Role of Nd_2O_3 nanoparticles addition on microstructural and superconducting properties of YBa_2Cu_3O_(7–δ) ceramics

The effects of Nd2O3 nanoparticles addition on microstructure, transport and AC susceptibility properties of YBa2Cu3O7–δ（Y123） superconductors were systematically investigated using X-ray diffraction （XRD）, scanning electron micrograph （SEM）, four point probe measurement and AC spectrometer. It was found that the added samples were predominant by Y-123 phase beside small amount of Y-211 and unreacted Nd2O3secondary phases. All added samples preserved the orthorhombic structure similar to the pure sample and no orthorhombic-to-tetragonal transition occurred. The samples became more porous and their grain size significantly de-creased with addition of Nd2O3. The addition of nano-Nd2O3 disturbed the grain growth of Y123, thus resulting in the degradation of superconducting properties of the samples. The superconducting transition temperature （Tc onset） of samples decreased from 92 K for x=0.0 to 78 K forx=1.0 wt.%, which could be attributable to oxygen vacancy disorder. From AC susceptibility result, the inter- and intra-granular loss peaks became wider and broader with increase of Nd2O3 addition due to the weakening of grains coupling. On the other hand, the inter-granular critical current density,Jcm, was found to increase with Nd2O3 addition and had the highest value at x=0.6, confirming that Nd2O3 nanoparticles acted as pinning centers in Y123 matrix.

For random variables and random weights satisfying Marcinkiewicz-Zygmund and Rosenthal type moment inequalities, we establish complete convergence results for randomly weighted sums of the random variables. Our results generalize those of(Thanh et al. SIAM J. Control Optim., 49,106–124(2011), Han and Xiang J. Ineq. Appl., 2016, 313(2016), Li et al. J. Ineq. Appl., 2017, 182(2017), and Wang et al. Statistics, 52, 503–518(2018).)

To understand the function of phosphoenolpyruvate carboxylase kinase,we introduced PtPEPCK1 gene under the control of 35S promoter into 84K poplar(Populus alba×***).PtPEPCK1 gene is well-known for its role in ***,our data confi rmed that it has signifi cant eff ects on amino acid biosynthesis and nitrogen *** and fl uorescence microscopy indicate that PtPEPCK1 is specifi cally expressed in the cytoplasm of the spongy and palisade *** of PtPEPCK1 was characterized through transcriptomics and *** metabolites concentration of the ornithine cycle and its precursors also increased,of which N-acetylornithine was up-regulated almost 50-fold and ornithine *** were accompanied by a massive increase in levels of several amino ***,overexpression of PtPEPCK1 increases amino acid levels with urea cycle disorder.

Prussian blue analogues(PBAs)have gained significant popularity as cathode materials for sodium-ion batteries(SIBs)due to their remarkable features such as high capacity and convenient ***,PBAs usually suffer from kinetic problems during the electrochemical reactions due to sluggish Na~+diffusion in the large crystals,resulting in low-capacity utilization and inferior rate *** this study,we present a facile etching method aiming at activating the sodium storage sites and accelerating the Na~+transport of Na_2NiFe(CN)_6(denoted as NaNiHCF)by precisely controlling its morphologies.A progressive corner passivation phenomenon occurred in NaNiHCF during the etching process,which led to a substantial augmentation of the specific surface area as the morphology transitioned from a standard cube to a dice ***,by controlling the etching time,the obtained NaNiHCF-3 electrode exhibited boosted electrochemical performance with high reversible capacity of 83.5mAh g~(-1)(98.2%of its theoretical capacity),superior rate capability(71.2 mAh g~(-1)at 10 C),and stable cycling life-span at different *** experimental and computational methods reveal the remarkably reversible structural evolution process and improved Na~+diffusion *** believe that this work can serve as an indispensable reference to tailor the structure of PBAs to obtain improved electrochemical performance.

Formation and Characterization of Plasma Sprayed Photocatalytic TiO2- ZnO Nano- Compounded Coatings

Two kinds of TiO2-ZnO nano-compounded powders aggregated by spray-drying process and evaporation method were used to deposit photocatalytic coatings by atmospheric plasma spraying technique. The phase compositions, morphologies of the agglomerated TiO2-ZnO powders and the as-sprayed coating were characterized using X-ray diffraction (XRD) and field emission scanning electron microscope (FESEM) respectively. Furthermore, roughness measurements were carried out on their surfaces of the plasma sprayed TiO2-ZnO nano-comPounded coatings. Compared with the TiO2ZnO nano-compounded coating deposited from the spray-dried powder, it was found that the TiO2-ZnO nano-compounded coating deposited from the evaporated powder possesses higher anatase phase. It is ascribed to the existing of partially melted or non-melted microstructure in the TiO2-ZnO coating deposited from the evaporated powder. The partially-meltedor non-melted microstructure was retained from the starting agglomerated powder. This microstructure is beneficial to improve the photocatalytic properties of plasma sprayed TiO2-ZnO nano-compounded coatings.

3D printed leech-inspired origami dry electrodes for electrophysiology sensing robots

In this study,based on inspiration drawn from origami and the suction mechanism of leeches,a dry electrode is developed for reliable blood pressure(BP)*** leech-inspired suction mechanism generated a local soft vacuum facilitating appropriate contact with the human ***,an electrocardiogram(ECG)sensor,termed a leech-inspired origami(LIO)sensor,was constructed using the developed dry *** LIO with a sensing robot system ensures reliable ECG signals with a signal-to-noise ratio of 21.7±0.56 *** the paired detection of ECG and photoplethysmography(PPG)through human-robot interaction,BP monitoring was *** average difference of the systolic BP between that estimated by the sensing robot and that monitored by the sphygmomanometer was 0.03 mmHg,indicating the reliable BP monitoring ability of the sensing *** LIO sensing system inspired by origami and leech behaviors makes BP sensing tools feasible,which in turn would further the development of a remote healthcare monitoring robotic system.

How Effective are Decentralized Anti-poverty Programs?

This study examines the effectiveness of China's National Poor Counties(NPC)program,a decentralized anti-poverty initiative,by analyzing five rounds of individual-level panel data from 1988 to *** impact of two waves of the NPC program(1994 and 2001)is evaluated utilizing a panel fixed-effects regression *** results indicate substantial positive effects,with residents in NPC counties experiencing a 47 percent income increase,3.1 percent higher employment rates,and a 5.7 percent rise in household expenditure from 1988 to 2008,in comparison with non-NPC ***,the program benefited vulnerable populations,dispelling concerns about"elite capture."The study also reveals that evolving policy focus has played a pivotal role in sustaining the effects of the program over *** 1994 round prioritized low-skilled employment,and the 2001 wave emphasized productivity enhancement through skills *** findings highlight the continued efficacy of decentralized anti-povertyefforts.
