Tea is one of the most popular nonalcoholic beverages due to its characteristic secondary metabolites with numerous health *** two draft genomes of tea plant(Camellia sinensis)have been published recently,the lack of chromosome-scale assembly hampers the understanding of the fundamental genomic architecture of tea plant and potential ***,we performed a genome-wide chromosome conformation capture technique(Hi-C)to obtain a chromosome-scale assembly based on the draft genome of *** *** and successfully ordered 2984.7 Mb(94.7%)scaffolds into 15 *** scaffold N50 of the improved genome was 218.1 Mb,~157-fold higher than that of the draft *** comparison of genome sequences and two genetic maps validated the high contiguity and accuracy of the chromosome-scale *** clarified that only one Camellia recent tetraploidization event(CRT,58.9–61.7 million years ago(Mya))occurred after the core-eudicot common hexaploidization event(146.6–152.7 Mya).Meanwhile,9243 genes(28.6%)occurred in tandem duplication,and most of these expanded after the CRT *** gene duplicates increased functionally divergent genes that play important roles in tea-specific biosynthesis or stress ***-four catechin-and caffeine-related quantitative trait loci(QTLs)were anchored to chromosome *** these,two catechin-related QTL hotspots were derived from the CRT event,which illustrated that polyploidy has played a dramatic role in the diversification of tea *** availability of a chromosome-scale genome of tea plant holds great promise for the understanding of genome evolution and the discovery of novel genes contributing to agronomically beneficial traits in future breeding programs.

In individuals afflicted with hemophilia,characterized by a deficiency of coagulation factor VIII(FVIII),the occurrence of spontaneous recurrent intra-articular hemorrhage precipitates the emergence of hemophilic arthropathy(HA).Although clotting factor replacement therapy reduces joint bleeding clinically,clotting factors need to be injected frequently due to the rapid diffusion of the ***,a novel drug delivery approach may be developed to improve the drug ***-derived extracellular vesicles(PEVs)are known to possess anti-inflammatory and hemostatic properties and could be used as a potential HA *** this study,we constructed a PEV-LS@FVIII nanotherapeutic system by combining thioketal(TK),liposomes(LS),and FVIII to form the LS@FVIII complexes,and then hybridizing PEV with LS@*** results demonstrated that PEVLS@FVIII could efficiently facilitate FVIII delivery and specifically target the injured knee *** in vitro and in vivo studies showed a reduction in the M1 phenotype of macrophages and an enhancement of the M2 phenotype,compared to FVIII free ***,PEV-LS@FVIII appeared to alleviate HA-induced cartilage *** conclusion,our findings demonstrate that PEV-LS@FVIII could delay the progression of HA by targeting bleeding joints,modulating macrophage polarization to suppress inflammation,and mitigating cartilage damage.

Hynobius amjiensis is a critically endangered salamander species（IUCN Red List） endemic to eastern China. It currently has three known populations： one in Longwangshan, Zhejiang Province（type locality）, and two in Qingliangfeng between Anhui and Zhejiang Provinces. We examined the relatively unstudied breeding ecology of this species in the field and at laboratory from March 2007 to May 2014. Adult males and females were year-round terrestrial, except for the February–April breeding season. During this period, we captured only a total of 16 breeding adults（11 males and 5 females）. As few as 100 breeding females were estimated based on the number of egg sacs observed since 2007. This number was significantly reduced from the estimated number between 1992 and 1998. Males（mean total length = 16.21 cm, mean body mass = 18.8 g） were slightly smaller than females（16.51 cm, 19.2 g）. Size of breeding pools ranged from 0.2 m-2 to 1.2 m-2（0.1–1.2 m depths）. Each female deposits a pair of egg sacs by attaching the adhesive tips of the sacs to aquatic plants or dead twigs. Fifteen pairs of egg sacs had an average length of 28.6 cm and a diameter of 3.3 cm. On average, each egg sac contained 75 eggs with a diameter of 0.3 cm. Our field survey revealed that H. amjiensis used oviposition sites in small, cool, and weakly acidic pools at high elevations（1 300–1 600 m） where peat moss was abundant. Reduction in wetland size and disappearance of suitable breeding pools suggest that this salamander species is under threat of extinction, particularly at Longwangshan, where 5 of the 9 breeding pools have either dried up or disappeared. Combined size of the remaining 4 pools is less than 2 m-2. We urge immediate implementation of more effective conservation measures and suggest that preservation priority should be given to habitat that contains suitable breeding pools.

