Bulk geochemistry,Sr,Nd,and O-H isotop. systematics are rep.rted for the first time on banded iron formation(BIF)-hosted high-grade iron ore at the northwestern segment of Congo Craton(CC).Located in Mbalam iron ore district,Southern Cameroon,Metzimevin iron ore dep.sit is a hematite-magnetite BIF system,dominated by SiO_(2)+Fe_(2)O_(3)(97.1 to 99.84 wt%),with low concentrations of clastic elements e.g.,Al_(2)O_(3),TiO_(2),and HFSE,dep.cting a nearly p.re chemical *** REE+Y signature of the iron dep.sit disp.ays strong p.sitive Eu anomaly,strong negative Ce anomaly,and chondritic to sup.rchondritic Y/Ho ratios,suggestive of formation by mixed seawater-high temp.rature hydrothermal fluids in oxidising ***^(87)Sr/^(86)Sr ratios of the BIF are higher than the maximum^(87)Sr/^(86)Sr evolution curves for all Archean reservoirs(bulk silicate earth,Archean crust and Archean seawater),indicating involvement of continentally-derived comp.nents during BIF formation and ***Ɛ_(Nd)(t)(+2.26 to+3.77)and Nd model age indicate that chemical constituents for the BIF were derived from undifferentiated crustal source,between 3.002 and 2.88 *** variable and diverse O and H isotop. data(−1.9‰to 17.3‰and−57‰to 136‰resp.ctively)indicate that the Metzimevin iron ore formed initially from magmatic p.umes and later enriched by magmatic-metamorp.ic-modified meteoric *** balance calculations indicate mineralisation by combined leaching and p.ecip.tation,with an average iron enrichment factor of>2.67 and SiO_(2)dep.etion factor of>*** is associated with an overall volume reduction of 28.27%,reflecting net leaching and volume collap.e of the BIF p.otholith.

Medicinal chemistry strategies have contributed to the develop.ent, exp.rimental study of and clinical trials assessment of the first typ. of p.otein kinase small molecule inhibitor to target the Janus kinase/Signal Transducers and Activators of Transcrip.ion(JAK/STAT) signaling p.thway. The orally administered small molecule inhibitor, tofacitinib, is the first drug to target the JAK/STAT p.thway for entry into the armamentarium of the medical therap. of rheumatoid arthritis. The introduction of tofacitinib into general rheumatologic p.actice coup.ed with increasing understanding that additional cellular signal transduction p.thways including the mitogen-activated p.otein kinase and p.osp.atidylinositide-3-kinase/Akt/mammalian target of rap.-mycin p.thways as well as sp.een tyrosine kinase also contribute to immune-mediated inflammatory in rheumatoid arthritis makes it likely that further develop.ent of orally administered p.otein kinase small molecule inhibitors for rheumatoid arthritis will occur in the near future.

AIM: To exp.ore the effect of p.atelet-rich p.asma on p.otein exp.ession p.tterns of transforming growth factor-beta1(TGF-β1) in cartilage following autologous osteochondral transp.antation(AOT) in a rabbit knee cartilage defect ***: Twelve New Zealand white rabbits received bilateral AOT. In each rabbit, one knee was randomized to receive an autologous p.atelet rich p.asma(p.p. injection and the contralateral knee received saline injection. Rabbits were euthanized at 3, 6 and 12 wk p.st-op.ratively. Articular cartilage sections were stained with TGF-β1 antibody. Histological regions of interest(ROI)(left, right and center of the autologous grafts interfaces) were evaluated using Meta Morp.. p.rcentage of chondrocytes p.sitive for TGF-β1 was then ***: p.rcentage of chondrocytes p.sitive for TGF-β1 was higher in p.p.treated knees for selected ROIs(left; p.= 0.03, center; p.= 0.05) comp.red to control and was also higher in the p.p.group.at each p.st-op.rative time p.int(p.= 6.6 × 10^(-4), 3.1 × 10^(-4) and 7.3 × 10^(-3) for 3, 6 and 12 wk, resp.ctively). TGF-β1 exp.ession was higher in chondrocytes of p.p.treated knees(36% ± 29% vs 15% ± 18%)(p.= 1.8 × 10^(-6)) overall for each p.st-op.rative time p.int and ROI. CONCLUSION: Articular cartilage of rabbits treated with AOT and p.p.exhibit increased TGF-β1 exp.ession comp.red to those treated with AOT and saline. Our findings suggest that adjunctive p.p.may increase TGF-β1 exp.ession, which may p.ay a role in the chondrogenic effect of p.p.in vivo.

Objective:To formulate gentamicin lip.sp.ere by solvent-melting method using lip.ds and p.lyethylene glycol 4000(p.G-4000) for oral ***:Gentamicin lip.sp.eres were p.ep.red by melt-emulsification using 30%w/w p.osp.olip.n(?) 90H in Beeswax as the lip.d matrix containing *** lip.sp.eres were characterized by evaluating on encap.ulation efficiency,loading cap.city,change in p. and the release p.ofile. Antimicrobial activities were evaluated against Escherichia coli,p.eudomonas aeruginosa. Salmonella p.ratyp.ii and Stap.ylococcus aureus using the agar diffusion ***: p.otomicrograp.s revealed sp.erical p.rticles within a micrometer range with minimal growth after 1 *** release of gentamicin in vitro varied widely with the p.C-4000 contents. Moreover,significant(p.0.05) amount of gentamicin was released in vivo from the formulation. The encap.ulation and loading cap.city were all high,indicating the ability of the lip.ds to take up.the *** antimicrobial activities were very high esp.cially against p.eudomonas comp.re to other test *** strongly suggested that the formulation retain its bioactive ***:This study strongly suggest that the issue of gentamicin stability and p.or absorp.ion in oral formulation could be adequately addressed by tactical engineering of lip.d drug delivery systems such as lip.sp.eres.

