Phase and chemical state tuning of FeNi oxides for oxygen evolution reaction

Advancing and deploying the Fe Ni-based catalyst,the state-of-the-art pre-electrocatalysts,for oxygen evolution reactions(OER)still suffer from unclear chemical state correlation to the catalytic ability,as evidenced by the variedly reported performance for the different Fe Ni ***,we contributed the phase and redox chemical states tuning of Fe Ni oxides by the surface microenvironment regulation for the OER catalysis that was realized by the urea-assisted pyrolysis and molybdenum-doping technique by integrating molybdenum into the iron–nickel metal-organic *** by the complicated and compromised atmosphere,namely,the oxidation state driven by the Mo doping and reduction ability induced by the urea-assisted pyrolysis,could transfer confined Fe Ni oxides to hybrid phases of Fe_(2)O_(3)and FeNi_(3)alloy,and the resultant compromised chemical states by the charge redistribution imparted very high electrocatalytic performance for OER compared with the control *** insitu Raman spectroscopy and post-XPS analysis confirmed the facile Fe/Ni oxyhydroxide active phase formation resulting from the proper phase and chemical states,and theoretical analysis disclosed the microenvironment regulation resulting in the charge redistribution forming the electron accumulation and depletion sites to accelerate the oxygen-species to oxyhydroxide-species transformation and enhance the electronic state density near the Fermi level by significantly reducing the energy *** work not only showed the importance of surface chemical state tunning that can basically answer the varied performance of Fe Ni catalysts but also revealed an effective approach for fine-tuning their catalytic properties.

Shear-thinning Catechol-modified Chitosan Hydrogel Loaded with Silver Nanoparticles for Endoscopic Submucosal Dissection

Shear-thinning hydrogels have emerged for endoscopic submucosal dissection,while wound intervention after surgery has rarely been ***,a catechol-modified chitosa n hydrogel with shear-thinning property was developed for simultaneously facilitating endoscopic submucosal dissection and postoperative wound *** from the shear-thinning and self-healing characteristics,the asprepared hydrogel showed easily endoscopic *** also performed very well as submucosal cushion,which could remain above 70%after injection for 120 min in ex vivo porcine large intestine *** fact,the cushion height of normal saline dramatically decreased to 46%of the initial height at 30 *** nanoparticles encapsulated into the network endowed the hydrogel with almost reached 100%antibacterial effect against *** and *** hemolysis ratio of the hydrogel was calculated to be as low as 0.8%.Combined with good hemocompatibility and cytocompatibility,the as-prepared hydrogel displayed much higher in vivo wound closu re and healing efficacy than normal *** results demonstrated the superiority of the shear-thinning chitosan hydrogel in facilitating clinical endoscopic submucosal dissection surgery.

Leveraging Uncertainty for Depth-Aware Hierarchical Text Classification

Hierarchical Text Classification(HTC)aims to match text to hierarchical *** methods overlook two critical issues:first,some texts cannot be fully matched to leaf node labels and need to be classified to the correct parent node instead of treating leaf nodes as the final classification ***,error propagation occurs when a misclassification at a parent node propagates down the hierarchy,ultimately leading to inaccurate predictions at the leaf *** address these limitations,we propose an uncertainty-guided HTC depth-aware model called ***,we design an early stopping strategy with uncertainty to identify incomplete matching between text and labels,classifying them into the corresponding parent node *** approach allows us to dynamically determine the classification depth by leveraging evidence to quantify and accumulate *** results show that the proposed DepthMatch outperforms recent strong baselines on four commonly used public datasets:WOS(Web of Science),RCV1-V2(Reuters Corpus Volume I),AAPD(Arxiv Academic Paper Dataset),and ***,on the BGC dataset,it improvesMicro-F1 andMacro-F1 scores by at least 1.09%and 1.74%,respectively.

