Material utilization is mainly concerned by industrialpractitioners since it contributes to minimize the totalproduction costs for garment manufacturing. Apart fromthe marker loss, splice loss (the fabric loss during thejoining of different fabric rolls) is one of the primarycauses of fabric loss, but it has not been considered spe-cifically in the past literatures. The amount of splice lossduring fabric spreading is governed by various factors in-cluding the marker length, the number of fabric rolls,and the number of splicing intervals for laying-up. Inour study, these three effects on splice loss during fabricspreading were computed and analysed.

In this study,we used a network meta-analysis(NMA)to compare the effectiveness of medicines and supplements for idiopathic male infertility and to identify the best ***,Excerpta Medica Database(EMBASE),Ovid,and china National Knowledge Infrastructure(CNKI),were searched for the period from January 1990 to June 2021 using the keywords"male infertility,""medical therapy,""supplement/nutrient therapy,"and related *** controlled trials(RCTs)investigating medicines(mainly follicle-stimulating hormone(FSH),androgen,and clomiphene/tamoxifen)or supplements(mainly zinc,selenium,vitamin C or E,carnitine,coenzyme Q10(CoQ10),or combined treatment)for idiopathic infertile men were selected for *** reporting items for systematic reviews and meta-analysis(PRISMA)was used for data extraction,and a risk-of-bias tool and grades of recommendation,assessment,development,and evaluation(GRADE)system adapted to the NMA were employed to assess the quality of the *** primary outcomes were live birth and spontaneous pregnancy rate(SPR).The secondary outcomes were sperm parameters(including concentration,progressive motility,and morphology)and side *** total,65 RCTs involving 7541 men with sperm abnormalities but normal hormone levels were included.A total of 36 studies reported SPR but only three reported live birth *** quality of the included studies was found to be moderate to *** with a placebo or being untreated,carnitine plus vitamins significantly improved SPR(relative risk(RR)=3.7,95%confidence interval(95%CI),1.6-8.5);fatty acids significantly increased sperm concentrations(mean difference(MD)=12.5×10^(6)mL-1,95%CI,3.1×10^(6)-22.0×10^(6));and selective estrogen receptor modulator(SERM)plus CoQ10 significantly improved sperm progressive motility(MD=11.0%,95%CI,0.1%-21.9%)and normal sperm morphology(MD=11.0%,95%CI,4.6%-17.4%).The most optimal intervention was carnitine plus vitamins and fatty acids for SPR a

This paper depicts a brief review on the applications of packed supercritical fluid chromatography (SFC) in palm oil analyses and purifications from early 1990s to date. Packed SFC has been used for the analyses of various palm oil components. The analytical separations have also been scaled up to preparative scale that leads to the recovery of high value components from palm oil. This review encompasses both analytical and preparative SFC in the oil palm processing.

Lateral dispersion significantly directs the assessment of rockfall hazard and design of countermeasures. In the present study, the dependence of lateral dispersion on different controlling factors has been systematically evaluated by performing laboratory tests using three different rock block types, namely circular block, and two types of elliptical block. The three types of rock block are released onto an inclined surface with the identical initial status. Parallel, anti-parallel, and oblique impact tests set at slope angles of 22.5° and 45°are conducted to study the block-slope interaction of rockfall. Lateral dispersion of rockfall is less influenced by the block shape for the oblique impact, while the post-impact behaviors are greatly affected by the block shape. The key factors influencing the deviation of the post-impact trajectory direction are the slope angle (θ) and direction difference (Δφ). An empirical model is then developed to characterize the deviation distribution of lateral dispersion by 5th and 95th percentile values with the inclusion of the two key factors. Linear function can be used to describe the 5th percentile boundary, while hyperbolic function is good for the 95th percentile boundary, which need to be validated by field tests in the subsequent research.

The rotating shallow water system is an important physical model, which has been widely used in many scientific areas, such as fluids, hydrodynamics, geophysics, oceanic and atmospheric *** this paper, we extend the application of the Adomian decomposition method from the single equation to the coupled system to investigate the numerical solutions of the rotating shallow water system with an underlying circular paraboloidal basin. By introducing some special initial values, we obtain interesting approximate pulsrodon solutions corresponding to pulsating elliptic warm-core rings, which take the form of realistic series solutions. Numerical results reveal that the numerical pulsrodon solutions can quickly converge to the exact solutions derived by Rogers and An, which fully shows the efficiency and accuracy of the proposed method. Note that the method proposed can be effectively used to construct numerical solutions of many nonlinear mathematical physics equations. The results obtained provide some potential theoretical guidance for experts to study the related phenomena in geography, oceanic and atmospheric science.
