In this study,a novel residential virtual power plant(RVPP)scheduling method that leverages a gate recurrent unit(GRU)-integrated deep reinforcement learning(DRL)algorithm is proposed.In the proposed scheme,the GRU-integrated DRL algorithm guides the RVPP to participate effectively in both the day-ahead and real-time markets,lowering the electricity purchase costs and consumption risks for end-users.The Lagrangian relaxation technique is introduced to transform the constrained markov decision process(CMDP)into an unconstrained optimization problem,which guarantees that the constraints are strictly satisfied without determining the penalty coefficients.Furthermore,to enhance the scalability of the constrained soft actor-critic(CSAC)-based RVPP scheduling approach,a fully distributed scheduling architecture was designed to enable plug-and-play in the residential distributed energy resources(RDER).Case studies performed on the constructed RVPP scenario validated the performance of the proposed methodology in enhancing the responsiveness of the RDER to power tariffs,balancing the supply and demand of the power grid,and ensuring customer comfort.

BACKGROUND Some hydatid cysts of cystic echinococcosis type 1(CE1)lack well-defined cyst walls or distinctive endocysts,making them difficult to differentiate from simple hepatic cysts.AIM To investigate the diagnostic methods for atypical hepatic CE1 and the clinical efficacy of laparoscopic surgeries.METHODS The clinical data of 93 patients who had a history of visiting endemic areas of CE and were diagnosed with cystic liver lesions for the first time at the People's Hospital of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region(China)from January 2018 to September 2023 were retrospectively analyzed.Clinical diagnoses were made based on findings from serum immunoglobulin tests for echinococcosis,routine abdominal ultrasound,high-frequency ultrasound,abdominal computed tomography(CT)scan,and laparoscopy.Subsequent to the treatments,these patients underwent reexaminations at the outpatient clinic until October 2023.The evaluations included the diagnostic precision of diverse examinations,the efficacy of surgical approaches,and the incidence of CE recurrence.RESULTS All 93 patients were diagnosed with simple hepatic cysts by conventional abdominal ultrasound and abdominal CT scan.Among them,16 patients were preoperatively diagnosed with atypical CE1,and 77 were diagnosed with simple hepatic cysts by high-frequency ultrasound.All the 16 patients preoperatively diagnosed with atypical CE1 underwent laparoscopy,of whom 14 patients were intraoperatively confirmed to have CE1,which was consistent with the postoperative pathological diagnosis,one patient was diagnosed with a mesothelial cyst of the liver,and the other was diagnosed with a hepatic cyst combined with local infection.Among the 77 patients who were preoperatively diagnosed with simple hepatic cysts,4 received aspiration sclerotherapy of hepatic cysts,and 19 received laparoscopic fenestration.These patients were intraoperatively diagnosed with simple hepatic cysts.During the followup period,none of the 14 patients with CE1 experienced recurrence or implantation of hydatid sc

In this paper, we introduce a communication-efficient distributed estimation method tailored for massive datasets exhibiting skewness. The data are stored across multiple machines. We construct a surrogate likelihood which only need to transfer subgradient from local machines to approximate higher-order derivatives of the global likelihood. An enhanced EM algorithm is developed for computations. The proposed method not only addresses the non-normality of data by utilizing first-order gradient information in each transmission, ensuring low communication overhead, but also ensures privacy protection. Simulation studies illustrate the superior performance of the proposed methods.

What is already known about this topic?The inclusion of meningococcal vaccines in the National Immunization Program(NIP)over several years has significantly reduced the incidence of meningococcal meningitis in China to historic lows.Worldwide,there has been a diversification of meningococcal serogroups,leading to a shift in dominant serogroups in China from serogroup A to serogroups C and B,accompanied by a rise in reports of serogroups Y and W.What is added by this report?An outbreak of serogroup Y Neisseria meningitidis(Nm)in a secondary vocational school involved a single confirmed severe case and 24 individuals with laboratory-confirmed Nm carriage.Epidemiological investigation revealed that the outbreak was localized to the classroom of the confirmed case.Prolonged close contact within a confined space was identified as a significant risk factor for Nm transmission.The genotype sequence identified was type 1655(ST-1655),which is categorized under clonal complex 23(CC-23)and bears resemblance to 8 previously confirmed cases of serogroup Y meningococcal meningitis within Guangdong Province.This suggests that serogroup Y infections continue to sporadically emerge and have become prevalent strains.What are the implications for public health practice?This outbreak underscores the critical need to enhance surveillance of meningococcal serogroups and population carrier,and advocate for vaccination with MenY-containing vaccines.

