Economic analysis of rooftop photovoltaics system under different shadowing conditions for 20 cities in China

Installing photovoltaic(PV)systems is an essential step for low-carbon development.The economics of PV systems are strongly impacted by the electricity price and the shadowing effect from neighboring buildings.This study evaluates the PV generation potential and economics of 20 cities in China under three shadowing conditions.First,the building geometry models under three shadowing conditions for the 20 cities were constructed using QGIS.Then,60 building models with PV systems and shadows from surrounding buildings were generated by City Buildings,Energy,and Sustainability(CityBES),an open platform,to simulate the PV power generation.Finally,the study presented one economic analysis model to evaluate the profitability by combining the market cost of rooftop PV systems and electricity prices in China.The economic model included four indicators:payback period(static and dynamic),net present value(NPV),and internal rate of return(IRR).The results show that the reduction of PV power generation ranges from 8.29%to 16.01%under medium shadowing,and experiences a maximum decrease of up to 39.71%under high shadowing.Further economic analysis shows that almost all the regions show reliable potential,obtaining an IRR higher than the reference value(5%).Nenjiang has the highest economic profit,with the highest NPV(86,181.15 RMB)and IRR(30.14%)under no shadowing among 20 cities.It also should be mentioned that the alignment between electricity price distribution and the solar power generation curve will directly impact the economic potential of PV systems.

Premature ovarian insufficiency(POI)is a heterogeneous female disorder characterized by the loss of ovarian function before the age of 40.It represents a significant detriment to female fertility.However,the known POI-causative genes currently account for only a fraction of cases.To elucidate the genetic factors underlying POI,we conducted whole-exome sequencing on a family with three fertile POI patients and identified a deleterious missense variant in RNF111.In a subsequent replication study involving 1,030 POI patients,this variant was not only confirmed but also accompanied by the discovery of three additional predicted deleterious RNF111 variants.These variants collectively account for eight cases,representing 0.78%of the study cohort.A further study involving 500 patients with diminished ovarian reserve also identified two additional RNF111 variants.Notably,RNF111 encodes an E3 ubiquitin ligase with a regulatory role in the TGF-β/BMP signaling pathway.Our analysis revealed that RNF111/RNF111 is predominantly expressed in the oocytes of mice,monkeys,and humans.To further investigate the functional implications of RNF111 variants,we generated two mouse models:one with a heterozygous missense mutation(Rnf111+/M)and another with a heterozygous null mutation(Rnf111^(+/-)).Both mouse models exhibited impaired female fertility,characterized by reduced litter sizes and small ovarian reserve.Additionally,RNA-seq and quantitative proteomics analysis unveiled that Rnf111 haploinsufficiency led to dysregulation in female gonad development and negative regulation of the BMP signaling pathway within mouse ovaries.In conclusion,our findings strongly suggest that monoallelic deleterious variants in RNF111 can impair female fertility and induce POI in both humans and mice.

Effi cacy of partial and complete resuscitative endovascular balloon occlusion of the aorta in the hemorrhagic shock model of liver injury

BACKGROUND:Resuscitative endovascular balloon occlusion of the aorta(REBOA)can temporarily control traumatic bleeding.However,its prolonged use potentially leads to ischemia-reperfusion injury(IRI).Partial REBOA(pREBOA)can alleviate ischemic burden;however,its security and eff ectiveness prior to operative hemorrhage control remains unknown.Hence,we aimed to estimate the effi cacy of pREBOA in a swine model of liver injury using an experimental sliding-chamber ballistic gun.METHODS:Twenty Landrace pigs were randomized into control(no aortic occlusion)(n=5),intervention with complete REBOA(cREBOA)(n=5),continuous pREBOA(C-pREBOA)(n=5),and sequential pREBOA(S-pREBOA)(n=5)groups.In the cREBOA and C-pREBOA groups,the balloon was inflated for 60 min.The hemodynamic and laboratory values were compared at various observation time points.Tissue samples immediately after animal euthanasia from the myocardium,liver,kidneys,and duodenum were collected for histological assessment using hematoxylin and eosin staining.RESULTS:Compared with the control group,the survival rate of the REBOA groups was prominently improved(all P<0.05).The total volume of blood loss was markedly lower in the cREBOA group(493.14±127.31 mL)compared with other groups(P<0.01).The pH was significantly lower at 180 min in the cREBOA and S-pREBOA groups(P<0.05).At 120 min,the S-pREBOA group showed higher alanine aminotransferase(P<0.05)but lower blood urea nitrogen compared with the cREBOA group(P<0.05).CONCLUSION:In this trauma model with liver injury,a 60-minute pREBOA resulted in improved survival rate and was effective in maintaining reliable aortic pressure,despite persistent hemorrhage.Extended tolerance time for aortic occlusion in Zone I for non-compressible torso hemorrhage was feasible with both continuous partial and sequential partial measures,and the significant improvement in the severity of acidosis and distal organ injury was observed in the sequential pREBOA.

