Confined water has been proven to be of great importance due to its pervasiveness and contribution to life and many fields of scientific ***,the control and characterization of confined water are a ***,a confined space is constructed by flexibly changing the pH of a graphene oxide dispersion under the self-assembly process of a graphene hydrogel(GH),and the confined space is adjusted with variation from 10.04 to 3.52 *** water content in GH increases when the pore diameter of the confined space decreases;the corresponding adsorption capacity increases from 243.04 to 442.91 mg g−***,attenuated total reflectance Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy and Raman spectroscopy are utilized to analyze the hydrogen bonding structure qualitatively and quantitatively,and correlation analysis reveals that the improvement in the adsorption capacity is caused by incomplete hydrogen bonding in the confined ***,confined water is assembled into four typical porous commercial adsorbents,and a remarkable enhancement of the adsorption capacity is *** research demonstrates the application potential for the extraordinary properties of confined water and has implications for the development of highly effective confined water-modified adsorbents.

Transparent and anti-fogging AlPO_(4)-5 films constructed by oblique oriented nano-flake crystals

In the present work,transparent and anti-fogging AlPO_(4)-5 films were prepared on glass substrates using a novel developed *** process entails a simple in-situ sol–gel followed by vapor phase *** in-situ sol–gel process was implemented by coating the precursor sols for the synthesis of AlPO4-5 on the glass substrates successively using the spin-coating *** films and powders scribed from the films were characterized by X-Ray diffraction(XRD),Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy(FT-IR),scanning electron microscope(SEM),atomic force microscope(AFM),X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy and transmission electron microscope(TEM).The unique films were composed of oblique oriented nanoflake AlPO_(4)-5 crystals with the thickness of about 20 *** formation of nano-flake crystals can be ascribed to the high concentration of the precursors,resulting in the formation of a supersaturation *** obtained films showed high antifogging performance due to the superhydrophilicity with a water contact angle of lower than 1.0°.The silicone oil contact angle was also low about 8.2°.In addition,heteroatom-substituted AlPO_(4)-5 films showing different colors can be obtained easily by simply adding transition metal ions in the phosphate acid solution during the preparation that can extend the application of the method for different coating demand.

Primary hepatic epithelioid angiomyolipoma: A malignant potential tumor which should be recognized

AIM: To improve the clinical diagnosis and recognition of hepatic epithelioid angiomyolipoma(HEAML).METHODS: Four cases of primary HEAML were confirmed based on the pathology archive system in our hospital from January 2009 to November 2015. The general state, clinical symptoms, imaging manifestations, histological results and immunohistochemistry of these patients were retrospectively reviewed and analyzed. Studies of HEAML published in the last 15 years were collected from Pub Med and MEDLINE to summarize the clinical symptoms, imaging characteristics, pathological features and management of ***: Four cases of primary HEAML were retrieved from our archives. These included three female patients and one male patient, with a mean age of 41.8 ± 11.5 years(ranging from 31 to 56 years). The meantumor size was 7.3 ± 5.5 cm(ranging from 3.0 to 15 cm). In the contrast-enhanced imaging, the tumor was obviously enhanced in the arterial phase, but enhanced continuously or exhibited a slow-density masse during the venous and delayed phases. Histologically, the tumors mainly consisted of epithelioid cells that comprised approximately 95% of the total neoplastic mass. Although no metastases occurred in our patients, pathological studies revealed necrosis, mitotic figures and liver invasion in two patients, which indicates aggressive behavior. Immunohistochemical staining revealed that human melanoma black 45(HMB-45) and Melan-A were positive in 4 cases. We only identified 81 cases with primary HEAML, including our present patients, from 26 articles available from Pub Med and MEDLINE. The majority of the papers were published as case reports. Only 5(5/75, 6%) cases were associated with tuberous sclerosis complex(TSC). More than half(35/66) were discovered incidentally upon physical examination. Stability analysis of hydro-turbine governing system based on machine learning

Hydro-turbine governing system is a time-varying complex system with strong non-linearity,and its dynamic characteristics are jointly affected by hydraulic,mechanical,electrical,and other *** at the stability of the hydroturbine governing system,this paper first builds a dynamic model of the hydro-turbine governing system through mechanism modeling,and introduces the transfer coefficient characteristics under different load conditions to obtain the stability category of the *** neural network is used to perform the machine study and the predictive analysis of the stability of the system under different working conditions is carried out by using the additional momentum method to optimize the *** test set results show that the method can accurately distinguish the stability category of the hydro-turbine governing system(HTGS),and the research results can provide a theoretical reference for the operation and management of smart hydropower stations in the future.

Evaluation of toppling rock slopes using a composite cloud model with DEMATEL–CRITIC method

Safety evaluation of toppling rock slopes developing in reservoir areas is crucial. To reduce the uncertainty of safety evaluation, this study developed a composite cloud model, which improved the combination weights of the decision-making trial and evaluation laboratory (DEMATEL) and criteria importance through intercriteria correlation (CRITIC) methods. A safety evaluation system was developed according to in situ monitoring data. The backward cloud generator was used to calculate the numerical characteristics of a cloud model of quantitative indices, and different virtual clouds were used to synthesize some clouds into a generalized one. The synthesized numerical characteristics were calculated to comprehensively evaluate the safety of toppling rock slopes. A case study of a toppling rock slope near the Huangdeng Hydropower Station in China was conducted using monitoring data collected since operation of the hydropower project began. The results indicated that the toppling rock slope was moderately safe with a low safety margin. The composite cloud model considers the fuzziness and randomness of safety evaluation and enables interchange between qualitative and quantitative knowledge. This study provides a new theoretical method for evaluating the safety of toppling rock slopes. It can aid in the predication, control, and even prevention of disasters.

