HDA15 by the single-stranded DNA/RNA-binding protein WHIRLY1.

Logical behavioral arrangements are a class of conventional arrangements to illustrate the happening of incidents in an appropriate and structured approach in vehicular ad hoc network （VANET）. These incidents are characterized as a list of path segments that are passed through by the vehicles for the duration of their journeys from a pre-decided local source to a local destination in a structured manner. A set of proper description illustrating the paths traversed by the vehicles as logical behavioral arrangements is describedin this paper. The data gathering scheme based on secure authentication to gather the data from the vehicles is proposed in this paper. This proposed data gathering scheme based on secure authentication is compared with the existing data gathering schemes by using veins framework and the results of analysis reflect that the proposed scheme outperforms among others. The data collected from the vehicles by the proposed data gathering scheme is stored at distributed road side units （RSUs）. From these collected paths, the common and frequent paths opted by the vehicles in a certain region are determined by using frequent arrangement mining approach. An estimation model is used to decidethe next path and the whole path map opted by the vehicles in unusual situations like accident, jams, or a particular time of day. The proposed scheme will helpthe society in reducing the waiting time in vent of emergency or normal working days.

Several types of acoustic metamaterials composed of resonant units have been developed to achieve low-frequency *** most of these structures,bandgaps are determined by their geometric configurations and material *** paper presents a frequency-displacement feedback control method for vibration suppression in a sandwich-like acoustic metamaterial *** band structure is theoretically derived using the Hamilton principle and validated by comparing the theoretical calculation results with the finite element simulation *** this method,the feedback voltage is related to the displacement of a resonator and the excitation *** applying a feedback voltage on the piezoelectric fiber-reinforced composite(PFRC)layers attached to a cantilever-mass resonator,the natural frequency of the resonator can be *** ensures that the bandgap moves in a frequency-dependent manner to keep the excitation frequency within the *** on this frequency-displacement feedback control strategy,the bandgap of the metamaterial plate can be effectively adjusted,and the vibration of the metamaterial plate can be significantly suppressed.

NidA3B3 is a terminal dioxygenase whose favorable substrates are high-molecular-weight polyaromatic hydrocarbons(PAHs)from Mycobacterium vanbaalenii PYR-1,a powerftil PAHs degradation ***3B3 was reported to incorporate a dioxygen into the benzene ring of PAHs when equipped with an exogenous electron transport chain components PhdCD from Nocarciioides *** KP7 by biotransformation,but this enzyme system was not particularly *** this study,strain PYR-1 was confirmed to utilize four different PAHs at different growth *** PhtAcAd,an endogenous electron transport chain of a phthalate dioxygenase system,was substituted for PhdCD to couple with NidA3B3,the specific activity to convert phenanthrene by strain BL21(DE3)[pNidA3B3-PhAcAd]was 0.15±0.03 U/mg,but the specific activity of strain BL21(DE3)[pNidA3B3-PhdCD]was only 0.025±0.006U/*** addition,FNidA3,encoded by a newly defined ORF,has a prolonged 19-amino acid sequence at the N-terminus compared with ***3B3 increased the activity by 50%approximately than NidA3B3 when using *** of the electron transport chain PhtAc and PhtAd were purified and *** Km,kcal,kcat/Km values of the PhtAd were 123±26.9 pM,503±49.9 min^-1,4.1μM^-1·min^-1,*** the,Km,Kcat,Kcat/Km values of the ferredoxin PhtAc were (52.5±9.7)μM,3.8±0.19min^-1 and 0.07μM^-1 min1,*** on the phylogenetic analysis,NidA3/FNidA3 were far from its isoenzyme NidA from the same *** their primary differences of transcriptional pattern in vivo,it indicated that the functionally similar Rieske dioxygenases NidA3B3/FNidA3B3 and NidAB might originate from different ancestors.
