Safety and efficacy of Kaffes intraductal self-expanding metal stents in the management of post-liver transplant anastomotic strictures

BACKGROUND Endoscopic management is the first-line therapy for post-liver-transplant anas-tomotic *** the optimal duration of treatment with plastic stents has been reported to be 8-12 months,data on safety and duration for metal stents in this setting is *** to limited access to endoscopic retrograde cholan-giopancreatography(ERCP)during the coronavirus disease 2019 pandemic in our centre,there was a change in practice towards increased usage and length-of-stay of the Kaffes biliary intraductal self-expanding stent in patients with suitable *** was mainly due to the theoretical benefit of Kaffes stents allowing for longer indwelling periods compared to the traditional plastic *** Adult liver transplant recipients aged 18 years and above who underwent ERCP were retrospectively identified during a 10-year period through a database *** admissions post-Kaffes stent insertion were identified manually through electronic and scanned medical *** main outcome was the incidence of complications when stents were left indwelling for 3 months vs 6 *** efficacy was calculated via rates of stricture recurrence between patients that had stenting courses for≤120 d or>120 *** During the study period,a total of 66 ERCPs with Kaffes insertion were performed in 54 patients throughout their stenting *** 33 ERCPs,the stent was removed or exchanged on a 3-month *** pancreatitis,perfor-ations or deaths *** post-ERCP complications were similar between the 3-month(abdominal pain and intraductal migration)and 6-month(abdominal pain,septic shower and embedded stent)groups-6.1%vs 9.1%respectively,P=*** strictures resolved at the end of the stenting course,but the stenting course was variable from 3 to 22 *** recurrence rate for stenting courses lasting for up to 120 d was 71.4%and 21.4%for stenting courses of 121 d or over(P=0.03).There were 28 patients that were treated with a sin

人工智能的发展影响着人类社会的各个领域,特别是ChatGPT的出现,给教育领域带来了变革。先进的人工智能技术与海量的数据信息为教育提供了更多与更好的技术支持,然而也给学校的思想道德教育带来了前所未有的挑战。教育是兴邦之本,教育承担着人才培养、文化传承与社会服务等历史使命,德育是教育的重中之重。通过分析智能时代大学生的道德教育面临新的挑战,提出以儒家“智德”思想赋能“智能”时代大学生道德教育,从儒家“智德”思想中总结出五重价值:明辨是非,知耻明辱;仁者爱人,以智辅仁;学而知之,崇智明德;仁智并重,从善利他;敬德修业,知行并进。

Rapid Repair of Earthquake Damaged RC Interior Beam-wide Column Joints and Beam-wall Joints Using FRP Composites

This paper studies the seismic performance of FRP-strengthened RC interior non-seismically detailed beam-wide columns and beam-wall joints after limited seismic *** eccentric and concentric beam-wide column joints and two beam-wall joints,initially damaged in a previous study,were repaired and tested under constant axial loads(0.1fc′Ag and 0.35fc′Ag) and lateral cyclic *** rapid repair technique developed,aimed to restore the original strength and to provide minimum drift *** repair schemes were characterized by the use of:(a) epoxy injections and polymer modified cementitious mortar to seal the cracks and replace spalled concrete;and(b) glass(GFRP) and carbon(CFRP) sheets to enhance the joint *** FRP sheets were effectively prevented against possible debonding through the use of fiber *** between responses of specimens before and after repair clearly indicated reasonable restoration in strength,drift capacity,stiffness and cumulative energy dissipation *** specimens failed with delamination of FRP sheets at beam-column joint *** rapid repair technique developed in this study is recommended for mass upgrading or repair of earthquake damaged beam-column joints.

A hybrid Jacobian control for uncalibrated robot visual servoing

This paper focuses on the visual servo control of an uncalibrated robotic arm with an eye-in-hand camera. Without a prior knowledge of the kinematics of the robotic arm or camera calibration, the proposed hybrid Jacobian controller can track a moving object using visual feedback and joint-space velocity feedback. The proposed hybrid control method is a combination of the uncalibrated visual servoing and approximate Jacobian feedback control. First, the Jacobian matrix from joint-space to image-space is estimated by recursive least-squares (RLS) algorithm, and then the approximate Jacobian feedback controller is designed by using visual feedback and joint-space velocity feedback. The performances of the proposed control methods are illustrated by computer simulations.