Aluminosilicate small pore zeolites belonging to ABC-6 family play crucially important roles in the high methanol conversion with the high selectivity of light olefins,gas separation and storage,and selective catalytic reduction of NO_(x).In this work,we report a general method,called the epitaxial growth approach,for designing ABC-6 family small pore zeolites.It is mainly realized through the epitaxial growth on the nonporous SOD-type zeolite in the presence of inorganic cations(Na^(+)and K^(+))combined with a variety of organic structure directing agents(OSDAs).In this case,a series of ABC-6 family small pore zeolites such as ERI-,SWY-,LEV-,AFX-,and PTT-type zeolites have been successfully synthesized within a few hours.More importantly,the advanced focused ion beam(FIB)and the low-dose high-resolution transmission electron microscopy(HRTEM)imaging technique have been utilized for unraveling the zeolite heterojunction at the atomic level during the epitaxial growth process.It turns out(222)crystallographic planes of the SOD-type zeolite substrate provide unique pre-building units,which facilitate the growth of targeted ABC-6 family small pore zeolites along its c-axis.Moreover,the morphologies of ERI-type zeolite can also be tuned through the epitaxial growth approach,achieving a longer lifetime in the methanol conversion.

Structural evolution and high-temperature sensing performance of polymer-derived SiAlBCN ceramics

In situ temperature monitoring has become extremely imperative in high-temperature harsh environments and polymer-derived ceramics(PDCs)as sensing materials have attracted great attention.However,the stability and oxidation/corrosion resistance of PDCs cannot be simultaneously achieved at the moment,limiting their practical application.Herein,polymer-derived SiAlBCN ceramics were synthesized via polymer conversion method under different pyrolysis temperatures.Their microstructure evolution,high temperature sensing properties,and stability were investigated in detail.The results show that the amorphous SiAlBCN phase grows more orderly and the size of the free carbon phase enlarges with the increasing temperature.The defect concentration displays a decreasing tendency.Concurrently,the SiAlBCN ceramics as sensing materials exhibit a good temperature-resistance property from roo temperature to 1100℃.The fabricated SiAlBCN temperature sensor possesses excellent stability,repeatability,and accuracy.Moreover,SiAlBCN ceramics exhibit distinguished oxidation/corrosion resistance after 100 h treatment at 1200℃in a water/oxygen environment,which is attributed to their low corrosive rate constant(0.57 mg/(cm^(2)·h))and oxidative rate constant(3.43 mg^(2)/(cm^(4)·h)).Therefore,polymer-derived SiAlBCN ceramics as sensing materials,which possess outstanding stability and oxidation/corrosion resistance,have great potential for in-situ monitoring of extreme environmental temperatures in the future.

Low Resource Chinese Geological Text Named Entity Recognition Based on Prompt Learning

Geological reports are a significant accomplishment for geologists involved in geological investigations and scientific research as they contain rich data and textual information.With the rapid development of science and technology,a large number of textual reports have accumulated in the field of geology.However,many non-hot topics and non-English speaking regions are neglected in mainstream geoscience databases for geological information mining,making it more challenging for some researchers to extract necessary information from these texts.Natural Language Processing(NLP)has obvious advantages in processing large amounts of textual data.The objective of this paper is to identify geological named entities from Chinese geological texts using NLP techniques.We propose the RoBERTa-Prompt-Tuning-NER method,which leverages the concept of Prompt Learning and requires only a small amount of annotated data to train superior models for recognizing geological named entities in low-resource dataset configurations.The RoBERTa layer captures context-based information and longer-distance dependencies through dynamic word vectors.Finally,we conducted experiments on the constructed Geological Named Entity Recognition(GNER)dataset.Our experimental results show that the proposed model achieves the highest F1 score of 80.64%among the four baseline algorithms,demonstrating the reliability and robustness of using the model for Named Entity Recognition of geological texts.

