Chronic intestinal pseudo-obstruction(CIPO)is a type of intestinal dysfunction presenting as symptoms of intestinal obstruction but without actual mechanical *** extremely low incidence,non-specific clinical symptoms,strong heterogeneity,and no definitive cause in some patients make CIPO very difficult to diagnose *** and gastrointestinal manometry are commonly *** patients have progressive worsening of their symptoms and require intervention,and nutritional assessment and treatment are very important to determine the *** improvements in surgical techniques,small bowel transplantation is a feasible treatment option for patients with advanced CIPO;however,the long-term prognosis for CIPO patients remains ***,the disease is rare and difficult to diagnose,which leads to clinicians’lack of understanding of the disease and results in a high rate of *** review describes the characteristics of CIPO and the latest developments in diagnosis and treatment,in *** goal of our review is to improve clinicians'understanding of CIPO so that the disease is identified quickly and accurately,and treated as early as possible to improve patients’quality of life.

To achieve high-efficiency utilization of complex and unmanageable iron-containing minerals,the effects of oxygen enrichment on productivity,yield,flame front speed,exhaust gas peak temperature,and desulphurization reaction of the vanadium-titanium magnetite sintering process as well as sinter tumble index and mineralogy were clarified,with oxygen enrichment concentrations ranging from 21 to 29 vol.%.Results indicated that with increasing the oxygen enrichment concentration from 21 to 27 vol.%,the flame front speed increased from 30.3 to 40.0 mm min^(-1),the yield enhanced from 72%to 77%,and the productivity augmented from 1.83 to 2.67t m^(-2)h^(-1);in the meantime,the tumble index was improved from 73.7%to 77.9%,and the exhaust gas peak temperature rose from 376.4 to 484.8℃.The main reason for the improvement in sintering properties was the increased combustibility of fuels and the generation of proper liquid phase that improved the permeability of the packed *** improved sinter strength is mainly due to the increase in the phase fraction of silico-ferrites of calcium and *** addition,oxygen enrichment sintering could significantly increase the desulphurization level of vanadium-titanium magnetite sinter and the rate of desulphurization reaction during sintering process.

This study was aimed to isolate ribulose-1,5-bisphosphate carboxylase/oxygenase small subunit （RbcS） from tea plant [Camellia sinensis （L.） O. Kuntze]. In the study of transcriptional profiling of gene expression from tea flower bud development stage by cDNA-AFLP （cDNA amplified fragment length polymorphism）, we have isolated some transcript-derived fragments （TDFs） occurring in both the young and mature flower bud. One of them showed a high degree of similarity to RbcS. Based on the fragment, the full length of RbcS with 769-bp （EF011075） cDNA was obtained via rapid amplification of cDNA ends （RACE）. It contained an open reading frame of 176 amino acids consisting of a chloroplast transit peptide with 52 amino acids and a mature protein of 124 amino acids. The amino acids sequence presented a high identity to those of other plant RbcS genes. It also contains three conserved domains and a protein kinase C phosphorylation site, one tyrosine kinase phosphorylation site and two N-myristoylation sites. Analysis by RT-PCR showed that the expression of RbcS in tea from high to low was leaf, young stem, young flower bud and mature flower bud, respectively. The isolation of the tea Rubisco small subunit gene establishes a good foundation for further study on the photosynthesis of tea plant.

AIM To evaluate the association between mortality-to-incidence ratios(MIRs) and health *** In this study, we used the GLOBOCAN 2012 database to obtain the cancer incidence and mortality data for 57 countries, and combined this information with the World Health Organization(WHO) rankings and total expenditures on health/gross domestic product(e/GDP). The associations between variables and MIRs were analyzed by linear regression analyses and the 57 countries were selected according to their data quality. RESULTS The more developed regions showed high gastric cancer incidence and mortality crude rates, but lower MIR values than the less developed regions(0.64 vs 0.80, respectively). Among six continents, Oceania had the lowest(0.60) and Africa had the highest(0.91) MIR. A good WHO ranking and a high e/GDP were significantly associated with low MIRs(P = 0.001 and P = 0.001, respectively).CONCLUSION The MIR variation for gastric cancer would predict regional health disparities.

