Extraordinary synergy on 3D hierarchical porous Co-Cu nanocomposite for catalytic elimination of VOCs at low temperature and high space velocity

It is still a challenge to develop hierarchically nanostructured catalysts with simple approaches to enhance the low-temperature catalytic ***,a set of mesoporous Co-Cu binary metal oxides with different morphologies were successfully prepared via a facile ammonium bicarbonate precipitation method without any templates or surfactants,which were further applied for catalytic removal of carcinogenic *** the catalysts with different ratios,the CoCu_(0.2)composite oxide presented the best performance,where the temperature required for 90%conversion of toluene was only 237°C at the high weight hour space velocity(WHSV)of 240,000 mL/(gcat·hr).Meanwhile,compared to the related Co-Cu composite oxides prepared by using different precipitants(NaOH and H_(2)C_(2)O_(4)),the NH_(4)HCO_(3)-derived CoCu_(0.2)sample exhibited better catalytic efficiency in toluene oxidation,while the T90 were 22 and 28°C lower than those samples prepared by NaOH andH_(2)C_(2)O_(4)routes,*** on various characterizations,it could be deduced that the excellent performance was related to the small crystal size(6.7 nm),large specific surface area(77.0 m2/g),hollow hierarchical nanostructure with abundant high valence Co ions and adsorbed oxygen *** situ DRIFTS further revealed that the possible reaction pathway for the toluene oxidation over CoCu_(0.2)catalyst followed the route of absorbed toluene→benzyl alcohol→benzaldehyde→benzoic acid→carbonate→CO_(2)and H_(2)*** addition,CoCu_(0.2)sample could keep stable with long-time operation and occur little inactivation under humid condition(5 vol.%water),which revealed that the NH_(4)HCO_(3)-derived CoCu_(0.2)nanocatalyst possessed great potential in industrial applications for VOCs abatement.

Loess-mudstone landslides are common in the Loess *** into the mechanical theory of loess-mudstone landslides have become a challenging undertaking due to the distinctive interfacial properties of loess-mudstone and the unique water sensitivity characteristics of ***,it is imperative to develop innovative mechanical models and mathematical equations specifically tailored to loess-mudstone *** this study,we analyze the fracture mechanism of the loess-mudstone sliding zone using plastic fracture mechanics and develop a unique fracture yield *** calculate the energy release rate during the expansion of the loess-mudstone interface tip region,the shear fracture energy G is applied,which reflects both the yield failure criterion and the fracture failure *** better understand the instability mechanism of loess-mudstone landslides,equilibrium equations based on G are established for tractive,compressive,and tensile loess-mudstone *** on the equilibrium equation,the critical length Lc of the sliding zone can be used for the safety evaluation of loess-mudstone *** this way,this study proposes a new method for determining the failure mechanism and equilibrium equation of loessmudstone landslides,which resolves their starting mechanism,mechanical equilibrium equations,and safety evaluation indicators,thus justifying the scientific significance and practical value of this research.

Enhanced battery life prediction with reduced data demand via semi-supervised representation learning

Accurate prediction of the remaining useful life(RUL) is crucial for the design and management of lithium-ion *** various machine learning models offer promising predictions,one critical but often overlooked challenge is their demand for considerable run-to-failure data for *** of such training data leads to prohibitive testing efforts as the run-to-failure tests can last for ***,we propose a semi-supervised representation learning method to enhance prediction accuracy by learning from data without RUL *** approach builds on a sophisticated deep neural network that comprises an encoder and three decoder heads to extract time-dependent representation features from short-term battery operating data regardless of the existence of RUL *** approach is validated using three datasets collected from 34 batteries operating under various conditions,encompassing over 19,900 charge and discharge *** method achieves a root mean squared error(RMSE)within 25 cycles,even when only 1/50 of the training dataset is labelled,representing a reduction of 48%compared to the conventional *** also demonstrate the method's robustness with varying numbers of labelled data and different weights assigned to the three decoder *** projection of extracted features in low space reveals that our method effectively learns degradation features from unlabelled *** approach highlights the promise of utilising semi-supervised learning to reduce the data demand for reliability monitoring of energy devices.

Omnidirectional simulation analysis of thermomechanical coupling mechanism in inertia friction welding of Ni-based superalloy

