Metachronous isolated penile metastasis from sigmoid colon adenocarcinoma:A case report

BACKGROUND Sigmoid colon adenocarcinoma has a high incidence among gastrointestinal tumors,and it very rarely metastasizes to the *** literature reports that the prognosis after penile metastasis is generally poor,with a median survival of about 9 *** isolated metastasis to the penis originating from sigmoid colon adenocarcinoma has not been reported so ***,we report a case of sigmoid colon adenocarcinoma with isolated penile metastasis occurring 2 years after *** mass was pathologically confirmed as metastatic adenocarcinoma,and oral chemotherapy with capecitabine was given after *** tumor did not recur during the 2-year follow-up *** SUMMARY A 79-year-old man presented to the urology department with"a mass located at the root of the penis since 1 mo".Enhanced computed tomography(CT)examination suggested a 12 mm×10 mm×9 mm nodule at the root of the right penile corpus ***,pulmonary,and abdominal CT;and bone scan did not show any tumorigenic *** carcinoembryonic antigen(CEA)level was slightly elevated(6.01 ng/mL,reference value 0-5 ng/mL).The patient had undergone laparoscopic radical sigmoidectomy for sigmoid colon cancer 2 years *** postoperative pathology showed moderately differentiated adenocarcinoma of the sigmoid colon,and the stage was *** penile mass was removed under general *** postoperative pathology showed adenocarcinoma,and immunohistochemistry showed CDX2(+),CK20(+),and Villin(+).Based on the medical history,he was diagnosed with penile metastasis from sigmoid colon *** CEA level returned to normal(3.34 ng/mL)4 d after *** chemotherapy with capecitabine was given subsequently,and tumor recurrence was not found during the 2-year follow-up *** To our knowledge,this is a rare case of metachronous isolated penile metastasis from sigmoid colon *** penis is a potential site of metastasis of colon adenocarcinoma,an

Dion-Jacobson （DJ） phase hybrid perovskites have been proven to improve the photovoltaic performance of the devices due to its unique *** present,some DJ hybrid perovskites have been reported and used for photodetection filed,but most of them are based on lead-bromide systems,which is not conducive to construct broadband photodetection devices due to the limitation of intrinsic ***,we constructed a bilayered DJ hybrid perovskite （3AMPY）(EA)Pb2I7(3AMPY2+is 3-（aminomethyl）pyridinium,EA+is ethylammonium) using an aromatic spacer,which exhibit large current on/off ratios of 10～4under 520 and 637 nm *** particular,the single crystal device based on （3AMPY）(EA)Pb2I7shows a distinguished detectivity of 7.4×1012Jones and a high responsivity of 0.89A/W under 637 nm *** finding not only enriches the quantities of DJ hybrid perovskites,but also provides useful assistance for constructing high-performance optoelectronic device in the future.

The hot deformation behavior of Pt−10Ir alloy was studied under a wide range of deformation *** a low deformation temperature(950−1150℃),the softening mechanism is primarily dynamic *** addition,dynamic recrystallization by progressive lattice rotation near grain boundaries(DRX by LRGBs)and microshear bands assisted dynamic recrystallization(MSBs assisted DRX)coordinate the ***,it is difficult for the dynamic softening to offset the stain hardening due to a limited amount of DRXed *** a high deformation temperature(1250−1350℃),three main DRX mechanisms associated with strain rates occur:DRX by LRGBs,DRX by a homogeneous increase in misorientation(HIM)and geometric DRX(GDRX).With increasing strain,DRX by LRGBs is enhanced gradually under high strain rates;the“pinch-off”effect is enhanced at low strain rates,which was conducive to the formation of a uniform and fine microstructure.

Pancreatic stent improves the success rate of needle-knife papillotomy in patients with difficult biliary cannulation

BACKGROUND Needle-knife precut papillotomy(NKP)is typically performed ***,it remains unclear whether pancreatic stent(PS)placement can improve the outcomes of *** To explore whether PS placement improves the success rate of NKP in patients with difficult biliary *** This single-center retrospective study included 190 patients who underwent NKP between January 2017 and December 2021 after failed conventional biliary *** cases with incidental pancreatic duct cannulation during conventional biliary cannulation,the decision for pre-NKP PS placement was made at the endoscopist's *** primary outcome was the difference in the NKP success rate between patients with and without PS placement;the secondary outcome was the adverse event *** Among the 190 participants,82 received pre-NKP PS(PS-NKP group)whereas 108 did not[freehand or freehand NKP(FH-NKP)group].Post-NKP selective biliary cannulation was successful in 167(87.9%)patients,and the PS-NKP had a significantly higher success rate than the FH-NKP group(93.9%vs 83.3%,P=0.027).The overall adverse event rates were 7.3%and 11.1%in the PS-NKP and FH-NKP groups,respectively(P=0.493).A periampullary diverticulum(PAD)and significant intraoperative bleeding during NKP were independently associated with NKP failure;however,a pre-NKP PS was the only predictor of NKP *** the 44 participants with PADs,the PS-NKP group had a non-significantly higher NKP success rate than the FH-NKP group(87.5%and 65%,respectively;P=0.076).CONCLUSION PS significantly improved the success rate of NKP in patients with difficult biliary cannulation.

Vascular disrupting agents(VDAs)can destroy tumor vasculature and lead to tumor ischemia and hypoxia,resulting in tumor ***,VDAs are easy to induce the upregulation of genes that are associated with cancer cell drug resistance and angiogenesis in tumor ***-activated chemotherapy will be an ideal supplement to VDAs therapy since it can help to fully utilize the ischemia and hypoxia induced by VDAs to realize a synergistic antitumor therapeutic ***,we design a liposome whose surface is modified with a tumor-homing peptide Cys-Arg-Glu-Lys-Ala(CREKA,which can specifically target tumor vessels and stroma)and whose aqueous cavity and lipid bilayer are loaded by a hypoxia-activatable drug banoxantrone dihydrochloride(AQ4N)and a VDA combretastatin A4(CA4),***4 can selectively target vascular endothelial cells and destroy the tumor blood vessels,which will cause the rapid inhibition of blood flow in tumor and enhance the hypoxia in the tumor *** a consequence,AQ4N can exert its boosted cytotoxicity under the enhanced hypoxic *** as-prepared liposome with a uniform particle size exhibits good stability and high cancer cell killing efficacy in *** addition,in vivo experiments confirm the excellent tumortargeting/accumulation,tumor vasculature-damaging,and tumor inhibition effects of the *** work develops a liposomal which can achieve safe and effective tumor suppression without external stimulus excitation by only single injection,and is expected to benefit the future development of effective antitumor liposomal drugs.

目的探讨胃肠道间质瘤(GISTs)的临床病理、免疫组化特征及预后相关因素。方法103例胃肠道间质瘤患者接受手术后分析其病理形态学,观察肿瘤大小、细胞核异性型和核分裂相,并根据这些指标进行分型。检测肿瘤组织CD117和CD34免疫学表型。结果本组103例胃肠道间质瘤中CD117阳性表达93例(90.3%),CD34阳性表达69例(70.0%),不同部位GISTs其CD117和CD34表达无显著差异(P>0.05)。良性肿瘤患者的三年无病生存率显著地高于恶性肿瘤(P<0.05)。结论CD34和CD117联合使用可协助鉴别诊断GISTs。基于肿瘤大小、细胞异型性以及核分裂相等的组织形态学分型可作为诊断恶性GISTs参考指标。