Temporal lobe epilepsy is a multifactorial neurological dysfunction syndrome that is refractory,resistant to antiepileptic drugs,and has a high recurrence *** pathogenesis of temporal lobe epilepsy is complex and is not fully *** calcium dynamics have been implicated in temporal lobe ***,the effect of fluctuating calcium activity in CA1 pyramidal neurons on temporal lobe epilepsy is unknown,and no longitudinal studies have investigated calcium activity in pyramidal neurons in the hippocampal CA1 and primary motor cortex M1 of freely moving *** this study,we used a multichannel fiber photometry system to continuously record calcium signals in CA1 and M1 during the temporal lobe epilepsy *** found that calcium signals varied according to the grade of temporal lobe epilepsy *** particular,cortical spreading depression,which has recently been frequently used to represent the continuously and substantially increased calcium signals,was found to correspond to complex and severe behavioral characteristics of temporal lobe epilepsy ranging from gradeⅡto gradeⅤ.However,vigorous calcium oscillations and highly synchronized calcium signals in CA1 and M1 were strongly related to convulsive motor *** inhibition of pyramidal neurons in CA1 significantly attenuated the amplitudes of the calcium signals corresponding to gradeⅠ*** addition,the latency of cortical spreading depression was prolonged,and the above-mentioned abnormal calcium signals in CA1 and M1 were also significantly ***,it was possible to rescue the altered intracellular calcium *** simultaneous analysis of calcium signals and epileptic behaviors,we found that the progression of temporal lobe epilepsy was alleviated when specific calcium signals were reduced,and that the end-point behaviors of temporal lobe epilepsy were *** results indicate that the calcium dynamic between CA1 and M1 may reflect sp

Effect of perioperative chemotherapy on resection of isolated pulmonary metastases from colorectal cancer:A single center experience

Ab Initio Design of Ni-Rich Cathode Material with Assistance of Machine Learning for High Energy Lithium-Ion Batteries

With the widespread use of lithium-ion batteries in electric vehicles,energy storage,and mobile terminals,there is an urgent need to develop cathode materials with specific ***,existing material control synthesis routes based on repetitive experiments are often costly and inefficient,which is unsuitable for the broader application of novel *** development of machine learning and its combination with materials design offers a potential pathway for optimizing ***,we present a design synthesis paradigm for developing high energy Ni-rich cathodes with thermal/kinetic simulation and propose a coupled image-morphology machine learning *** paradigm can accurately predict the reaction conditions required for synthesizing cathode precursors with specific morphologies,helping to shorten the experimental duration and *** the model-guided design synthesis,cathode materials with different morphological characteristics can be obtained,and the best shows a high discharge capacity of 206 mAh g^(−1)at 0.1C and 83%capacity retention after 200 *** work provides guidance for designing cathode materials for lithium-ion batteries,which may point the way to a fast and cost-effective direction for controlling the morphology of all types of particles.

The nature of electron density enhancement over a wide altitude range during ionosphere heating experiments at EISCAT

During the course of ionospheric heating experiments, researchers at the European Incoherent Scatter Scientific Association (EISCAT) observed an apparent electron density enhancement. The enhancement extended over a wide range of altitudes, above the reflection altitude of the high-frequency pump wave. However, whether this enhancement actually corresponds to a true enhancement in electron density remains an open question. When the dispersion relation of ion acoustic waves is followed, the frequency ratio of the enhanced ion line to the background ion line suggests that the profile of the effective ion mass may have remained unchanged. Furthermore, the solar radio flux and ion drift velocity indicate no significant changes in the ion species and their densities. In conclusion, the electron density enhancement observed at EISCAT should not, in fact, be considered a true enhancement.

Multiscale microstructural consideration of enhanced shear strength in TiAl intermetallic/K4169 alloy composite joints prepared by vacuum brazing with(Ti,Zr)-Ni-based amorphous filler metal

