Optimism, Social Support, and Caregiving Burden among the Long-Term Caregivers: The Mediating Effect of Psychological Resilience

Background As the elderly population grows, the demand for long-term care services is increasing. Despite significant investments in care quality and workforce training, long-term care workers often face challenges such as work fatigue, heavy workloads, and inadequate support. These issues can impact job satisfaction, mental health, and care quality, leading to staff turnover. This study examines how optimism, social support, and psychological resilience relate to caregiving burden, aiming to understand their effects on caregivers’ well-being and performance to enhance the quality of long-term care services. Methods The participants were 542 long-term care workers. Descriptive statistics, t -tests, one-way ANOVA, and hierarchical regression were used for data analysis. Results (1) Optimism and social support were significantly and positively correlated with psychological resilience and significantly and negatively associated with caregiving burden. (2) Regarding differences in optimism, social support, psychological resilience, and caregiving burden among long-term care workers, females scored significantly higher than males in “social support;” married workers scored significantly higher than unmarried workers in “optimism,” “social support,” and “psychological resilience”; workers aged 45–65 scored significantly higher than those aged 25–45 in “optimism”; workers aged 25–45 scored significantly higher than those aged 45–65 in “caregiving burden”; social workers scored significantly higher than nursing staff in “optimism.” (3) Psychological resilience partially mediated the relationship between social support and caregiving burden concerning explanatory and predictive power. Conclusions These findings suggest that optimism, social support, and psychological resilience are essential factors in reducing the caregiving burden among long-term care workers. The continuous inflammatory response in diabetic skin wounds leads to excessive production of reactive oxygen species,which cause a vicious circle of long-term *** the therapeutic research of metal nanoenzymes for healing diabetic ulcers,it still faces the challenges in poor nanoenzymes activity and low-efficient therapeutic ***,ultrasmall oxygen-deficient MoO_(3−X)quantum dots were fabricated and employed as nanoenzymes for healing fiabetic *** PEGylation,PEGylated MoO_(3−X)quantum dots(MoO_(3−X)/PEG)with oxygen vacancies exhibits excellent photothermal,peroxidase/catalase-like *** addition,these MoO_(3−X)/PEG showed superior properties in scavenging H_(2)O_(2)and effectively inhibiting the scavenging of reactive oxygen *** importantly,such an oxygen-defected MoO_(3−X)/PEG had obvious antibacterial and skin repairing effects on alleviating hypoxia and excessive oxidative stress even in a mouse model of diabetic ulcers,inhibiting proinflammatory cytokines and significantly accelerating the healing of infected wounds,which shows great application potential for promoting wound *** work highlights that the developed oxygen defected molybdenum oxide compounds capable of peroxidaselike and catalase-like activities show great application potential for healing diabetes wound.

The abundance, distribution, and enrichment mechanism of harmful trace elements in coals from Guizhou, Southwestern China

Coal seams can enrich a variety of harmful trace elements under specifi c geological conditions. The spatial distribution of harmful trace elements in coal is extremely uneven, and the distribution characteristics of each element content are diff erent. The harmful elements released in the process of coal mining and utilization will cause serious harm to the environment and the human body. It is of great resource signifi cance to study the geochemistry of coal that aff ects the enrichment and distribution characteristics of harmful trace elements. Based on the domestic and foreign literature on coal geochemistry in Guizhou published by previous investigators, this study counted 1097 sample data from 23 major coal-producing counties in Guizhou Province,systematically summarized the relevant research results of harmful trace elements in the coal of Guizhou, and revealed the overall distribution and enrichment characteristics of harmful trace elements in the coal of Guizhou. The results show that the average contents of Cd, Pb, Se, Cu,Mo, U, V, As, Hg, and Cr in coal of Guizhou are higher than those in Chinese coal and world coal. A variety of harmful trace elements in the coal of Guizhou have high background values, especially in Liupanshui, Xingyi and Qianbei coalfi eld. The enrichment of various harmful trace elements in the Late Permian coal in Guizhou is mainly related to the combined action of various geological and geochemical factors. The supply of terrigenous debris and sedimentary environment may be the basic background of the enrichment of harmful elements in western Guizhou,while low-temperature hydrothermal activity and volcanic ash deposition may be the main reasons for the enrichment of harmful elements in southwestern Guizhou.

The space-air-ground integrated networks (SAGIN) has emerged as a critical paradigm to address the growing demands for global connectivity and enhanced communication services. This paper gives a thorough review of the strategies and methodologies for resource allocation within SAGIN, focusing on the challenges and solutions within its complex structure. With the advent of technologies such as 6G, the dynamics of resource optimization have become increasingly complex, necessitating innovative approaches for efficient management. We examine the application of mathematical optimization, game theory, artificial intelligence (AI), and dynamic optimization techniques in SAGIN,offering insights into their effectiveness in ensuring optimal resource distribution, minimizing delays, and maximizing network throughput and stability. The survey highlights the significant advances in AI-based methods,particularly deep learning and reinforcement learning, in tackling the inherent challenges of SAGIN resource allocation. Through a critical review of existing literature, this paper categorizes various resource allocation strategies, identifies current research gaps, and discusses potential future directions. Our findings highlight the crucial role of integrated and intelligent resource allocation mechanisms in realizing the full potential of SAGIN for next-generation communication networks.

