Chirally assembled plasmonic metamolecules from intrinsically chiral nanoparticles

Significant chiroptical responses could be generated by chiral coupling of achiral plasmonic nanoparticles,or originated from intrinsically chiral plasmonic nanoparticles.Here we create dimeric plasmonic metamolecules possessing both chiral coupling between nanoparticles and intrinsic chiroptical responses derived from nanoparticles themselves.These plasmonic metamolecules are prepared by assembling helical plasmonic nanorods(HPNRs)with intrinsic chirality in chiral manners on DNA origami template.Two HPNRs with the same or opposite chirality,or one HPNR and one achiral gold nanorod,are coupled chirally into dimeric metamolecules with intriguing plasmonic circular dichroism(PCD).We found that both of the intrinsic chirality of constituent HPNRs and the chiral coupling contribute to the overall PCD while their weights are different in different metamolecules and vary in different wavelength range for a certain metamolecule.Comparing to conventional chiral plasmonic metamolecules from achiral nanoparticles,or discrete chiral nanoparticles,these metamolecules bring more dimensions for tailoring chiroptical responses and make it more flexible to design plasmonic nanodevices with custom PCD.

在古史中,有关天山的记载往往与边防要塞、恶劣的气候环境和残酷的战争相关联。在中国古代诗歌中,通过对天山的描写和想象,构建出孤独荒凉的意象。而在20世纪30年代至40年代,艺术家赴西北新疆写生创作,其中天山主题作品与古史和诗歌中呈现的意象相异,并未表现荒凉寂寞的意境,而是呈现出天山具有壮丽性、英雄化、世俗化与奇幻多变的特点。在国家景观的视域中,艺术家所创作的天山图像及当时其他视觉材料共同重构天山意象,在民族救亡的时代背景下,作为自然的天山有助于构建包含国家形象的江山概念,而使天山成为国家景观之一。

20世纪20年代末,日本多家新成立的汉学机构计划在中国完整收购多位私人藏书家的藏书,其中就包括著名学者、藏书家叶德辉的观古堂旧藏。当时负责实施计划的日本官员写给外务省的报告,今天仍完整保存在日本外交史料馆档案中,这些资料详细记录了双方商议的过程与细节。本文依据日本外务省档案,并结合相关史料,考察一直以来扑朔迷离的观古堂旧藏的散出过程及最终去向,并借以揭开近代以来日本学术机构来华收购私人藏书内幕之一角。

Uncovering of the formation of rare earth texture and pseudo fiber bimodal microstructure in the high ductility Mg-2Gd-0.4Zr alloy during extrusion

The aim of this research was to elucidate the underlying mechanism involved in the formation of rare earth(RE)texture and pseudo fiber bimodal microstructure in the high ductility Mg-2Gd-0.4Zr alloy.The microstructure and texture evolution during the extrusion process were analyzed using various tech-niques,including optical microscopy(OM),scanning electron microscopy(SEM),electron backscatter diffraction(EBSD),and electron probe microanalysis(EPMA).The findings revealed that the RE texture in the extruded Mg-2Gd-0.4Zr alloy emerged during the dynamic recrystallization(DRX)process and was further strengthened during the subsequent static recrystallization and grain growth processes.The nu-cleation and growth of grains in the streamline region of Zr particles were delayed in comparison to other regions due to the pinning effect of Zr particles,ultimately resulting in the formation of pseudofiber bi-modal microstructure in the extruded Mg-2Gd-0.4Zr alloy.

Long-Term Performance and Microstructural Characterization of Dam Concrete in the Three Gorges Project

This study investigates the long-term performance of laboratory dam concrete in different curing environments over ten years and the microstructure of 17-year-old laboratory concrete and actual concrete cores drilled from the Three Gorges Dam.The mechanical properties of the laboratory dam concrete,whether cured in natural or standard environments,continued to improve over time.Furthermore,the laboratory dam concrete exhibited good resistance to diffusion and a refined microstructure after 17 years.However,curing and long-term exposure to the local natural environment reduced the frost resistance.Microstructural analyses of the laboratory concrete samples demonstrated that moderate-heat cement and fine fly ash(FA)particles were almost fully hydrated to form compact micro structures consisting of large quantities of homogeneous calcium(alumino)silicate hydrate(C-(A)-S-H)gels and a few crystals.No obvious interfacial transition zones were observed in the microstructure owing to the longterm pozzolanic reaction.This dense and homogenous microstructure was the crucial reason for the excellent long-term performance of the dam concrete.A high FA volume also played a significant role in the microstructural densification and performance growth of dam concrete at a later age.The concrete drilled from the dam surface exhibited a loose microstructure with higher microporosity,indicating that concrete directly exposed to the actual service environment suffered degradation caused by water and wind attacks.In this study,both macro-performance and microstructural analyses revealed that the application of moderate-heat cement and FA resulted in a dense and homogenous microstructure,which ensured the excellent long-term performance of concrete from the Three Gorges Dam after 17 years.Long-term exposure to an actual service environment may lead to microstructural degradation of the concrete surface.Therefore,the retained long-term dam concrete samples need to be further researched to better understand its microstructural evolution

