Electron delocalization-enhanced sulfur reduction kinetics on an MXene-derived heterostructured electrocatalyst

Lithium-sulfur(Li-S)batteries mainly rely on the reversible electrochemical reaction of between lithium ions(Li^(+))and sulfur species to achieve energy storage and conversion,therefore,increasing the number of free Li^(+)and improving the Li^(+)diffusion kinetics will effectively enhance the cell ***,Mo-based MXene heterostructure(MoS_(2)@Mo_(2)C)was developed by partial vulcanization of Mo_(2)C MXene,in which the introduction of similar valence S into Mo-based MXene(Mo_(2)C)can create an electron delocalization *** theoretical simulations and electrochemical characterisation,it is demonstrated that the MoS_(2)@Mo_(2)C heterojunction can effectively promote ion desolvation,increase the amount of free Li^(+),and accelerate Li^(+)transport for more efficient polysulfide *** addition,the MoS_(2)@Mo_(2)C material is also capable of accelerating the oxidation and reduction of polysulfides through its sufficient defects and vacancies to further enhance the catalytic ***,the Li-S battery with the designed MoS_(2)@Mo_(2)C electrocatalyst performed for 500 cycles at 1 C and still maintained the ideal capacity(664.7 mAh·g^(−1)),and excellent rate performance(567.6 mAh·g^(−1)at 5 C).Under the extreme conditions of high loading,the cell maintained an excellent capacity of 775.6 mAh·g^(−1)after 100 *** also retained 838.4 mAh·g^(−1)for 70 cycles at a low temperature of 0℃,and demonstrated a low decay rate(0.063%).These results indicate that the delocalized electrons effectively accelerate the catalytic conversion of lithium polysulfide,which is more practical for enhancing the behaviour of Li-S batteries.

The electric submersible pump(ESP) is a crucial apparatus utilized for lifting in the oil extraction *** lifting capacity is enhanced by the multi-stage tandem structure, but variations in energy characteristics and internal flow across stages are also introduced. In this study, the inter-stage variability of energy characteristics in ESP hydraulic systems is investigated through entropy production(EP) analysis,which incorporates numerical simulations and experimental validation. The EP theory facilitates the quantification of energy loss in each computational subdomain at all ESP stages, establishing a correlation between microscopic flow structure and energy dissipation within the system. Furthermore, the underlying causes of inter-stage variability in ESP hydraulic systems are examined, and the advantages and disadvantages of applying the EP theory in this context are evaluated. Consistent energy characteristics within the ESP, aligned with the distribution of internal flow structure, are provided by the EP theory, as demonstrated by our results. The EP theory also enables the quantitative analysis of internal flow losses and complements existing performance analysis methods to map the internal flow structure to hydraulic losses. Nonetheless, an inconsistency between the energy characterization based on EP theory and the traditional efficiency index when reflecting inter-stage differences is identified. This inconsistency arises from the exclusive focus of the EP theory on flow losses within the flow field, disregarding the quantification of external energy input to the flow field. This study provides a reference for the optimization of EP theory in rotating machinery while deeply investigating the energy dissipation characteristics of multistage hydraulic system, which has certain theoretical and practical significance.

It is well established that Cretaceous magmatism in the South China Block(SCB)is related to the Paleo-Pacific ***,the starting time and the associated deep crust-mantle processes are still *** dike swarms carry important information on the deep earth(including mantle)geodynamics and geochemical *** the Jiangnan Orogen(South China).there is no information on whether the Mesozoic magmatic activities in this region are also directly related to the Pacific subduction or *** this study,we present detailed zircon U-Pb geochronological,wholerock element and Sr-Nd isotope data for Early Cretaceous Tuanshanbei dolerite dikes,and provide new constraints on the condition of the lithospheric mantle and mantle dynamics of the SCB during that ***-ICP-MS zircon U-Pb dating suggests that this dolerite erupted in the Early Cretaceous(~145 Ma).All samples have alkaline geochemical affinities with K_(2)O+Na_(2)O=3.11-4.04 wt%,K_(2)O/Na_(2)O=0.50-0.72,and Mg^(#)=*** are enriched in LILE but depleted in HFSE with higher initial^(87)Sr/^(86)Sr ratio(0.706896-0.714743)and lower ε_(Nd)(t)(-2.61 to-1.67).They have high Nb/U,Nb/La,La/Sm and Rb/Sr,and low La/Nb,La/Ta,Ce/Pb,Ba/Rb,Tb/Yb and Gd/Yb *** geochemical signatures suggest that the fractional crystallization is obvious but crustal contamination play a negligible role during magmatic *** dolerite were most likely derived from low-degree(2%-5%)partial melting of a phlogopite-bearing mantle material consisted of~85% spinel peridotite and~15% garnet peridotite previously metasomatized by asthenospherederived fluids/melts with minor subduction-derived fluids/***-rollback generally lead to the upwelling of the hot *** upwelling of asthenosphere consuming the lithospheric mantle by thermo-mechanical-chemical *** lithospheric mantle may have partially melted due to the heating by the upwelling asthenosphere and lithospheric extension.I

