BACKGROUND Gallbladder neuroendocrine carcinoma(NEC)represents a subtype of gallbladder malignancies characterized by a low incidence,aggressive nature,and poor *** its clinical severity,the genetic alterations,mechanisms,and signaling pathways underlying gallbladder NEC remain *** SUMMARY This case study presents a rare instance of primary gallbladder NEC in a 73-year-old female patient,who underwent a radical cholecystectomy with hepatic hilar lymphadenectomy and resection of liver segments IV-B and *** gene sequencing and bioinformatics analysis tools,including STRING,GeneMANIA,Metascape,TRRUST,Sangerbox,cBioPortal and GSCA,were used to analyze the biological functions and features of mutated genes in gallbladder *** mutations(APC,ARID2,IFNA6,KEAP1,RB1,SMAD4,TP53,BTK,GATA1,GNAS,and PRDM3)were identified,and the tumor mutation burden was determined to be 9.52 muts/Mb via targeted gene sequencing.A protein-protein interaction network showed significant interactions among the twelve mutated *** Ontology and Kyoto Encyclopedia of Genes and Genomes analyses were used to assess mutation functions and *** results revealed 40 tumor-related pathways.A key regulatory factor for gallbladder NEC-related genes was identified,and its biological functions and features were compared with those of gallbladder *** Gallbladder NEC requires standardized *** with other gallbladder carcinomas revealed clinical phenotypes,molecular alterations,functional characteristics,and enriched pathways.

A microgravity environment has been shown to cause ocular damage and affect visual acuity,but the underlying mechanisms remain ***,we established an animal model of weightlessness via tail suspension to examine the pathological changes and molecular mechanisms of retinal damage under *** 4 weeks of tail suspension,there were no notable alterations in retinal function and morphology,while after 8 weeks of tail suspension,significant reductions in retinal function were observed,and the outer nuclear layer was thinner,with abundant apoptotic *** investigate the mechanism underlying the degenerative changes that occurred in the outer nuclear layer of the retina,proteomics was used to analyze differentially expressed proteins in rat retinas after 8 weeks of tail *** results showed that the expression levels of fibroblast growth factor 2(also known as basic fibroblast growth factor)and glial fibrillary acidic protein,which are closely related to Müller cell activation,were significantly *** addition,Müller cell regeneration and Müller cell gliosis were observed after 4 and 8 weeks,respectively,of simulated *** findings indicate that Müller cells play an important regulatory role in retinal outer nuclear layer degeneration during weightlessness.

SUPPRESSION OF BENDING WAVES IN A PERIODIC BEAM WITH TIMOSHENKO BEAM THEORY

Active control of bending waves in a periodic beam by the Timoshenko beam theory is concerned. A discussion about the possible wave solutions for periodic beams and their control by forces is presented. Wave propagation in a periodic beam is studied. The transfer matrix between two consecutive unit cells is obtained based on the continuity conditions. Wave amplitudes are derived by employing the Bloch-Floquet theorem and the transfer matrix. The influences of the propagating constant on the wave amplitudes are considered. It is shown that vibrations are still needed to be suppressed in the pass-band regions. Wave-suppression strategy described in this paper is employed to eliminate the propagating disturbance of an infinite periodic beam. A minimum wave-suppression strategy is compared with the classical wave-suppression strategy.

Hierarchical CoNiSe2 nano-architecture as a high- performance electrocatalyst for water splitting

Hierarchical nano-architectures comprised of ultrathin ternary selenide （CoNiSe2） nanorods were directly grown on nickel foam （NF）. The integrated CoNiSe2/NF functions as a robust electrocatalyst with an extremely high activity and stability for emerging renewable energy technologies, and electrochemical oxygen and hydrogen evolution reactions （OER and HER, respectively）. The overpotentials required to deliver a current density of 100 mA·cm^-2 are as low as 307 and 170 mV for the OER and HER, respectively; therefore, the obtained CoNiSe2 is among the most promising earth-abundant catalysts for water splitting. Furthermore, our synthetic sample validates a two-electrode electrolyzer for reducing the cell voltage in the full water splitting reaction to 1.591 V to achieve a current density of 10 mA·cm^-2, which offers a novel inexpensive, integrated selenide/NF electrode for electrocatalytic applications.