Influences of CeO_(2)morphology on enhanced performance of electro-Fenton for wastewater treatment

As a kind of rare-earth oxide,CeO_(2)has been considered as a great potential material for its abundant oxygen vacancies and catalysis activity in wastewater treatment.In this study,three ceria samples with different morphological structure were prepared,and their effect on contaminates degradation in electro-Fenton(E-Fenton)system was investigated.It is found that the morphology of CeO_(2)has great influence on promoting the performance of E-Fenton process.The rod-like CeO_(2)(R-CeO_(2))induced EFenton system shows higher azo dye X3 B removal and mineralization rates than cubs(C-CeO_(2))and octahedrons(O-CeO_(2)),and the degradation kinetic rate constants are 0.28,0.169 and 0.181 min^(-1)respectively,already surpass that of the blank one(0.120 min^(-1)).The H_(2)O_(2)generation capacity of R-CeO_(2)induced E-Fenton system is also superior to the others,and the corresponding Faraday current efficiency even increases to 166.2%at 2.5 min.Characterizations by scanning-transmission electron microscopy(STEM),X-ray diffraction(XRD),X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy(XPS),electron spin resonance(ESR),Raman spectroscopy were conducted to disclose the mystery behind this phenomenon.The results indicate that the difference of surface oxygen vacancy density in different shaped CeO_(2)acts as a magic driving force for the accelerated oxygen reduction,and then leads to the enhanced degradation efficiency of E-Fenton system.This work provides a new insight into the development and application of rare-earth elements based catalyst in E-Fenton technology.

Hydrogen sulfide reduces oxidative stress in Huntington's disease via Nrf2

The pathophysiology of Huntington's disease involves high levels of the neurotoxin quinolinic acid. Quinolinic acid accumulation results in oxidative stress, which leads to neurotoxicity. However, the molecular and cellular mechanisms by which quinolinic acid contributes to Huntington's disease pathology remain unknown. In this study, we established in vitro and in vivo models of Huntington's disease by administering quinolinic acid to the PC12 neuronal cell line and the striatum of mice, respectively. We observed a decrease in the levels of hydrogen sulfide in both PC12 cells and mouse serum, which was accompanied by down-regulation of cystathionine β-synthase, an enzyme responsible for hydrogen sulfide production. However, treatment with NaHS(a hydrogen sulfide donor) increased hydrogen sulfide levels in the neurons and in mouse serum, as well as cystathionine β-synthase expression in the neurons and the mouse striatum, while also improving oxidative imbalance and mitochondrial dysfunction in PC12 cells and the mouse striatum. These beneficial effects correlated with upregulation of nuclear factor erythroid 2-related factor 2 expression. Finally, treatment with the nuclear factor erythroid 2-related factor 2inhibitor ML385 reversed the beneficial impact of exogenous hydrogen sulfide on quinolinic acid-induced oxidative stress. Taken together, our findings show that hydrogen sulfide reduces oxidative stress in Huntington's disease by activating nuclear factor erythroid 2-related factor 2,suggesting that hydrogen sulfide is a novel neuroprotective drug candidate for treating patients with Huntington's disease.

遗传诊断中的一个关键挑战是评估与剪接相关的致病遗传突变.现有致病剪接突变预测工具大多基于传统的机器学习方法,主要依赖人工提取的剪接特征,从而限制预测性能的提升,尤其对于非经典剪接突变,性能较差.因此,文中提出基于BERT(Bidirectional Encoder Representations from Transformers)和CNN(Convolutional Neural Network)的致病剪接突变预测方法(BERT and CNN-Based Deleterious Splicing Mutation Prediction Method,BCsplice).BCsplice中BERT模块可全面提取序列的上下文信息,与提取局部特征的CNN结合后,可充分学习序列的语义信息,预测剪接突变致病性.非经典剪接突变的影响往往更依赖序列上下文的深层语义信息,通过CNN将BERT的多级别语义信息进行组合提取,可获得丰富的信息表示,有助于识别非经典剪接突变.对比实验表明BCsplice性能较优,尤其是在非经典剪接区表现出一定性能优势,有助于识别致病剪接突变和临床遗传诊断.

