Resilience-oriented Transmission Expansion Planning with optimal Transmission Switching Under Typhoon Weather

This paper presents resilience-oriented transmission expansion planning(RTEP)with optimal transmission switching(oTS)model under typhoon *** proposed model carefully considers the uncertainty of component vulnerability by constructing a typhoon-related box uncertainty set where component failure rate varies within a range closely related with typhoon ***,a min-max-min model is developed to enhance transmission network resilience,where the upper level minimizes transmission lines investment,the middle level searches for the probability distribution of failure status leading to max worst-case expected load-shedding(WCEL)under typhoon,and the lower level optimizes WCEL by economic dispatch(ED)and oTS.A nested decomposition algorithm based on benders decomposition is developed to solve the *** studies of modified IEEE 30-bus and 261-bus system of a Chinese region illustrate that:a)the proposed RTEP method can enhance resilience of transmission network with less investment than widely used RTEP method based on attacker and defender(DAD)model,b)the influence of oTS on RTEP is closely related with contingency severity and system scale and c)the RTEP model can be efficiently solved even in a large-scale system.

oBJECTIVE: To explore the mechanism of Xianglian Huazhuo formula( 香连化浊方, XLHZ) blocking the development of chronic atrophic gastritis(CAG) to gastric cancer(GC) through bioinformatics analysis and in vitro. METHoDS: Pathological morphology of gastric mucosa of rats were observed. High-throughput sequencing was used to analyze the miRNA expression profile of gastric mucosa. The miRanda, miRDB and miRWalk databases were used to predict the differential target genes. Gene ontology(Go) and Kyoto Encyclopedia of Genes and Genomes(KEGG) enrichment analysis were performed for differential target genes. Real-time quantitative reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction(qRTPCR) was used to verify the differentially expressed miRNAs and target genes. Western blot, EdU, wound healing and flow cytometry were used to observe the effect of XLHZ on epithelial-mesenchymal transition(EMT) markers, proliferation, migration, apoptosis and cell cycle of CAG cells in vitro. RESULTS: A total of five differentially expressed miRNAs and four differential target genes were screened in this study. Go analysis showed that the target genes were enriched in regulation of neuron development, regulation of transcription factor activity and regulation of RNA polymerase. KEGG pathways database differences in gene enrichment of target genes in the Wnt signaling pathway, Phospholipase D signaling pathway and mitogen-activated protein kinase signaling pathway. qRTPCR confirmed that miRNAs and its target genes were consistent with the screening results. In vitro, our study revealed that XLHZ could increase the expression of Ecadherin, decrease the expression of transforming growth factor β1, vimentin and β-catenin, inhibite the proliferation and migration of CAG cells, cause cell cycle arrest at G0/G1 and G2/M phase, induce the apoptosis of CAG cells, and prevent the progression of CAG to GC. Waste polyolefin plastics, accounting for 50% of all plastic waste, represent a tremendously unexploited carbon source. Efficiently upcycling polyolefin waste into value-added carbon materials for waste water treatment avoiding using noble metals is challenging but economically and environmentally sustainable. In this work, MAX-Ti_(3)AlC_(2) supported fe selectively catalyzes polyolefin into few-layered graphene in 5 min under microwave treatment. Graphene and MAX supported fe(fe@MLC) can completely(99.9%)degrade chloramphenicol(CAP) within 60 min, retain robust after 10 cycles and work efficiently at a wide p H range(3.87–13.03), avoiding the usage of noble metal. Moreover, the electrochemical active surface area(ECSA) of fe@MLC is 2.7 times higher than that of commercial Pt/C. This work provides a cheap and efficient catalyst that promotes deconstruction of plastic wastes and indirectly degrades antibiotics thereby realizes the treatment of waste water with waste plastic.

This paper is based on a previously developed bio-inspired flapping Wing Aerial Vehicle(fWAV),Robofalcon,which can fly with a morphing-coupled flapping *** this paper,a simple flapping stroke control system based on Hall effect sensors is designed and applied,which is capable of assigning different up-and down-stroke speeds for the Robofalcon platform to achieve an adjustable downstroke *** aerodynamic and power characteristics of the morphing-coupled flapping pattern and the conventional flapping pattern with varying downstroke ratios are measured through a wind tunnel experiment,and the corresponding aerodynamic models are developed and analyzed by the nonlinear least squares *** relatively low power consumption of the slow-downstroke mode of this vehicle is verified through outdoor flight *** results of wind tunnel experiments and flight tests indicate that increased downstroke duration can improve aerodynamic and power performance for the Robofalcon platform.

