A general communication performance evaluation model based on routing path decomposition

The network-on-chip (NoC) architecture is a main factor affecting the system performance of complicated multi-processor systems-on-chips (MPSoCs).To evaluate the effects of the NoC architectures on communication efficiency,several kinds of techniques have been developed,including various simulators and analytical *** simulators are accurate but time consuming,especially in large space explorations of diverse network configurations;in contrast,the analytical models are fast and flexible,providing alternative methods for performance *** this paper,we propose a general analytical model to esti-mate the communication performance for arbitrary NoCs with wormhole routing and virtual channel flow *** resolve the inherent dependency of successive links occupied by one packet in wormhole routing,we propose the routing path decomposition approach to generating a series of ordered link *** we use the traditional queuing system to derive the fine-grained transmission latency for each network *** to our experiments,the proposed analytical model provides a good approximation of the average packet latency to the simulation results,and estimates the network throughput precisely under various NoC configurations and ***,the analytical model runs about 10 5 times faster than the cycle-accurate NoC *** applications of the model including bottleneck detection and virtual channel allocation are also presented.

Search　Algorithm　for　Determining　the　Range　of　the　Possible　Collision　of　Conver　Polygons

Let P=(po, p1,..., pn-1 ) and Q=(qo,q1..., qm-1) be two arbitrary convex polygonsin plane. In this paper, the author studies the problems of how to quickly determine their possiblecollision range and movable range. In the paper, a new sufficient and necessary condition for decidingpossible collision is proposed,and the basic characters of the oblique supporting lines are investigated,and on these grounds the problem to determine the possible collision range is transformed into thatof searching the supporting points on the sets of convex polygon vertexs. Using the strategy ofsearching simultaneously the sets of vertexes of P and Q, the author constructs the fast algorithmfor finding the supporting points, the time-complexity of which is O(log2.m + n)). Based on theseresults, the algorithms to quickly determine the range are given, which possess the time-complexityof O(log2.m+n)).

Tensile Elastic Modulus, Strength and Fracture of δ-Al_2._(3f)/Al Alloy Composites

Based on the experimental and theoretical analysis, the tensile elastic modulus, strength and fracture characteristics of squeeze casting δ-Al2.3/Al alloy composites were studied. The fracture characteristics of composites were observed by SEM. The elastic modulus was predicted by the finite element method based on the energy equivalence principle, and the strength was predicted by the statistical integration average method using the maximum energy criterion of composite strength. In the prediction, the distribution density functions of the fiber's. orientation and length were considered. These functions were gained by experimental measurement. It is shown that the predicted results are in agreement with the experimental values well and the microstructure feature of composites controls the fracture characteristics.

This paper proposes a formal model of the automatic testing system for scheduling strategies in real-time UNIX and describes the algorithm of the key part of the system. The model of the system is an important technology of the automatization of software development. According to the model presented in the paper, many different kinds of automatic testing systems can be designed and developed easily. At the end of the paper, the prototype proves the feasibility of the model and design.

An efficient quantum secret sharing protocol with orthogonal product states in the 33 Hilbert space is presented. The particles in the orthogonal product states form two particle sequences. One sequence is sent to Bob and the other is sent to Charlie after rearranging the particle orders. With the help of Alice, Bob and Charlie make the corresponding local measurement to obtain the information of the or- thogonal product states prepared. This protocol has many distinct features such as great capacity and high efficiency.

Fast parallel algorithms for discrete Gabor expansion and transform based on multirate filtering

The Gabor transform has long been recognized as a very useful tool for the joint time and frequency analysis in signal *** real time applications,however,were limited due to the high computational complexity of the Gabor transform *** this paper,some novel and fast parallel algorithms for the finite discrete Gabor expansion and transform are presented based on multirate *** analysis filter bank is designed for the finite discrete Gabor transform(DGT)and a synthesis filter bank is designed for the finite discrete Gabor expansion(DGE).Each of the parallel channels in the two filter banks has a unified structure and can apply the FFT and the IFFT to reduce its computational *** computational complexity of each parallel channel does not change as the oversampling rate *** fact,it is very low and depends only on the length of the input discrete signal and the number of the Gabor frequency sampling *** computational complexity of the proposed parallel algorithms is analyzed and compared with that of the major existing parallel algorithms for the finite DGT and *** results indicate that the proposed parallel algorithms for the finite DGT and DGE based on multirate filtering are very attractive for real time signal processing.

Image universal steganalysis based on best wavelet packet decomposition

Based on the best wavelet packet decomposition of images, a new universal steganalysis method with high detection correct ratio is proposed. First, the best wavelet packet decomposition of image based on the Shannon entropy information cost function is made. Second, high order absolute characteristic function moments of histogram extracted from the coefficient subbands obtained by best wavelet packet decomposition are regarded as features. Finally, these features are processed and a back-propagation (BP) neural network is designed to classify original and stego images. Three different steganalysis algorithms for three different cases of background and application condition are presented. To validate the performance of the proposed method, a series of experiments are made for six kinds of typical steganography methods, i.e. LSB, LTSB, PMK, Jsteg, F5 and JPHide. Results show that, the average detection accuracy of the proposed method exceeds at least 6.4% and up to 15.4% and has a better universal performance than its closest competitors. Furthermore, the proposed method can provide reference for designing the pattern recognition and classification algorithm based on best wavelet packet decomposition.

Parallel Computing of Ocean General Circulation Model

This paper discusses the parallel computing of the third generation Ocean General Circulation Model (OGCM) from the State Key Laboratory of Numerical Modeling for Atmospheric science and Geophysical Fluid Dynamics(LASG),Institute of Atmosphere Physics(IAP). Meanwhile, several optimization strategies for parallel computing of OGCM (POGCM) on Scalable Shared Memory Multiprocessor (S2.P) are presented. Using Message Passing Interface (MPI), we obtain super linear speedup on SGI Origin 2.00 for parallel OGCM(POGCM) after optimization.

Many research indicate a lot of money and time are spent on maintaining and modifying program delivered. So the policies to support program comprehension are very important. Program comprehension is a crucial and difficult task. Insufficient design, illogical code structure, short documents will enhance the comprehensive difficulty. Developing Web application is usually a process with quick implementation and delivery. In addition, generally a Web application is coded by combining mark language statements with some embedded applets. Such programming mode affects comprehension of Web applications disadvantageously. This paper proposes a method to improving understanding Web by dependence analysis and slice technology. As an application-driven network,wireless sensor network generally requires data reliability to maintain detection and response *** two approaches,namely,retransmission and redundancy,have been proposed to enhance data reliability,the theoretical work is required to evaluate their impact on transmission reliability and energy *** this paper,we offer a comprehensive theoretical study on packet arrival probability and average energy consumption for both *** analysis and simulations indicate that when loss probabilities remain low or moderate,erasure coding,a typical redundancy-based scheme,is more energy efficient than *** also demonstrate that the resistance capability of erasure coding against packet loss weakens as the hop number increases,which motivates us to propose two improved mechanism based on the idea of the loss detection and the loss ***,the simulation results carried out using TOSSIM verify the performance of different mechanisms both in the chain topology and the tree topology.
