Fabrication， characterization， antihypertensive effect and potential mechanisms of a novel angiotensin I-converting enzyme inhibitory peptide derived from garlic by-products

The valorisation of vegetable by-products is a promising strategy to combat climate change and achieve global carbon neutrality goals. This study aimed to exploit the high-value utilization of garlic by-products and to investigate the antihypertensive effects and potential mechanisms of the resulting angiotensin-converting enzyme （ACE）1.nhibitory peptides. After protein extraction， enzymatic hydrolysis， and activity-directed fractionation， a potent and highly stable ACE inhibitory peptide (IC50value: 31.38 μmol/L) was obtained， which was identified as VWAS and acted as a competitive inhibitor. VWAS stably bound to key residues in the ACE active center mainly through hydrogen bonding interactions and effectively lowered blood pressure in spontaneously hypertensive rats via alleviating renal and cardiac injuries， improving endothelial dysfunction， and regulating the renal renin-angiotensin system， antioxidant system， and anti-inflammatory system. These findings suggested that garlic protein-derived peptide （VWAS） was a desirable candidate for antihypertensive functional foods and provided guidance for the high-value utilization of garlic by-products.

An anion-rich electric double layer(EDL)region is favorable for fabricating an inorganic-rich solid-electrolyte interphase(SEI)towards stable lithium metal anode in ester ***,cetyltrimethylammonium bromide(CTAB),a cationic surfactant,is adopted to draw more anions into EDL by ionic interactions that shield the repelling force on anions during lithium *** situ electrochemical surface-enhanced Raman spectroscopy results combined with molecular dynamics simulations validate the enrichment of NO_(3)^(−)/FSI−anions in the EDL region due to the positively charged CTA^(+).In-depth analysis of SEI structure by X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy and time-of-flight secondary ion mass spectrometry results confirmed the formation of the inorganic-rich SEI,which helps improve the kinetics of Li^(+)transfer,lower the charge transfer activation energy,and homogenize Li *** a result,the Li||Li symmetric cell in the designed electrolyte displays a prolongated cycling time from 500 to 1.00 h compared to that in the blank electrolyte at 0.5 mA cm^(-2) with a capacity of 1.mAh cm^(-2).Moreover,Li||LiFePO_(4) and Li||LiCoO_(2) with a high cathode mass loading of>1. mg cm^(-2) can be stably cycled over 1.0 cycles.

Using the slow highly charged ions 1.9 Xe q+ (q=25,26,27;initial kinetic T0≤4.65 keV/a.u.)to impact Au surface,the Au atomic Mαcharacteristic X-ray spectrum is *** result shows that as long as the charge state of projectile is high enough,the heavy atomic characteristic X-ray can be effectively excited even though the incident beam is very weak(nA magnitude),and the X-ray yield per ion is in the order of 1.-8and increases with the kinetic energy and potential energy of *** measuring the Au Mα-X-ray spectra,Au atomic N-level lifetime is estimated at about 1.33×1.-1.s based on Heisenberg uncertainty relation.

Aim:To purify and characterize the coagulant protein FIa from Daboia russellisiamensis (Myanmar) ***:FIa was purified from Daboia russellisiamensis (Myanmar) venom by ion-exchange chromatography on CM-SephadexC-50,and gel filtration on Sephadex G-75 and a Superdex 75 *** hemo-static activity of FIa was determined by the method of Williams and *** chromogenic substrates were used respectively to determine the activa-tion of factor X and *** fibrinogen-clotting activity of FIa wasdetermined by the method of Gao et *** saline was used as a negativecontrol while factor Xa and thrombin were used as positive controls,***:FIa,a coagulant protein,was achieved by ion-exchange chromatogra-phy and gel filtration with a molecular weight of 34 479 and an isoelectric point *** was shown to have strong hemostatic *** hemostatic activity of0.5 mg FIa was equal to that of 1.5625 u *** primarily activated factor X,however,had no influence on prothrombin,nor did it cleave or clot ***:FIa is a factor X-activating enzyme,which could activate factor X tofactor Xa,but has no effect on prothrombin and fibrinogen.

