Organic-inorganic hybrid perovskites(OIHPs)have proven to be promising active layers for nonvolatile memories because of their rich abundance in earth,mobile ions,and adjustable ***,there is a lack of investigation on controllable fabrication and storage properties of one-dimensional(1D)***,the growth of 1D(NH=CINH_(3))_(3)PbI_(5)((IFA)_(3)PbI_(5))perovskite and related resistive memory properties are *** solution-processed 1D(IFA)_(3)PbI_(5)crystals are of welldefined monoclinic crystal phase and needle-like shape with the length of about 6 *** exhibit a wide bandgap of 3 eV and a high decomposition temperature of 206℃.Moreover,the(IFA)_(3)PbI_(5)films with good uniformity and crystallization were obtained using a dual solvent of N,N-dimethylformamide(DMF)and dimethyl sulfoxide(DMSO).To study the intrinsic electric properties of this anisotropic material,we constructed the simplest memory cell composed of only Au/(IFA)_(3)PbI_(5)/ITO,contributing to a high-compacted device with a crossbar array device *** resistive random access memory(ReRAM)devices exhibit bipolar current-voltage(I-V)hysteresis characteristics,showing a record-low power consumption of~0.2 mW among all OIHP-based ***,our devices own the lowest power consumption and“set”voltage(0.2 V)among the simplest perovskite-based memory devices(inorganic ones are also included),which are no need to require double metal electrodes or any additional insulating *** also demonstrate repeatable resistance switching behaviour and excellent retention *** envision that 1D OIHPs can enrich the low-dimensional hybrid perovskite library and bring new functions to low-power information devices in the fields of memory and other electronics applications.

GmDRR1,a dirigent protein resistant to Phytophthora sojae in Glycine max (L.) Merr.

Soil-borne pathogen Phytophthora sojae is an oomycete that causes devastating damage to soybean yield. To mine original resistant genes in soybean is an effective and environmentally-friend approach controlling the disease. In this study, soybean proteins were extracted from the first trifoliolates infected by predominant P. sojae race 1 and analyzed by twodimensional gel electrophoresis. Nineteen differently-expressed protein spots were detected, and 10 of them were further applied for Matrix-Assisted Laser Desorption/Ionization Time of Flight Mass Spectrometry Assay. One protein containing a dirigent （DIR） domain was identified and belonged to the DIR-b/d family. Therefore, it was named as GmDRR1 （Glycine max Disease Resistance Response 1）. Then, GmDRR1 gene was pathologically confirmed to be involved in the resistant to P. sojae in soybean. GmDRR1-GFP （green fluorescent protein） fusion proteins localized in the cell membrane. qRTPCR results showed GmDRR1 gene expressed differently in P. sojae resistant- and susceptible-soybean cultivars. By the promoter analysis, we found a haplotype H8 was existing in most resistant soybean varieties, while a haplotype H77 was existing in most susceptible soybean varieties. The H77 haplotype had seven SNPs （C to A, G to C, C to A, T to A, T to C, T to C, and T to A） and two single nucleotide insertions. The results supported that the expression difference of GmDRR1 genes between P. sojae resistant- and susceptible-soybean cultivars might depend on the GmDRR1 promoter SNPs. The results suggested that GmDRR1 was a dirigent protein involved in soybean resistant to P. sojae and paved a novel way for investigation of the molecular regulatory mechanism of the defense response to P. sojae in soybean.

DEK43 is a P-type pentatricopeptide repeat(PPR)protein responsible for the Cis-splicing of nad4 in maize mitochondria