AIM To elucidate the prevalence and risk of mortality of nonalcoholic liver cirrhosis(LC) patients with coronary artery disease(CAD).METHODS The study cohort included newly diagnosed nonalcoholic LC patients age ≥ 40 years old without a diagnosis of CAD from 2006 until 2011 from a longitudinal health insurance database. The mean follow-up period for the study cohort was 1152 ± 633 d. The control cohort was matched by sex, age, residence, and index date. Hazard ratios(HRs) were calculated using the Cox proportional hazard model and the Kaplan-Meier method. RESULTS After exclusion, a total of 3409 newly diagnosed nonalcoholic cirrhotic patients were identified from one million samples from the health insurance database. We found that CAD(5.1% vs 17.4%) and hyperlipidemia(20.6% vs 24.1%) were less prevalent in nonalcoholic LC patients than in normal subjects(all P < 0.001), whereas other comorbidities exhibited an increased prevalence. Among the comorbidities, chronic kidney disease exhibited the highest risk for mortality(adjusted HR(AHR) = 1.76; 95%CI: 1.55-2.00, P < 0.001). Ascites or peritonitis exhibited the highest risk of mortality among nonalcoholic cirrhotic patients(AHR = 2.34; 95%CI: 2.06-2.65, P < 0.001). Finally, a total of 170 patients developed CAD after a diagnosis of nonalcoholic LC. The AHR of CAD in nonalcoholic LC patients was 0.56(95%CI: 0.43-0.74, P < 0.001). The six-year survival rates for nonalcoholic LC patients with and without CAD were 52% and 50%, respectively(P = 0.012). CONCLUSION We conclude that CAD was less prevalent and associated with a reduced risk of mortality in nonalcoholic cirrhotic patients.

In this article, we comprehensively review recent progress in the Re RAM cell technology for 3D integration focusing on a material/device level. First we briefly mention pioneering work on high-density crossbar Re RAM arrays which paved the way to 3D integration. We discuss the two main proposed 3D integration schemes—3D horizontally stacked Re RAM vs 3D Vertical Re RAM and their respective advantages and disadvantages. We follow with the detailed memory cell design on important work in both areas, utilizing either filamentary or interface-limited switching mechanisms. We also discuss our own contributions on Hf O2-based filamentary 3D Vertical Re RAM as well as Ta Ox/Ti O2 bilayer-based self-rectifying 3D Vertical Re RAM. Finally,we summarize the present status and provide an outlook for the nearterm future.

Higher Species Diversity Occurs in More Fertile Habitats Without Fertilizer Disturbance in an Alpine Natural Grassland Community

Are there some relationships among species diversity and soil chemical properties of high altitude natural grasslands? Plant community composition and chemical properties of soil samples were compared to investigate the relationship between soil and species diversity, and the richness in Tibetan alpine grasslands. Results showed that species diversity was significantly positively related to soil organic matter(SOM), total nitrogen(TN),available nitrogen(AN), total phosphorus(TP),available phosphorus(AP), and available potassium(AK) in the high alpine grasslands. Margalef's species richness index was also significantly positively related to SOM, TN, AN, and TP. Most soil chemical properties showed significantly positive correlation with species diversity and Margalef's richness *** results suggested that higher plant species richness index and diversity occurred in more fertile soil habitats in high altitude natural grassland community. In practice, fertilization management for the restoration of degraded grassland should be conducted with reference to the nutrient levels ofnatural grassland without the additional artificial fertilizer and with higher species-diversity and richness index.

Molecular bulks are favorable for the thermal and morphological stability in organic wide-bandgap semiconducting polymers with potential applications in both information and energy electronics. In this review, we present our progress in the design of fluorene-based bulky semiconductors with a fractal four-element pattern. Firstly, we established one-pot methods to spirofluorenes, especially spiro[fluorene-9,9＇-xanthene] （SFX） serving as the next-generation spiro-based semiconductors. Secondly, we observed the supramolecular forces at the bulky groups and discovered the supramolecular steric hindrance （SSH） effect on polymorphisms, nanocrystals as well as device performance. Thus, a synergistically molecular attractor-repulsor theory （SMART） was proposed for the control of nanocrystal morphology, thin film phase and morphology. Thirdly, the third possible type of defects has been identified to generate green band （g-band） emission in wide- bandgap semiconductors by the introduction of molecular strain design of cyclofluorene. Finally, the first bulky polydiarylfluorene with highly crystalline and β conformation was achieved by an attractor-repulsor design of tadpole-shape monomer, which offered an effective platform to fabricate stable wide-bandgap semiconducting devices. All the discoveries offer the solid basis to break through bottlenecks of organic/polymer wide-bandgap semiconductors by the improvements of overall performances.

Recently,CoCO3 has attracted enormous attention as anodes for lithium-ion batteries(LIBs),benefiting from its high theoretical capacity and simple ***,the modest electronic conductivity and structural instability over cycling hinder its wider *** well address the intrinsic issues,we explored a precipitantfree hydrothermal methodology for mass production of spindle-like CoCO3/reduced graphene oxide(S-CoCO3/rGO)toward advanced LIBs as a hybrid *** dimethylformamide plays a significant role of"two birds(i.e.,solvent and precipitant)with one stone"in the formation of the S-CoCO3/rGO,greatly improving its practical *** purposeful introduction of rGO nanosheets as a two-dimensional flexible conductive network enhances the conductivity and stability of the *** is the structural and compositional merits for LIBs that endow the S-CoCO3/rGO with remarkable lithium-storage performance in terms of enhanced interfacial storage capacity,high-rate reversible capacities(803 mAh·g-1 at 2.0 A·g-1)and long-duration capacity retention of 82.1%over 2000 consecutive cycles at 2.0 A·*** significantly,the simple yet efficient avenue here promises enormous commercial prospect of the S-CoCO3/rGO in next-generation LIBs.