Unique and conserved features of floral evocation in legumes

Legumes, with their unique ability to fix atmo- spheric nitrogen, play a vital role in ensuring future food security and mitigating the effects of climate change because they use less fossil energy and produce less greenhouse gases compared with N-fertilized systems. Grain legumes are second only to cereal crops as a source of human and animal food, and they contribute approximately one third of the protein consumed by the human population. The productivityof seed crops, such as grain legumes, is dependent on flowering. Despite the genetic variation and importance of flowering in legume production, studies of the molecular pathways that control flowering in legumes are limited. Recent advances in genomics have revealed that legume flowering pathways are divergent from those of such model species as Arabidopsis thaliana. Here, we discuss the current understanding of flowering time regulation in legumes and highlight the unique and conserved features of floral evocation in legumes.

Eosinophilic cholangitis treatment with budesonide

Eosinophilic cholangitis is a rare cause of deranged obstructive liver function tests. It has been described as a great mimicker for malignant biliary strictures and bile duct obstruction. There are only case reports available on treatment experience for eosinophilic cholangitis. A large proportion of patients present with biliary strictures for which they have undergone surgery or endoscopic treatment and a small proportion was given systemic corticosteroid. We share our treatment experience using budesonide which has fewer systemic side effects to prednisolone and avoids invasive management.

Accurate photovoltaic(PV)power prediction has been a subject of ongoing study in order to address grid stability concerns caused by PV output unpredictability and *** paper proposes an ultra-short-term hybrid photovoltaic power forecasting method based on a dendritic neural model(DNM)in this *** model is trained using improved biogeography-based optimization(IBBO),a technique that incorporates a domestication operation to increase the performance of classical biogeography-based optimization(BBO).To be more precise,a similar day selection(SDS)technique is presented for selecting the training set,and wavelet packet transform(WPT)is used to divide the input data into many *** is then used to train DNM weights and thresholds for each component ***,each component’s prediction results are stacked and *** suggested hybrid model is used to forecast PV power under various weather conditions using data from the Desert Knowledge Australia Solar Centre(DKASC)in Alice *** results indicate the proposed hybrid SDS and WPT-IBBO-DNM model has the lowest error of any of the benchmark models and hence has the potential to considerably enhance the accuracy of solar power forecasting(PVPF).

Aberrant activation of Src-family tyrosine kinases （SFKs） directs initiation of metastasis and development of drug resistance in multiple solid tumors and hematological cancers. Since oncogenic mutations of SFKs are rare events, aberrant activation of SFKs in cancer is likely due to dysregulation of the two major upstream inhibitors： C-terminal Src kinase （Csk） and its homolog Csk-homologous kinase （Chk/Matk）. Csk and Chk/Matk inhibit SFKs by selectively phosphorylating the inhibitory tyrosine residue at their C-terminal tail. Additionally, Chk/Matk can also employ a non- catalytic inhibitory mechanism to inhibit multiple active forms of SFKs, suggesting that Chk/Matk is a versatile inhibitor capable of constraining the activity of multiple active forms of SFKs. Mounting evidence suggests that Chk/ Mark is a potential tumor suppressor downregulated by epigenetic silencing and/or missense mutations in several cancers such as colorectal and lung carcinoma. In spite of the potential significance of Chk/Matk in cancer, little is known about its structure and regulation. This review focuses on the mechanisms by which Chk/Matk expression and activity is downregulated in cancers. Specifically, we assessed the evidence demonstrating downregulation of Chk/Matk by epigenetic silencing and missense mutations in cancers. The other focus is the tumor suppressive mechanism of Chk/ Matk. The final focus of the review is on the clinical applications of the investigations into the mechanism of epigenetic silencing of Chk/Matk expression and the tumor suppressive mechanism of Chk/Matk; specifically we discussed how they can benefit the development of biomarkers for early diagnosis of cancers and specific SFK inhibitors for use as cancer therapeutics.
