Stress evolution of deep surrounding rock under characteristics of bi-modulus and strength drop

Aiming at the circular chamber under uniform stress field in deep energy storage and mining,analytical solutions of stress and plastic zone of the surrounding rock under different far-field stress and internal pressure were derived based on bi-modulus theory and the elastic-brittle-ideal plastic constitutive *** trend of the elasticplastic stress and plastic region with different elastic constant ratios and residual strength coefficients were analyzed in *** revealed that when the internal pressure was small,the three-direction principal stress was compressive stress and the stress field distribution of the surrounding rock was not affected by the moduli *** obtained solution was consistent with the solution from the elastic-brittle plastic drop model under the equal modulus *** the other hand,when the internal pressure was large,the tangential stress was *** surrounding rock can be divided into three zones,i.e.,tensile plastic zone(TPZ),tensile elastic zone(TEZ)and compressive elastic zone(CEZ).The tensile and compressive dual modulus had significant influence on the demarcation point between TEZ and *** addition,the strength drop and the dual modulus characteristic had a coupling effect on the stress distribution in the surrounding *** related achievements further enrich the theory of deep rock mechanics.

Acoustic Emission(AE)waveforms contain information on microscopic structural features that can be related with damage of coal rock *** this paper,the Hilbert-Huang transform(HHT)method is used to obtain detailed structural characteristics of coal rock masses associated with damage,at different loading stages,from the analyses of the characteristics of AE *** results show that the HHT method can be used to decompose the target waveform into multiple intrinsic mode function(IMF)components,with the energy mainly concentrated in the c1−c4 IMF components,where the c1 component has the highest frequency and the largest amount of *** the loading continues,the proportion of energy occupied by the low-frequency IMF component shows an increasing *** the initial compaction stage,the Hilbert marginal spectrum is mainly concentrated in the low frequency range of 0−40 *** plastic deformation stage is associated to energy accumulation in the frequency range of 0−25 kHz and 200−350 kHz,while the instability damage stage is mainly concentrated in the frequency range of 0−25 *** 20 kHz,the instability damage reaches its maximum *** is a relatively clear instantaneous energy peak at each stage,albeit being more distinct at the beginning and at the end of the compaction *** the effective duration of the waveform is short,its resulting energy is small,and so there is a relatively high value from the instantaneous energy *** waveform lasts a relatively long time after the peak that coincides with failure,which is the period where the waveform reaches its maximum energy *** Hilbert three-dimensional energy spectrum is generally zero in the region where the real energy is *** addition,its energy spectrum is intermittent rather than *** is therefore consistent with the characteristics of the several dynamic ranges mentioned above,and it indicates more clearly the low-frequency energy concentration in the critical sta

The key of the direct method of determining coalbed gas content is how to shorten the coal core exposure time in the sampling progress and reduce measuring error of gas content which comes from the calculation of losing gas content. The coring tests were carried out in No.24 drilling field of 715 floor gateway in Qinan Coal Mine by using traditional drill core bar- rel sampler and self-designed reversion seal coring equipment. The losing gas content was calculated by power functional method, and the gas content of two coring methods was determined, respectively. Results show that, compared with traditional drill core barrel sampling, the newly seal coring equipment can significantly shorten the coal core exposure time, the 30 min desorption gas content increases obviously, the calculation of losing gas content reduces by 56.99%, the desorption gas content in normal atmosphere increases by 113.24%, and the determining value of gas content increases by 10.06%. The new technol- ogy has much higher accuracy, and it is worthwhile to be popularized.

To overcome the aggregation of nanocrystals in a blend of inorganic material with conjugated polymers to prepare photovoltaic material, we used a co-solvent blend of CHCl3 with MeOH at a certain volume fraction to disperse inorganic nanocrystals. The results show that when the volume fraction of MeOH is 50%, ZnO nanocrystals with an average diameter of 30 nm disperse well in the co-solvent solution. Its application in photovoltaic material was investigated in this work, and the photoluminescence（PL） spectra show that when ZnO was 50%（volume fraction） in solution and 25%（volume fraction） in film, the fluorescence quenching reached the maximum values 83.34% and 64.4%, respectively, indicating that electron could transfer from conjugated polymer to electron-acceptor ZnO effectively.

In order to determine the characteristics of noise source accurately, the noisedistribution at different frequencies was determined by taking the differences into accountbetween aerodynamic noises, mechanical noise, electrical noise in terms of in frequencyand *** a least squares wavelet with high precision and special effects forstrong interference zone (multi-source noise), which is applicable to strong noise analysisproduced by underground mine, and obtained distribution of noise in different frequencyand achieves good *** to the results of decomposition, the characteristicsof noise sources production can be more accurately determined, which lays a good foundationfor the follow-up focused and targeted noise control, and provides a new methodthat is greatly applicable for testing and analyzing noise control.

In this research,a series of biaxial compression and biaxial fatigue tests were conducted to investigate the mechanical behaviors of marble and sandstone under biaxial *** results demonstrate that the biaxial compressive strength of rocks under biaxial compression increases firstly,and subsequently decreases with increase of the intermediate principal *** fatigue failure characteristics of the rocks in biaxial fatigue tests are functions of the peak value of fatigue loads,the intermediate principal stress and the rock *** the increase of the peak values of fatigue loads,the fatigue lives of rocks *** intermediate principal stress strengthens the resistance ability of rocks to fatigue loads except considering the strength increasing under biaxial *** fatigue lives of rocks increase with the increase of the intermediate principal stress under the same ratio of the fatigue load and their biaxial compressive *** acoustic emission(AE)and fragments studies showed that the sandstone has higher ability to resist the fatigue loads compared to the marble,and the marble generated a greater number of smaller fragments after fatigue failure compared to the ***,it can be inferred that the rock breaking efficiency and rock burst is higher or severer induced by fatigue loading than that induced by monotonous quasi-static loading,especially for hard rocks.

Fluid invasion through fractures is frequently observed in subsurface engineering. To elucidate the microkinetic behavior of fracture fluids, the microfracture structure of coal from the Surat Basin was reconstructed using a 3D morphometric system and stitching algorithm, then the transparent models characterizing the fracture structure were produced using microfluidics, and water invasion in the microfracture model was measured via visualization experiments under various conditions. High flow rate facilitated the invasion of the water phase into the closed channel, improving the efficiency of water invasion in the neutral wetting system. Wettability reversal changed the dominant channel for water invasion in the hydrophobic system. The invasion efficiency in closed and small aperture bypass channels was *** reduction of effective seepage channels led to the fastest breakthrough time.
