Uncertainties of landslide susceptibility prediction: Influences of random errors in landslide conditioning factors and errors reduction by low pass filter method

In the existing landslide susceptibility prediction(LSP)models,the influences of random errors in landslide conditioning factors on LSP are not considered,instead the original conditioning factors are directly taken as the model inputs,which brings uncertainties to LSP results.This study aims to reveal the influence rules of the different proportional random errors in conditioning factors on the LSP un-certainties,and further explore a method which can effectively reduce the random errors in conditioning factors.The original conditioning factors are firstly used to construct original factors-based LSP models,and then different random errors of 5%,10%,15% and 20%are added to these original factors for con-structing relevant errors-based LSP models.Secondly,low-pass filter-based LSP models are constructed by eliminating the random errors using low-pass filter method.Thirdly,the Ruijin County of china with 370 landslides and 16 conditioning factors are used as study case.Three typical machine learning models,i.***.multilayer perceptron(MLP),support vector machine(SVM)and random forest(RF),are selected as LSP models.Finally,the LSP uncertainties are discussed and results show that:(1)The low-pass filter can effectively reduce the random errors in conditioning factors to decrease the LSP uncertainties.(2)With the proportions of random errors increasing from 5%to 20%,the LSP uncertainty increases continuously.(3)The original factors-based models are feasible for LSP in the absence of more accurate conditioning factors.(4)The influence degrees of two uncertainty issues,machine learning models and different proportions of random errors,on the LSP modeling are large and basically the same.(5)The Shapley values effectively explain the internal mechanism of machine learning model predicting landslide sus-ceptibility.In conclusion,greater proportion of random errors in conditioning factors results in higher LSP uncertainty,and low-pass filter can effectively reduce these random errors.

A Mean-Field Game for a Forward-Backward Stochastic System With Partial Observation and Common Noise

This paper considers a linear-quadratic(LQ) meanfield game governed by a forward-backward stochastic system with partial observation and common noise,where a coupling structure enters state equations,cost functionals and observation equations.Firstly,to reduce the complexity of solving the meanfield game,a limiting control problem is introduced.By virtue of the decomposition approach,an admissible control set is proposed.Applying a filter technique and dimensional-expansion technique,a decentralized control strategy and a consistency condition system are derived,and the related solvability is also addressed.Secondly,we discuss an approximate Nash equilibrium property of the decentralized control strategy.Finally,we work out a financial problem with some numerical simulations.

Erosion and covered zones altered by surface coverage effects on soil nitrogen and carbon loss from an agricultural slope under laboratorysimulated rainfall events

Soil erosion,one of the most serious environmental concerns,might remove topsoil and essential element from terrestrial land.However,few attentions have been given to investigating how soil erosion regimes affect soil carbon and nitrogen loss.Therefore,this study investigated the effects of surface coverage rates(83%,67%,50%,33%,17%and 0%)and two positions(up-and downslope)on erosion regimes and its associated soil nitrogen and carbon loss under a sequence of six rainfalls(R1-R6).These results showed that the sediment concentrations with 33%(R4)and 17%(R5)coverage downslope were significantly lower than those with coverage upslope,whereas there was no significant difference between the runoff rates of the two slopes.Thus,surface coverage at different positions induced two soil erosion regimes(deposition-and transport-dominated processes).Dynamics of the DON and DIN concentrations indicated different release processes of soil nitrogen into runoff.The DON contributed to a substantial amount of soil nitrogen loss,which accounted approximately 81%of the organic form.The SBOC is significantly correlated with sediment-enriched clay particles from the deposition-dominated processes and is higher than that from the transport-dominated processes.The DOC is significantly correlated with Rr for transport-dominated processes.These results illustrated the critical role of erosion regimes in soil organic carbon loss in dissolved or sediment-bound form.It is concluded that erosion/covered zones altered by surface coverage could produce transport-and deposition-dominated erosion regimes and consequently affect soil carbon and nitrogen loss.In addition,these results demonstrated that surface coverage pattern may efficiently control soil erosion and soil carbon and nitrogen loss.

Integrated multi-omics analysis reveals liver metabolic reprogramming by fish iridovirus and antiviral function of alpha-linolenic acid

Iridovirus poses a substantial threat to global aquaculture due to its high mortality rate;however,the molecular mechanisms underpinning its pathogenesis are not well elucidated.Here,a multi-omics approach was applied to groupers infected with Singapore grouper iridovirus(SGIV),focusing on the roles of key metabolites.Results showed that SGIV induced obvious histopathological damage and changes in metabolic enzymes within the liver.Furthermore,SGIV significantly reduced the contents of lipid droplets,triglycerides,cholesterol,and lipoproteins.Metabolomic analysis indicated that the altered metabolites were enriched in 19 pathways,with a notable down-regulation of lipid metabolites such as glycerophosphates and alpha-linolenic acid(ALA),consistent with disturbed lipid homeostasis in the liver.Integration of transcriptomic and metabolomic data revealed that the top enriched pathways were related to cell growth and death and nucleotide,carbohydrate,amino acid,and lipid metabolism,supporting the conclusion that SGIV infection induced liver metabolic reprogramming.Further integrative transcriptomic and proteomic analysis indicated that SGIV infection activated crucial molecular events in a phagosome-immune depression-metabolism dysregulation-necrosis signaling cascade.Of note,integrative multi-omics analysis demonstrated the consumption of ALA and linoleic acid(LA)metabolites,and the accumulation of L-glutamic acid(GA),accompanied by alterations in immune,inflammation,and cell death-related genes.Further experimental data showed that ALA,but not GA,suppressed SGIV replication by activating antioxidant and anti-inflammatory responses in the host.Collectively,these findings provide a comprehensive resource for understanding host response dynamics during fish iridovirus infection and highlight the antiviral potential of ALA in the prevention and treatment of iridoviral diseases.

