Bilateral effect of acupuncture on cerebrum and cerebellum in ischaemic stroke patients with hemiparesis:a randomised clinical and neuroimaging trial

Background Acupuncture involving the limb region may be effective for stroke rehabilitation clinically,but the visualised and explanatory evidence is *** objectives were to assess the specific effects of acupuncture for ischaemic stroke(IS)patients with hemiparesis and investigate its therapy-driven modification in functional *** IS patients were randomly assigned(2:1)to receive 10 sessions of hand-foot 12 needles acupuncture(HA,n=30)or non-acupoint(NA)acupuncture(n=16),enrolling gender-matched and age-matched healthy controls(HCs,n=34).The clinical outcomes were the improved Fugl-Meyer Assessment scores including upper and lower extremity(ΔFM,ΔFM-UE,ΔFM-LE).The neuroimaging outcome was voxel-mirrored homotopic connectivity(VMHC).Static and dynamic functional connectivity(sFC,DFC)analyses were used to study the neuroplasticity *** 46 ISs(mean(SD)age,59.37(11.36)years)and 34 HCs(mean(SD)age,52.88(9.69)years)were included in the per-protocol analysis of clinical and *** clinical,ΔFM scores were 5.00 in HA group and 2.50 in NA group,with a dual correlation betweenΔFM andΔVMHC(angular:r=0.696,p=0.000;cerebellum:r=-0.716,p=0.000)fitting the linear regression model(R2=0.828).In neuroimaging,ISs demonstrated decreased VMHC in bilateral postcentral gyrus and cerebellum(Gaussian random field,GRF corrected,voxel p<0.001,cluster p<0.05),which fitted the logistic regression model(AUC=0.8413,accuracy=0.7500).Following acupuncture,VMHC in bilateral superior frontal gyrus orbital part was increased with cerebro-cerebellar changes,involving higher sFC between ipsilesional superior frontal gyrus orbital part and the contralesional orbitofrontal cortex as well as cerebellum(GRF corrected,voxel p<0.001,cluster p<0.05).The coefficient of variation of VMHC was decreased in bilateral posterior cingulate gyrus(PPC)locally(GRF corrected,voxel p<0.001,cluster p<0.05),with integration states transforming into segregation states overall(

This paper concerns ultimately bounded output-feedback control problems for networked systems with unknown nonlinear dynamics. Sensor-to-observer signal transmission is facilitated over networks that has communication *** transmissions are carried out over an unreliable communication channel. In order to enhance the utilization rate of measurement data, a buffer-aided strategy is novelly employed to store historical measurements when communication networks are inaccessible. Using the neural network technique, a novel observer-based controller is introduced to address effects of signal transmission behaviors and unknown nonlinear *** the application of stochastic analysis and Lyapunov stability, a joint framework is constructed for analyzing resultant system performance under the introduced controller. Subsequently, existence conditions for the desired output-feedback controller are delineated. The required parameters for the observerbased controller are then determined by resolving some specific matrix inequalities. Finally, a simulation example is showcased to confirm method efficacy.

The shuttle effect of lithium polysulfides(LiPSs)and their sluggish kinetic processes lead to rapid capacity fading and poor cycling stability in lithium-sulfur(Li-S)batteries,limiting their commercial *** study proposes a functionalized separator with adsorption and synergistic catalysis ability for Li-S *** modified separator comprises Ti_(3)C_(2)T_(x) sheets,CoO,and MoO_(3).Experimental and theoretical calculations demonstrate that Ti_(3)C_(2)T_(x)/CoO/MoO_(3) composite not only effectively inhibits the shuttle effect of LiPSs,ensuring efficient utilization of active materials,but also enhances reversibility and reaction kinetics among *** full exposure of active sites in the Ti_(3)C_(2)T_(x)/CoO/MoO_(3) composite and the synergistic action of different catalysts enable efficient capture and conversion of LiPSs molecules at the material ***,the lithium-sulfur batteries with Ti_(3)C_(2)T_(x)/CoO/MoO_(3)@PP separator exhibited only a 0.042%capacity decay per cycle at 0.5 C(800 cycles).Moreover,a high areal capacity of 6.85 mAh cm-2 was achieved at high sulfur loading(7.9 mg cm-2)and low electrolyte-to-sulfur ratio(10μL mg-1).

Photothermal therapy(PTT)has been widely used in the treatment of tumors,but its efficacy is greatly limited by the inability of precise drug delivery and the increase of heat shock proteins(HSPs)caused by high *** article describes a therapeutic strategy to enhance PTT with starvation therapy in conjunction with ferroptosis mechanism.A nanoparticle platform ZIF-8@GA was constructed by wrapping together glucose oxidase(GOX)and gold nanospheres(AuNPs)loaded with dihydroartemisinin(DHA)with zeolitic imidazolate framework-8(ZIF-8).This platform can take advantage of the micro-environment of osteosarcoma(OS)cells,featuring low pH and high reactive oxygen species(ROS),for precision drug *** can effectively catalyze glucose to produce gluconic acid and H_(2)O_(2),and DHA can also induce ROS production in OS *** produced by GOX and DHA can further generate lipid peroxidation(LPO)and lead to ferroptosis of OS *** the same time,ROS and LPO produced can inhibit the expression of HSPs,thereby increasing the therapeutic effect of *** vitro experiments show that the nanoparticles are pH and ROS responsive.1μg/mL GOX combined with 0.2μg/mL DHA promotes ferroptosis of OS cells,and increases the killing effect of near-infrared(NIR)on OS *** in vivo experiments showed that the nano drug-delivery platform combined with PTT can effectively inhibit the growth of OS ***,this study provides a new idea for the treatment of OS with biomaterials combined with various treatment methods.