明代晚期伴随着科举用书的大量刊行,将象征“中魁”“独占鳌头”寓意的“魁星鳌头”图案刻入书籍卷末,或在扉页上钤盖魁星印,成为当时书林的一种风尚。这种出版文化曾在明末的南京、苏州、福建一带的书坊中兴盛一时,其馀波一直持续至清末。17世纪初这一文化又通过商船传入日本,很快即被日本京都、江户的书肆模仿学习,并在日本近世知识阶层的汉籍阅读需求和审美下,孕育出了新的样式与出版文化。

Deep Learning Based Attack Detection for Cyber-Physical System Cybersecurity:A Survey

With the booming of cyber attacks and cyber criminals against cyber-physical systems(CPSs),detecting these attacks remains challenging.It might be the worst of times,but it might be the best of times because of opportunities brought by machine learning(ML),in particular deep learning(DL).In general,DL delivers superior performance to ML because of its layered setting and its effective algorithm for extract useful information from training data.DL models are adopted quickly to cyber attacks against CPS systems.In this survey,a holistic view of recently proposed DL solutions is provided to cyber attack detection in the CPS context.A six-step DL driven methodology is provided to summarize and analyze the surveyed literature for applying DL methods to detect cyber attacks against CPS systems.The methodology includes CPS scenario analysis,cyber attack identification,ML problem formulation,DL model customization,data acquisition for training,and performance evaluation.The reviewed works indicate great potential to detect cyber attacks against CPS through DL modules.Moreover,excellent performance is achieved partly because of several highquality datasets that are readily available for public use.Furthermore,challenges,opportunities,and research trends are pointed out for future research.

An improved prediction method of subsequent commutation failure of an LCC-HVDC considering sequential control response

Subsequent commutation failure(SCF)can be easily generated during the first commutation failure(CF)recovery process in a line-commutated converter-based high voltage direct-current system.SCF poses a significant threat to the safe and stable operation of power systems,and accurate prediction of CF is thus important.However,SCF is affected by the operating characteristics of the main circuit and the coupling effects of sequential control response in the inverter station.These are difficult to predict accurately.In this paper,a new SCF prediction method considering the control response is proposed based on the physical principle of SCF.The time sequence and switching conditions of the controllers at different stages of the first CF recovery process are described,and the corresponding equations of commutation voltage affected by different controllers are derived.The calculation method of the SCF threshold voltage is proposed,and the prediction method is established.Simulations show that the proposed method can predict SCF accurately and provide useful tools to suppress SCF.

明代万历年间,在福建、江南地区的民间书坊中兴起一种特殊的“上栏鳌头”出版形式,在民间日用类书、医书、字书等书籍出版中风靡一时,但不久后却因为书坊间的模仿与无序竞争走向消亡。这种在中国昙花一现的书籍文化于17世纪东传日本,被改造成符合日本传统汉籍阅读习惯的“内中国(经典),外日本(注释)”的样式,得到了汉学家和书肆的广泛接受与模仿,又因为便于汉学家将自己的授课讲义依附于汉籍文本传播,在江户时代后期产生了大量衍生的“鳌头注”,随后引发了“犹虱着衣”的嘲讽,这种矛盾真实地反映了汉籍文化在域外传播的复杂性。近代以降,“上栏鳌头”这一版刻形式又被重新利用,成为日本国民接受近代启蒙教育的新形式,古老的东亚汉籍文化适应了近代出版节奏。

As global supply chains become more developed and complicated,supplier quality has become increasingly influential on the competitiveness of businesses during the Covid-19 pandemic.Consequently,supplier selection is an increasingly important process for any business around the globe.Choosing a supplier is a complex decision that can result in lower procurement costs and increased profits without increasing the cost or lowering the quality of the product.However,these decision-making problems can be complicated in caseswithmultiple potential suppliers.Vietnam’s textile and garment industry,for example,has made rapid progress in recent years but is still facing great difficulties as the supply of raw materials and machinery depends heavily on foreign countries.Therefore,it is extremely important for textile and garment manufacturing companies in Vietnam to implement an effective supplier evaluation and selection process.While multicriteria decision-making models are frequently employed to assist with supplier evaluation and selection problems,few of these models consider the problem under the condition of a fuzzy decision-making environment.The aim of this paper is to create a hybrid MCDM model using the Fuzzy Analytical Hierarchy Process(FAHP)model and the Technique for Order of Preference by Similarity to Ideal Solution(TOPSIS)to assist the supplier selection process in the garment industry in a fuzzy decision-making environment.In this study,the FAHP method is used to evaluate the performance and the weight of each criterion.TOPSIS is then used to rank all potential suppliers.The proposed model is then applied to a real-world case study to demonstrate both the process of calculation as well as its real-world applicability.The results from the case study provide empirical evidence that the model is feasible.The proposed approach can also be used in combination with other MCDM models to better support decision makers and can be modified to be applied in similar supplier selection processes for different industries