The coupling between heat and pressure is the kernel of inertia friction welding(IFW)and is still not fully understood.A novel 3D fully coupled finite element model based on a plastic friction pair was developed to simulate the IFW process of a Ni-based superalloy and reveal the omnidirectional thermo-mechanical coupling mechanism of the friction *** numerical model successfully simulated the deceleration,deformation processes,and peak torsional moments in IFW and captured the evolution of temperature,contact pressure,and *** simulated results were validated through measured thermal history,optical macrography,and axial *** results indicated that interfacial friction heat was the primary heat source,and plastic deformation energy only accounted for 4%of the *** increase in initial rotational speed and friction pressure elevated the peak temperature,reaching a maximum of 1525.5k at an initial rotational speed of 2000 r/min and friction pressure of 400 *** interface heat generation could form an axial temperature gradient exceeding 320k/*** radial inhomogeneities of heat generation and temperature were manifested in a concentric ring distribution with maximum heat flux and temperature ranging from 2/5 to 2/3 *** radial inhomogeneities were caused by increasing linear velocity along the radius and an opposite distribution of contact pressure,which could reach 1.7 times the set pressure at the *** circumferential inhomogeneity of thermomechanical distribution during rotary friction welding was revealed for the first time,benefiting from the 3D *** deflection and transformation of distribution in contact pressure and Mises stress were indicators of plastic deformation and transition of quasi-steady state *** critical Mises stress was 0.5 times the friction pressure in this *** presented modeling provides a reliable insight into the thermo-mechanical coupling mechanism of IFW and lays a solid found

Three-dimensional line-of-sight-angle-constrained leader-following cooperative interception guidance law with prespecified impact time

To address the problem of multi-missile cooperative interception against maneuvering targets at a prespecified impact time and desired Line-of-Sight(LOS)angles in ThreeDimensional(3D)space,this paper proposes a 3D leader-following cooperative interception guidance ***,in the LOS direction of the leader,an impact time-controlled guidance law is derived based on the fixed-time stability theory,which enables the leader to complete the interception task at a prespecified impact ***,in the LOS direction of the followers,by introducing a time consensus tracking error function,a fixed-time consensus tracking guidance law is investigated to guarantee the consensus tracking convergence of the ***,in the direction normal to the LOS,by combining the designed global integral sliding mode surface and the second-order Sliding Mode Control(SMC)theory,an innovative 3D LOS-angle-constrained interception guidance law is developed,which eliminates the reaching phase in the traditional sliding mode guidance laws and effectively saves energy ***,it effectively suppresses the chattering phenomenon while avoiding the singularity issue,and compensates for unknown interference caused by target maneuvering online,making it convenient for practical engineering ***,theoretical proof analysis and multiple sets of numerical simulation results verify the effectiveness,superiority,and robustness of the investigated guidance law.

Influence of Synoptic Pattern on the Spatiotemporal Features and Diurnal Variation of Extremely Persistent Heavy Rainfall over the Sichuan Basin,china

The Sichuan Basin(SCB),china has a high incidence of extremely persistent heavy rainfall(EPHR)*** EPHR events from 2009 to 2019 in the SCB were mainly concentrated over the northern and northwestern windward slopes and the central *** occurred from June to September,but especially in July,and peaked at 0300 ***5 reanalysis data and objective classification were used to investigate the synoptic patterns and their *** were three synoptic patterns during EPHR events,all accompanied by a Southwest *** location and intensity of the Southwest Vortex,thermal forcing of the Tibetan Plateau(TP),and low-level winds can greatly affect the intensity and spatial distribution of *** the Southwest Vortex was located in the western SCB and there were southerly low-level jets(LLJs),convergence and upslope wind would lead to EPHR over the northwestern or northern windward *** there was no LLJ and the whole SCB was under the center of the Southwest Vortex,nocturnal EPHR was controlled by the internal circulation of the Southwest Vortex and the updraft generated by the thermal forcing of the TP,and the rainfall was *** southeastern entrance of the SCB was a key area where the low-level wind dominated the nocturnal peak of *** nocturnal strengthened southeasterly wind in the key area is attributable to inertial oscillation,and the topographic friction plays an essential role in transporting momentum and moisture into the basin by generating easterly and northeasterly ageostrophic winds.

Interannual variability of boreal summer intraseasonal oscillation over the northwestern Pacific influenced by the Pacific Meridional Mode

Comparisons of{100}texture improvement and formability in hot-rolled non-oriented electrical steel by austenite-ferrite phase transformation and shear deformation

Over the years,the high magnetic induction of industrial Mn-added electrical steel is assumed to be the enhancement of{100}texture derived from its austenite-ferrite phase transformation during hot rolling(phase transformation(PT)method).However,it is still undetermined without straightforward experimental *** reason for{100}texture improvement of Mn-added electrical steel is experimentally confirmed due to the recrystallization induced by the austenite-ferrite phase transformation during hot ***,a more promising methodology to further improve{100}texture and formability of hot-rolled electrical steel is promoted by the control of hot rolling deformation condition(shear deformation(SD)method).The results show that the nucleation mechanisms of{100}oriented recrystallized grains are different in the samples by SD and PT methods,which are in-depth shear deformation and austenite-ferrite phase transformation,*** this case,coarse{100}oriented recrystallized grains and low residual stress are obtained in the sample by SD method,which is responsible for its superior{100}texture and *** contrast,the sample by PT method forms fine recrystallized grains with random orientations and accumulates severe residual stress.
