With introduction of the first-order strain-gradient of surface micro-beams into the energy density function,we developed a two-dimensional dynamic model for a compound quartz crystal resonator（QCR） system,consisting of a QCR and surface micro-beam *** frequency shift that was induced by micro-beams with consideration of strain-gradients is discussed in detail and some useful results are obtained,which have important significance in resonator design and applications.

China’s natural gas market is focusing on price reform and aims to reconstruct vertically integrated industrial chains in the *** on the mixed complementarity problem model of gas markets with nodes in Henan Province,China,as an example,this paper applies numerical modeling to simulate the effects of social welfare and equilibrium prices on nodes in two scenarios:pipeline integration and pipeline *** findings reveal the following:(1)Pipeline separation yields greater overall social welfare than pipeline integration,with the welfare shifting from gas producers to consumption markets.(2)Pipeline separation lowers the equilibrium consumption prices by driving competition among gas supply sources.(3)Pipeline separation will increase the contribution of natural gas to primary energy.

Evaluating the recyclability of powders in additive manufacturing has been a long-term *** this study,the microstructure and mechanical properties of a nickel-based superalloy fabricated by laser powder-bed fusion(LPBF)using recycled powders were ***-melted powder surfaces,satellite particles,and deformed powders were found in the recycled powders,combined with a high-oxygencontent surface *** increasing oxygen content led to the formation of high-density oxide inclusions;moreover,printing-induced cracks widely occurred and mainly formed along the grain boundaries in the as-built LPBF nickel-based superalloys fabricated using recycled powders.A little change in the Si or Mn content did not increase the hot cracking susceptibility(HCS)of the printed *** changing aspect ratio and the surface damage of the recycled powders might contribute to increasing the crack ***,the configuration of cracks in the as-built parts led to anisotropic mechanical properties,mainly resulting in extremely low ductility vertical to the building direction,and the cracks mainly propagated along the cellular boundary owing to the existence of a brittle precipitation phase.

Pneumatic muscles with similar characteristics to biological muscles have been widely used in robots, and thus are promising drivers for frog inspired robots. How- ever, the application and nonlinearity of the pneumatic system limit the advance. On the basis of the swimming mechanism of the frog, a frog-inspired robot based on pneumatic muscles is developed. To realize the indepen- dent tasks by the robot, a pneumatic system with internal chambers, micro air pump, and valves is implemented. The micro pump is used to maintain the pressure difference between the source and exhaust chambers. The pneumatic muscles are controlled by high-speed switch valves which can reduce the robot cost, volume, and mass. A dynamic model of the pneumatic system is established for the sim- ulation to estimate the system, including the chamber, muscle, and pneumatic circuit models. The robot design is verified by the robot swimming experiments and the dynamic model is verified through the experiments and simulations of the pneumatic system. The simulation results are compared to analyze the functions of the source pressure, internal volume of the muscle, and circuit flow rate which is proved the main factor that limits the response of muscle pressure. The proposed research provides the application of the pneumatic muscles in the frog inspired robot and the pneumatic model to study muscle controller.

An intricate relationship exists and interactions occur between gut microbiota and colorectal cancer(CRC).Radical surgery combined with adjuvant chemotherapy(AC) serves as the mainstream therapeutic scheme for most CRC *** current research was conducted to assess the effect of surgery or chemotherapy on gut ***-three CRC patients who received radical surgery and AC were *** samples were collected preoperatively,postoperatively,and after the first to fifth cycles of postoperative *** microbial community of each sample was analyzed using high throughput 16S rRNA amplicon *** with preoperative samples,fecal samples collected postoperatively exhibited a significant decrease of obligate anaerobes,tumor-related bacteria,and butyric acid-producing ***,a significant increase of some conditional pathogens was *** addition,the AC regimen(CapeOx) was found to alter intestinal microbiota *** particular,several changes were observed after chemotherapy including an increase of pathogenic bacteria,the "rebound effect" of chemotherapy-adapted bacteria,the shift of lactate-utilizing microbiota from Veillonella to Butyricimonas and Butyricicoccus,as well as the decrease of *** radical surgery and CapeOx chemotherapy exert a non-negligible effect on the gut microbiota of CRC ***-based intervention may be beneficial for patients during postoperative clinical management.

The ketogenic diet(KD)is a high-fat,adequate-protein,and very-low-carbohydrate diet regimen that mimics the metabolism of the fasting state to induce the production of ketone *** KD has long been established as a remarkably successful dietary approach for the treatment of intractable epilepsy and has increasingly garnered research attention rapidly in the past decade,subject to emerging evidence of the promising therapeutic potential of the KD for various diseases,besides epilepsy,from obesity to *** this review,we summarize the experimental and/or clinical evidence of the efficacy and safety of the KD in different diseases,and discuss the possible mechanisms of action based on recent advances in understanding the influence of the KD at the cellular and molecular *** emphasize that the KD may function through multiple mechanisms,which remain to be further *** challenges and future directions for the clinical implementation of the KD in the treatment of a spectrum of diseases have been *** suggest that,with encouraging evidence of therapeutic effects and increasing insights into the mechanisms of action,randomized controlled trials should be conducted to elucidate a foundation for the clinical use of the KD.

