Since 2015,stroke has become the leading cause of death and disability in China,posing a significant threat to the health of its citizens as a major chronic non-communicable disease.According to the China Stroke High-risk Population Screening and Intervention Program,an estimated 17.8 million[95%confidence interval(CI)17.6–18.0million]adults in China had experienced a stroke in 2020,with 3.4 million(95%CI 3.3–3.5 million)experiencing their first-ever stroke and another 2.3 million(95%CI 2.2–2.4 million)dying as a result.Additionally,approximately 12.5%(95%CI 12.4%–12.5%)of stroke survivors were left disabled,as defined by a modified Rankin Scale score greater than 1,equating to 2.2 million(95%CI 2.1–2.2 million)stroke-related disabilities in 2020.As the population ages and the prevalence of risk factors like diabetes,hypertension,and hyperlipidemia continues to rise and remains poorly controlled,the burden of stroke in China is also increasing.A large national epidemiological survey initiated by the China Hypertension League in 2017 showed that the prevalence of hypertension was 24.7%;the awareness,treatment,and control rates in hypertensive patients were:60.1%,42.5%,and 25.4%,respectively.A nationally representative sample of the Chinese mainland population showed that the weighted prevalence of total diabetes diagnosed by the American Diabetes Association criteria was 12.8%,suggesting there are 120 million adults with diabetes in China,and the awareness,treatment,and control rates in diabetic patients were:43.3%,49.0%,and 49.4%,respectively.The“Sixth National Health Service Statistical Survey Report in 2018”showed that the proportion of the obese population in China was 37.4%,an increase of 7.2 points from 2013.Data from 1599 hospitals in the Hospital Quality Monitoring System and Bigdata Observatory Platform for Stroke of China(BOSC)showed that a total of 3,418,432 stroke cases[mean age±standard error(SE)was(65.700±0.006)years,and 59.1%were male]were admitted during 2020.Of those,over 80.0%(81.9%)were ischemic

Black hole evaporation and its remnants with the generalized uncertainty principle including a linear term

In recent years,researchers have investigated the evaporation of Schwarzschild black holes using various forms of the generalized uncertainty principle(GUP),metric quantum correction,and noncommutative geometry,respectively.However,there are differences between the GUP correction and the other two methods in terms of describing the later stages of black hole evaporation.Furthermore,some studies argue that the GUP with a negative parameter cannot effectively correct black hole evaporation,while others contend that the positivity or negativity of the GUP parameters should not affect the correction results.Taking the above into consideration,we reconsider black hole evaporation with the generalized uncertainty principle including a linear term(LGUP),and examine the case of negative parameters.The results indicate that the evaporation behavior of both Schwarzschild black holes and Reissner–Nordstr?m black holes,under LGUP correction,is consistent with the results of metric quantum correction and non-commutative geometry.Additionally,the negative parameter LGUP can also effectively correct for black hole evaporation.

Design Strategies for Aqueous Zinc Metal Batteries with High Zinc Utilization: From Metal Anodes to Anode-Free Structures

Aqueous zinc metal batteries(AZMBs)are promising candidates for next-generation energy storage due to the excellent safety, environmental friendliness, natural abundance, high theoretical specific capacity, and low redox potential of zinc(Zn) metal. However,several issues such as dendrite formation, hydrogen evolution, corrosion, and passivation of Zn metal anodes cause irreversible loss of the active materials. To solve these issues, researchers often use large amounts of excess Zn to ensure a continuous supply of active materials for Zn anodes. This leads to the ultralow utilization of Zn anodes and squanders the high energy density of AZMBs. Herein, the design strategies for AZMBs with high Zn utilization are discussed in depth, from utilizing thinner Zn foils to constructing anode-free structures with theoretical Zn utilization of 100%, which provides comprehensive guidelines for further research. Representative methods for calculating the depth of discharge of Zn anodes with different structures are first summarized. The reasonable modification strategies of Zn foil anodes, current collectors with pre-deposited Zn, and anode-free aqueous Zn metal batteries(AF-AZMBs) to improve Zn utilization are then detailed. In particular, the working mechanism of AF-AZMBs is systematically introduced. Finally, the challenges and perspectives for constructing high-utilization Zn anodes are presented.

