Objective:To scrutinize the definitions of minimal invasive surgical therapy(MIST)and to investigate urologists’knowledge,attitudes,and practices for benign prostatic obstruction surgeries.Methods:A 36-item survey was developed with a Delphi method.Questions on definitions of MIST and attitudes and practices of benign prostatic obstruction surgeries were included.Urologists were invited globally to complete the online survey.Consensus was achieved when more than or equal to 70%responses were“agree or strongly agree”and less than or equal to 15%responses were“disagree or strongly disagree”(consensus agree),or when more than or equal to 70%responses were“disagree or strongly disagree”and less than or equal to 15%responses were“agree or strongly agree”(consensus disagree).Results:The top three qualities for defining MIST were minimal blood loss(n=466,80.3%),fast post-operative recovery(n=431,74.3%),and short hospital stay(n=425,73.3%).The top three surgeries that were regarded as MIST were Urolift®(n=361,62.2%),Rezum®(n=351,60.5%),and endoscopic enucleation of the prostate(EEP)(n=332,57.2%).Consensus in the knowledge section was achieved for the superiority of Urolift®,Rezum®,and iTIND®over transurethral resection of the prostate with regard to blood loss,recovery,day surgery feasibility,and post-operative continence.Consensus in the attitudes section was achieved for the superiority of Urolift®,Rezum®,and iTIND®over transurethral resection of the prostate with regard to blood loss,recovery,and day surgery feasibility.Consensus on both sections was achieved for EEP as the option with the better symptoms and flow improvement,lower retreatment rate,and better suitable for prostate more than 80 mL.Conclusion:Minimal blood loss,fast post-operative recovery,and short hospital stay were the most important qualities for defining MIST.Urolift®,Rezum®,and EEP were regarded as MIST by most urologists.

A facile chemical method for the development of photocatalytic coating products was proposed based on practical application perspective for the Hong Kong roadside nitrogen oxides(NO_(x))mitigation.TiO_(2)-based photocatalytic coating PC-C film with crystallized size of around 5–6 nm was synthesized with the peptization of H_(2)O_(2).The PC-C coating possesses a super-hydrophilicity surface and is proven to have a NO_(x)degradation rate of 46.8%with an optimum pH level of 7.In addition,the PC-C coating presents a promising photocatalytic NO_(x)degradation compared with other commercially available coating products and P25 when applied on two building materials of poly-methyl methacrylate(PMMA)and concrete surface.A weather resistance simulation and a 180-day on-site field trial were carried out the attenuation effects of photocatalytic coating applied in outdoor exposure.Based on epidemiological estimation and field investigation,hospital admissions for respiratory diseases(HARD)and mortality cases(MC)could be reduced with the application of PC-C coating along the street canyon.This work demonstrates the feasibility of air pollution control measures for the local roadside NO_(x)using photocatalytic technology,offering promising health benefits with environmental remediation.

基于SYSWELD软件平台,以新型NM500钢的多层多道对接接头为研究对象,开发一种考虑固态相变的“热-冶金-力学”耦合计算方法来模拟对接接头的温度场、组织体积百分数以及焊接残余应力。同时,采用光学显微镜观察对接接头的显微组织,采用显微硬度计测量接头硬度分布,以及采用小孔法测量对接接头表面残余应力。数值模拟结果与试验测量结果的比较表明:使用实际焊接热输入模拟得到的对接接头超过冶金熔点以上的温度区域与实际焊接接头熔化区吻合较好;纵向残余应力峰值位于紧邻热影响区的母材上,其值约为1600 MPa,与母材的常温屈服极限相当;横向残余应力在焊缝厚度方向呈现“拉-压-拉”的分布形态。总体而言,数值模拟得到纵向及横向残余应力的大小及分布与试验测量结果吻合较好,验证了“热-冶金-力学”耦合计算方法的有效性。基于数值模拟结果,探讨了NM500钢多层多道对接接头焊接残余应力的形成机理。

Bentonite-sand mixtures are widely used in engineering barrier of deep geological disposal of high-level radioactive nuclear waste and anti-seepage barrier of civil geotechnical engineering.Under the action of groundwater solution infiltration and external stress,the hydro-mechanical(HM)behaviour of bentonitesand mixtures,i.***.the swelling characteristics and permeability,will change.Once the anti-seepage and filtration effect is weakened or lost,the pollutants will spread to the biosphere.Therefore,it is necessary to study the swelling characteristics and permeability of bentonite-sand mixtures under coupled mechanochemical(MC)effect and to establish corresponding prediction model.For this reason,swelling tests under salt solution with different concentrations are conducted on pure bentonite and its mixtures with 30%,70%and 90%sand contents,the compression tests are carried out on saturated samples,and the saturated permeability coefficient k of the sample under each load is calculated by Terzaghi’s one-dimensional consolidation theory.The concepts of true effective stress pe,montmorillonite void ratio em and critical sand content as are introduced to determine the em-pe relationship and finally the k-em relationship of bentonite-sand mixtures.It is found that when the sand content aas,the em-pe relationship of the mixture is linear and independent of the salt solution concentration,and when a>as,the em-pe relationship of bentonite-sand mixture is bi-linear with the true effective deviatoric stress pesa as the intersection.In addition,the em-k relationship also shows the linear trend when aas,and the slope of the line increases with the increase of the salt solution concentration.When a>as,the k-em relationship will deviate from the linear relationship.Moreover,the larger the sand content is,the farther the deviation is.On the basis of summing the regularity,a model for predicting the HM behaviour of bentonite-sand mixture under the coupled MC effect is proposed.By comparing the swelling and permeability test r

A new notion of bent sequence related to Hadamard matrices was introduced recently,motivated by a security application(Solé,et al.,2021).The authors study the self-dual class in length at most 196.The authors use three competing methods of generation:Exhaustion,Linear Algebra and Gr?bner bases.Regular Hadamard matrices and Bush-type Hadamard matrices provide many examples.The authors conjecture that if v is an even perfect square,a self-dual bent sequence of length v always exists.The authors introduce the strong automorphism group of Hadamard matrices,which acts on their associated self-dual bent sequences.The authors give an efficient algorithm to compute that group.

Ultrasound focusing in three-dimensional(3 D)space is of crucial and enduring significance in a variety of biomedical and industrial applications.Conventional ultrasound focusing based on active phase array or passive geometry of bulky size is unable to realize the 3 D arbitrary focusing with subwavelength resolution.Acoustic metamaterial of complex deep-subwavelength microstructure has facilitated the advanced airborne-sound-focusing but is inevitably not applicable for underwater ultrasound,restricted by the law between the multi-modes coupling/thermal viscosity and the feature size of the structure.Here,we aim to circumvent the restriction by increasing the feature size of the metamaterial while keeping the compact overall geometry,and realize the robust subwavelength ultrasound focusing with the sparse metalens of the wavelength-scale meta-atom.We theoretically propose and demonstrate numerically and experimentally the broadband arbitrary ultrasound focusing in 3 D space.The axial and off-axis ultrasound focusing with the subwavelength resolution(FWHM<0.58λ)are achieved by the spatially sparse and compact metalens within one-octave bandwidth.With advantages of 3 D freewheeling focusing,subwavelength resolution,spatial sparsity,geometric simplicity,and broadband,the sparse metalens would offer more initiatives to advanced researches in ultrasound focusing and empower applications such as precise biomedical imaging and therapy,nondestructive evaluation,integrated and multiplexed ultrasound devices.