对金属带材进行横向磁通感应加热(TFIH)时,通常会存在加热温度分布不均匀以及加热温度偏离目标值两个问题。该文研究了加热器结构参数与电源参数对45号钢带材回火热处理温度的影响,并对两种参数分别进行优化,使带材在加热器出口处的平均温度达到目标值600℃,同时获得均匀的温度分布。采用Morris法对加热器结构参数进行全局灵敏度分析,选取显著影响相对不均匀度的参数并建立径向基函数(RBF)神经网络预测模型。使用多岛遗传算法(MIGA)对筛选的结构参数进行优化,初步获得均匀的温度分布。最后以降低温度分布的相对不均匀度和达到理想平均温度为目标,在优化后的加热器结构基础上使用响应面法(RSM)优化电源参数,实现多目标优化设计。仿真验证结果表明,45号钢带材在加热器出口处的平均温度为600.06℃、相对不均匀度为2.36%,满足45号钢回火热处理的要求。

碳普惠制是一种基于市场信号的激励机制,核心在于助推参与者作出符合公共利益的绿色低碳决策。由于本身具有公共属性,碳普惠制的减排目标实现离不开政府的有效引导,应深入分析实际场景下不同的碳普惠设计模式。基于管理和流转两个维度,可区分出四类碳普惠模式和场景,并据此从交易动机、激励机制和运行机制等方面考察现有的实践案例。进一步地,围绕不同碳普惠模式的得失,总结出政府主导型碳普惠模式的优化方案,包括构建组织管理体系,框定体系顶层架构,设计低碳减排场景,构建减排量资产化机制,搭建消纳交易市场等。最后,提出激励企业和公众践行绿色低碳行为的相关政策建议,助力实现“双碳”目标。

Psychoanalytic criticism is an important branch of literary criticism that applies theories of psychology to the study of literature. The present paper attempts to analyze Poe's detective story "The Murders in the Rue Morgue" from a psychoanalytic perspective. Poe's skillful characterization and employment of the double motif is intensively discussed. It also deserves noting that the story conveys sensitive messages and exerts influence on readers' psychology.

目的:探讨刺芒柄花素通过调控Toll样受体4(TLR4)/髓样分化因子88(MyD88)/核转录因子κB(NF-κB)信号通路对脂多糖(LPS)诱导的大鼠子宫内膜上皮细胞损伤的影响。方法:以LPS诱导大鼠子宫内膜上皮细胞损伤,采用CCK8法检测细胞活性;采用RT-qPCR法检测TLR4过表达效率;流式细胞术检测细胞凋亡;ELISA法检测肿瘤坏死因子-α(TNF-α)、白细胞介素-1β(IL-1β)和IL-6含量;Western Blot法检测TLR4/MyD88/NF-κB通路相关蛋白的表达。结果:与空白对照组比较,模型对照组细胞抑制率、细胞凋亡率、炎症因子TNF-α、IL-1β和IL-6的含量明显增加,p-P65/P65、p-IκBα/IκBα、MyD88和TLR4蛋白表达明显上调(P<0.05或P<0.01);与模型对照组相比,刺芒柄花素12μmol/L组细胞抑制率、细胞凋亡率、炎症因子TNF-α、IL-1β和IL-6的含量明显降低,p-P65/P65、p-IκBα/IκBα、MyD88和TLR4蛋白表达明显下调(P<0.05或P<0.01);TLR4过表达对刺芒柄花素作用的影响结果显示,与刺芒柄花素+Ov-NC组相比,刺芒柄花素+Ov-TLR4组细胞抑制率、细胞凋亡率、炎症因子TNF-α、IL-1β和IL-6含量明显增加,p-P65/P65、p-IκBα/IκBα、MyD88和TLR4蛋白表达明显上调(P<0.05或P<0.01)。结论:刺芒柄花素能够抑制TLR4的表达,从而抑制TLR4/MyD88/NF-κB信号通路的激活,以减轻LPS诱导的大鼠子宫内膜上皮细胞凋亡及炎症损伤。