Metal-organic frameworks(MOFs)and their pyrolytic derivates,displaying diverse chemical compositions and microstructures,pro-vide the infinite potential for preparing high-performance microwave absorption materials(MAMs)and have attracted extensive *** this review,we systematically reviewed the recent progress of MOF-based MAMs,including three types of MOF-based MAMs(MOF-derived metal/carbon nanocomposites,MOF-based hybridization materials and conductive MOF).Besides that,the microwave absorption properties and their related physical and chemical appearance were also *** behalf of synergistic effects between microstructures,dielectric components and magnetic response,the MOF-based MAMs show excellent microwave absorption performance,which is superior to that of traditional single metal,metal alloy and pure carbon-based ***-more,the novel conductive MOF with tunable electrical conductivity shows great potential in MAMs due to the fact that it can dra-matically simplify the synthesis process.

Synchronous occurrence of gastric cancer and gastrointestinal stromal tumor: A case report and review of the literature

BACKGROUND To evaluate the clinicopathological features and prognosis of gastric cancer(GC)occurring synchronously with gastrointestinal stromal tumor(GIST).CASE SUMMARY We report 19 patients with concurrent GC and GIST(17 male and 2 female,median age 62 years).GC was most often located in the lower third of the *** was diagnosed preoperatively in four *** was most often located in the gastric body(n=8,42%).The most common growth pattern in GIST was extraluminal(n=12,63%).The positive expression rates of CD117 and CD34 in GIST were 100% and 95%,*** patients with GIST(n=17,89%)were very low or low *** was no recurrence of GIST during *** 3-year cumulative survival rate was 73.9%,and the 5-year cumulative survival rate was 59.2%.The combined analysis of this study and literature reports(47 reports,157 patients)found that GC and GIST were usually located in the lower third(42%)and middle third(51%)of the *** was usually early(stage I:42%),poorly differentiated(42%)intestinal-type adenocarcinoma(51%).GISTs were primarily small in diameter(median:1.2 cm)and very low or low risk(89%).CONCLUSION Synchronous GC and GIST may not be *** have specific clinicopathological characteristics,and may have mutual inhibition in pathogenesis and progression.

Acetylglutamate kinase is required for both gametophyte function and embryo development in Arabidopsis thaliana

The specific functions of the genes encoding arginine biosynthesis enzymes in plants are not well characterized. We report the isolation and characterization of Arabidopsis thaliana N-acetylglutamate kinase （NAGK）, which catalyzes the second step of arginine biosynthesis. NAGK is a plastid-localized protein and is expressed during most developmental processes in Arabidopsis. Heterologous expression of the Arabidopsis NAGK gene in a NAGK-deficient Escherichia coli strain fully restores bacterial growth on arginine-deficient medium, nagk mutant pollen tubes grow more slowly than wild type pollen tubes and the phenotype is restored by either specifically through complementation by NAGK in pollen, or exogenous supplementation of arginine, nagk female gametophytes are defective in micropylar pollen tube guidance due to the fact that female gametophyte cell fate specification was specifically affected. Expression of NAGK in synergid cells rescues the defect of nagk female gametophytes. Loss- of-function of NAGK results in Arabidopsis embryos not developing beyond the four-celled embryo stage. The embryo-defective phenotype in nagk/NAGK plants cannot be rescued by watering nagk/NAGK plants with arginine or ornithine supplementation. In conclusion, our results reveal a novel role of NAGK and arginine in regulating gametophyte function and embryo development, and provide valuable insights into arginine transport during embryo development.

Meat quality traits of four Chinese indigenous chicken breeds and one commercial broiler stock

Meat quality traits of four genotypes of Chinese indigenous chicken [Ninghai chicken(NC),frizzle chicken(FC),Ninghai xiang chicken(XC),and Zhenning loquat chicken(LC)] and one genotype of commercial broiler [Arbor Acres plus broiler(AAB)] were *** indigenous chickens were raised before the commercial chickens in order to achieve the same final processed *** chickens of NC,FC,XC,and LC showed significantly higher inosine-5′-monophosphate(IMP) content,shorter fiber diameter,and lower shear force than those of AAB(P0.05).The indigenous chickens from FC displayed the highest total lipid content in the five bird genotypes(P<0.05).Significant differences of pH,color values of L* and a*,and drip loss for the five genotypes of birds were also *** conclusion,there were significant differences in the meat quality traits of the bird breeds selected in this study,and the indigenous chickens,especially the NC genotype,produced better quality meat as far as the IMP content,fiber diameters,and shear forces were concerned.

Shielding performance of metal fiber composites

Metal fibers have been applied to construct composites with desirable electromagnetic interference shiel ding effectiveness and mechanical properties. Copper and stainless steel fibers were prepared with micro-saw fiberpulling combined cutting method. The cross section of the fibers is hook-like, which is beneficial to the improvement of bonding strength. Cement-based composites with copper and stainless steel fibers were fabricated and their electromagnetic shielding effectiveness was measured in the frequency range of 1 - 5 GHz. The results show that the electromagnetic interference shielding effectiveness of those composites is enhanced by the addition of metal fibers,which functions mainly due to the absorption. At some frequencies, 20 dB or more difference is obtained between the materials with and without metal fibers.
