Improving Semi-Dried Brown Rice Noodle Quality via Mixed Fermentation of Lactobacillus and Yeast

Some of the main progress on the investigation of the mechanism of the wave formation in explosive welding at the Institute of Mechanics is summarized and others’previous works are reviewed. Our systematic experiments and analysis do not substantiate the theory of wave formation based on Karman vortex-street analogy or Helmholtz instability. On the contrary, they show that material strength insensitive to strain rate plays an important role. A simple hydro-plastic model is presented to explain the main features regarding the interfacial wave formation and to estimate the magnitude of wave length. The result is in broad agreement with experiment.

Time-varying diffusion characteristics of different gases in coal particles

Based on the analytical solution of gas diffusion in spherical coal particles with a constant diffusion coefficient, a calculation method of time-varying diffusion coefficient is proposed by constructing objective function. The time-varying diffusion behavior of methane, nitrogen and carbon dioxide in the coal particles was studied. The results show that with the increase of diffusion time, the diffusion coefficients of methane, nitrogen and carbon dioxide gas in the coal particles exhibit an attenuation characteristic, eventually approaching a limit value individually. The diffusion coefficient of carbon dioxide is larger than methane, and the diffusion coefficient of nitrogen is smallest. Significant phenomenon of limited diffusion was observed for coal of strong adsorption capability. Through the analysis of the diffusion coefficient of gases at different diffusion time, a mathematical model describing the time-varying diffusion characteristic of gases is obtained. The implementation of mixed gases to replace coal bed methane has a very important practical significance.

We report on the operation of passively Q-switched waveguide lasers at 1 μm wavelength based on a graphene∕WS_2 heterostructure as a saturable absorber(SA). The gain medium is a crystalline Nd:YVO_4 cladding waveguide produced by femtosecond laser writing. The nanosecond waveguide laser operation at 1064 nm has been realized with the maximum average output power of 275 m W and slope efficiency of 37%. In comparison with the systems based on single WS_2 or graphene SA, the lasing Q-switched by a graphene∕WS_2 heterostructure SA possesses advantages of a higher pulse energy and enhanced slope efficiency, indicating the promisingapplications of van der Waals heterostructures for ultrafast photonic devices.

In this work,we discovered an unexpected mechanoluminescence (ML) phenomena occurring when transforming amorphous into crystalline,due to the stress-induced precipitation of CsPbBr3 perovskite nanocrystals on glass *** is revealed that,unlike the conventional thermal-induced phase transformation mechanism,the breakage of bonding of glass network provides the energy for nucleation and growth,and the shear stress avoids the long-range migration of structural units for *** unique ML phenomenon enables the visualization of dynamical force that is inaccessible by common strategy,and so,opens up some novel applications,such as the pressure-sensitive "glassy pencil" to learn people's writing habits,and the pb^2+-detection with good sensitivity and *** findings not only demonstrate an effective route for the preparation of perovskite materials in a green,time-saving,low cost,and scalable way,enrich the knowledge of glass crystallization mechanism,but also exploit a useful avenue to quantitatively visualize the dynamical force.

The present paper briefly reviews analytical studies of the evolution of thermo-plastic shear band,*** from uniform deformation,post-instability growth and latestage *** case studied is the simple shear of temperature and rate-dependentmaterials with heat *** mode exists before a critical state,if no heat flows out *** reaching the critical state, bifurcation appears as a result of disturbances,which leads to instability and the formation of narrow shear ***,the band,due totemperature disturbance,can shrink with increasing temperature and strain rate owing tounsteady *** heat conduction dominates and causes the shear band to *** post-mortem appearance of thermo-plastic shear band manifests itself as balance of plastic work rateand heat *** may also take place within the band.
