Eight-year follow-up of locally advanced lymphoepithelioma-like carcinoma at upper urinary tract: A case report

BACKGROUND Urinary tract lymphoepithelioma-like carcinoma is rarely *** it is termed after lymphoepithelioma at the nasopharynx,it behaves more like high grade urothelial carcinoma by immunohistochemical *** published literatures focused on its rarity but few discussed results of long-term *** no available guidelines are applicable,we postulated that principles should be similar to that of urothelial carcinoma at urinary *** of now,this work features the longest follow-up of this cancer at the upper urinary *** SUMMARY A 63-year-old female had a chief complaint of intermittent left flank pain for 2 mo,along with accompanying symptoms including vomiting and body weight loss,about 7 kg over 2 *** data showed normocytic anemia,mildly poor renal function,and *** analysis showed mild *** tomography showed a 4.2-cm-width irregular mass over left renal pelvic and enlarged lymph node at the left renal ***-body bone scan was negative of active bone *** from ureteroscopy showed urothelial *** from laparoscopic nephroureterectomy with bladder cuff resection showed lymphoepithelioma-like carcinoma with muscular invasion(pT3).She took adjuvant chemotherapies of 2 cycles and full courses of radiation *** recurrence was observed with designed investigative *** Locally advanced urinary tract lymphoepithelioma-like carcinoma could benefit from nephroureterectomy and bladder cuff excision in terms of recurrence-free survival.

Reconfigurable devices can be used to achieve multiple logic operation and intelligent optical sensing with low power consumption,which is promising candidates for new generation electronic and optoelectronic integrated ***,the versatility is still limited and need to be extended by the device architectures ***,we report an asymmetrically gate two-dimensional(2D)van der Waals heterostructure with hybrid dielectric layer SiO_(2)/hexagonal boron nitride(h-BN),which enable rich function including reconfigurable logic operation and in-sensor information encryption enabled by both volatile and non-volatile optoelectrical *** the partial gate is grounded,the non-volatile light assisted electrostatic doping endowed partially reconfigurable doping between n-type and p-type,which allow the switching of logic XOR and not implication(NIMP).When the global gate is grounded,additionally taking the optical signal as another input signal,logic AND and OR is realized by combined regulation of the light and localized gate *** on the high on/off current ratio approaching 105 and reliable&switchable logic gate,in-sensor information encryption and decryption is demonstrated by manipulating the logic ***,these results provide strong extension for current reconfigurable electronic and optoelectronic devices.

The distinctive intrinsic heat treatment(IhT)originating from cyclic reheating in the laser-directed energy deposition(LDED) has attracted growing attention in recent *** this investigation,simulations and experimental characterizations were performed to examine the impact of IhT on the micros true ture and mechanical properties of LDED-fabricated CrCoNi medium-entropy alloy(MEA).The results show that the intensity of the IhT is proportional to the utilized laser energy density(LED).As the LED increased,significant dynamic recrystallization and grain refinement occurred within the alloy due to the enhanced intensity of ***,the high LED leads to severe hot cracking within the as-built MEA,resulting in inferior *** decreasing LED,the hot cracking was effectively ***,low LED weakened the intensity of IhT and consequently inhibited kinetic conditions of dynamic recrystallization,resulting in a heterogeneous grain structure characterized by multi-scale-sized *** structure provides significant hetero-deformation-induced hardening during plastic deformation,enabling the alloy to have a sustainable work-hardening *** expect that this work will have implications in taking full advantage of the unique IhT of the LDED process to fabricate ME As with excellent metallurgical quality and mechanical performance.

Long-term use in challenging natural conditions is possible for photovoltaic modules,which are extremely prone to *** to diagnose and address faults in Photovoltaic(PV)power systems in a timely manner can cause permanent damage to PV modules and,in more serious cases,***,research into photovoltaic module defect detection techniques is crucial for the growth of the photovoltaic sector as well as for maintaining national economic prosperity and ensuring public *** the drawbacks of the current real-time and historical data-based methods for monitoring distributed PV systems,this paper proposes a method for monitoring PV systems at the module or string level that can be achieved by monitoring only electrical *** approach doesn’t need a lot of tests to get the operational data of PV modules beforehand and only requires theoretical feature libraries of PV modules through panel parameter *** present operating conditions and the open-circuit and short-circuit faults can be precisely identified by comparing the observed open-circuit voltage and short-circuit current with the corresponding data in the theoretical feature *** that,by comparing the measured maximum power point voltage and current with the corresponding data in the theoretical feature library through the threshold method,aging and shadowing faults can be accurately *** testing was done to see whether the suggested method was *** results show that the proposed technique is able to diagnose open-circuit faults,short-circuit faults,aging faults,and shadowing faults with shadow occlusion above 20%.

The pore structure of spherical alumina supports is closely related to the dispersion of catalytically active components and the diffusion of *** excellent pore structure under strict reaction conditions is of utmost *** this work,sphericalγ-Al_(2)O_(3)support with a bimodal pore structure,composed of macropores and mesopores,was successfully synthesized using dodecane as the pore-forming agent through the oil–ammonia column-shaping *** morphology and internal pore structure of the alumina were found to be influenced by the amount of surfactant added and ultrasound treatment ***,when concentration of surfactant was 4‰and ultrasound voltage of 20 V was applied,the resultingγ-Al_(2)O_(3)-4‰-20 displayed a highly concentrated distribution of macropores with an average pore size of 100 nm,resulting in an impressive porosity of 69.21%.In contrast,the untreated sample ofγ-Al_(2)O_(3)-0-0 only exhibited a mesoporous distribution with a porosity of 54.03%.Moreover,after being subjected to a hydrothermal treatment in a high temperature(600°C)and high humidity(water vapor)environment for 120 h,theγ-Al_(2)O_(3)-4‰-20 sample maintained a high BET specific surface area of 170.9 m^(2)g^(−1)and mercury intrusion porosimetry specific surface area of 263.3 m^(2)g^(−1).