The purpose of this paper is five-fold. First, we employ the harmonic analysis techniques to establish the following Hardy–Littlewood–Sobolev inequality with the fractional Poisson kernel on the upper half space ■ where f ∈ L^p(?R_+~n), g ∈ lq(R_+~n) and p, q'∈(1, +∞), 2 ≤α < n satisfying (n-1)/np+1/q'+(2-α)/n= ***, we utilize the technique combining the rearrangement inequality and Lorentz interpolation to show the attainability of best constant C_(n,α,p,q'). Third, we apply the regularity lifting method to obtain the smoothness of extremal functions of the above inequality under weaker assumptions. Furthermore,in light of the Pohozaev identity, we establish the sufficient and necessary condition for the existence of positive solutions to the integral system of the Euler–Lagrange equations associated with the extremals of the fractional Poisson kernel. Finally, by using the method of moving plane in integral forms, we prove that extremals of the Hardy–Littlewood–Sobolev inequality with the fractional Poisson kernel must be radially symmetric and decreasing about some point ξ_0 ∈ ?R_+~n. Our results proved in this paper play a crucial role in establishing the Stein–Weiss inequalities with the Poisson kernel in our subsequent paper.

Designing novel nonfullerene acceptors(NFAs)is of vital importance for the development of organic solar cells(OSC).Modification on the side chain and end group are two powerful tools to construct efficient ***,based on the high-performance L8BO,we selected 3-ethylheptyl to substitute the inner chain of 2-ethylhexyl,obtaining the backbone of *** we introduced different halogen atoms of fluorine and chlorine on 2-(3-oxo-2,3-dihydro-1Hinden-1-ylidene)malononitrile end group(EG)to construct efficient NFAs named BON3-F and BON3-Cl,*** donor D18 was chosen to combine with two novel NFAs to construct OSC ***,D18:BON3-Cl-based device shows a remarkable power conversion efficiency(PCE)of 18.57%,with a high open-circuit voltage(V_(OC))of 0.907 V and an excellent fill factor(FF)of 80.44%,which is one of the highest binary PCE of devices based on D18 as the ***,BON3-F-based device shows a relatively lower PCE of 17.79%with a decreased FF of 79.05%.The better photovoltaic performance is mainly attributed to the red-shifted absorption,higher electron and hole mobilities,reduced charge recombination,and enhanced molecular packing in the D18:BON3-Cl ***,we performed stability tests on two binary systems;the D18:BON3-Cl and D18:BON3-F devices maintain 88.1%and 85.5%of their initial efficiencies after 169 h of storage at 85°C in an N2-filled glove box,*** work demonstrates the importance of selecting halogen atoms on EG and provides an efficient binary system of D18:BON3-Cl for further improvement of PCE.

Carbon nanofiber-based supercapacitors have broad prospects in powering wearable electronics owing to their high specific capacity,fast charge/discharge process,along with long-cycling ***,a poly(ac rylo n it rile-co-β-methyl hydrogen itaconate) copolymer was prepared and used to synthesize flexible hollow carbon nanofibers(HCNFs) via an electrospinning method without breaking after multiple ***,the inner and outer surfaces of HCNFs were evenly covered with ordered needlelike polyaniline(PANI) through in-situ polymerization methods to obtain three-dimensional flexible HCNFs/PANI composites,which exhibited a high capacity 1196.7 F/g at 1 A/g and good cycling stability(90.1% retention at 5 A/g after 3000 cycles).The symmetrical supercapacitor based on the HCNFs/PANI composites also delive red an outsta nding electrochemical performance with high energy/power density(60.28 Wh/kg at 1000 W/kg) and superior cycling durability(90% capacitance retention after at 5 A/g3000 cycles),which confirmed that the HCNFs/PANI composites had a wide application potential in flexible energy storage devices.