Microstructure and property of laser additive manufactured alloy Ti-6Al-2V-1.5Mo-0.5Zr-0.3Si after aged at different temperatures

The solid solution and aging treatment for conventional manufacturing processes might not be suitable for laser additive manufactured titanium alloys due to the different lamellar *** this study,the influence of aging temperatures(600,700 and 800°C)on microstructure and mechanical properties of titanium alloy Ti-6Al-2V-1.5Mo-0.5Zr-0.3Si was *** results indicate that after solid solution treatment at 970°C followed by water quenching,the alloy mainly consists of coarsening lamellar a phase in martensite α' *** at 600°C will not change the size of primary lamellar α phase but lead to huge amount of secondary a phases(α_(s))generating with very fine *** increasing the aging temperature,the number of α_(s) decreases but with coarsened *** aged at 800°C,the width of the asphase reaches 350 nm,almost 7 times wider than that aged at 600°*** changing size of α_(s) obviously influences the property of the *** fine α_(s) leads to high strength and microhardness but low plasticity,and specimen aged at 700°C with suitable assize has the best comprehensive properties.

Hydrocarbon gas huff-n-puff optimization of multiple horizontal wells with complex fracture networks in the M unconventional reservoir

The oil production of the multi-fractured horizontal wells(MFHWs) declines quickly in unconventional oil reservoirs due to the fast depletion of natural energy. Gas injection has been acknowledged as an effective method to improve oil recovery factor from unconventional oil reservoirs. Hydrocarbon gas huff-n-puff becomes preferable when the CO_(2) source is limited. However, the impact of complex fracture networks and well interference on the EOR performance of multiple MFHWs is still unclear. The optimal gas huff-n-puff parameters are significant for enhancing oil recovery. This work aims to optimize the hydrocarbon gas injection and production parameters for multiple MFHWs with complex fracture networks in unconventional oil reservoirs. Firstly, the numerical model based on unstructured grids is developed to characterize the complex fracture networks and capture the dynamic fracture ***, the PVT phase behavior simulation was carried out to provide the fluid model for numerical simulation. Thirdly, the optimal parameters for hydrocarbon gas huff-n-puff were obtained. Finally, the dominant factors of hydrocarbon gas huff-n-puff under complex fracture networks are obtained by fuzzy mathematical method. Results reveal that the current pressure of hydrocarbon gas injection can achieve miscible displacement. The optimal injection and production parameters are obtained by single-factor analysis to analyze the effect of individual parameter. Gas injection time is the dominant factor of hydrocarbon gas huff-n-puff in unconventional oil reservoirs with complex fracture networks. This work can offer engineers guidance for hydrocarbon gas huff-n-puff of multiple MFHWs considering the complex fracture networks.

Manipulating Crystal Growth and Secondary Phase PbI_(2)to Enable Efficient and Stable Perovskite Solar Cells with Natural Additives

In perovskite solar cells(PSCs),the inherent defects of perovskite film and the random distribution of excess lead iodide(PbI_(2))prevent the improvement of efficiency and ***,natural cellulose is used as the raw material to design a series of cellulose derivatives for perovskite crystallization *** cationic cellulose derivative C-Im-CN with cyano-imidazolium(Im-CN)cation and chloride anion prominently promotes the crystallization process,grain growth,and directional orientation of ***,excess PbI_(2)is transferred to the surface of perovskite grains or formed plate-like crystallites in local *** effects result in suppressing defect formation,decreasing grain boundaries,enhancing carrier extraction,inhibiting non-radiative recombination,and dramatically prolonging carrier ***,the PSCs exhibit a high power conversion efficiency of 24.71%.Moreover,C-Im-CN has multiple interaction sites and polymer skeleton,so the unencapsulated PSCs maintain above 91.3%of their initial efficiencies after 3000 h of continuous operation in a conventional air atmosphere and have good stability under high humidity *** utilization of biopolymers with excellent structure-designability to manage the perovskite opens a state-of-the-art avenue for manufacturing and improving PSCs.