EFI System Performance Reliability Evaluation Based on Degradation Data Distribution

The performance of Electronic fuel injection(EFI) systems has been significantly improved owing to the enhancement of materials and components. Thus,it is very difficult to obtain enough time-to-failure data for a specific time. This raises a big challenge with regard to traditional reliability evaluations of EFI systems since the evaluations lack abundant failure data. To resolve the problem, this paper proposes a new method. By analyzing the working principle and failure mechanism of an EFI system, the extraction method and degradation analysis of the system parameters are first carried out. Then, a temperature stress degradation model of linear regression based on degradation data distribution is presented. Experimental results show that EFI system performance reliability can be effectively evaluated. This can provide a theoretical basis for an overall performance estimation and proactive maintenance of automotive ECUs.

Determination of respiration, gross nitrification and denitrification in soil profile using BaPS system

A facility of BaPS （Barometric Process Separation） was used to determine soil respiration, gross nitrification and denitrification in a winter wheat field with depths of 0-7, 7--14 and 14-21 cm. N2O production was determined by a gas chromatograph. Crop root mass and relevant soil parameters were measured. Results showed that soil respiration and gross nitrification decreased with the increase of soil depth, while denitrification did not change significantly. In comparison with no-plowing plot, soil respiration increased significantly in plowing plot, especially in the surface soil of 0-7 cm, while gross nitrification and denitrification rates were not affected by plowing. Cropping practice in previous season was found to affect soil gross nitrification in the following wheat-growing season. Higher gross nitrification rate occurred in the filed plot with preceding crop of rice compared with that of maize for all the three depths of 0-7, 7-14 and 14-21 cm. A further investigation indicated that the nitrification for all the cases accounted for about 76% of the total nitrogen transformation processes of nitrification and denitrification and the N2O production correlated with nitrification significantly, suggesting that nitrification is a key process of soil N2O production in the wheat field. In addition, the variations of soil respiration and gross nitrification were exponentially dependent on root mass （p〈0.00l）.

Mechanistic insight into the synergy between nickel single atoms and nanoparticles on N-doped carbon for electroreduction of CO2

The synergy of single atoms （SAs） and nanoparticles （NPs） has demonstrated great potential in promoting the electrocatalytic carbon dioxide reduction reaction （CO2RR）;however,the rationalization of the SAs/NPs proportion remains one challenge for the catalyst ***,a Ni2+-loaded porous poly（ionic liquids）(PIL) precursor synthesized through the free radical self-polymerization of the ionic liquid monomer,1-allyl-3-vinylimidazolium chloride,was pyrolyzed to prepare the Ni,N co-doped carbon materials,in which the proportion of Ni SAs and NPs could be facilely modulated by controlling the annealing *** catalyst Ni-NC-1000 with a moderate proportion of Ni SAs and NPs exhibited high efficiency in the electrocatalytic conversion of CO2into *** Ni K-edge X-ray absorption near-edge structure （XANES） spectra and theoretical calculations were conducted to gain insight into the synergy of Ni SAs and *** charge transfer from Ni NPs to the surrounding carbon layer and then to the Ni SAs resulted in the electron-enriched Ni SAs active *** the electroreduction of CO2,the coexistence of Ni SAs and NPs strengthened the CO2activation and the affinity towards the key intermediate of*COOH,lowering the free energy for the potential-determining*CO2→*COOH step,and therefore promoted the catalysis efficiency.

Elastic Behavior of Polymer Chains

The elastic behavior of the polymer chain was investigated in a three-dimensional off-lattice model. We sample more than 109 conformations of each kind of polymer chain by using a Monte Carlo algorithm, then analyze them with the non-Gaussian theory of rubberlike elasticity, and end with a statistical study. Through observing the effect of the chain flexibility and the stretching ratio on the mean-square end-to-end distance, the average energy, the average Helmholtz free energy, the elastic force, the contribution of energy to the elastic force, and the entropy contribution to elastic force of the polymer chain, we find that a rigid polymer chain is much easier to stretch than a flexible polymer chain. Also, a rigid polymer chain will become difficult to stretch only at a quite high stretching ratio because of the effect of the entropy contribution. These results of our simulation calculation may explain some of the macroscopic phenomena of polymer and biomacromolecular elasticity.
