Influenza A virus(IAV)continues to pose a pandemic threat to public health,resulting a high mortality rate annually and during pandemic *** modification of viral protein plays a substantial role in regulating IAV ***,based on immunoprecipitation(IP)-based mass spectrometry(Ms)and purified virus-coupled Ms,a total of 89 phos.h.rylation sites distributed among 10 encoded viral proteins of IAV were identified,including 60 novel phos.h.rylation ***,for the first time,we provide evidence that PB2 can also be acetylated at site ***,the PB2 s181 phos.h.rylation site was consistently identified in both IP-based Ms and purified virus-based *** s181 and K187 are exposed on the surface of the PB2 protein and are highly conserved in various IAV strains,suggesting their fundamental importance in the IAV life *** analysis results demonstrated that s181E/A and K187Q/R mimic mutations do not significantly alter the PB2 protein *** continuous phos.h.rylation mimicked by the PB2 s181E mutation substantially decreases viral fitness in mice,PB2 K187Q mimetic acetylation slightly enhances viral virulence in ***,PB2 s181E substantially impairs viral polymerase activity and viral replication,remarkably dampens protein stability and nuclear accumulation of PB2,and significantly weakens IAV-induced inflammatory ***,our study further enriches the database of phos.h.rylation and acetylation sites of influenza viral proteins,laying a foundation for subsequent mechanistic ***,the unraveled antiviral effect of PB2 s181E mimetic phos.h.rylation may provide a new target for the subsequent study of antiviral drugs.

Building on the recent systematic research on 1hbenzo[f]indole(Bd),an important advancement in constructing ultralong organic room temperature(UORTP)materials with a universal strategy via a readily obtained unit(7h-Benzo[c]carbazole,BCz)is proposed in this *** powders of BCz and its derivatives merely exhibit blue fluorescence at ambient ***,when BCz and its derivatives are dispersed into polymer or powder matrixes,strong photo-activated green UORTP can be observed from their doped systems at room ***,the UORTP color can be tuned between green and yellow depending on the *** ultralong phos.h.rescence originates from the generation of charge-separated states via *** matrixes play a key role in both stabilizing charge-separated states and controlling UORTP *** interestingly,when using polymethyl methacrylate as matrix,the doped films achieve stronger photo-activated ultralong phos.h.rescence underwater than in air at room *** Bd,BCz achieves better performance not only in ultralong phos.h.rescence properties but also in practical *** work gains a deeper insight into the mechanism of UORTP and paves a new approach to applying organic phos.h.rescent materials to underwater coating and imaging.

The photosynthesis of hydrogen peroxide(h_(2)O_(2))through the selective 2e^(-)oxygen reduction reaction(ORR)from O_(2)and h_(2)O stands out as an environmentally sustainable and cost-effective method for generating this essential ***,the widespread application of most photocatalysts is impeded by their reliance on sacrificial *** this context,we present a noteworthy advancement in the form of a step-s.h.me(s-s.h.me)heterojunction involving a donor-acceptor(D-A)-conjugated polymer and manganese cadmium sulfide(BTz@MCs).This innovative configuration enables efficient photocatalytic h_(2)O_(2)production within a non-sacrificial system,showcasing an impressive h_(2)O_(2)yield of 5,368μmol g^(-1)h^(-1)and an apparent quantum yield of 4.5%at 420 *** insights gained from in-situ irradiated X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy(IsIXPs),in-situ diffuse reflectance infrared Fourier transformations spectroscopy(DRIFTs),and density function calculations(DFT),it is revealed that the sp^(2)C between thiazole-thiazole rings at the BTz and the concentrated holes at the MCs function as spatially separated redox *** centers catalyze the selective 2e^(-)ORR and 4e^(-)water oxidation reaction(WOR)*** O_(2)generated from the WOR is subsequently utilized by the ORR cycle,enabling the overall photosynthesis of h_(2)O_(2)with accelerated total reaction ***,the high photocatalytic performance of the developed catalyst is attributed to well-designed s-s.h.me heterojunctions with tuned band *** spatially separated redox centers and effective transfer of photogenerated charge carriers facilitated by the internal electric field significantly enhance reaction *** study introduces a promising avenue for photocatalytic h_(2)O_(2)production without sacrificial agents,providing valuable insights into the underlying mechanisms in s-s.h.me heterojunctions.

