Overpressure origins and evolution in deep-buried strata:A case study of the Jurassic Formation,central Junggar Basin,western China

Overpressure is significant to the exploration and exploitation of petroleum due to its influence on hydrocarbon accumulation and drilling *** deep-burial hydrocarbon reservoirs of Jurassic strata in the central Junggar Basin are characterized by intensive overpressure,whose origins are complex and still *** this study,Bowers'method and sonic velocity-density crossplot method based on well logging data were used as a combination for overpressure judgements in ***,the corresponding geological processes were analysed in quality and quantity to provide a rational comprehension of the overpressure origins and the model of overpressure evolution and hy-drocarbon accumulation *** results showed that hydrocarbon generation in the Jurassic source rocks led to overpressure in the mudstones,while hydrocarbon generation in Permian source rocks led to overpressure in the sandstone reservoirs in Jurassic strata by vertical pressure *** burial and thermal history indicated that the aquathermal effect of pore fluids by temperature increase in deep strata is also an important origin of overpressure,while disequilibrium compaction may not be the dominant cause for the overpressure in deep-buried ***,the continuous tectonic compression in both the north-south and west-east trends from the Jurassic period to the present may also have enhanced the overpressure in deep ***,the developed faults formed by intensive tectonic compression led to pressure transfer from source rocks to the Jurassic *** geofluids with hydrocarbons migrated to sandstone reservoirs and aggravated the over-pressure in the Jurassic *** conclude,the intensive overpressure in the central Junggar Basin is attributed to the combination of multiple mechanisms,including hydrocarbon generation,the aqua-thermal effect,tectonic compression and pressure ***,the developed overpressure indicated hydro

To achieve a fully automatic registration between HJ-1 CCD images and HJ-1 infrared images is a difficult task as it must deal with the varying illuminations and resolutions of the images,different perspectives,and the local deformations within the *** this paper,aimed at those registration issues,a fully automatic registration approach based on contour and SIFT is *** registration technique performs a pre-registration process using contour feature matching algorithm that decides the overlapping region between a reference image and an input *** the coarse regions are obtained,it performs a fine registration process based on SIFT detector and a local adaptive matching *** the fine registration process,image blocking theory is used,which not only speeds up the features extraction and matching,but also makes the matching point pairs distributed uniformly in images,and further improves the accuracy of input image *** with visible images and infrared images from HJ-1A/B demonstrate the efficiency and the accuracy of the proposed technique for multisource remote sensing images registration.

Enhanced bimetallic CuCo nanoparticles on nitrogen-doped carbon for selective hydrogenation of furfural to furfuryl alcohol through strong electronic interactions

Bimetallic CuCo catalysts with different Cu to Co ratios on N-doped porous carbon materials(N-C)were achieved using impregnation method and applied in the hydrogenation of furfural(FAL)to furfuryl alcohol(FOL).The high hydrogenation activity of FAL over Cu_(1)Co_(1)/N-C was originated from the synergistic interactions of Cu and Co species,where Co^(0)and Cu^(0)simultaneously adsorb and activate H_(2),and Cu^(+) served as Lewis acid sites to activate C]***,electrons transfer from Cu to Co promoted the formation of Cu^(+).In situ Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy analysis indicated that Cu_(1)Co_(1)/N-C adsorbed FAL with a tilted η^(1)-(O)*** superior Cu_(1)Co_(1)/N-C showed excellent adsorbed ability towards H_(2) and FAL,but weak adsorption for ***,Cu_(1)Co_(1)/N-C possessed 93.1%FAL conversion and 99.0% FOL selectivity after 5 h reaction,which also exhibited satisfactory reusability in FAL hydrogenation for five cycles.

Probing self-optimization of carbon support in oxygen evolution reaction

Despite acknowledgment of structural reconstruction of materials following oxygen evolution reaction (OER) reaction, the role of support during the reconstruction process has been ignored. Given this, we directly in situ transform the residual iron present in raw single-walled carbon nanotubes (SWCNT) into Fe_(2)O_(3) and thus build Fe_(2)O_(3)-CNT as the model system. Intriguingly, an anomalous self-optimization occurred on SWCNT and the derived components show satisfactory electrochemical performance. Soft X-ray absorption spectroscopy (sXAS) analysis and theory calculation correspondingly indicate that self-optimization yields stronger interaction between SWCNT and Fe_(2)O_(3) nanoparticles, where the electrons migrate from Fe_(2)O_(3) to optimized SWCNT. Such polarization will generate a positive charge center and thus boost the OER activity. This finding directly observes the self-optimization of support effect, providing a new perspective for OER and related electrochemical reactions.

Spatial variability and its main controlling factors of the permafrost soil-moisture on the northern-slope of Bayan Har Mountains in Qinghai-Tibet Plateau

The soil moisture movement is an important carrier of material cycle and energy flow among the various geo-spheres in the cold ***, this research takes the north slope of Bayan Har Mountains in Qinghai-Tibet Plateau as a case *** present study firstly investigates the change of permafrost moisture in different slope positions and depths. Based on this investigation, this article attempts to investigate the spatial variability of permafrost moisture and identifies the key influence factors in different terrain conditions. The method of classification and regression tree(CART) is adopted to identify the main controlling factors influencing the soil moisture movement. The relationships between soil moisture and environmental factors are revealed by the use of the method of canonical correspondence analysis(CCA). The results show that: 1) Due to the terrain slope and the freezing-thawing process, the horizontal flow weakens in the freezing period. The vertical migration of the soil moisture movement strengthens. It will lead to that the soil-moisture content in the up-slope is higher than that in the down-slope. The conclusion is contrary during the melting period. 2) Elevation, soil texture, soil temperature and vegetation coverage are the main environmental factors which affect the slopepermafrost soil-moisture. 3) Slope, elevation and vegetation coverage are the main factors that affect the slope-permafrost soil-moisture at the shallow depth of 0-20 cm. It is complex at the middle and lower depth.

Accurate evaluation of lattice thermal conductivity is usually a tough task from the theoretical side,especially for alloyed systems with fractional *** the tetradymite family as a prototypical class of examples,we propose a reliable approach for rapid prediction on the lattice thermal conductivity at arbitrary composition by utilizing the concept of configurational *** of performing time-consuming first-principles calculations,the lattice thermal conductivities of any alloyed tetradymites can be readily obtained from a few samples with integer *** strong predictive power is demonstrated by good agreement between our results and those reported *** principle,such an effective method can be applicable to any other material families,which is very beneficial for high-throughput design of systems with desired thermal conductivity.

screw-cone-like Zn_(2)GeO_(4)-ZnO particles with a base diameter of approximately 400 nm and a height of 400–800 nm or so were successfully synthesised by combustion oxidation of zinc and germanium powder at 960℃.No catalyst or carrier gases were *** and SEM analyses reveal that Zn_(2)GeO_(4) and ZnO grew to parasitic crystals evenly in interaction with each *** images exhibit the homogeneity of the distribution of Ge and *** formation mechanism is discussed and attributed to the unique growth process of the screw-cone-like Zn_(2)GeO_(4)-ZnO particles and its vapour-solid(VS)growth *** addition,the Zn_(2)GeO_(4)-ZnO particles could tune the energy level structure of nano-tetrapod ZnO,which leads to the emission peak redshift from 376 nm to 435 nm and enhances the light emission intensity in the visible light region.