V-MOF-derived V_(2)O_(5) nanoparticles-modified carbon fiber cloth-based dendrite-free anode for high-performance lithium metal batteries

At present,commercial Li-ion batteries are hardly to satisfy the growing demand for high energy density,for this purpose,lithium metal batteries have attracted worldwide attention in recent ***,its practical applications are hindered by the formation of Li dendrites and volume effect during Li plating/stripping process,which leads to a lot of safety ***,we first employed MOF-derived V_(2)O_(5) nanoparticles to decorate the carbon fiber cloth(CFC)backbone to acquire a lithiophilic 3D porous conductive framework(CFC@V_(2)O_(5)).Subsequently,the CFC@V_(2)O_(5) skeleton was permeated with molten Li to prepare CFC@V_(2)O_(5)@Li composite *** CFC@V_(2)O_(5)@Li composite anode can be stably cycled for more than 1650 h at high current density(5 mA·cm^(-2))and areal capacity(5 mA·h·cm^(–2)).The prepared full cell can initially maintain a high capacity of about 143 mA·h·g^(-1) even at a high current density of 5 C,and can still maintain 114 mA·h·g^(-1) after 1000 cycles.

The characteristics of driver lane-changing behaviour in congested road environments

Lane-changing behaviour is one of the complex|driving *** lane-changing behaviour of drivers may exacerbate congestion,however driver behavioural characteristics are difficult to accurately acquire and quantify,and thus tend to be simplified or ignored in existing lane-changing *** this paper,the Bik-means clustering algorithm is used to analyse the urban road congestion state discrimination ***,simulated driving tests were conducted for different traffic congestion *** the force feedback system and infrared camera,the data of driver lane-changing behaviours at different traffic congestion levels are obtained separately,and the definitions of the start and end points of a vehicle changing lanes are ***,statistical analysis and discussion of key feature parameters including driver lane-changing behaviour data and visual data under different levels of traffic congestion were *** is found that the average lane-change intention times in each congestion state are 2 s,4 s,6 s and 7 s,while the turn-signal duration and the number of rear-view mirror observations have similar patterns of change to the data on lane-changing intention ***,drivers’pupil diameters become smaller during the lane-changing intention phase,and then relatively enlarge during lane-changing;the range of pupil variation is roughly 3.5 mm to 4 *** frequency of observing the vehicle in front of the target lane increased as the level of congestion increased,and the frequency of observation in the driver’s mirrors while changing lanes approximately doubled compared to driving straight ahead,and this ratio increased as the level of congestion increased.

Planning of DC Electric Spring with Particle Swarm Optimization and Elitist Non-dominated Sorting Genetic Algorithm

This paper addresses the planning problem of parallel DC electric springs (DCESs). DCES, a demand-side management method, realizes automatic matching of power consumption and power generation by adjusting non-critical load (NCL) and internal storage. It can offer higher power quality to critical load (CL), reduce power imbalance and relieve pressure on energy storage systems (RESs). In this paper, a planning method for parallel DCESs is proposed to maximize stability gain, economic benefits, and penetration of RESs. The planning model is a master optimization with sub-optimization to highlight the priority of objectives. Master optimization is used to improve stability of the network, and sub-optimization aims to improve economic benefit and allowable penetration of RESs. This issue is a multivariable nonlinear mixed integer problem, requiring huge calculations by using common solvers. Therefore, particle Swarm optimization (PSO) and Elitist non-dominated sorting genetic algorithm (NSGA-II) were used to solve this model. Considering uncertainty of RESs, this paper verifies effectiveness of the proposed planning method on IEEE 33-bus system based on deterministic scenarios obtained by scenario analysis.

Enhancing adhesive bond strength of CFRP/titanium joints through NaOH anodising and resin pre-coating treatments with optimised anodising conditions

Adhesively Bonded Carbon Fibre Reinforced Plastic(CFRP)and titanium alloy have been extensively used as a hybrid structure in modern aircrafts due to their excellent combination of mechanical properties and chemical *** study utilised NaOH anodising method to create micro-rough titanium surfaces for enhancing adhesive bonding between titanium alloy and CFRP laminates.A special and simple technique named Resin Pre-Coating(RPC)was also employed to improve the surface wetting of anodised titanium and grinded CFRP *** influences of anodising temperature and duration on the surface morphology,wettability and adhesive bond strength were *** single lap shear test results showed that the bond strength of specimens anodised at 20℃for 15 min improved by 135.9%and 95.4%,respectively,in comparison with that of acid pickled and grinded specimens(without RPC treatment).Although increasing the anodising temperature and duration produced rougher titanium surfaces,the adhesively bonded joints were not strong enough due to relatively friable titanium oxide layers.
