This study explores the potential of Artificial Intelligence(AI)in early screening and prognosis of Dry Eye Disease(DED),aiming to enhance the accuracy of therapeutic approaches for eye-care *** the promising opportunities,challenges such as diverse diagnostic evidence,complex etiology,and interdisciplinary knowledge integration impede the interpretability,reliability,and applicability of AI-based DED detection *** research conducts a comprehensive review of datasets,diagnostic evidence,and standards,as well as advanced algorithms in AI-based DED detection over the past five *** DED diagnostic methods are categorized into three groups based on their relationship with AI techniques:(1)those with ground truth and/or comparable standards,(2)potential AI-based methods with significant advantages,and(3)supplementary methods for AI-based DED *** study proposes suggested DED detection standards,the combination of multiple diagnostic evidence,and future research directions to guide further ***,the research contributes to the advancement of ophthalmic disease detection by providing insights into knowledge foundations,advanced methods,challenges,and potential future perspectives,emphasizing the significant role of AI in both academic and practical aspects of ophthalmology.

Axonal regeneration following surgical nerve repair is slow and often incomplete,resulting in poor functional recovery which sometimes contributes to lifelong ***,there are no FDA-approved therapies available to promote nerve *** accelerates axonal regeneration,but systemic side effects presently outweigh its potential benefits for peripheral nerve *** authors describe herein a biodegradable polyurethane-based drug delivery system for the sustained local release of tacrolimus at the nerve repair site,with suitable properties for scalable production and clinical application,aiming to promote nerve regeneration and functional recovery with minimal systemic drug *** is encapsulated into co-axially electrospun polycarbonate-urethane nanofibers to generate an implantable nerve wrap that releases therapeutic doses of bioactive tacrolimus over 31 *** and drug loading are adjustable for applications in small and large caliber nerves,and the wrap degrades within 120 days into biocompatible *** released from the nerve wrap promotes axon elongation in vitro and accelerates nerve regeneration and functional recovery in preclinical nerve repair models while off-target systemic drug exposure is reduced by 80%compared with systemic *** its surgical suitability and preclinical efficacy and safety,this system may provide a readily translatable approach to support axonal regeneration and recovery in patients undergoing nerve surgery.

为了研究海藻硫酸多糖对铜绿假单胞菌(Pseudomonas aeruginosa,PA)感染的凡纳滨对虾(Litopenaeus vannamei)抗氧化防御系统的影响,试验先采用磷钼络合物法测定5种海藻硫酸多糖(PE-Ⅰ、PE-Ⅱ、LJP-Ⅰ、LJP-Ⅱ、LJP-Ⅲ)总抗氧化活性[以二丁基羟基甲苯(BHT)为阳性对照],采用滤纸片法测定5种海藻硫酸多糖的抑菌圈直径,同时测定PA对凡纳滨对虾的半数致死浓度(LC_(50))。将健康的对虾随机分为3组,分别为模型组、试验组及对照组,每组20尾,对照组与模型组饲喂基础日粮,试验组饲喂添加抑菌效果最好的海藻硫酸多糖的基础日粮,饲喂14 d后模型组和试验组腹腔注射PA菌悬液(浓度为攻毒48 h后的LC_(50))30μL,对照组不做任何处理。攻毒后第24小时、48小时、7天、14天统计死亡率,收集攻毒48 h后各组对虾肠道内容物,计数PA的菌落总数。利用试剂盒测定血淋巴中血浆总蛋白(TP)质量浓度、酚氧化酶(PO)活性,肝胰腺组织中总超氧化物歧化酶(SOD)、过氧化氢酶(CAT)和谷胱甘肽过氧化物酶(GSH-Px)等抗氧化防御酶活性及丙二醛(MDA)含量;采集对虾肝胰腺组织用苏木精-伊红(H.E.)染色试剂盒染色进行组织病理学观察。结果表明:6种物质的总抗氧化活性大小为LJP-Ⅱ>LJP-Ⅰ>LJP-Ⅲ>BHT>PE-Ⅰ>PE-Ⅱ,其中LJP-Ⅱ、LJP-Ⅰ、LJP-Ⅲ总抗氧化活性显著高于BHT(P<0.05);海藻硫酸多糖LJP-Ⅱ在浓度150 mg/mL时对PA的抑菌圈直径最大,达到(15.05±0.04)mm,因此选取LJP-Ⅱ作为日粮添加物,研究其对PA感染的凡纳滨对虾抗氧化防御系统的影响。当攻毒剂量为30μL时,PA对凡纳滨对虾48 h的LC_(50)为7.96×10~(6)cfu/mL。与模型组相比,攻毒后第14天试验组的死亡率显著下降(P<0.05);血淋巴中TP质量浓度、PO活性,肝胰腺组织中SOD、CAT、GSH-Px活性均显著升高(P<0.05),MDA含量显著下降(P<0.05)。饲喂添加海藻硫酸多糖LJP-Ⅱ日粮可明显改善PA感染对虾肝胰腺组织、管腔和小管损伤程度,形态结构趋于正常。说明海藻硫酸多糖LJP-Ⅱ可显著提升抗氧化防御系统生化指标水平,减轻PA对肝胰腺组织的损伤。