Phase behavior of gas condensate in porous media using real-time computed tomography scanning

The phase behavior of gas condensate in reservoir formations differs from that in pressure-volume-temperature(PVT)cells because it is influenced by porous media in the reservoir formations.Sandstone was used as a sample to investigate the influence of porous media on the phase behavior of the gas condensate.The pore structure was first analyzed using computed tomography(CT)scanning,digital core technology,and a pore network model.The sandstone core sample was then saturated with gas condensate for the pressure depletion experiment.After each pressure-depletion state was stable,realtime CT scanning was performed on the sample.The scanning results of the sample were reconstructed into three-dimensional grayscale images,and the gas condensate and condensate liquid were segmented based on gray value discrepancy to dynamically characterize the phase behavior of the gas condensate in porous media.Pore network models of the condensate liquid ganglia under different pressures were built to calculate the characteristic parameters,including the average radius,coordination number,and tortuosity,and to analyze the changing mechanism caused by the phase behavior change of the gas condensate.Four types of condensate liquid(clustered,branched,membranous,and droplet ganglia)were then classified by shape factor and Euler number to investigate their morphological changes dynamically and elaborately.The results show that the dew point pressure of the gas condensate in porous media is 12.7 MPa,which is 0.7 MPa higher than 12.0 MPa in PVT cells.The average radius,volume,and coordination number of the condensate liquid ganglia increased when the system pressure was between the dew point pressure(12.7 MPa)and the pressure for the maximum liquid dropout,Pmax(10.0 MPa),and decreased when it was below Pmax.The volume proportion of clustered ganglia was the highest,followed by branched,membranous,and droplet ganglia.This study provides crucial experimental evidence for the phase behavior changing process of gas condensate in porous media d

Transition metals for stabilizing lithium metal anode:advances and perspectives

As the capacity of lithium-ion batteries gradually reaches its limit,the high-capacity characteristics of lithium metal batteries(LMBs)make them one of the most promising electrochemical energy storage devices currently.However,uncontrolled lithium dendrite growth can cause poor cell performance and severe safety issues,seriously slowing down the commercialization of LMBs.Transition metals(TMs)are lithiophilic materials that effectively stabilize lithium metal anode(LMA)and inhibit dendrite growth.Herein,the growth of lithium dendrites and the performance of TMs in stabilizing lithium metals are comprehensively discussed in this review.First,we elucidated the formation mechanisms of lithium dendrite,and we put forward several strategies to suppress lithium dendrite formation based on the understanding of these mechanisms.Then,the application of TMs and their compounds to stabilize LMA and their corresponding mechanisms are comprehensively clarified.Last,further research perspectives of TMs in stabilizing LMA are emphasized in detail.

CD3ε of a pan T cell marker involved in mouse Aspergillus fumigatus keratitis

AIM:To explore whether CD3ε is involved in the adaptive immunity of Aspergillus fumigatus(A.fumigatus)keratitis in mice and the role of innate and adaptive immunity in it.METHODS:Mice models of A.fumigatus keratitis were established by intra-stromal injection and corneal epithelial scratching.Subconjunctival injections of natamycin,wedelolactone,LOX-1 inhibitor(poly I)or Dectin-1 inhibitor(laminarin)were used to treat mice with A.fumigatus keratitis.Mice were pretreated by intraperitoneal injection of anti-mouse CD3ε.We observed the corneal infection of mice under the slit lamp microscope and made a clinical score.The protein expression of CD3ε and interleukin-10(IL-10)was determined by Western blotting.RESULTS:With the disease progresses,the degree of corneal opacity and edema augmented.In the intrastromal injection models,CD3εprotein expression began to increase significantly on the 2^(nd) day.However,in the scraping epithelial method models,CD3ε only began to increase on the 3^(rd) day.After natamycin treatment,the degree of corneal inflammation in mice was significantly attenuated on the 3^(rd) day.After wedelolactone treatment,the severity of keratitis worsened.And the amount of CD3ε protein was also reduced,compared with the control group.By inhibiting LOX-1 and Dectin-1,there was no significant difference in CD3ε production compared with the control group.After inhibiting CD3ε,corneal ulcer area and clinical score increased,and IL-10 expression was downregulated.CONCLUSION:As a pan T cell marker,CD3ε participate in the adaptive immunity of A.fumigatus keratitis in mice.In our mice models,the corneas will enter the adaptive immune stage faster.By regulating IL-10,CD3ε exerts antiinflammatory and repairs effects in the adaptive immune stage.

