Heatwave exposure has increased dramatically because of climate warming and population growth,along with their interactive ***,effective adaptation measures can reduce these ***,the dynamic changes,regional inequality in adaptive capacity and their potential contributions to reducing exposure in the future remain *** study quantifies the impact of adaptive capacity and underscores regional variations in heatwave magnitudes,population exposure and adaptation levels in *** projected the future adaptive capacity using air-conditioner penetration,factoring in climate cooling requirements and individuals'purchasing *** population and gross domestic product(GDP)data from four Shared Socioeconomic Pathways(SSP1,SSP2,SSP3 and SSP5)and daily temperature data from four SSP-based emission scenarios(SSP1-2.6,SSP2-4.5,SSP3-7.0 and SSP5-8.5),we estimated heatwave duration,population exposure and avoided impacts through adaptation across China and its *** show a substantial increase in heatwave duration in Southwest and Southern China,especially under the SSP5-8.5 scenario,with a projection of 163.2±36.7 d during *** the SSP3|SSP3-7.0 scenario,total exposure reaches 156.4±76.8 billion person d per year,which is the highest among all scenarios and 23 times greater than that in 1986-2005 without *** considering adaptation measures,a noteworthy reduction in population exposure is observed,especially in the SSP3|SSP3-7.0 and SSP5JSSP5-8.5 scenarios,with reductions of(62.6±3.9)%and(65.8±5.1)%,respectively,compared with the scenario without adaptation during *** regional disparities in avoided impacts are also evident,with variations of up to 50%across different *** implementation of effective and environmentally friendly adaptation measures can notably address climate change,thereby alleviating the profound threats posed to human well-being.

In aero-engines, abrasive coatings are typically utilized to protect the blade tip from excessive wear caused by the harder abradable sealing coating and thereby improve the sealing performance of engines. Therefore, a Ni/cBN abrasive coating was prepared on titanium alloy using electrodeposition. The high-speed rubbing tests with a linear velocity of 350 m/s and different incursion rates were performed to investigate the effect of the Ni/cBN abrasive coating on the wear behavior against NiCrAl/diatomite seal coating. Results showed that melting wear and adhesive transfer occurred on the bare blades, causing the bare blade to suffer excessive wear. While the Ni/cBN abrasive coating exhibited superior wear resistance and cutting performance. The cBN grits pullout, the abrasion of Ni matrix and transfer of seal coating to the cBN grits were the main wear mechanism of the Ni/cBN abrasive coating. Additionally, it was found that the relationship between the incursion rate and high-speed rubbing behavior is quite different for the bare blade and Ni/cBN coating. The reason for the difference in wear behavior of bare blade and Ni/cBN coating at different incursion rates was discussed in detail.

The infinite-layer cuprate ACu O_(2)(A=Ca,Sr,Ba)possesses the simplest crystal structure among numerous cuprate superconductors and can serve as a prototypical system to explore the unconventional *** on the first-principles electronic structure calculations,we have studied the electronic and magnetic properties of the infinite-layer cuprate SrCuO_(2)from a phonon *** find that interesting fluctuations of charges,electrical dipoles,and local magnetic moments can be induced by the atomic displacements of phonon modes in SrCuO_(2)upon the hole *** all optical phonon modes of SrCuO_(2)in the antiferromagnetic Néel state,only the A_(1g)mode that involves the full-breathing O vibrations along the Cu-O bonds can cause significant fluctuations of local magnetic moments on O atoms and dramatic charge redistributions between Cu and O ***,due to the atomic displacements of the A_(1g)mode,both the charge fluctuations on Cu and the electrical dipoles on O show a dome-like evolution with increasing hole doping,quite similar to the experimentally observed behavior of the superconducting T_(c);in comparison,the fluctuations of local magnetic moments on O display a monotonic enhancement along with the hole *** analyses indicate that around the optimal doping,there exists a large softening in the frequency of the A_(1g)phonon mode and a van Hove singularity in the electronic structure close to the Fermi level,suggesting potential electron-phonon *** work reveals the important role of the full-breathing O phonon mode playing in the infinite-layer SrCuO_(2),which may provide new insights in understanding the cuprate superconductivity.

Analysis of sensitivity to hydrate blockage risk in natural gas gathering pipeline

During the operational process of natural gas gathering and transmission pipelines, the formation of hydrates is highly probable, leading to uncontrolled movement and aggregation of hydrates. The continuous migration and accumulation of hydrates further contribute to the obstruction of natural gas pipelines, resulting in production reduction, shutdowns, and pressure build-ups. Consequently, a cascade of risks is prone to occur. To address this issue, this study focuses on the operational process of natural gas gathering and transmission pipelines, where a comprehensive framework is established. This framework includes theoretical models for pipeline temperature distribution, pipeline pressure distribution, multiphase flow within the pipeline, hydrate blockage, and numerical solution methods. By analyzing the influence of inlet temperature, inlet pressure, and terminal pressure on hydrate formation within the pipeline, the sensitivity patterns of hydrate blockage risks are derived. The research indicates that reducing inlet pressure and terminal pressure could lead to a decreased maximum hydrate formation rate, potentially mitigating pipeline blockage during natural gas transportation. Furthermore, an increase in inlet temperature and terminal pressure, and a decrease in inlet pressure, results in a displacement of the most probable location for hydrate blockage towards the terminal station. However,it is crucial to note that operating under low-pressure conditions significantly elevates energy consumption within the gathering system, contradicting the operational goal of energy efficiency and reduction of energy consumption. Consequently, for high-pressure gathering pipelines, measures such as raising the inlet temperature or employing inhibitors, electrical heat tracing, and thermal insulation should be adopted to prevent hydrate formation during natural gas transportation. A novel integrated film of sulfonated polysulfone/graphene/potassium copper ferricyanide(KCuFC/SPSG)was used for selectively extracting rubidium ion(Rb^(+))from *** form KCuFC/SPSG,the precursor film of sulfonated polysulfone/graphene(SPSG)was synthesized by phase conversion process,which was alternately immersed in 0.1 mol·L^(-1)CuSO_(4)/K_(4)[Fe(CN)_(6)]by in-situ adsorption coupled co-precipitation *** data such as nuclear magnetic resonance spectrometer,Fourier transform infrared spectroscope,X-ray photoelectron spectroscope,X-ray diffraction,scanning electron microscope,and energy dispersive spectroscopy all verified that abundant KCuFC were uniformly located on the *** resulting KCuFC/SPSG was used in film separation *** the solution was fed into the system,the Rb^(+)could be selectively adsorption by KCuFC/*** the saturation adsorption,0.5 mol·L^(-1)NH_(4)Cl/HCl was fed into the film cell,Rb^(+)could be quickly desorbed by ion-exchange between Rb^(+)and NH_(4)^(+)in the lattice of *** purpose of separating and recovering Rb^(+)from the brine can be achieved after the repeated *** effects of pH,adsorption time,and interferential ions on the adsorption capacity of Rb^(+)were investigated by batch *** adsorption behavior fits the pseudo-second order kinetic process,while KCuFC has a higher adsorption capacity(Langmuir maximum sorption 165.4 mg·g^(-1)).In addition,KCuFC/SPSG shows excellent selectivity for Rb^(+)even in complex brine ***/SPSG could maintain 93.5%extraction efficiency after five adsorption/desorption cycles.
