A novel proactive soft load balancing framework for ultra dense network

A major challenge for the future wireless network is to design the self-organizing architecture.The reactive self-organizing model of traditional networks needs to be transformed into an active self-organizing network.Due to the user mobility and the coverage of small cells,the network load often becomes unbalanced,resulting in poor network performance.Mobility management has become an important issue to ensure seamless communication when users move between cells,and proactive mobility management is one of the important functions of the active Self-Organizing Network(SON).This paper proposes a proactive mobility management framework for active SON,which transforms the original reactive load balancing into a forward-aware and proactive load balancing.The proposed framework firstly uses the BART model to predict the users’temporal and spatial mobility based on a weekly cycle and then formulate the MLB optimization problem based on the soft load.Two solutions are proposed to solve the above MLB problem.The simulation results show that the proposed method can better optimize the network performance and realize intelligent mobile management for the future network.

The triboelectric nanogenerator(TENG)can effectively collect energy based on contact electrification(CE)at diverse interfaces,including solid–solid,liquid–solid,liquid–liquid,gas–solid,and gas–liquid.This enables energy harvesting from sources such as water,wind,and sound.In this review,we provide an overview of the coexistence of electron and ion transfer in the CE process.We elucidate the diverse dominant mechanisms observed at different interfaces and emphasize the interconnectedness and complementary nature of interface studies.The review also offers a comprehensive summary of the factors influencing charge transfer and the advancements in interfacial modification techniques.Additionally,we highlight the wide range of applications stemming from the distinctive characteristics of charge transfer at various interfaces.Finally,this review elucidates the future opportunities and challenges that interface CE may encounter.We anticipate that this review can offer valuable insights for future research on interface CE and facilitate the continued development and industrialization of TENG.

The status of an operator’s situation awareness is one of the critical factors that influence the quality of the missions.Thus the measurement method of the situation awareness status is an important topic to research.So far,there are lots of methods designed for the measurement of situation awareness status,but there is no model that can measure it accurately in real-time,so this work is conducted to deal with such a gap.Firstly,collect the relevant physiological data of operators while they are performing a specific mission,simultaneously,measure their status of situation awareness by using the situation awareness global assessment technique(SAGAT),which is known for accuracy but cannot be used in real-time.And then,after the preprocessing of the raw data,use the physiological data as features,the SAGAT’s results as a label to train a fuzzy cognitive map(FCM),which is an explainable and powerful intelligent model.Also,a hybrid learning algorithm of particle swarm optimization(PSO)and gradient descent is proposed for the FCM training.The final results show that the learned FCM can assess the status of situation awareness accurately in real-time,and the proposed hybrid learning algorithm has better efficiency and accuracy.

Satellite-based precipitation observations with high spatiotemporal resolution are essential for studying rainfall-induced natural hazards,especially in alpine and canyon areas of the southeastern Tibetan Plateau,which are prone to such hazards yet sparsely gauged.Here,we evaluated precipitation estimated from the Chinese Fengyun-4A meteorological satellite(FY-4A AGRI)versus the Integrated Multi-satellitE Retrievals for GPM(IMERG),by using rain gauge data collected in the Parlung Zangbo Basin from May through September in both 2018 and 2019.Our results showed that(1)FY-4A AGRI generated smaller values of RMSE(root mean square error)on hourly to daily scales,and larger correlation coefficients(R-values)and smaller RMSE values for both moderate and heavy rain,indicating its greater accuracy at rainfall estimation,which is most likely due to the denser rain gauge network at a finer temporal scale used when calibrating FY-4A AGRI;(2)Both satellite products underestimated the volume of moderate and heavy rain,with the larger degree of underestimation by FY-4A AGRI,which could lower their performance in flood monitoring and forecasting;(3)Worse performance and greater inconsistency between the two products were observed in high-elevation areas,perhaps because of orographic cloud effects in these mountainous areas;and(4)Both products revealed that the Gangrigabu Range blocked incoming water vapor from the southwest monsoon,with a better representation of the spatial pattern and spatial variability produced by IMERG.To improve precipitation estimation,the effects of complex terrain should be explicitly incorporated into the retrieval algorithms,with more gauged observations in a denser network and at a finer temporal scale needed to robustly calibrate the satellite-based estimates.

OBJECTIVE:To investigate the underlying mechanism of Fanmugua(Fructus Caricae) Leaf(CPL) multicomponent synergistic therapy for anemia.METHODS:The components were identified in the literature.Six databases were searched for targets of CPL.Enrichment analysis was used to determine the targets associated with anemia and in bone marrow.Based on the Kyoto Encyclopedia of Genes and Genomes database,pathways and targets related to hematopoiesis were obtained.The key targets were obtained by protein-protein interaction analysis.Molecular docking was used to analyze the binding ability of key targets and active components.Bone marrow cells were used as an experimental model to verify the drug efficacy.RESULTS:A total of 139 components and 1868 targets of CPL were retrieved from the literature.By disease enrichment analysis,543 targets for hemorrhagic anemia,223 targets for aplastic anemia,and 126 targets for sickle cell anemia were obtained.Target organ enrichment yielded 27,29,and 20 targets of bone marrow.Based on KEGG pathway enrichment,a total of 47 shared hematopoietic pathways and 42 related targets were found.The key targets were vascular endothelial growth factor A(VEGFA),interleukin 10(IL-10),plateletendothelial cell adhesion molecule-1(PECAM1),C-C motif chemokine 2(CCL2),and vascular cell adhesion molecule 1(VCAM1).The CPL active components included ursolic acid,quercetin,and hesperidin.The expression of VEGFA was significantly increased after CPL treatment.Quercetin and ursolic acid acted on VEGFA.Quercetin and Hesperidin acted on VCAM1.Quercetin acted on IL-10,CCL2,VCAM1,and VEGFA.Cell experiments revealed that CPL could promote the proliferation and migration of bone marrow cells.CONCLUSIONS:CPL has the synergistic efficacy of treating anemia through multiple components,targets,and pathways.