This paper reports on the synthesis of the nanocrystalline FeS2 via a solvent-thermal process. Using FeSO4 and NH2CSNH2 as precursors and polyvinyl- pyrrolidone (PVP) as a protective agent (dispersant), we have successfully synthesized nanocrystalline FeS2 both under acidic conditions (pH = 5) and under alkali conditions (pH = 1.) at various temperatures and for different time in alcohol-water solution. X-ray diffraction (XRD), Transmission electron microscopy (TEM) and Ultraviolet Visible (UV-VIS) spectroscopy were used to characterize the morphology, structure, particle size and optical characterization of sample synthesized under acidic condition, and the XRD pattern was refined by Rietveld method. The experimental result shows that nanocrystalline FeS2 with uniform size, highly crystallized quality and excellent dispersivity has been synthesized at 200℃for 36 h.

The bulk parameters characterizing the energy of symmetric nuclear matter and the symmetry energy defined at normal nuclear density ρ0 provide important information on the equation of state (EOS) of isospin asymmetric nuclear matter. While significant progress has been made in determining some lower order bulk characteristic parameters, such as the energy E0(ρ0) and incompress ibility K0 of symmetric nuclear matter as well as the symmetry energy Esym(ρ0) and its slope parameter L, yet the higher order bulk characteristic parameters are still poorly known. Here, we analyze the correlations between the lower and higher order bulk char acteristic parameters within the framework of Skyrme Hartree-Fock energy density functional and then estimate the values of some higher order bulk characteristic parameters. In particular, we obtain J0 = (-355±95) MeV and I0 = (1.73±680) MeV for the third order and fourth-order derivative parameters of symmetric nuclear matter at ρ0 and Ksym = (-1.0 ± 1.5) MeV, Jsym = (224 ± 385) MeV, Isym = (-1.09 ± 2025) MeV for the curvature parameter, third-order and fourth-order derivative parameters of the symmetry energy at ρ0, using the empirical constraints on E0(ρ0), K0, Esym(ρ0), L, and the isoscalar and isovector nucleon effective masses. Furthermore, our results indicate that the three parameters E0(ρ0), K0, and J0 can reasonably characterize the EOS of symmetric nuclear matter up to 2ρ0 while the symmetry energy up to 2ρ0 can be well described by Esym(ρ0), L, and Ksym.

Identifying strong lensing gravitational wave(SLGW)events is of utmost importance in astrophysics as we approach the historic first detection of SLGW amidst the growing number of gravitational wave(GW)***,one crucial method for identifying SLGW signals involves assessing the overlap of parameters between two ***,the distribution of discrete matter,such as stars and sub-halos,within the strong lensing galaxy can imprint a wave optical(WO)effect on the SLGW *** frequency dependent imprints introduce biases in parameter estimation and impact SLGW *** this study,we assess the influence of the stellar microlensing field embedded in a strong lensing *** findings demonstrate that the WO effect reduces the detection efficiency of SLGW by 5%-50%for various false alarm probabilities per pair(FAPper pair).Specifically,at an FAPper pairof 1.^(-5),the detection efficiency decreases from~1.%to~5%.Consequently,the presence of the microlensing field can result in missing half of the strong lensing ***,the microlensing WO effect introduces a noticeable bias in intrinsic parameters,particularly for chirp mass and mass ***,it has tiny influence on extrinsic *** all parameters,~30%of events exhibit a 1.parameter bias,~1.%exhibit a 2σparameter bias,and~5%exhibit a 3σparameter bias.

Separated Function RFQ (SFRFQ) was proposed as a post accelerator of RFQ to accelerate heavy ions at low frequency. It introduces gap accelerating in the quadrupole electrodes, and therefore it has higher accelerating efficiency than the conventional RFQ accelerator. The first SFRFQ prototype cavity has been specially designed and constructed as a post accelerator to accelerate O+ beam from 1.03 MeV to 1.64 MeV. Based on accomplishment of low power measurement and high power test, the beam commissioning was carried out to verify its feasibility. The measured energy gain per cell of SFRFQ is 45 keV, which is about 60% higher than that of Peking University Integral Split Ring (ISR) RFQ.