Artificial intelligence (AI) is the technique that enables comp.ters to solve p.oblems and p.rform tasks that traditionally require human intelligence. The availability of large amounts of medical data from electronic medical records and p.werful modern microcomp.ters enables the develop.ent of AI in medicine. AI has p.oven its ap.licability in many different medical areas, such as drug discovery, diagnostic radiology and p.thology, as well as interventional ap.lications in cardiology and surgery. However, until today, AI is scarcely used in the clinical p.actice of anesthesiology. Although there has been a significant body of research p.blished on AI ap.lications for anesthesiology in the literature, the number of develop.d robot systems for commercial use or those ready for clinical trials remains limited. The limitations of AI systems are identified and discussed, which include incorrect medical data formatting, individual p.tient variability, the lack of ability of current AI systems, anesthesiologist inexp.rience in AI usage, system unreliability, unexp.ainable AI conclusions and strict regulations. In order to ensure anesthesiologists’ trust in AI systems and imp.ove their imp.ementation in daily p.actice, strict quality control of the systems and algorithms should be undertaken. Further, anesthesiology p.rsonnel should p.ay an integral role in the develop.ent of AI systems before we are able to see more AI integration in clinical anesthesiology.

For the last few years,the research interest in magnetoelectric(ME)effect,which is the cross-coup.ing between ferroelectric and magnetic ordering in multiferroic materials,has exp.rienced a significant *** extensive recent studies are not only conducted towards the design of sensors,actuators,transducers,and memory devices by taking advantage of the cross-control of p.larization(or magnetization)by magnetic(or electric)fields,but also aim to create a clearer p.cture in understanding the sources of ME resp.nses and the novel effects associated with *** we derive analytical models allowing to understand the striking and novel dynamics of ME effects in multiferroics and further confirm it with atomistic ***,the role of strain is revealed to lead to the existence of electroacoustic magnons,a new quasip.rticle that mixes acoustic and op.ical p.onons with magnons,which results in resonances and thus a dramatic enhancement of magnetoelectric ***,a unique asp.ct of the dynamical quadratic ME resp.nse under a magnetic field with varying frequencies,which is the second harmonic generation(SHG),has not been discussed p.ior to the p.esent *** SHGs p.t emp.asis on the fact that nonlinearities should be considered while dealing with such systems.

The comp.tational modelling sup.orted by exp.rimental results can exp.ain the molecular structure, vibrational assignments, reactive sites and several structural p.op.rties. In this context, the sp.ctroscop.c (FT-IR, FT-Raman and NMR) analysis, electronic p.op.rties (HOMO and LUMO energies) and molecular structure of p.rimethamine (p.r) were investigated by density functional theory (DFT) method associated with three levels of theory viz., B3LYp. MN15 and wB97XD with 6-311++G(d,p. and def2TZVp. as basis sets, resp.ctively in the Gaussian 16 p.ograms. The p.1p.H and p.13p.C NMR chemical shifts were calculated with a gauge-indep.ndent atomic orbital (GIAO) ap.roach by also ap.lying the same levels of theory and basis sets. All exp.rimental results were comp.red with theoretical data. Although the results revealed high degrees of correlation between the theoretical and exp.rimental values for sp.ctroscop.c p.op.rties using the three methods. Furthermore, the atomic and natural charges, energy band gap.and chemical reactivity were determined, while the frontier molecular orbital (FMO) and molecular electrostatic p.tential (MEp. surfaces were p.otted to exp.ain the reactive nature of the title molecule.

Structure and function of a novel cold regulated cold shock domain containing p.otein from an obligate p.ychrop.ilic yeast,Glaciozyma antarctica

Cold shock domain(CSD)-containing p.oteins are one of the group. of the evolutionarily conserved nucleic acid-binding p.oteins in all three domains of life consisting of an ancient beta-barrel fold that serves to bind nucleic *** c DNA of a novel p.otein-coding gene containing CSD was cloned from Glaciozyma antarctica designated as *** full length of Ga16676 gene with the size of 1335 bp.encodes for an N-terminal CSD with conserved nucleic acids binding motif RNp. and *** Ga16676 gene was cloned in p.ET30 Ek/LIC,sequenced,exp.essed and its resistance towards cold was *** p.otein exp.ession of Ga16676 showed overexp.essed soluble exp.ession in both sup.rnatant and p.llet forms at 20℃.The effects of recombinant CSD p.otein overexp.ession on colony formation shows that *** cells were able to grow at 37℃and 20℃but not at 4℃while ***_Ga16676 cells were able to grow at all temp.ratures *** addition,***_Ga16676 cells showed higher growth rate comp.red to emp.y *** cells at 10℃.Structural analysis of Ga16676 reveals some interesting findings such as more aromatic interactions for efficient binding in low energy environment,a longer loop.that may contribute to structural flexibility and clustering of charged amino acids on the p.otein surface that is imp.rtant for p.otein stability and flexibility.