Polymer flooding in fractured wells has been extensively applied in oilfields to enhance oil *** contrast to water,polymer solution exhibits non-Newtonian and nonlinear behavior such as effects of shear thinning and shear thickening,polymer convection,diffusion,adsorption retention,inaccessible pore volume and reduced effective ***,the flux density and fracture conductivity along the hydraulic fracture are generally non-uniform due to the effects of pressure distribution,formation damage,and proppant *** this paper,we present an oil-water two-phase flow model that captures these complex non-Newtonian and nonlinear behavior,and non-uniform fracture characteristics in fractured polymer *** hydraulic fracture is firstly divided into two parts:high-conductivity fracture near the wellbore and low-conductivity fracture in the far-wellbore section.A hybrid grid system,including perpendicular bisection(PEBI)and Cartesian grid,is applied to discrete the partial differential flow equations,and the local grid refinement method is applied in the near-wellbore region to accurately calculate the pressure distribution and shear rate of polymer *** combination of polymer behavior characterizations and numerical flow simulations are applied,resulting in the calculation for the distribution of water saturation,polymer concentration and reservoir *** with the polymer flooding well with uniform fracture conductivity,this non-uniform fracture conductivity model exhibits the larger pressure difference,and the shorter bilinear flow period due to the decrease of fracture flow ability in the far-wellbore *** field case of the fall-off test demonstrates that the proposed method characterizes fracture characteristics more accurately,and yields fracture half-lengths that better match engineering reality,enabling a quantitative segmented characterization of the near-wellbore section with high fracture conductivity and th

By combination of the transient Raman spectroscopic measurement and the density functional theoretical calculations,the structural evolution and stability of TATB under shock compression was *** to the improvement in synchronization control between two-stage light gas gun and the transient Raman spectra acquisition,as well as the sample preparation,the Raman peak of the N-o mode of TATB was firstly observed under shock pressure up to 13.6 GPa,noticeably higher than the upper limit of 8.5 GPa reported in available *** taking into account of the continuous shift of the main peak and other observed Raman peaks,we did not distinguish any structural transition or any new ***,both the present Raman spectra and the time-resolved radiation of TATB during shock loading showed that TATB exhibits higher chemical stability than previous *** reveal the detailed structural response and evolution of TATB under compression,the density functional theoretical calculations were conducted,and it was found that the pressure make N-o bond lengths shorter,nitro bond angles larger,and intermolecular and intra-molecular hydrogen bond interactions *** observed red shift of Raman peak was ascribed to the abnormal enhancement of H-bound effect on the scissor vibration mode of the nitro group.

Understanding the foraging behavior is essential for investigating seabird ecology and conservation,as well as monitoring the well-being of the marine *** seabirds adopt diverse foraging strategies to maximize energy gains and cope with the intensified challenges of parenting and *** tradeoff may stem from the heterogeneity of food resources and the constraints of central place ***,abundant marine productivity could alleviate the energy limitation for seabirds,resulting in a consistent foraging ***,we investigated the foraging strategy during the breeding season of a cryptic small-sized seabird,Swinhoe’s Storm-petrel(Hydrobates monorhis),in the Yellow Sea,a productive marginal sea of the Northwest *** GPS tracking,we evaluated habitat preference,quantified the foraging strategy,and tested if environmental conditions and individual traits influence foraging *** found that Swinhoe’s Storm-petrels preferred nearshore areas with shallow water and engaged in primarily short foraging *** southeastward and southwestward strategies emerged when combining trip metrics,including foraging direction,duration,and maximum *** bathymetry,proximity to the coastline,and sea surface temperature differed in two foraging *** strategies exhibited flexibility between individuals,potentially explained by wing morphology,in which longer-winged birds are more likely to embark on longer-distance foraging *** findings highlight the impact of environmental factors and individual traits on seabirds’foraging decisions in productive marginal sea *** study also provides valuable insights into the foraging ecology of this Asian endemic storm-petrel.
