Product selectivity control is attractive in Fischer-Tropsch(F-T)synthesis but it is still a challenge,because the F-T products follow the Anderson-Schulz-Flory(ASF)distribution with maximized gasoline-ranged(C_(5)-C_(11))hydrocarbon selectivity at 45%.Herein,we report a strategy by optimizing the gasoline selectivity to outperform the ASF *** key to this success is fixation of the metal nanoparticles within zeolite crystals(metal@zeolite),where the zeolite micropore adjusts the product *** example,the Ru@NaY exhibited the gasoline selectivity 64.3% in the F-T reaction,which is significantly higher than the ASF limitation and about 2 times of that(32.8%)over conventionally supported Ru catalyst(Ru/NaY).This investigation might offer an alternative route for the direct transformation of syngas to liquid fuels with controllable selectivities.

A Wavelet-Based Method to Predict Muscle Forces From Surface Electromyography Signals in Weightlifting

The purpose of this study was to develop a wavelet-based method to predict muscle forces from surface electromyography （EMG） signals in vivo. The weightlifting motor task was implemented as the case study. EMG signals of biceps brachii, triceps brachii and deltoid muscles were recorded when the subject carried out a standard weightlifting motor task. The wavelet-based algorithm was used to process raw EMG signals and extract features which could be input to the Hill-type muscle force models to predict muscle forces. At the same time, the musculoskeletal model of subject＇s weightlifting motor task was built and simulated using the Computed Muscle Control （CMC） method via a motion capture experiment. The results of CMC were compared with the muscle force predictions by the proposed method. The correlation coefficient between two results was 0.99 （p〈0.01）. However, the proposed method was easier and more efficiency than the CMC method. It has potential to be used clinically to predict muscle forces in vivo.

Sol-gel derived bioactive hydroxyapatite/titania composite films on Ti6Al4V

The composite films consisting of the titania gel impregnated with hydroxyapatite （HAP） submicron particles were prepared on commercial Ti6A14V plates processed by a sol-gel route. HAP powders were synthesized based on wet chemical precipitation method with Ca（NO3）2.4H2O and （NH4）2HPO4 as starting reagents. After being calcined at 900℃, HAP powders were ultrasonically scattered in ethanol to produce HAP sol. The titania sol was prepared using titanium （IV） isopropoxide {Ti[OCH（CH3）2]4} as precursor. Both the titania sol and the HAP/titania mixture were sequentially spin-coated on the substrates and calcined at various temperatures. The characteristics and mechanical adhesion of the composite films were investigated. The results show that the as-prepared films are dense, homogeneous, well-crystallized, and there is a good interfacial adhesion between the film and the substrate. The in vitro bioactivities of these films were discussed based on the analysis of the variations of Ca and P concentrations in the simulated body fluid and their surface morphologies against immersion time.

S-N curve and fatigue parameters of 48MnV are obtained using small sample tests and staircase or up and down method, which paves the way for predicting fatigue life of crankshaft made of 48MnV. The fatigue life of the crankshaft of a six-cylinder engine is calculated using different damage models such as S-N method, normal strain approach, Smoth-Watson-Topper （SWT）Bannantine approach, shear strain approach, and Fatemi-Socie method based on dynamic simulation and finite element analysis （FEA） of crankshaft. The results indicate that the traditional calculation is conservative and the residual fatigue life of crankshaft is sufficient to maintain next life cycle if the crankshaft is remanufactured after its end of life.

Three-dimensional(3D)printed titanium and its alloys have broad application prospect in the field of biomedical implant materials,although the biological performance of the original surface should be *** from the development experience of conventional titanium implants,to construct a hierarchical hybrid topological surface is the future direction of *** the original 3D-printed(3D hereafter)Ti6Al4V surface inherently has micron-scale features,in the present study,we introduced submicron-scale pits on the original surface by acid etching to obtain a hierarchical micro/submicro-textured *** characteristic and biological performance of the 3D-printed and acid-etched(3DA hereafter)surface were evaluated in vitro and in vivo,compared with the conventional sandblasted,large-grit,acid-etched(SLA hereafter)*** results suggested the adhesion,proliferation and osteogenic differentiation of bone marrow derived mesenchymal stromal cells(BMSCs),as well as the in vivo osseointegration on 3DA surfaces were significantly ***,the overall osteogenic performance of the 3DA surface was not as good as the conventional SLA surface.

A compact High Temperature Superconductor(HTS)cable that can carry large current is crucial for developing high field superconducting accelerator ***,we are reporting a high current and low AC loss REBCO cable that adopts the Roebel structure,but it is implemented by in‐plane bending stacked REBCO tapes directly to realize the transposition,instead of by punching REBCO tapes to the desired *** cable maximizes the utilization of the original REBCO tapes,so that the material cost is significantly reduced comparing with the present“Roebel”REBCO ***,a prototype cable has been successfully *** critical current of each REBCO tape after cabling shows no degradation,and the cable’s measured critical current is 1939.8 A at 77 K and self‐field,which is very close to the predicted critical current by *** also show that the AC loss of the cable is lower compared with that of a simple REBCO stack with the same cross‐section and current‐carrying *** this paper,we first introduce the fabrication process of the *** follows is the measurement of the in‐plane bending performance of REBCO ***,we present the design and fabrication of the prototype cable together with current‐carrying performance ***,the AC loss calculation and analysis of the cable are reported.

Tribological Properties of Polyvinyl Mcohol Hydrogel Reinforced with Nanometer Hydroxy Apatite

As a potential artificial cartilage material, the friction and wear properties of nano-hydroxy apatite （HA） particles filled poly （vinyl alcohol） hydrogel （PVA-H） composites sliding against stainless steel disk under water lubrication condition were studied by using a four ball tester. The worn surfaces were investigated by using a scanning electron microscope （SEM） to determine the wear mechanisms. Experimental results show that filling HA to PVA-H will slightly increase the friction coefficient of composites with the increasing of HA content under water lubrication condition. Meanwhile, HA particles can greatly reduce the wear mass loss of the PVA-H composites and enhance the load carrying capacity, the wear loss of the 1 wt% HA reinforced PVA-H composites can be decreased by 30 percent under 2.0 MPa to 50 percent under 0.5 MPa contact pressure. We also found that 2 wt% HA content of composites increase the wear mass loss under the same condition. SEM examination shows that the worn surface of low HA containing （1 wt%） composites are much smoother than that of pure PVA-H or high HA containing （2 wt%） composites under 1.5 MPa contact pressure. It is also found that there are big hole and big reunited HA particles in the surface of 2 wt% HA containing composites, which leads to deterioration of the surface of samples under higher loads in water lubrication. These results may be useful in the tribological design of artificial articular cartilage material.