We investigated ^(50,52-54)Cr-induced fusion reactions for the synthesis of the superheavy element in the 104≤Z≤122 *** cross sections produced in this investigation using ^(54)Cr projectiles were compared with those obtained in prior *** estimated cross sections from this analysis are consistent with the findings of prior *** the current study,the predicted cross section was found to be 42fb at 236 MeV for ^(53)Cr+^(243)Am,23.2 fb at 236 MeV for ^(54)Cr+^(247)Cm,95.6 fb at 240 MeV for ^(53)Cr+248Bk,and 1.33 fb at 242 MeV for ^(53)Cr+***,these projected cross sections with excitation energy and beam energy will be useful in future Cr-induced fusion reaction investigations.

Effects of layer interactions on instantaneous stability of finite stokes flows

The stability analysis of a finite stokes layer is of practical importance in flow control. In the present work, the instantaneous stability of a finite stokes layer with layer interactions is studied via a linear stability analysis of the frozen phases of the base flow. The oscillations of two plates can have different velocity amplitudes, initial phases, and frequencies. The effects of the stokes-layer interactions on the stability when two plates oscillate synchronously are analyzed. The growth rates of two most unstable modes when δ st equal, and δ = δ*/h*, where δ*and h*are the stokes-layer thickness and the half height of the channel, respectively. however, their vorticities are different. The vorticity of the most unstable mode is symmetric, while the other is asymmetric. The stokes-layer interactions.h.ve a destabilizing effect on the most unstable mode when δ have a stabilizing effect when δ > 0.68. however, the interactions always.h.ve a stabilizing effect on the other unstable mode. It is explained that one of the two unstable modes.h.s much higher dissipation than the other one when the stokes-layer interactions are strong. We also find that the stability of the stokes layer is closely related to the inflectional points of the base-flow velocity profile. The effects of inconsistent velocity-amplitude, initial phase, and frequency of the oscillations on the stability are analyzed. The energy of the most unstable eigenvector is mainly distributed near the plate of higher velocity amplitude or higher oscillation frequency. The effects of the initial phase difference are complicated because the base-flow velocity is extremely sensitive to the initial phase.

Facies development and sedimentology of the Middle Miocene carbonates of the Raghama Formation, northeastern saudi Arabia

Ragahama Formation comprises a siliciclastic continental deposits followed by marine carbonates, representing prograding alluvial fans from adjacent high hinterlands seaward into lagoons and fringing reef environments. The present work aimed to document the facies development and sedimentology of the Raghama carbonates exposed along the eastern coastal plain of the Red sea, northwestern saudi Arabia. Four stratigraphic sections were measured and sampled(D1–D4) and thin sections and major and trace element analyses were prepared and applied for petrographic and geochemical approaches. The carbonates were subdivided into three successive fore-reef, reef-core, and back-reef depositional facies. sandy stromatolitic boundstone, microbial laminites, dolomitic ooidal grainstone, bioclastic coralline algal wackestone, sandy bioclastic wackestone, and coral boundstones were the reported microfacies types. Petrographic analysis reveals that the studied carbonates were affected by dissolution, dolomitization, and aggrading recrystallization, which affects both the original micrite matrix and grains or acts as fracture and veinlet filling leading to widespread vuggy and moldic porosity. No evidence of physical compaction, suggesting rapid lithification and recrystallization during early diagenesis and prior to substantial burial and intensive flushing by meteoric waters. Most of the original microstructure of corals were leached and destructed. This is indicated by the higher depletion in sr and Ca levels and increase in Mg,Na, Fe, and Mn levels, especially in section D1, in comparison with the worldwide carbonates.