Temporally Consistent Depth Map Prediction Using Deep Convolutional Neural Network and Spatial-Temporal Conditional Random Field

Deep convolutional neural networks （DCNNs） based methods recently keep setting new records on the tasks of predicting depth maps from monocular images. When dealing with video-based applications such as 2D （2-dimensional） to 3D （3-dimensional） video conversion, however, these approaches tend to produce temporally inconsistent depth maps, since their CNN models are optimized over single frames. In this paper, we address this problem by introducing a novel spatial-temporal conditional random fields （CRF） model into the DCNN architecture, which is able to enforce temporal consistency between depth map estimations over consecutive video frames. In our approach, temporally consistent superpixel （TSP） is first applied to an image sequence to establish the correspondence of targets in consecutive frames. A DCNN is then used to regress the depth value of each temporal superpixel, followed by a spatial-temporal CRF layer to model the relationship of the estimated depths in both spatial and temporal domains. The parameters in both DCNN and CRF models are jointly optimized with back propagation. Experimental results show that our approach not only is able to significantly enhance the temporal consistency of estimated depth maps over existing single-frame-based approaches, but also improves the depth estimation accuracy in terms of various evaluation metrics.

Feasibility and utility of intraoperative optical coherence tomography during vitreoretinal surgery:A 4-year report in Chinese population

The objective is to introduce the application of intraoperative optical coherence tomography(iOCT)in pars plana vitrectomy(PPV)for various vitreoretinal diseases,and to report the 4-year assessment of feasibility and utility in Chinese *** reported a retrospective case series of patients who underwent PPV and iOCT scan at Eye Hospital of Wenzhou Medical University from January 2016 to January *** characteristics were documented before operation,and we intraoperatively recorded the time and results of iOCT scanning,specific surgical maneuvers performed,the consistency with the planned strategies before surgery,the type of OCT images obtained,and adverse events(AEs).The surgeon feedback was collected to evaluate the utility of iOCT during *** total 339 eyes successfully completed iOCT scan,with an average scanning time of 3.54±2.3 min,including 59 cases of idiopathic macular hole(iMH),134 cases of idiopathic epiretinal membrane(iERM),33 cases of lamellar macular hole(LMH),40 cases of high myopic maculopathy,13 cases of vitreous macular traction(VMT),60 cases of dense vitreous hemorrhage(VH).The iOCT findings were not consistent with exami-nation under the operating microscope in 49 cases(14.5%),including 29 cases(8.6%)which changed the operation strategies during *** Hole-door phenomenon arose in 20 cases(33.9%)of iMH and 3 cases(25%)of high myopic MH after ILMs ***,the residue ERM was observed in nine cases(6.7%)of iERM and two cases(14.3%)in high myopic ERM after ILMs *** new surgical methods could also be confirmed using *** ap-plication of iOCT has a significant clinical functionality in vitreoretinal surgery,providing the surgeon with a new surgical understanding,guiding the selection of a more reasonable operative procedure during surgery,predicting postoperative recovery and improving postoperative outcomes.

Brassinosteroids Mediate Endogenous Phytohormone Metabolism to Alleviate High Temperature Injury at Panicle Initiation Stage in Rice

High temperatures cause physiological and biochemical changes and significantly affect young panicle development of rice(Oryza sativa L.).Brassinosteroids play important roles in enhancing crop stress *** this study,we subjected rice cultivars Huanghuazhan(heat-resistant)and IR36(heat-sensitive)to high temperature(HT,40 oC)or normal temperature(NT,33 oC)for 7 d at the panicle initiation stage,in conjunction with application of 24-epibrassinolide[EBR,a synthetic brassinolide(BR)]or brassinazole(BRZ,a BR biosynthesis inhibitor)at the beginning of the *** exacerbated spikelet degeneration and inhibited young panicle growth,which were partially prevented by EBR application,while BRZ application aggravated the reduction in spikelet *** decreased the contents of BR,active cytokinins(aCTK),active gibberellins(aGA)and indole-3-acetic acid(IAA),but increased the content of abscisic acid(ABA)in young *** activities of key enzymes involved in sucrose hydrolysis,glycolysis and the tricarboxylic acid cycle in young panicles were decreased with the change of endogenous hormone levels under *** addition,the contents of H2O2 and malondialdehyde(MDA)were increased and the activities of antioxidant enzymes were decreased in young *** application of EBR induced the expression of phytohormone biosynthesis-related genes and down-regulated the expression of phytohormone catabolism-related genes to increase the contents of endogenous BR,aCTK,aGA and ABA,thus promoting the decomposition and utilization of sucrose in young panicles,enhancing the activities of superoxide dismutase,catalase and peroxidase,and reducing the accumulation of H2O2 and MDA in young panicles,whereas application of BRZ had the opposite physiological *** results showed that brassinosteroids mediate endogenous phytohormone metabolism to alleviate HT injury at the panicle initiation stage in rice.