BACKGROUND Myocardial infarction(MI)is a critical cardiovascular event with multifaceted etiology,involving several genetic and environmental factors.It is essential to understand the function of plasma metabolites in the development of MI and unravel its complex pathogenesis.METHODS This study employed a bidirectional Mendelian randomization(MR)approach to investigate the causal relationships between plasma metabolites and MI risk.We used genetic instruments as proxies for plasma metabolites and MI and conducted MR analyses in both directions to assess the impact of metabolites on MI risk and vice versa.In addition,the large-scale genome-wide association studies datasets was used to identify genetic variants associated with plasma metabolite(1400 metabolites)and MI(20,917 individuals with MI and 440,906 individuals without MI)susceptibility.Inverse variance weighted was the primary method for estimating causal effects.MR estimates are expressed as beta coefficients or odds ratio(OR)with 95%CI.RESULTS We identified 14 plasma metabolites associated with the occurrence of MI(Pchidonoyl-GPE(16:0/20:4)levels(OR=1.051,95%CI:1.018–1.084,P=0.002),behenoyl dihydrosphingomyelin(d18:0/22:0)levels(OR=1.076,95%CI:1.027–1.128,P=0.002),1-stearoyl-2-docosahexaenoyl-GPE(18:0/22:6)levels(OR=1.067,95%CI:1.027–1.109,P=0.001),alpha-ketobutyrate levels(OR=1.108,95%CI:1.041–1.180,P=0.001),5-acetylamino-6-formylam

To the Editor:Significant hyperfibrinolysis is always accompanied by surgical trauma and tourniquet use in total knee arthroplasty(TKA),leading to considerable hidden blood loss,inflammation,and pain,thereby impeding the recovery process.Enhanced recovery after surgery(ERAS)has promoted the development of patient blood management in recent decades.And numerous methods of blood conservation,including tranexamic acid(TXA),a lysine analog competitive inhibitor of plasmin and plasminogen,have been studied.^([1–3])However,some issues remain controversial,such as the optimal TXA regimen in TKA.On the other hand,the use of TXA in arthroplasty is considered off-label,although the current guideline or consensus suggests its routine use in arthroplasty.

Bisphenol F epoxy resin(EP)is often used in terminal current lead insulation of superconducting equipment because of its good insulation performance,high mechanical strength,good toughness at cryogenic temperatures,and resistance to cold shock and heat shock.However,due to the wide temperature range of 80–300 K and the strong electric field,the EP-N_(2)interface is prone to surface flashover,resulting in terminal insulation failure.To improve the reliability of the current lead insulation,non-linear conductive EP/strontium titanate(SrTiO_(3))composites were prepared by modification with nano filling.The changes of dielectric,surface discharge,flashover,and trap distribution characteristics of composite materials were studied,and the mechanism of SrTiO_(3)on the surface flashover of composite materials was analysed.The results show that the conductivity of the composite increases with the rise of SrTiO_(3)filling content,and the amplitude of improvement is greater under the strong electric field,showing a more significant non-linearity.The composite has a lower trap energy level and a greater number of shallow traps compared to pure EP,which accelerates surface charge detrapping and reduces charge accumulation,effectively enhancing the discharge and surface flashover voltage of the composite.

Garnet and Zircon U-Pb Geochronology and Geochemistry Reveal Genesis of the Dafang Au-Pb-Zn-Ag Deposit,Southern Hunan

Garnet is a primary mineral in skarn deposits and plays a significant role in recording copious mineralization and metallogenic information.This study systematically investigates the geochemistry and geochronology of garnet and zircon in the Dafang Au-Pb-Zn-Ag deposit,which represents prominent gold mineralization in southern Hunan,*** samples with distinct zoning patterns and compositional variations were identified using various analytical techniques,including Backscattered Electron(BSE)imaging,Cathodoluminescence(CL)response,textural characterization,and analysis of rare-earth elements(REE),major contents,and trace element compositions.The garnet was dated U-Pb dating,which yielded a lower intercept age of 161.06±1.93 Ma.This age is older than the underlying granodiorite porphyry,which has a concordia age of 155.13±0.95 Ma determined by zircon U-Pb dating.These results suggest that the gold mineralization may be related to the concealed granite.Two groups of garnet changed from depleted Al garnet to enriched Al garnet,and the rare earth element(REE)patterns of these groups were converted from light REE(LREE)-enriched and heavy REE(HREE)-depleted with positive europium(Eu)anomalies to medium REE(MREE)-enriched from core to rim zoning.The different REE patterns of garnet in various zones may be attributed to changes in the fluid environment and late superposition alteration.The development of distal skarn in the southern Hunan could be a significant indicator for identifying gold mineralization.

Accurate intelligent reasoning systems are vital for intelligent manufacturing.In this study,a new intelligent reasoning system was developed for milling processes to accurately predict tool wear and dynamically optimize machining parameters.The developed system consists of a self-learning algorithm with an improved particle swarm optimization(IPSO)learning algorithm,prediction model determined by an improved case-based reasoning(ICBR)method,and optimization model containing an improved adaptive neural fuzzy inference system(IANFIS)and IPSO.Experimental results showed that the IPSO algorithm exhibited the best global convergence performance.The ICBR method was observed to have a better performance in predicting tool wear than standard CBR methods.The IANFIS model,in combination with IPSO,enabled the optimization of multiple objectives,thus generating optimal milling parameters.This paper offers a practical approach to developing accurate intelligent reasoning systems for sustainable and intelligent manufacturing.