Mitochondria, the main energy transducers in plant cells, require the proper assembly of respiratory chain complexes Ⅰ–Ⅴ for their function. The NADH dehydrogenase4(nad4) gene encodes mitochondrial respiratory chain complex Ⅰ subunit Ⅳ, but the mechanism underlying nad4 transcript splicing is unclear. Here, we report that the P-type pentatricopeptide repeat(PPR) protein DEFECTIVE KERNEL 43(DEK43) is responsible for cis-splicing of the nad4 transcript in maize. We demonstrate that DEK43 localizes to both the nucleus and mitochondria. The mutation of Dek43 resulted in embryo-lethal and light-colored defective kernels. Among the 22 mitochondrial group Ⅱ introns, the splicing efficiency of nad4 introns 1 and 3 was reduced by up to 50% compared to the wild type. The levels of complex Ⅰ and supercomplex Ⅰ+Ⅲ2 were also reduced in dek43. Furthermore, in-gel NADH dehydrogenase assays indicated that the activities of these complexes were significantly reduced in dek43. Further, the mitochondrial ultrastructure was altered in the mutant. Together, our findings indicate that DEK43, a dual-localized PPR protein,plays an important role in maintaining mitochondrial function and maize kernel development.

The cohesive solids in liquid flows are featured by the dynamic growth and breakage of agglomerates, and the difficulties in the development, design and optimization of these systems are related to this significant *** this paper, discrete particle method is used to simulate a solid–liquid flow system including millions of cohesive particles, the growth rate and breakage rate of agglomerates are then systematically investigated. It was found that the most probable size of the agglomerates is determined by the balance of growth and breakage of the agglomerates the cross point of the lines of growth rate and breakage rate as a function of the particle numbers in an agglomerate, marks the most stable agglomerate size. The finding here provides a feasible way to quantify the dynamic behaviors of growth and breakage of agglomerates, and therefore offers the possibility of quantifying the effects of agglomerates on the hydrodynamics of fluid flows with cohesive particles.

Drainage does not Promote Post-operative Rehabilitation After Bilateral Total Knee Arthroplasties Compared With Nondrainage

Objective To assess the effects of suction drainage versus nondrainage on the post-operative rehabilitation of patients receiving primary bilateral total knee arthroplasties(TKA).Methods A prospective study including 40 patients was *** patients were diagnosed with osteoarthritis and underwent primary bilateral TKA between October 2007 and September 2009 with the same operation team.A suction drainage was placed by randomization in only one knee for each patient,while the other knee as *** visual analogue scale score,extremity swelling,wound healing,range of motion and incidence of early post-operative complications between the drained and nondrained group were compared *** Each patient was followed up for 12 *** drainage did not relieve the pain,extremity swelling,ecchymosis,or reduce the incidence of early complications(all P>0.05).Conclusions Suction drainage in TKA does not exhibit substantial advantages in promoting post-operative rehabilitation after unsophisticated TKA,compared with *** the other hand,it might complicate the surgical operation,and increase the incidence of post-operative hemorrhage and retrograde *** we do not recommend suction drainage in unsophisticated TKA.

Expression of CRM1 and CDK5 shows high prognostic accuracy for gastric cancer

AIM To evaluate the predictive value of the expression of chromosomal maintenance(CRM)1 and cyclindependent kinase(CDK)5 in gastric cancer(GC) patients after *** A total of 240 GC patients who received standard gastrectomy were enrolled in the study. The expression level of CRM1 and CDK5 was detected by immunohistochemistry. The correlations between CRM1 and CDK5 expression and clinicopathological factors were explored. Univariate and multivariate survival analyses were used to identify prognostic factors for GC. Receiver operating characteristic analysis was used to compare the accuracy of the prediction of clinical outcome by the parameters. RESULTS The expression of CRM1 was significantly related to size of primary tumor(P = 0.005), Borrmann type(P = 0.006), degree of differentiation(P = 0.004), depth of invasion(P = 0.008), lymph node metastasis(P = 0.013), TNM stage(P = 0.002) and distant metastasis(P = 0.015). The expression of CDK5 was significantly related to sex(P = 0.048) and Lauren's classification(P = 0.011). Multivariate Cox regression analysis identified that CRM1 and CDK5 co-expression status was an independent prognostic factor for overall survival(OS) of patients with GC. Integration of CRM1 and CDK5 expression could provide additional prognostic value for OS compared with CRM1 or CDK5 expression alone(P = 0.001).CONCLUSION CRM1 and CDK5 co-expression was an independent prognostic factors for GC. Combined CRM1 and CDK5 expression could provide a prognostic model for OS of GC.