Thermo-responsive nanocomposites have recently emerged as potential nanoplugging agents for shale stabilization in high-temperature water-based drilling fluids(WBDFs). However, their inhibitory properties have not been very effective in high-temperature drilling operations. Thermo-responsive Janus nanocomposites are expected to strongly interact with clay particles from the inward hemisphere of nanomaterials, which drive the establishment of a tighter hydrophobic membrane over the shale surface at the outward hemisphere under geothermal conditions for shale stabilization. This work combines the synergistic benefits of thermo-responsive and zwitterionic nanomaterials to synchronously enhance the chemical inhibitions and plugging performances in shale under harsh conditions. A novel thermoresponsive Janus nanosilica(TRJS) exhibiting zwitterionic character was synthesized, characterized,and assessed as shale stabilizer for WBDFs at high temperatures. Compared to pristine nanosilica(Si NP)and symmetrical thermo-responsive nanosilica(TRS), TRJS exhibited anti-polyelectrolyte behaviour, in which electrolyte ions screened the electrostatic attraction between the charged particles, potentially stabilizing nanomaterial in hostile shaly environments(i.e., up to saturated brine or API brine). macroscopically, TRJS exhibited higher chemical inhibition than Si NP and TRS in brine, prompting a better capability to control pressure penetration. TRJS adsorbed onto the clay surface via chemisorption and hydrogen bonding, and the interactions became substantial in brine, according to the results of electrophoretic mobility, surface wettability, and X-ray diffraction. Thus, contributing to the firm trapping of TRJS into the nanopore structure of the shale, triggering the formation of a tight hydrophobic membrane over the shale surface from the outward hemisphere. The addition of TRJS into WBDF had no deleterious effect on fluid properties after hot-treatment at 190℃, implying that TRJS could find potential use as a shale stabilizer

Epilepsy is a devastating neurological condition that affects over 70 million people worldwide. Apart from idiopathic epilepsy， numerous diseases have been reported to cause secondary epilepsy. Polyphenols， ubiquitously existing in fruits and vegetables， has become a promising neuroprotective candidate against multiple neurological abnormalities due to its interplay with gut microbiome composed of the bacterial population in gastrointestinal system. This bioactive compound is also being tested for the management of epileptogenesis. However， there is still insufficient evidence from mechanistic studies to demonstrate the causal relationship between anti-epileptic effect of polyphenols and microbial alteration. In this review， we provide the brief overview of epilepsy， polyphenols and gut microbiota. We then analysis the association of polyphenols and gut microbiota particularly in the epilepsy and symptomatic seizures-induced by epilepsy-related disorders. We also discuss the possibility for the combined application with probiotics to improve the bioavailability and bioaccessibility of polyphenols for expanding its anti-epileptic function. We finally summarize the therapeutic potential of anti-seizure polyphenols through affecting gut microbiome， and propose that the anti-epileptic effect of polyphenols may be tightly relevant to intestinal bacterial flora for overcoming epilepsy and its comorbidities simultaneously. Therefore， the dietary polyphenols targeting specific bacteria may achieve the outcome of ‘one stone， two birds’.

Peking Union Medical College(PUMC)launched the"4+4"Medical Doctor(MD)pilot program in 2018,admitting students with non-medical backgrounds from top universities,aligning with national medical talent training policies to foster diverse and eager learners in medicine.On the occasion of the graduation of the first class of the"4+4"MD pilot class at PUMC in 2023,we reviewed the teaching reform in the pilot program and carried out a systematic survey and interviews with students,faculties,and management staff of the pilot class.This article reports on the measures taken by the pilot class at PUMC in enrollment and curriculum setting,and demonstrates the achievements of the pilot class in terms of student academic background structure,knowledge acquisition and skill learning,scientific research ability,and course evaluation.The results indicated that the pilot class had met the national demand for the"Medicine+X"talent training model.More specifically,with a diverse academic backgrounds,the pilot class graduates had academic levels comparable to the eight-year medical education graduates,and their scientific research abilities were satisfactory.The pilot program at PUMC will optimize the curriculum setting,strengthen the construction of faculty,learning resources,and teaching facilities,and reform the academic evaluation methods,thus deepening the reform of medical education and improving the"4+4"MD program as a novel medical education model.
