Arsenic(As) fate in paddy fields has been one of the most significant current issues due to the strong As accumulation potential of rice plants under fooded conditions. However,no attempt was done to explore As methylation and volatilization under non-fooded conditions. Herein, we investigated the effects of water management on As methylation and volatilization in three arsenic-contaminated soils enhanced by biostimulation with strawderived organic matter and bioaugmentation with genetic engineered Pseudomonas putida KT2440(gE P. putida). Under fooded conditions, the application of biochar(BC), rice straw(RS)and their combination(BC+RS) increased total As in porewater. However, these effects were greatly attenuated under non-fooded conditions. Compared with RS amendment alone, the combination of gE P. putida and RS further promoted the As methylation and volatilization,and the promotion percentage under non-fooded conditions were significantly higher than that under fooded conditions. The combined gE P. putida and RS showed the highest efficiency in As methylation(88 μg/L) and volatilization(415.4 μg/(kg·year)) in the non-fooded soil with moderate As contamination. Finally, stepwise multiple linear regression analysis presented that methylated As, DOC and p H in porewater were the most important factors contributing to As volatilization. Overall, our findings suggest that combination of bioaugmentation with gE P. putida and biostimulation with RS/BC+RS is a potential strategy for bioremediation of arsenic-contaminated soils by enhancing As methylation and volatilization under non-fooded conditions.

It is a challenge to make thorough but efficient experimental designs for the coupled mineral dissolution and precipitation studies in a multi-mineral system, because it is difficult to speculate the best experimental duration, optimal sampling schedule, effects of different experimental conditions, and how to maximize the experimental outputs prior to the actual experiments. geochemical modeling is an efficient and effective tool to assist the experimental design by virtually running all scenarios of interest for the studied system and predicting the experimental outcomes. Here we demonstrated an example of geochemical modeling assisted experimental design of coupled labradorite dissolution and calcite and clayey mineral precipitation using multiple isotope tracers. In this study, labradorite(plagioclase) was chosen as the reactant because it is both a major component and one of the most reactive minerals in basalt. Following our isotope doping studies of single minerals in the last ten years, initial solutions in the simulations were doped withmultiple isotopes(e.g., Ca and Si). geochemical modeling results show that the use of isotope tracers gives us orders of magnitude more sensitivity than the conventional method based on concentrations and allows us to decouple dissolution and precipitation reactions at near-equilibrium condition. The simulations suggest that the precise unidirectional dissolution rates can inform us which rate laws plagioclase dissolution has followed. Calcite precipitation occurred at near-equilibrium and the multiple isotope tracer experiments would provide near-equilibrium precipitation rates, which was a challenge for the conventional concentration-based experiments. In addition, whether the precipitation of clayey phases is the rate-limiting step in some multi-mineral systems will be revealed. The mixing of powders is a highly relevant field under additive manufacturing,however,it has attracted limited interest to *** in-situ mixing of various powders remains a significant *** paper proposes a new method utilizing a static mixer for the in-situ mixing of multiple powders through the laser-based directed energy deposition(DED)of functionally graded ***,a powder-mixing experimental platform was established;WC and 316L powders were selected for the mixing ***,scanning electron microscopy,energy dispersive spectroscopy,and image processing were used to visually evaluate the homogeneity and proportion of the in-situ mixed ***,powder-mixing simulations were conducted to determine the powder-mixing *** the simulations,a powder carrier gas flow field and particle mixing were ***,a WC/316L metal matrix composite sample was produced using laser-based DED to verify the application potential of the static *** was found that the static mixer could adjust the powder ratio online,and a response time of 1–2 s should be considered when adjusting the ratio of the mixed powder.A feasible approach for in-situ powder mixing for laser-based DED was demonstrated and investigated,creating the basis for functionally graded materials.

Time series anomaly detection is crucial in various industrial applications to identify unusual behaviors within the time series *** to the challenges associated with annotating anomaly events,time series reconstruction has become a prevalent approach for unsupervised anomaly ***,effectively learning representations and achieving accurate detection results remain challenging due to the intricate temporal patterns and dependencies in real-world time *** this paper,we propose a cross-dimension attentive feature fusion network for time series anomaly detection,referred to as ***,a series and feature mixing block is introduced to learn representations in 1D ***,a fast Fourier transform is employed to convert the time series into 2D space,providing the capability for 2D feature ***,a cross-dimension attentive feature fusion mechanism is designed that adaptively integrates features across different dimensions for anomaly *** results on real-world time series datasets demonstrate that CAFFN performs better than other competing methods in time series anomaly detection.

The turbulent deposition mechanism is one of the main mechanisms of aerosol deposition in nuclear power plant *** experimental study of poly-disperse aerosol deposition in a horizontal tube is conducted,where the nominal Reynolds number(Re)is in a range of 3600–200,*** aerosol deposition velocity first increases and then decreases with the increase of Res,and at high Re,particle rebound occurs during aerosol deposition in the *** the Re is low,the aerosol deposition velocity increases with the increase of aerosol *** the Re is greater than 60,000,the deposition velocity first increases and then decreases with the increase of aerosol diameter due to particle surface rebound.A new aerosol deposition model has been developed by establishing the energy conservation equation of the rebounded particles in the viscous *** calculated results of the new model are in good agreement with these experimental results,and the error between the aerosol deposition velocity calculated by the model and experimental results is between−60%and 150%.

Stable hydrogen isoscape in precipitation generated using data fusion for East China

The stable hydrogen isotope in precipitation is an effective environmental tracer for climatic and hydrologic ***, accurate and high-precision precipitation hydrogen isoscapes are currently unavailable in China. In this study, a data fusion method based on Convolutional Neural Networks（CNN） is used to fuse the hydrogen isotopic composition（δ2Hp） of observations and isotope-equipped general circulation model（igCM） simulations. A precipitation hydrogen isoscape with a temporal resolution of monthly and a spatial resolution of 50–60 km is established for East China for the 1969–2017 period. Prior to building the isoscape, the performance of three data fusion methods（DFMs） and two bias correction methods（BCMs） is compared. The results indicate that the CNN fusion method performs the best with a correlation coefficient larger than 0.90 and root mean square error smaller than 10.5‰ when using observation as a benchmark. The fusion methods based on back propagation and long short-term memory neural network perform similarly, while slightly outperforming the bias correction methods. Thus, the CNN method is used to generate the hydrogen isoscape, and the temporal and spatial distribution characteristics of the hydrogen isotope in precipitation are analyzed based on this dataset. The generated isoscape shows similar spatial and temporal distribution characteristics to observations. In general, the distribution pattern of δ2Hpis consistent with the temperature effect in northern China, and consistent with the precipitation amount effect in southern China. The trend of the δ2Hptime series is consistent with that of observed precipitation and temperature. Overall, the generated isoscape effectively reproduces the observations, and has the characteristics of time continuity and relative spatial regularity, which can provide valuable data support for tracking atmospheric and hydrological processes.

The simulation of radio frequency interference(RFI) cancellation by applying a spatial filtering technique for phased array feed(PAF) is presented. In order to better reflect the characteristics of PAF, a new signal model is to add the coupling coefficient among elements of PAF to the conventional array signal model. Then the subspace projection(SP) algorithm is used to cancel RFI from the correlation matrix of the signal, and finally, the 2D power image is drawn. The power variation of signal-of-interest direction and RFI direction before and after using the SP algorithm is analyzed. The new signal model and simulation strategy can be used to test and verify the beamformer.