TiAl intermetallic could be used to replace Ni-based alloy in assemblies to generate excellent specific strength.A(Ti,Zr)-Ni-based amorphous filler metal Ti_(21.25)Zr_(25)Ni_(25)Cu_(18.75)(at.%)was designed using a cluster-plus-glue-atom model to successfully vacuum braze K4169 and TiAl bimetallic *** various brazing temperatures and holding time,the quantitative relationships between lattice distortion,grain boundary,dislocation density,and hardness,elastic modulus,shear strength of the joints were ***,the fracture mechanism of the joints was *** brazed seam mainly consisted of solid diffusion reaction layers(ZonesⅠandⅢ)and filler metal residue zone(ZoneⅡ).When the brazing temperature increased to 1030℃,grain refinement occurred in the brazed ***Ⅰwas primarily composed of(Ni)ss[0-11]+TiNi[011]/(Cr,Fe,Ni)ss[0-11]/(Ti,Zr)Ni[0-1-1]+(Cr,Fe,Ni)ss[0-11].The(Ti,Zr)(Ni,Cu)[001]and(Ti,Zr)(Ni,Cu)[101]intermetallic compound-based solid solutions were formed in ZoneⅡ.And the lattice distortion of(Ti,Zr)(Ni,Cu)[101]and(Ti,Zr)(Ni,Cu)[001]was 32.05%and 14.82%,*** a result,the proportion of low angle grain boundaries(LAGBs)and deformed grains in ZoneⅡrose to 38.6%and 38.7%.In ZonesⅠandⅢ,the proportion of LAGBs reduced to 8%and 3.4%,*** the holding time increased,the long-range diffusion of Al in ZoneⅡcaused the(Ti,Zr)(Ni,Cu)[001]with cubic structure to transform into(Ti,Zr)(Ni,Cu,Al)[00-1]with hexagonal crystal system structure,where the lattice distortion was 4.42%and 10.49%for a and *** 1030℃/10 min,the average geometrically nec-essary dislocation densities(GNDs)in ZonesⅠ,ⅡandⅢwere 9.87×10^(14)m^(-2),8.55×10^(14)m^(-2)and 11.4×10^(14)m^(-2),***,the shear strength of joints reached 322 MPa due to the lattice distortion,dislocation strengthening and fine grain ***,the plastic and brittle hard phases were generated in ZoneⅡand displayed a mechanical interlocking structure tha

Self-assembly of bacteria in electric fields is a promising route to fabricate biomaterials with reversible and specific ***,due to relatively less studies,our understanding of the self-assembly of bacteria in electric fields is still ***,how different bacterial species behave differently in their fieldmediated self-assembly behavior remains to be *** this study,we choose four bacterial species,including Shewanella oneidensis,Pseudomonas aeruginosa,Bacillus subtilis and Lactococcus lactis as model systems,and investigate their self-assembly behavior in alternating-current(AC)electric fields for both diluted and concentrated *** phase diagrams in the plane of applied field strength vs frequency are *** results show that in diluted suspensions,a transition sequence of isotropic–paranematic–string–columnar phases is observed in all strains as the field strength *** of the assembled structures are quantitatively differentiated among different *** concentrated suspensions,besides the isotropic and paranematic phases,a higher ordered phase with interdigitating rectangular crystal domains(OIR)and an ordered phase with smectic A liquid crystal domains are observed for *** and ***,*** findings shed new light on fabricating potential biomaterials by assembling cells of appropriately chosen bacterial species that have desired surface properties under AC electric fields.

Geochemical fractionation and potential release behaviour of heavy metals in lead–zinc smelting soils

The lack of understanding of heavy metal speciation and solubility control mechanisms in smelting soils limits the effective pollution *** this study smelting soils were investigated by an advanced mineralogical analysis(AMICS),leaching tests and thermodynamic *** aims were to identify the partitioning and release behaviour of Pb,Zn,Cd and *** integration of multiple techniques was necessary and displayed coherent *** addition to the residual fraction,Pb and Zn were predominantly associated with reducible fractions,and As primarily existed as the crystalline iron oxide-bound *** quantitative analysis further confirmed that Fe oxyhydroxides were the common dominant phase for As,Cd,Pb and *** addition,a metal arsenate(paulmooreite)was an important mineral host for Pb and *** pH-stat leaching indicted that the release of Pb,Zn and Cd increased towards low pH values while release of As increased towards high p H *** separate leaching schemes were associated with the geochemical behaviour under the control of minerals and were confirmed by thermodynamic *** calculations suggested that the formation of arsenate minerals(schultenite,mimetite and koritnigite)and the binding to Fe oxyhydroxides synchronously controlled the release of Pb,Zn,Cd and *** results emphasized the governing role of Fe oxyhydroxides and secondary insoluble minerals in natural attenuation of heavy metals,which provides a novelty strategy for the stabilization of multi-metals in smelting sites.