The baffle effectively slowed down debris flow velocity,reduced its kinetic energy,and significantly shortened the distance of debris flow ***,they are widely used for protection against natural hazards such as landslides and *** study,based on the threedimensional DEM(Discrete Element Method),investigated the impact of different baffle positions on debris flow *** flow velocity and kinetic energy variations were studied through single-factor *** baffle positions were preliminarily selected by analyzing the influence of the first-row baffle position on the impact force and accumulation mass of debris ***,based on the selected baffle positions and four factors influencing the effectiveness of baffle protection(baffle position(P),baffle height(h),row spacing(S_(r)),and angle of transit area(α)),an orthogonal design was employed to further explore the optimal arrangement of *** research results indicate that the use of a baffle structure could effectively slow down the motion velocity of debris flows and dissipate their *** the baffle is placed in the transit area,the impact force on the first-row baffle is greater than that when the baffle is placed in the deposition ***,when the baffle is placed in the transit area,the obstruction effect on debris flow mass is also greater than that when the baffle is placed in the deposition *** orthogonal experimental range analysis,when the impact on the first row of baffles is used as the evaluation criterion,the importance of each influencing factor is ranked asα>P>S_(r)>*** the mass of debris flow behind the baffle is regarded as the evaluation criterion,the rank is changed to P>α>S_(r)>*** experimental simulation results show that the optimal baffle arrangement is:P_(5),S_(r)=16,α=35°,h=9.

It is a developed photosynthetic co-culture system to alleviate the hypoxia and hypoxia/reoxygenation(h/R)-injured human umbilical vein endothelial cells(hUVECs).The algae,Chlorella vulgaris,were encapsulated to slow their growth while not affecting the photosynthetic oxygen-producing capacity by Layer-by-layer(LbL)using gelatin and sodium alginate as the positive and negative charges materials,***,the photosynthetic co-culture system of hUVECs and self-oxygenating alginate hydrogel(Algae-gel)was constructed in which the optimal ratios between algae and hUVECs were 5:1 and 20:1 for a 2D or 3D co-cultured manner,*** indicated that the 3D cocultured manner of hUVECs needed more O_(2) by the production of algae than it did in a 2D co-cultured *** co-cultured Algae-gel could alleviate hypoxia and the oxidative stress injury of hypoxia and hypoxia/reoxygenation(h/R)-treated hUVECs in the proliferation,intracellular ROS and cellular migratory *** addition,the Algaegel could downregulate the expression of hypoxia-inducible factors 1α(hIF-1α)and vascular endothelial growth factor(VEGF)of hypoxia and h/R-injured hUVECs due to the improvement of hypoxia and h/R *** photosynthetic co-culture system could offer a promising approach for repairing hypoxia and h/R-injured cells or tissue by providing safe and stable O_(2).

Phomaketals A(1)and B(2),two tropolonic meroterpenoids with the unprecedented pentacyclic skeletons,were isolated from the solid-substrate fermentation cultures of a eupC overexpressed mutant strain of the fungus Phoma sp.,together with a biogenetically related secondary metabolite pughiinin B(3),and the known one noreupenifeldin B(4).The structures of 1–3 were elucidated primarily by nuclear magnetic resonance(NMR)*** absolute configurations of 1 and 2 were assigned by electronic circular dichroism calculations and the calculated NMR with DP4+analysis,while that of 3 was established by single-crystal X-ray diffraction analysis using Cu Kα***,phomaketals A(1)and B(2)could be derived from the hypothetical tropolonic sesquiterpene intermediates neosetophomone B(6)and 9-R-neosetophomone B(6),respectively,via different reactions *** 1 showed antiproliferative effect only against the SUPB15 cells,with an 50%inhibitory concentration(IC50)value of 4.85μmol/L,while the co-isolated known meroterpenoid 4 displayed potent effects against three tumor cell lines,SUPB15,EL4,and h9,showing IC50values of 0.36–27.08μmol/L.

Decreased soil ph weakens the positive rhizosphere effect on denitrification capacity

The stimulating effect of rhizosphere on denitrification is considered to be an unavoidable loss of soil nitrogen（N） and detrimental to crop N use efficiency,which is regulated by crop growth and soil properties. Soil acidification, occurring rapidly in many intensive farming lands, affects both crop growth and soil properties, thereby altering rhizosphere effect on denitrification. however, the mechanism by which soil acidification regulates rhizosphere denitrification still remains unclear. here, we determined the denitrification capacity（DC） and associated community compositions of nirK-and nirS-type denitrifiers in maize rhizosphere and bulk soils at four acidity gradients（ph = 6.8, 6.1, 5.2, and 4.2）. Results showed that the stimulating effect of rhizosphere on DC strongly depended on soil ph. Compared to bulk soil, rhizosphere soil had significantly higher DC at ph 5.2, but not at ph of 4.2. With increasing soil acidity, the stimulation of rhizosphere on DC（calculated as the difference in DC between rhizosphere and bulk soils） decreased from 8.01 to 0.01 mg N ***, soil acidification significantly reduced the differences in dissolved organic carbon（DOC） and abundance of key nirK-type denitrifier taxa between rhizosphere and bulk soils, both of which were positively related to the stimulation of rhizosphere on DC. These findings demonstrated that soil acidification could weaken the positive rhizosphere effect on denitrification via regulated C availability and associated nirK-type denitrifier community, potentially reducing N loss risk in rhizosphere soil. The independent role of soil p h should be fully considered when modelling N behaviour in plant-soil systems.
