A modified fixation technique for the treatment of buried penis in children

For many years,surgical treatment of buried penis in children has been researched by several scholars,and numerous methods exist.This study aimed to explore the clinical effect of a modified fixation technique in treating buried penis in children.Clinical data of 94 patients with buried penis who were treated using the modified penile fixation technique from March 2017 to February 2019 in Fujian Maternity and Child Health Hospital(Fuzhou,China)were retrospectively collected,compared,and analyzed.Clinical data of 107 patients with buried penis who were treated using traditional penile fixation technique from February 2014 to February 2017 were chosen for comparison.The results showed that at 6 months and 12 months after surgery,the penile lengths in the modified penile fixation group were longer than those in the traditional penile fixation group(both P<0.05).The incidence of postoperative skin contracture and penile retraction in the modified penile fixation group was less than that in the traditional penile fixation group(P=0.034 and P=0.012,respectively).When the two groups were compared in terms of parents'satisfaction scores,the scores for penile size,penile morphology,and voiding status in the modified penile fixation group were higher than those in the traditional penile fixation group at 2-week,6-month,and 12-month follow-ups after surgery(all P<0.05).We concluded that the modified penile fixation technique could effectively reduce the incidence of skin contracture and penile retraction and improve the penile length and satisfaction of patients'parents.

As the earliest commercial cathode material for lithium-ion batteries,lithium cobalt oxide(LiCoO_(2)) shows various advantages,including high theoretical capacity,excellent rate capability,compressed electrode density,etc.Until now,it still plays an important role in the lithium-ion battery market.Due to these advantages,further increasing the charging cutoff voltage of LiCoO_(2)to guarantee higher energy density is an irresistible development trend of LiCoO_(2)cathode materials in the future.However,using high charging cutoff voltage may induce a lot of negative effects,especially the rapid decay of cycle capacity.These are mainly caused by rapid destruction of crystal structure and aggravation of interface side reaction at high voltage during the cycle.Therefore,how to maintain a stable crystal structure of LiCoO_(2)to ensure the excellent long cycle performance at high voltage is a hot research issue in the further application of LiCoO_(2).In this review,we summarized the failure causes and extensive solutions of LiCoO_(2)at high voltage and promoted some new modification strategies.Moreover,the development trend of solving the failure problem of high-voltage LiCoO_(2)in the future such as defect engineering and high-temperature shock technique is also discussed.

有机太阳能电池具有重量轻、柔性、半透明等突出优点,是新一代光伏技术的重要发展方向.有机光伏材料是有机太阳能电池的核心,决定着器件的能量转换效率.因此,发展合理的分子设计策略制备高效有机光伏材料是提升有机太阳能电池效率的关键.本文总结了有机光伏材料的研究进展,着重阐述烷硫基侧链策略在调控给/受体材料能级、提升光伏性能方面的应用,论述从光伏材料的分子设计层面有效调控材料的聚集态行为、优化活性层形貌的策略,以及探讨现阶段有机光伏领域存在的科学问题及发展方向.

The influence of austenitizing temperature on the microstructure and corrosion resistance of 55Cr18MolVN high-nitrogen plastic mould steel was investigated. The microstructure, elemental distribution and Cr-depleted zone of different heat-treated samples were investigated by X-ray diffraction, electron probe microanalyzer analysis, and trans- mission electron microscopy. The corrosion resistance was evaluated using electrochemical measurements, and the analysis of passive film was carded out by X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy. The results indicated that the volume fraction of precipitates decreased, and the homogeneity of elements was improved with increasing austenitizing temperature. The degree of Cr-depleted zone around coarse M23C6 was severer than that around M2N, and pitting corrosion initiated preferentially around M23C6. The corrosion resistance of the samples increased with the austenitizing temperature. With the increase in austenitizing temperature, the passive film was thickened and Cr（III）cr2O3 in the inner layer of passive film was enriched, which enhanced the corrosion resistance of the steel. The higher content of nitrogen in solid solution at higher austenitizing temperature contributed to the increased intensity of CrN and NH3, leading to the increase in pH value in the pit, and promoting the repassivation of 55Cr18Mo1N steel.

Polymerizing the narrow bandgap small-molecule architecture with a conjugated linking unit(or called the polymerized small molecule acceptors(PSMAs))is a promising strategy to design polymer acceptors for efficient all polymer solar cells(all-PSCs).Currently,the fused-ring-based small molecule acceptors(SMAs)are preferred monomers to design efficient PSMAs,leaving the challenge of reducing the materials cost.In this work,we firstly employ nonfused-core SMA with simple synthetic procedures to design PSMAs(namely PBTI-H,PBTI-F and PBTI-Cl)to address this issue.Relative to the fused-ring based counterparts,these three PSMAs exhibit much higher figure-of-merit value.Additionally,a power-conversion efficiency of 8.80%is achieved in the PBTI-Cl-based all-PSC.The results offer an attractive approach to design low-cost PSMAs for efficient all-PSCs.

Effects of long-term thermal exposure on γ’ particles evolution and impact toughness in the weld joint of Nimonic 263(N263)superalloy were deeply studied at 750℃.Results showed that the precipitates in the weld metal were mainly composed of fine γ’ particles,bulky MC carbides,and small M23C6 carbides.With the thermal exposure time increasing from o to 3000 h,γ’ particles in the weld metal grew up from 19.7 nm to 90.1 nm at an extremely slow rate.After being exposed for 1000 h,γ’ particles coarsened and some of them transformed into acicular η phase.At the same time,MC carbides decomposed to form η phase and γ’ particles.This dynamic transition ensured the slight reduction in impact toughness of the weld metal after the thermal exposure,which indicated the stable serving performance of N263 weld joint.

Geochemical compositions can be used to determine the tectonic setting of sedimentary basins,while where the link of source to sink is no longer preserved,detrital zircon age patterns can aid in resolving the original basin setting.The metasedimentary Legoupil Formation,located at Cape Legoupil and the Schmidt Peninsula,could give a hint for the tectonic evolution of Antarctic Peninsula.In this contribution,we constrain the sedimentary provenance of the Legoupil Formation through geochemistry and detrital zircon U-Pb geochronology.The petrography and geochemical features indicate that the provenance of the Legoupil Formation could be felsic rocks.Detrital zircon grains record a steady supply of Permian and Ordovician material into the Legoupil Formation.The youngest concordant zircon ages of 262 Ma suggest that the depositional time of Legoupil Formation is no older than Late Permian.The detrital zircon age spectrum of Legoupil Formation suggests that the Legoupil Formation sediments should be derived from regional sources endemic to western Gondwana prior to its breakup.Together with the previous studies,geochemistry and detrital zircons reflect an active continental margin tectonic setting and the detrital zircon spectra of Legoupil Formation are similar to the ones deposited in forearc tectonic setting.

In this article,we respond to the comments by Gereta et al.1 on our modified fixation method for congenital buried penis of children.Buried penis is not only associated with the shape and exposed length of the penis,but it is much more important that it may lead to serious psychological problems of children,for example self-confidence,self-esteem,and gender awareness.