Atomic-scale mechanism of effect of co-separation of elements at interface of ferrite and austenite on Cr-depleted zone of duplex stainless steel

Three-dimensional atom-probe tomography and first-principles calculation combined with density functional theory were used to study the effect of the co-segregation of different elements formed during the solidification process of S32205 duplex stainless steel on the Cr-depleted zone at the interface between ferrite and *** was found that the co-segregation of different elements formed during the solidification process of duplex stainless steel can also form Cr-depleted zone at the interface between ferrite and ***,Mo,Si,B,C and P atoms promote co-segregation with Cr atoms,which promotes the formation of Cr-depleted zone at the interface between ferrite and austenite in duplex stainless *** and Si strongly promote the segregation of Cr at the interface between ferrite and austenite,thereby promoting the formation of Cr-depleted zone.B,C and P elements also promote the segregation of Cr element at the interface between ferrite and austenite and the formation of Cr-depleted zone,but their effect is weaker than that of Mo and Si *** conclusions provide a new theoretical basis for improving the intergranular corrosion performance of duplex stainless steel.

A real-time intelligent lithology identification method based on a dynamic felling strategy weighted random forest algorithm

Real-time intelligent lithology identification while drilling is vital to realizing downhole closed-loop drilling. The complex and changeable geological environment in the drilling makes lithology identification face many challenges. This paper studies the problems of difficult feature information extraction,low precision of thin-layer identification and limited applicability of the model in intelligent lithologic identification. The author tries to improve the comprehensive performance of the lithology identification model from three aspects: data feature extraction, class balance, and model design. A new real-time intelligent lithology identification model of dynamic felling strategy weighted random forest algorithm(DFW-RF) is proposed. According to the feature selection results, gamma ray and 2 MHz phase resistivity are the logging while drilling(LWD) parameters that significantly influence lithology identification. The comprehensive performance of the DFW-RF lithology identification model has been verified in the application of 3 wells in different areas. By comparing the prediction results of five typical lithology identification algorithms, the DFW-RF model has a higher lithology identification accuracy rate and F1 score. This model improves the identification accuracy of thin-layer lithology and is effective and feasible in different geological environments. The DFW-RF model plays a truly efficient role in the realtime intelligent identification of lithologic information in closed-loop drilling and has greater applicability, which is worthy of being widely used in logging interpretation.

Competitive oxidation behavior of Ni-based superalloy GH4738 at extreme temperature

A high thrust-to-weight ratio poses challenges to the high-temperature performance of Ni-based superalloys. The oxidation behavior of GH4738 at extreme temperatures has been investigated by isothermal and non-isothermal experiments. As a result of the competitive diffusion of alloying elements, the oxide scale included an outermost porous oxide layer (OOL), an inner relatively dense oxide layer (IOL), and an internal oxide zone (IOZ), depending on the temperature and time. A high temperature led to the formation of large voids at the IOL/IOZ interface. At 1200℃, the continuity of the Cr-rich oxide layer in the IOL was destroyed, and thus, spallation occurred. Extension of oxidation time contributed to the size of Al-rich oxide particles with the increase in the IOZ. Based on this finding,the oxidation kinetics of GH4738 was discussed, and the corresponding oxidation behavior at 900-1100℃ was predicted.

Correlation between longitudinal crack occurrence and mold heat transfer in continuous casting based on process data mining

The correlation between the longitudinal crack occurrence and integrated heat transfer of the mold with data mining methods was ***,three kinds of support vector machine models based on principal component analysis with different input features were established to explore the effect of integrated heat transfer on the accuracy of the prediction model for the longitudinal *** results show that the accuracy was improved while features including mean and standard deviation of integrated heat transfer were ***,the difference in integrated heat transfer between defect and normal samples under the same process parameters was quantitatively *** with normal samples,the temperature difference of cooling water for defect samples decreased by 0.65%,and the temperature difference fluctuation increased by 31.1%.Finally,the literature data were used to provide support for the quantitative correlation according to defect formation mechanism.A new criterion for the prediction of longitudinal crack and a discovering method for correlation between product quality and process parameters in the manufacturing industry have been provided.

Carbon nanotube(CNT)fibers have great promise for constructing multifunctional fabrics with high electrical conductivity,good electro-heating ability,excellent flexibility,and a low ***,the inter-fiber contacts in the fabric greatly reduce these advantages and limit their ***,a simple pressure-fusing method to fabricate single-wall CNT(SWCNT)fiber non-woven fabrics(NWFs)that are composed of interconnected SWCNT fibers with fused joints is reported,which have good flexibility,a low density of 0.46 g/cm^(3),a high electrical conductivity of 3.7×10^(5)S/m,and a record high specific electrical conductivity of 803(S·m^(2))/*** also showed excellent electrical heating ability,so that a temperature of~160℃was rapidly reached at a low voltage of 2 *** with their low density,the SWCNT fiber NWFs are promising for use as a heating unit for low temperature battery protection and de-icing applications.
