Previous studies on the hollow cylinder torsional shear test(HCTST)have mainly focused on the macroscopic behavior,while the micromechanical responses in soil specimens with shaped particles have rarely been *** paper develops a numerical model of the HCTST using the discrete element method(DEM).The method of bonded spheres in a hexagonal arrangement is proposed to generate flexible boundaries that can achieve real-time adjustment of the internal and external cell pressures and capture the inhomogeneous deformation in the radial direction during *** angular particles are selected from Toyoura sand and reproduced in this model to approximate real sand *** model is then validated by comparing numerical and experimental results of HCTSTs on Toyoura sand with different major principal stress ***,a series of HCTSTs with different combinations of major principal stress direction(a)and intermediate principal stress ratio(b)is simulated to quantitatively characterize the sand behavior under different shear *** results show that the shaped particles are horizontally distributed before shearing,and the initial anisotropic packing structure further results in different stressestrain curves in cases with different a and b *** distribution of force chains is affected by both a and b during the shear process,together with the formation of the shear bands in different *** contact normal anisotropy and contact force anisotropy show different evolution patterns when either a or b varies,resulting in the differences in the non-coaxiality and other macroscopic *** study improves the understanding of the macroscopic response of sand from a microscopic perspective and provides valuable insights for the constitutive modeling of sand.

Research to reliably predict the seismic response of nuclear power stations with a pile-raft foundation is needed to meet the high safety requirements of nuclear power *** this study,a scaled superstructure with a 4×3 pile-raft foundation,which is constructed in Shanxi kaolin clay,is ***,the characteristics of seismic response for nuclear power stations with a pile-raft foundation are analyzed using dynamic centrifuge *** particular,multiple earthquake motions with different magnitudes and frequency properties are utilized to map the relationship between structural response and properties of earthquake *** results show that the seismic response of the soil,raft,and structure are significantly affected by the natural frequency and magnitude of the earthquake *** soil surface acceleration is lower than the raft *** results provide a reliable reference to better understand the seismic response of nuclear power stations.

DEAR EDITOR,Breast cancer is the most common malignant tumor in women,posing a serious threat to health. Tree shrews(Tupaia belangeri chinensis) are evolutionarily closer to humans than rodents and are emerging as an attractive experimental animal model for breast cancer. The pik3CA gene is frequently mutated in both human and tree shrew breast tumors. Herein, we effectively overexpressed pik3CA-H1047R in the mammary epithelial cells of tree shrews using a lentivirus to induce breast tumors.

Triple-negative breast cancer(TNBC)is the most challenging breast cancer *** stratification and target therapy bring clinical benefit for TNBC patients,but it is difficult to implement comprehensive molecular testing in clinical ***,using our multi-omics TNBC cohort(N=425),a deep learning-based framework was devised and validated for comprehensive predictions of molecular features,subtypes and prognosis from pathological whole slide *** framework first incorporated a neural network to decompose the tissue on WSIs,followed by a second one which was trained based on certain tissue types for predicting different ***-omics molecular features were analyzed including somatic mutations,copy number alterations,germline mutations,biological pathway activities,metabolomics features and immunotherapy *** was shown that the molecular features with therapeutic implications can be predicted including the somatic pik3CA mutation,germline BRCA2 mutation and PD-L1 protein expression(area under the curve[AUC]:0.78,0.79 and 0.74 respectively).The molecular subtypes of TNBC can be identified(AUC:0.84,0.85,0.93 and 0.73 for the basal-like immune-suppressed,immunomodulatory,luminal androgen receptor,and mesenchymal-like subtypes respectively)and their distinctive morphological patterns were revealed,which provided novel insights into the heterogeneity of TNBC.A neural network integrating image features and clinical covariates stratified patients into groups with different survival outcomes(log-rank P<0.001).Our prediction framework and neural network models were externally validated on the TNBC cases from TCGA(N=143)and appeared robust to the changes in patient *** potential clinical translation,we built a novel online platform,where we modularized and deployed our framework along with the validated *** can realize real-time one-stop prediction for new *** summary,using only pathological WSIs,our proposed framework

作为精神分裂症患者的核心症状之一的阴性症状,正在严重的影响着病人的预后以及社会功能的恢复。动机与愉快自评量表(MAP-SR)是建立在阴性症状临床诊断量表(CAINS)基础上所发展出来的专门用于考察阴性症状的工具,它试图弥补其他自评问卷的缺陷。本研究的第一部分,旨在验证中文版MAP-SR在精神分裂症病人中的心理测量特性;第二部分则试图通过比较精神分裂症病人与对照、社会快感缺失群体与对照的差异,评估其区分精神分裂症谱系的个体与健康对照的能力。研究招募了150位慢性精神分裂症病人与80位对照,以及85对社会快感缺失个体和健康对照(使用Chapman社会快感缺失量表筛选入组)。结果表明,在精神分裂症病人中,MAP-SR拥有较好的内部一致性(Cronbach’salpha=0.90)和重测信度(intraclass correlation coefficient=0.98)。验证性因素分析发现原始的四因素模型在病人数据中得到了良好的拟合。MAP-SR与阳性与阴性症状量表(PANSS),阴性症状评估量表(SANS),阴性症状临床评估访谈(CAINS)和愉快情绪体验量表(Temporal Experience of Pleasure Scale,TEPS)都存在显著相关,证明了其具有较好的聚合效度;另一方面,并没有观察到MAP-SR与卡尔加里精神分裂症抑郁量表(CDSS),锥体外系副反应量表(SAS)和贝克认知洞察力量表(BCIS)的显著相关,证明其区分效度良好。第二部分组间比较的结果发现病人组以及社会快感缺失组与各自对照组之间的MAP-SR分数都存在显著差异,表明MAP-SR能够较为敏感的检测出阴性症状。综上,MAP-SR是一个可靠并且有效的能够用来评估精神分裂症病人和亚临床社会快感缺失群体的阴性症状的自评问卷。