Synthesis of hierarchical SAPO-11-based catalysts with Al-based metal-organic framework derivative as mesoporogen to improve n-decane branched isomerization

Hierarchical SAPO-11 molecular sieve(ACS-11) was successfully synthesized employing the Al2O3/carbon(Al_(2)O_(3)/C) composite obtained through the pyrolysis of Al-based metal-organic framework(Al-MOF-96)as mesoporogen.Unlike other carbon-based mesoporogens with strong hydrophobicity,the Al_(2)O_(3)/C interacts with phosphoric acid and generates the AlPO_(4)/C structure,which promotes the Al2O3/C dispersion in the synthesis gel of SAPO-11 and avoids the phase separation between them.The Al_(2)O_(3)/C as mesoporogen decreases the crystallite size of SAPO-11 via preventing the aggregation of SAPO-11crystals.Additionally,the addition of Al_(2)O_(3)/C improves the Si distribution in the ACS-11 framework.Consequently,ACS-11 has smaller crystallites,more mesopores,and a greater amount of medium Bronsted acid centers than the conventional microporous SAPO-11 and the SAPO-11 synthesized using activated carbon as mesoporogen.The corresponding Pt/ACS-11 catalyst exhibits the maximal selectivity to multi-branched C10isomers(23.28%) and the minimal cracking selectivity(15.83%) in n-decane hydroisomerization among these catalysts.This research provides a new approach for preparing hierarchical silicoaluminophosphate molecular sieve-based catalysts to produce high-quality fuels.

Oceanic uptake and storage of anthropogenic CO_(2)(CANT)are regulated by ocean circulation and ventilation.To decipher the storage and redistribution of CANT in the western North Pacific,where a major CANT sink develops,we investigated the water column carbonate system,dissolved inorganic radiocarbon and ancillary parameters in May and August 2018,spanning the Kuroshio Extension(KE,35-39°N),Kuroshio Recirculation(KR,27-35°N)and subtropical(21-27°N)zones.Water column CANT inventories were estimated to be 40.5±1.1 mol m^(-2) in the KR zone and 37.2±0.9 mol m^(-2) in the subtropical zone.In comparison with historical data obtained in 2005,relatively high rates of increase of the CANT inventory of 1.05±0.20 and 1.03±0.12 mol m^(-2) yr^(-1) in the recent decade were obtained in the KR and subtropical zones,respectively.Our water-mass-based analyses suggest that formation and transport of subtropical mode water dominate the deep penetration,storage,and redistribution of CANT in those two regions.In the KE zone,however,both the water column CANT inventory and the decadal CANT accumulation rate were small and uncertain owing to the dynamic hydrology,where the naturally uplifting isopycnal surfaces make CANT penetration relatively shallow.The findings of this study improve the understanding of the spatiotemporal variations of CANT distribution,storage,and transport in the western North Pacific.

Synthesis of ZSM-22/SAPO-11 composite molecular sieve-based catalysts with small crystallites and superior n-alkane hydroisomerization performance

To improve oil quality,ZSM-22/SAPO-11 composite molecular sieves were synthesized by adding ZSM-22 into a synthetic gel of SAPO-11 for n-decane hydroisomerization.The mass ratios of ZSM-22/(ZSM-22+SAPO-11)in the composite molecular sieves were optimized and the optimal ZSM-22/SAPO-11 composite(ZS-9)was obtained.The electrostatic repulsions between the ZSM-22 precursors and the SAPO-11 crystalline nuclei produced small ZSM-22 and SAPO-11 crystallites in ZS-9,which increased the specific surface area and mesopore volume and thereby exposed more acid sites.In comparison with conventional SAPO-11,ZSM-22 and their mechanical mixture,ZS-9 with smaller crystallites and the optimal medium and strong Brønsted acid centers(MSBAC)content displayed a higher yield of branched C_(10) isomers(81.6%),lower cracking selectivity(11.9%)and excellent stability.The correlation between the i-C_(10) selectivity and the MSBAC density of molecular sieves indicated that the selectivity for branched C_(10) isomers first increased and then decreased with increasing MSBAC density on the molecular sieves,and the maximum selectivity(87.7%)occurred with a density of 9.6×10^(−2)μmol m^(−2).

On the global smooth solutions of 3D incompressible Hall-MHD equations

The present paper is devoted to the well-posedness issue for the 3D incompressible Hall-MHD system obtained from kinetic models. Our analysis strongly relies on the use of the Fourier analysis. We establish the global existence of smooth solutions for a class of large initial data, this result implies the initial velocity and magnetic field can be arbitrarily large.