Involvement of the ABA-and h_(2)O_(2)-Mediated Ascorbate-Glutathione Cycle in the Drought stress Responses of Wheat Roots

Abscisic acid(ABA),hydrogen peroxide(h_(2)O_(2)) and ascorbate(AsA)–glutathione(Gsh)cycle are widely known for their participation in various ***,the relationship between ABA and h_(2)O_(2) levels and the AsA–Gsh cycle under drought stress in wheat has not been *** this study,a hydroponic experiment was conducted in wheat seedlings subjected to 15%polyethylene glycol(PEG)6000–induced *** stress caused the rapid accumulation of endogenous ABA and h_(2)O_(2) and significantly decreased the number of root tips compared with the *** application of ABA significantly increased the number of root tips,whereas the application of h_(2)O_(2) markedly reduced the number of root tips,compared with that under 15%*** addition,drought stress markedly increased the DhA,Gsh and GssG levels,but decreased the AsA levels,AsA/DhA and Gsh/GssG ratios compared with those in the *** activities of the four enzymes in the AsA–Gsh cycle were also markedly increased under drought stress,including glutathione reductase(GR),ascorbate peroxidase(APX),monodehydroascorbate reductase(MDhAR)and dehydroascorbate reductase(DhAR),compared with those in the ***,the application of an ABA inhibitor significantly inhibited GR,DhAR and APX activities,whereas the application of an h_(2)O_(2) inhibitor significantly inhibited DhAR and MDhAR ***,the application of ABA inhibitor significantly promoted the increases of h_(2)O_(2) and the application of h_(2)O_(2) inhibitor significantly blocked the increases of ABA,compared with those under 15% *** together,the results indicated that ABA and h_(2)O_(2) probably interact under drought stress in wheat;and both of them can mediate drought stress by modulating the enzymes in AsA–Gsh cycle,where ABA acts as the main regulator of GR,DhAR,and APX activities,and h_(2)O_(2) acts as the main regulator of DhAR and MDhAR activities.

Fault movement during earthquakes is a geotechnical phenomenon threatening buried pipelines and with the potential to cause severe damage to critical ***,effective prediction of pipe displacement is crucial for preventive management *** study aims to develop a fast,hybrid model for predicting vertical displacement of pipe networks when they experience *** this study,the complex behavior of soil and a buried pipeline system subjected to a normal fault is analyzed by using an artificial neural network(ANN)to generate predictions the behavior of the soil when different parameters of it are *** this purpose,a finite element model is developed for a pipeline subjected to normal fault *** data bank used for training the ANN includes all the critical soil parameters(cohesion,internal friction angle,Young’s modulus,and faulting).Furthermore,a mathematical formula is presented,based on biases and weights of the ANN *** results show that the maximum error of the presented formula is 2.03%,which makes the proposed technique efficiently predict the vertical displacement of buried pipelines and hence,helps to optimize the upcoming pipeline projects.

The paper reports on the atomic investigation aboutβphase in Mg_(96)Gd_(2)Y_(1)Ni_(1) alloy by using the first-principles study and the high-angle annular dark-field scanning transmission electron microscope(hAADF-sTEM)corrected by atomic *** using hAADF-sTEM,the rectangularβphases were observed in the underage and peak aging stages in Mg_(96)Gd_(2)Y_(1)Ni_(1) ***βphase could be precipitated from the previously precipitatedβphase,and theβphase grew in steps when it was precipitated.A special transition structure of three atomic layer thicknesses was first observed at the edge of theβphase and the structure of this interface is probably as theβ/Mg_(1) interface for the analysis of thermodynamic characterization and electronic ***β'phase and theβ_(h) structure were precipitated only at the edge of the length directions of theβ***β'phase continues to grow into aβphase directly without the formation ofβ_(1) phase,resulting in an increase in the length of theβphase,which is discovered for the first time.
