Confined Mn^(2+) enables effective aerobic oxidation catalysis

Effective and mild activation of O_(2) is essential but challenging for aerobic oxidation. In heterogeneous catalysis, high-valence manganese oxide(e.g., +4) is known to be active for the oxidation, whereas divalent MnO is ineffective due to its limited capacity to supply surface oxygen and its thermodynamically unstable structure when binding O_(2) in reaction conditions. Inspired by natural enzymes that rely on divalent Mn^(2+), we discovered that confining Mn^(2+) onto the Mn_(2)O_(3) surface through a dedicated calcination process creates highly active catalysts for the aerobic oxidation of 5-hydroxymethylfurfural, benzyl alcohol, and *** Mn_(2)O_(3)-confined Mn^(2+) is undercoordinated and efficiently mediates O_(2) activation, resulting in 2–3 orders of magnitude higher activity than Mn_(2)O_(3) alone. Through low-temperature infrared spectroscopy, we distinguished low-content Mn^(2+) sites at Mn_(2)O_(3) surface, which are difficult to be differentiated by X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy. The combination of in-situ energydispersive X-ray absorption spectroscopy and X-ray diffraction further provides insights into the formation of the newly identified active Mn^(2+) sites. By optimizing the calcination step, we were able to increase the catalytic activity threefold *** finding offers promising frontiers for exploring active oxidation catalysts by utilizing the confinement of Mn^(2+)and oftenignored calcination skills.

Objective:Patients with untreated severe aortic regurgitation(AR)have a high risk of *** transcatheter aortic valve replacement(TF-TAVR)is a treatment option for AR;however,the safety and efficacy of this technique have not been sufficiently *** study aimed to evaluate the clinical and anatomical variables correlating with device success of TF-TAVR using a self-expanding valve system for pure ***:Patients with pure native severe AR who underwent TF-TAVR using a self-expanding valve system were registered at 5 Chinese *** primary endpoint was device success at 1 month after *** secondary endpoint was the composite of major adverse cardiovascular events(MACE)at 6 months,including all-cause death,ischemic stroke,emergency conversion to cardiac surgery,and permanent pacemaker *** was used to analyze the left ventricular function before the TAVR procedure and during *** logistic regression and Cox regression analyses were performed to find relevant independent risk ***:Between September 2019 and February 2022,79 patients with AR were enrolled in the *** 1 month,device success was achieved in 60(75.9%)*** 6 months,29(36.7%)patients had *** revealed improved left ventricular function after *** regression analysis demonstrated that the Society of Thoracic Surgeons risk score(odds ratio 0.760,95%confidence interval(Cl):0.584-0.989;P=0.041)and annulus perimeter(odds ratio 0.888,95%Cl:0.796-0.992;P=0.035)were 2 predictors of device ***,annulus perimeter(<80.2mm),but not Society of Thoracic Surgeons risk score,was associated with a significant reduction in MACE at 6 months(hazard ratio 2.223,95%Cl:1.060-4.659;P=0.028).Conclusions:TF-TAVR using a self-expanding valve system appears to be a safe and feasible treatment for patients with pure native severe AR,particularly those with a less enlarged annulus.

基于纳米金团簇(AuNCs)良好的光学稳定性、生物相容性和简单无毒的制备方法,开发了一种具有高度选择性、高灵敏度且可视化的尿酸(UA)传感器。使用牛血清白蛋白(BSA)作为模板合成了BSA-AuNCs。在尿酸氧化酶的催化下,UA产生化学计量的过氧化氢(H_(2)O_(2)),导致AuNCs的荧光猝灭。此外,发现BSA-AuNCs在该体系模拟过氧化物酶发挥酶活性,它可以催化产物H_(2)O_(2)将底物3,3’,5,5’-四甲基联苯胺(3,3’,5,5’-tetramethylbenzidine,TMB)氧化成ox-TMB,此时BSA-AuNCs的发射光谱与ox-TMB的吸收光谱重叠,发生了一种荧光共振能量转移(FRET)。BSA-AuNCs作为供体将激发能量转移到受体ox-TMB,使ox-TMB产生荧光,同时BSA-AuNCs的荧光强度明显低于单独存在时的强度,从而大大提高了UA检测的灵敏度。在最佳条件下,发现UA浓度在2~100μmol·L-1猝灭程度线性关系良好,线性方程为(F 0-F)/F 0=0.00585c UA+0.10364,线性相关系数为0.9954,UA的检出限为0.26μmol·L^(-1),远低于正常人体UA水平的最低限(90μmol·L^(-1)),同时研究了血液样本中UA的加标回收,回收率在97.3%~104.7%,表明了该方法在临床血样UA的检测中具有很大的应用潜力,为进一步的临床分析提供了良好的理论依据和方法学指导。

TOPK Inhibition Enhances the Sensitivity of Colorectal Cancer Cells to Radiotherapy by Reducing the DNA Damage Response

Leaf angle(LA)is a crucial factor that affects planting density and yield in ***,the regulatory mechanisms underlying LA formation remain largely *** this study,we performed a comparative histological analysis of the ligular region across various maize inbred lines and revealed that LA is significantly influenced by a two-step regulatory process involving initial cell elongation followed by subsequent lignification in the ligular adaxial sclerenchyma cells(SCs).Subsequently,we performed both bulk and single-nucleus RNA sequencing,generated a comprehensive transcriptomic atlas of the ligular region,and identified numerous genes enriched in the hypodermal cells that may influence their specialization into ***,we functionally characterized two genes encoding atypical basic-helix-loop-helix(bHLH)transcription factors,bHLH30 and its homolog bHLH155,which are highly expressed in the elongated adaxial *** analyses revealed that bHLH30 and bHLH155 positively regulate LA expansion,and molecular experiments demonstrated their ability to activate the transcription of genes involved in cell elongation and lignification of *** findings highlight the specialized functions of ligular adaxial SCs in LA regulation by restricting further extension of ligular cells and enhancing mechanical *** transcriptomic atlas of the ligular region at single-nucleus resolution not only deepens our understanding of LA regulation but also enables identification of numerous potential targets for optimizing plant architecture in modern maize breeding.

Duchenne muscular dystrophy(DMD)is a severe neuromuscular disorder caused by mutations in the dystrophin gene,which encodes the essential protein *** genetic condition,affecting approximately 1 in 5000 male births worldwide(Birnkrant et al.,2018),is characterized by progressive muscle weakness and wasting,leading to premature death in the second or third decade of life(Farini et al.,2016).The absence of dystrophin protein causes instability in the sarcolemma,which predisposes individuals to myonecrosis and activation of inflammatory signaling ***,there is currently no effective cure for DMD,and glucocorticoid steroids are commonly used in clinical settings to delay symptom development(Merlini et al.,2003).

目的:研究药品零差率政策对山东省不同规模公立三甲医院收入影响的差异,为医院后续改革和发展提供参考。方法:将医院分为大、小规模,对15家公立三甲医院信息系统2013-2019年的面板数据进行多组别间断时间序列分析。结果:小规模医院更依赖门急诊收入,大规模医院更依赖住院收入。政策实施后,大规模医院创收能力更强,收入增长加快(37.45%,P<0.001),尤其是住院方面(31.69%,P<0.001);小规模医院的住院收入增长放缓,门急诊收入未受明显影响。结论:规模不同的医院受政策的影响存在差异,大规模医院的总收入增长更快,住院创收能力更强,小规模医院的门急诊收入未受到明显影响。后续改革应加强小规模医院服务能力建设;根据门诊、住院特点设定不同的考核方式;补偿政策重点放在价格改革,继续理顺医疗机构收入结构。