To obtain the maximum angiotensin-I converting enzyme(ACE) inhibitory activity, the protein hydrolysis conditions of the jellyfish Rhopilema hispidum were optimized using response surface methodology(RSM). Trypsin was selected to produce R. hispidum protein hydrolysates(RPH) with ACE inhibitory activity. The optimal parameters for producing protein hydrolysates with the highest ACE inhibitory activity were as follows: hydrolysis time 5 h, hydrolysis temperature 50℃, and the enzyme-to-substrate ratio 6%. Under these conditions, the ACE inhibitory rate of RPH could reach 64.28% ± 5.72%. In addition, RPH contained high levels of Gly, Glu, Pro, Ala, Asp and Arg, with a molecular weight distribution range of 0.32–6.84 kDa. The following three novel ACE inhibitory peptides were isolated and identified: Ile-Gly-Glu-Thr-Gly-Pro, Gly-Ala-Thr-Gly-Pro-Ala-Gly-Tyr-Val and Gly-AlaPhe-Gly-Pro-Gly-Gly-Leu-Val-Gly-Arg-Pro. The IC_(50) values of the ACE inhibitory activity of these three purified peptides were 19.07, 27.42 and 31.26 μmol L^(-1), respectively. These results suggested that proteins and peptides isolated from R. hispidum could be utilized as antihypertensive functional food sources.

Experimental evidence has been presented to suggest that the human augmenter of liver regeneration （hALR） serves as a hepatotruphic growth factor during liver regeneration and as a generalized growth factor during pancreas transplant/regeneration. A prokaryotic expression plasmid, pRSET/6his-c-myc-hALR was constructed, by cloning synthesized hALR cDNA into pRSET/6his-c-myc that was improved on the basis of pRSET B by the group. As a result, the protein was highly expressed in E. coli BL21. The recombinant hALR was over 60% of the total protein in E. coli. Its validity was confirmed by means of Western Blotting. The protein was purified by Ni-NTA affinity chrumatography and this FAD-dependent sulthydryl oxidase activity was measured.

Anisotropy in mechanical properties and corrosion resistance of 316L stainless steel fabricated by selective laser melting

The corrosion behavior and mechanical properties of 316 L stainless steel(SS) fabricated via selective laser melting(SLM) were clarified by potentiodynamic polarization measurements, immersion tests, and tensile experiments. The microstructural anisotropy of SLMed 316 L SS was also investigated by electron back-scattered diffraction and transmission electron microscopy. The grain sizes of the SLMed 316 L SS in the XOZ plane were smaller than those of the SLMed 316 L SS in the XOY plane, and a greater number of low-angle boundaries were present in the XOY plane, resulting in lower elongation for the XOY plane than for the XOZ plane. The SLMed 316 L was expected to exhibit higher strength but lower ductility than the wrought 316 L, which was attributed to the high density of dislocations. The pitting potentials of the SLMed 316 L samples were universally higher than those of the wrought sample in chloride solutions because of the annihilation of MnS or(Ca,Al)-oxides during the rapid solidification. However, the molten pool boundaries preferentially dissolved in aggressive solutions and the damage of the SLMed 316 L in FeCl3 solution was more serious after long-term service, indicating poor durability.

Accumulating evidence suggests that ketogenic diets(KDs)mediate the rise of circulating ketone bodies and exert a potential antiinflammatory effect;however,the consequences of this unique diet on colitis remain *** performed a series of systematic studies using a dextran sulfate sodium(DSS)animal model of inflammatory *** were fed with a KD,low-carbohydrate diet(LCD),or normal diet(ND).Germ-free mice were utilized in validation *** tissues were analyzed by transcriptome sequencing,RT2 profiler PCR array,histopathology,and *** samples were analyzed by metabolic assay *** samples were analyzed by 16S rRNA gene sequencing,liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry and gas chromatography-mass *** observed that KD alleviated colitis by altering the gut microbiota and metabolites in a manner distinct from *** diet experiments confirmed the unique impact of KD relative to LCD with a reproducible increase in Akkermansia,whereas the opposite was observed for Escherichia/*** colitis induction,the KD protected intestinal barrier function,and reduced the production of R0Ryt+CD3_group 3 innate lymphoid cells(ILC3s)and related inflammatory cytokines(IL-17a,IL-18,IL-22,Ccl4).Finally,fecal microbiota transplantation into germ-free mice revealed that the KD-mediated colitis inhibition and ILC3 regulation were dependent on the modification of gut *** together,our study presents a global view of microbiome-metabolomics changes that occur during KD colitis treatment,and identifies the regulation of gut microbiome and ILC3s as novel targets involving in IBD dietary therapy.
