Electrodeposition of calcium phosphate onto polyethylene terephthalate artificial ligament enhances graft-bone integration after anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction

It is a big challenge to develop a polyethylene terephthalate(PET)artificial ligament with excellent osteogenetic activity to enhance graft-bone integration for ligament ***,we evaluated the effect of biomineralization(BM)and electrodeposition(ED)method for depositing calcium-phosphate(CaP)on the PET artificial ligament in vitro and in *** electron microscopy and energy-dispersive X-Ray spectrometer mapping analysis revealed that the ED-CaP had more uniform particles and element distribution(Ca,P and O),and thermogravimetric analysis showed there were more CaP on the PET/ED-CaP than the PET/BM-CaP ***,the hydrophilicity of PET scaffolds was significantly improved after CaP *** vitro study showed that CaP coating via BM or ED method could improve the attachment and proliferation of MC3T3-E1 cells,and ED-CaP coating significantly increased osteogenic differentiation of the cells,in which the Wnt/β-catenin signaling pathway might be *** addition,radiological,histological and immunohistochemical results of in vivo study in a rabbit anterior cruciate ligament(ACL)reconstruction model demonstrated that the PET/BM-CaP and PET/ED-CaP scaffolds significantly improved graft-bone integration process compared to the PET *** importantly,larger areas of new bone ingrowth and the formation of fibrocartilage tissue were observed at 12 weeks in the PET/ED-CaP group,and the biomechanical tests showed increased ultimate failure load and stiffness in PET/ED-CaP group compared to PET/BM-CaP and PET ***,ED of CaP is an effective strategy for the modification of PET artificial ligament and can enhance graft-bone integration both in vitro and in vivo.

Retinoid X receptor a （RXRα） and its N-terminally trun- cated version tRXRα play important roles in tumorige. nesis, while some RXRg ligands possess potent anti- cancer activities by targeting and modulating the tumorigenic effects of RXRo and tRXRa. Here we describe NSC-640358 （N-6）, a thiazolyl-pyrazole derived compound, acts as a selective RXRα ligand to promote TNFα-mediated apoptosis of cancer cell. N-6 binds to RXRa and inhibits the transactivation of RXRα homod- imer and RXRa/TR3 heterodimer. Using mutational analysis and computational study, we determine that Arg316 in RXRa, essential for 9-cis-retinoic acid binding and activating RXRg transactivation, is not required for antagonist effects of N-6, whereas Trp305 and Phe313 are crucial for N-6 binding to RXRα by forming extra w-w stacking interactions with N-6, indicating a distinct RXRα binding mode of N-6. N-6 inhibits TR3-stimulated transactivation of Gal4-DBD-RXRα-LBD by binding to the ligand binding pocket of RXRa-LBD, suggesting a strategy to regulate TR3 activity indirectly by using small molecules to target its interacting partner RXRα. For its physiological activities, we show that N-6 strongly inhibits tumor necrosis factor a （TNFα）-induced AKT activation and stimulates TNFa-mediated apoptosis in cancer cells in an RXRa/tRXRo dependent *** inhibition of TNFα-induced tRXRα/p85α complex formation by N-6 implies that N-6 targets tRXRa to inhibit TNFα-induced AKT activation and to induce cancer cell apoptosis. Together, our data illustrate a new RXRa ligand with a unique RXRα binding mode and the abilities to regulate TR3 activity indirectly and to induce TNFa-mediated cancer cell apoptosis by targeting RXRα/tRXRα.

Correlation Analysis between Body Size and Slaughter Performance in F-_1 Hybrid Offspring of Princess Chicken and Kirin Chicken

In order to study the meat development value of princess chicken,the body size traits and slaughter performance of 12-week-old F1 hybrid offspring of princess chicken(♂) and kirin chicken(♀) were measured and the correlations between different traits were analyzed. The results showed that body length,keel length and shank length of male F1 hybrid offspring were significantly higher than those of female chickens(P < 0. 05). The live weight,carcass weight,semi-eviscerated weight,semi-eviscerated ratio,eviscerated weight,chest muscle weight,the leg muscle weight and heart weight of male chickens were extremely significantly higher than that of female chickens(P < 0. 01),and the leg muscle ratio and wings weight were significantly higher than that of female chickens(P < 0. 05),but sebum thickness of male chickens was extremely significantly lower than that of female chickens(P < 0. 01). Other indicators failed to reach the significant difference level. There were extremely significant or significant correlations between the slaughter performance and body size in F1 hybrid offspring. The regression equations between different indicators were identified and developed. The results provided a certain theoretical reference to predict slaughter performance indicators through a living body size measurement,and revealed an improved production performance of F1 hybrid offspring.

针对命名数据网络(NDN)架构中多数缓存策略的冗余与低效问题,提出一种基于节点介数与边缘内容流行度的缓存放置策略BEP。结合节点的介数中心性与内容的动态流行度,同时考虑缓存的过滤作用,将最流行的内容放置在最重要的节点上,以高效利用稀缺的缓存资源。仿真结果表明,与经典NDN缓存策略LCE、LCD相比,BEP能有效提高缓存命中率,降低服务器负载。

Genetic diversity and population structure of indigenous chicken breeds in South China

A total of 587 individuals from 12 indigenous chicken breeds from South China and two commercial breeds were genotyped for 26 microsatellites to investigate the genetic diversity and population *** microsatellites were found to be *** number of alleles per locus ranged from 5 to 36,with an average of12.10±7.00(SE).All breeds,except White Recessive Rock,had high allelic polymorphism(>0.5).Higher genetic diversity was revealed in the indigenous chicken breeds rather than in the commercial *** introgression from the commercial breeds into the indigenous chickens was also *** population structure of these indigenous chicken breeds could be explained by their geographical distribution,which suggested the presence of independent history of breed *** generated in this study will provide valuable information to the conservation for indigenous chicken breeds in future.

For decades, Dr. chen has been engaged in fish germplasm preservation, sex control and research focusing on molecular breeding for disease resistance. He discovered the first sex-specific molecular marker of fish(chen et al., 2007),deciphered the first fish genome(Chinese tongue sole) in China, revealed the sex determination mechanism in fish(chen et al., 2014), and created molecular sex control technology. He also discovered the molecular mechanism of metamorphosis in flatfish(Shao et al., 2017) and developed China's first fish disease-resistant breeding gene chip, “YUXIN No.1”.