A Registry-Based Observational Study on the Maternal and Fetal Outcomes of COVID-19 Patients in Hong Kong

Objective: To report the clinical maternal and fetal outcomes of pregnant women with coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19), along with any associated pregnancy complications, in Hong Kong, China, and to assess the impact of COVID-19 vaccination on these ***: This prospective registry-based observational study included pregnant women who were recruited through convenient sampling and had a laboratory-confirmed severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 infection with a cycle threshold (Ct) value result available on admission to eight local hospitals in Hong Kong, China. Data on clinical symptoms, laboratory results, medical treatments, delivery timing and mode, and pregnancy complications were extracted from the Hospital Authority’s electronic medical record system. Maternal, fetal, and pregnancy outcomes were compared between unvaccinated pregnant women with COVID-19 and those who had received at least one dose of COVID-19 vaccine before diagnosis. Nonparametric continuous variables and categorical variables were analyzed using the Mann-WhitneyU test and the Pearson’s chi-squared test respectively. AP value less than 0.05 was considered statistically ***: A total of 164 pregnant women were included, of whom 78 (47.56%) were nulliparous. COVID-19 was diagnosed before 28 weeks’ gestation in 30 (18.29%), while 134 (81.71 %) were diagnosed at or after 28 weeks’ gestation. Sixty-two (37.80%) women received at least one dose of COVID-19 vaccine. There were no significant differences between vaccinated and unvaccinated groups in the time interval between COVID-19 diagnosis and delivery, the Ct value, and the gestational age at infection onset or delivery (P > 0.05). The majority of women were symptomatic at diagnosis regardless of vaccination status (55 (88.71%) in vaccinated groupvs. 78 (76.47%) in unvaccinated group (P = 0.052). 目的分析监测中性粒细胞/淋巴细胞比值(NLR)、血小板/淋巴细胞比值(PLR)、白蛋白(ALB)、C反应蛋白(CRP)/ALB比值(CAR)、血钙及血糖指标水平对急性胰腺炎(AP)患者急性肾损伤(AKI)的预测价值。方法纳入佳木斯大学宏大医院2020年10月~2023年10月收治的120例AP患者,按照其AKI发生情况,将患者分别纳入AKI组、非AKI组。比较2组患者入院时NLR、PLR、ALB、CRP、血钙、血糖指标,运用Logistic多因素回归分析和受试者工作特征曲线(ROC),计算上述指标预测AP患者发生AKI的价值。结果120例AP患者中,31例发生AKI,AKI发生率为25.84%。Logistic多因素回归分析示,中重度AP、NLR≥6、PLR≥150、ALB<35 g/L、CAR≥1.5、血钙<2.0 mmol/L、血糖≥9.0 mmol/L均为影响AP患者发生AKI的独立危险因素(P<0.05)。AP病情严重度联合NLR、PLR、ALB、CAR、血钙、血糖预测AP患者发生AKI的AUC为0.822,灵敏度83.87%、特异性84.27%(P<0.05)。结论AP患者AKI发生率较高且AKI的发生与患者病情、炎症状态、营养状态、血钙及血糖水平均存在密切关联,联合监测上述因素能够为AKI的预测提供可靠参考。

Cytidine 5'-monophosphate(5'-CMP)is an essential nucleotide for *** this study,enhanced production of 5'-CMP was realized by the transformation of cytidine using co-immobilized di-enzymes,uridine-cytidine kinase(UCK)and acetate kinase(AcK).The immobilization yield of the enzyme had a clear correlation with the surface charges as zeta potential(ξ).Among them,ε-polylysinefunctionalized sepharose(SA-EPL,ξ=9.31 m V)showed high immobilization yield(78.8%),which was4.9-fold than that of nitrilotriacetic acid functionalized sepharose(SA-NTA,ξ=-12.6 m V).The residual activity of affinity co-immobilized enzyme(EPL-Ni/EPL@Ac K-UCK)was higher than 70.6%after recycled 10 ***,this study provides an effective approach for the production of 5'-CMP with the advantages of low adenosine 5'-triphosphate(ATP)consumption,reduced side reactions,and improved reusability by co-immobilized UCK and Ac K on the functionalized Sepharose.

荧光假单胞菌(Pseudomonas fluorescens)广泛存在于牛肉、鱼类、家禽和乳制品等生鲜产品中,成为引发食源性疾病的重要原因。以荧光假单胞菌ATCC 13525作为供试菌株,研究异硫氰酸苄酯(benzyl isothiocyanate,BITC)对菌株的抑制作用及其应用于牛肉的保鲜效果。结果表明:通过牛津杯实验法,得到BITC对荧光假单胞菌的最小抑菌浓度(minimum inhibitory concentration,MIC)为0.25 mmol/L;表型实验表明BITC能够破坏细菌细胞膜的通透性并降低代谢活力;此外,相比于对照组,MIC处理组牛肉贮藏7 d内菌落总数、色差值、pH值、总挥发性盐基氮含量及氮氧化合物含量分别降低35.73%、21.52%、4.53%、54.39%和4.78%,而感官评分提高10.45%,说明BITC可以显著抑制荧光假单胞菌的生长,改善牛肉的感官品质及理化指标。因此,BITC在冷鲜牛肉贮藏保鲜方面具有较好的应用前景。
