Giant cerebriform nevus cell nevus of the scalp is an extremely rare form of congenital melanocytic nevus. Giant cerebriform nevus of the scalp has a major psychosocial impact because of its unsightly appearance with fetid maceration. We report the case of a 35-year-old woman who had a painless, malodorous swelling of the cerebriform scalp measuring 20 × 17 cm in diameter with a wide base of insertion at the occipital level adhering to the deep planes. The excision associated with a skin plasty was carried out. Histology concluded that there was a giant cerebriform naevo-cellular nevus of the scalp.

With increasing demands of virtual reality(VR) applications, efficient VR rendering techniques are becoming essential. Because VR stereo rendering has increased computational costs to separately render views for the left and right eyes, to reduce the rendering cost in VR applications, we present a novel traversal order for tile-based mobile GPU architectures: Z^2 traversal order. In tile-based mobile GPU architectures,a tile traversal order that maximizes spatial locality can increase GPU cache efficiency. For VR applications, our approach improves upon the traditional Z order *** render corresponding screen tiles in left and right views in turn, or simultaneously, and as a result, we can exploit spatial adjacency of the two tiles. To evaluate our approach, we conducted a trace-driven hardware simulation using Mesa and a hardware simulator. Our experimental results show that Z^2 traversal order can reduce external memory bandwidth requirements and increase rendering performance.

The conversion efficiency of energy-harvesting devices can be increased by utilizing hot-carriers(HCs).However,due to ultrafast carrier-carrier scattering and the lack of carrier injection dynamics,HC-based devices have low *** the present work,we report the effective utilization of HCs at the nanoscale and their transfer dynamics from a non-noble metal to a metal oxide interface by means of real-space photocurrent mapping by using local probe techniques and conducting femtosecond transient absorption(TA)*** photocurrent maps obtained under white light unambiguously show that the HCs are injected into the metal oxide layer from the TiN layer,as also confirmed by conductive atomic force *** addition,the increased photocurrent in the bilayer structure indicates the injection of HCs from both layers due to the broadband absorption efficiency of TiN layer,passivation of the surface states by the top TiN layer,and smaller barrier height of the ***,electrostatic force microscopy and Kelvin probe force microscopy provide direct evidence of charge injection from TiN to the MoO_(x)film at the *** TA absorption spectra show a strong photo-bleaching signal over wide spectral range and ultrafast decaying behavior at the picosecond time scale,which indicate efficient electron transfer from TiN to MoO_(x).Thus,our simple and effective approach can facilitate HC collection under white light,thereby achieving high conversion efficiency for optoelectronic devices.

This study aimed to investigate the link between the exposure to intimate partner violence(IPV),core self-evaluations(CSE),and psychological adaptation of Chinese adolescents,through analysis of the results from the Survey of Children’s Exposure to Domestic Violence Scale,Core Self-Evaluations Scale,and Strengths and Difficulties Questionnaire,involving a total of 597 Chinese middle school *** is indicated that the exposure to IPV is positively correlated with lower levels of psychological adaptation and CSE,and CSE is positively correlated with higher levels of psychological *** analysis revealed that CSE partially mediated the association between the exposure to IPV and psychological *** results suggest that educators and parents should help adolescents tackle their emotional and behavioral problems by reducing the risk of IPV exposure and increasing their CSE.

BACKGROUND Perivascular epithelioid cell tumor(PEComa)is a rare mesenchymal tumor that exhibits an epithelioid and spindle cell *** tumor is characterized by immunoreactivity for melanocytic and myogenic markers but can be misdiagnosed as more common tumors with similar characteristics,including gastrointestinal stroma tumors or ***,a subset of PEComas has been reported to harbor a transcription factor binding to TFE3 ***,we report a rare case of TFE3-expressing malignant PEComa arising from the *** SUMMARY A 50-year-old woman presented with abdominal discomfort for 3 *** of laboratory tests were all within the normal ranges,and the patient had no notable medical *** resonance imaging revealed a large tumor on the right side of the pelvic floor,which was originally suspected to be a primary ovarian ***,during surgery,the tumor was revealed to have originated from the ***,the tumor was composed of bundles of spindle cells and sheets of epithelioid *** coagulative necrosis and numerous mitotic figures were *** revealed that the tumor cells were positive for smooth muscle actin,HMB-45,and TFE3 *** involvement of the rectal serosa was identified,leading to a final diagnosis of malignant PEComa of the *** resection was followed by adjuvant *** recurrence or metastasis was observed over a 6-month follow-up *** Malignant PEComa of the mesentery is extremely rare and should be distinguished from morphological mimics through differential diagnosis and immunohistochemistry.

Interspecific hybrids often increase the levels of heterozygosity and hybrid vigor, but some interspecific hybrid seeds are aborted shortly after fertilization. The mechanism behind this postzygotic seed abortion is poorly understood. Here, we report genome-wide analysis of allelic expression changes in developing siliques and seeds in three F1 interspecific crosses between Arabidopsis thaliana （Col, Ler, or C24） and Arabidopsis arenosa. The majority of maternally expressed genes （MEGs） were shared among all three F1 interspecific crosses, whereas ~90% of 272 paternally expressed genes （PEGs） were found only in one or two F1 crosses, suggesting a role for disrupted paternal gene expression in seed abortion that varies in different crosses. Consistent with this notion, 12 PEGs in the infertile interspecific hybrids matched MEGs in fertile intraspecific hybrids. This disruption of PEGs in the interspecific hybrids was consistent with the upregulation of the genes in the paternal-excess interploidy cross （2X6） between a diploid mother and a hexaploid father, leading to the seed abortion. Moreover, a subset of PEGs in the interspecific crosses were also upregulated in the intraspecific hybrid metlXWT or meaXWT, in which the mutant of MET1 （DNA METHYL TRANSFERASE1） or MEDEA, a Polycomb Repressive Complex2 gene, was used as the maternal parent. These data suggest that maternal epigenetic factors and paternal gene expression play important roles in the postzygotic seed abortion in interspecific hybrids or neo-allopolyploids.

Nanoporous silicon is a promising anode material for high energy density batteries due to its high cycling stability and high tap density compared to other nanostructured anode ***,the high cost of synthesis and low yield of nanoporous silicon limit its practical ***,we develop a scalable,low-cost top-down process of controlled oxidation of Mg2Si in the air,followed by HCl removal of MgO to generate nanoporous silicon without the use of *** controlling the synthesis conditions,the oxygen content,grain size and yield of the porous silicon are simultaneously optimized from commercial *** situ environmental transmission electron microscopy reveals the reaction mechanism;the Mg2Si microparticle reacts with O2 to form MgO and Si,while preventing SiO2 *** to the low oxygen content and microscale secondary structure,the nanoporous silicon delivers a higher initial reversible capacity and initial Coulombic efficiency compared to commercial Si nanoparticles(3,033 mAh/g vs.2,418 mAh/g,84.3%vs.73.1%).Synthesis is highly scalable,and a yield of 90.4%is achieved for the porous Si nanostructure with the capability to make an excess of 10 g per *** synthetic nanoporous silicon is promising for practical applications in next generation lithium-ion batteries.