A thermoelectric aerogel of highly elastic, flame-retardant and high-temperature-resistant PEDOT:PSS/SWCNT composite is fabricated.The assembled thermoelectric generator generates a maximum output power of 400 mu W at a temperature difference of 300 K.The self-powered wearable sensing glove can achieve wide-range temperature detection, complex hand motion recognition and high-temperature warning.The intelligent fire warning system enables highly sensitive and repeatable monitoring and alarm capabilities for high-temperature fire sources. Despite notable progress in thermoelectric (TE) materials and devices, developing TE aerogels with high-temperature resistance, superior TE performance and excellent elasticity to enable self-powered high-temperature monitoring/warning in industrial and wearable applications remains a great challenge. Herein, a highly elastic, flame-retardant and high-temperature-resistant TE aerogel, made of poly(3,4-ethylenedioxythiophene):poly(styrenesulfonate)/single-walled carbon nanotube (PEDOT:PSS/SWCNT) composites, has been fabricated, displaying attractive compression-induced power factor enhancement. The as-fabricated sensors with the aerogel can achieve accurately pressure stimuli detection and wide temperature range monitoring. Subsequently, a flexible TE generator is assembled, consisting of 25 aerogels connected in series, capable of delivering a maximum output power of 400 mu W when subjected to a temperature difference of 300 K. This demonstrates its outstanding high-temperature heat harvesting capability and promising application prospects for real-time temperature monitoring on industrial high-temperature pipelines. Moreover, the designed self-powered wearable sensing glove can realize precise wide-range temperature detection, high-temperature warning and accurate recognition of human hand gestures. The aerogel-based intelligent wearable sensing system developed for firefighters demonstrates the desired self-powered and highly sensitive high-temperature fire warning capability.

The Early Permian Woniusi Flood Basalts from the Baoshan Terrane, SW China: Petrogenesis and Geodynamic Implications

The Woniusi flood basalts from the Baoshan terrane,SW China,represent a significant eruption of volcanic rocks which were linked to the Late Paleozoic rifting of the Cimmeria from the northern margin of East Gondwana.However,the precise mechanism for the formation and propagation of the rifting is still in debate.Here we report 40 Ar/39 Ar dating,whole-rock geochemistry,and Sr-Nd-Pb isotopes for the Woniusi basalts from the Baoshan terrane of SW China,with the aim of assessing if a mantle plume was related to the formation of the continent Cimmeria.40 Ar/39 Ar dating of the Woniusi basalts yielded ages of 279.3±1.1 Ma and 273.9±1.5 Ma,indicating they were emplaced during the Early Permian.Whole-rock geochemistry shows that these basalts have subalkaline tholeiitic affinity,low Ti O2(1.2-2.2 wt%),and fractionated chondrite-normalized LREE and nearly flat HREE patterns[(La/Yb)N=2.86-5.77;(Dy/Yb)N=1.21-1.49]with noticeable negative Nb and Ta anomalies on the primitive mantle-normalized trace element diagram.Theε(Nd)(t)values(-4.76 to+0.92)and high(206 Pb/204 Pb)i(18.40-18.66)along with partial melt modeling indicates that the basalts were likely derived from a sub-continental lithospheric mantle(SCLM)source metasomatized by subduction-related processes.On the basis of a similar emplacement age to the Panjal basalts and Qiangtang mafic dykes and flood basalts in the Himalayas,combined with a tectonic reconstruction of Gondwana in the Early Permian,we propose that the large-scale eruption of these basalts and dykes was related to an Early Permian mantle plume that possibly initiated the rifting on the northern margin of East Gondwana.

Empathy is traditionally thought to be a unique ability of humans to feel, understand, and share the emotional state of others. However, the notion has been greatly challenged by the emerging discoveries of empathy for pain or distress in rodents. Because empathy is believed to be fundamental to the formation of prosocial, altruistic, and even moral behaviors in social animals and humans, studies associated with decoding the neural circuits and unraveling the underlying molecular and neural mecha- nisms of empathy for pain or distress in rodents would be very important and encouraging. In this review, the author set out to outline and update the concept of empathy from the evolutionary point of view, and introduce up-to-date advances in the study of empathy and its neural correlates in both humans and rodents. Finally, the author highlights the perspectives and challenges for the further use of rodent models in the study of empathy for pain or distress.
