Silicon photonics has provided a platform for the convergency of photonic devices and electronic circuits, facilitating the development of optical telecommunications and optical interconnects on chip [1]. As the basic building block of optical communication systems, electro-optic tuning is expected to be more compact, high bandwidth, energy efficient, and allow for CMOS-compatible fabrication in the future [2]. Resonator-based electro-optic tuning has attracted more and more interest due to the small footprint, enhanced light-matter interactions and high energy efficiency. Compared with microring and microdisk resonators, photonic crystal nanobeam cavities(PCNBCs) realize higher quality factors, stronger light-matter interactions, ultrasmall mode volume and a much larger free spectral range(FSR) [3].

Metabolic adaptation of cancer cells is a key tactic for maintaining their tumorigenicity and viability in the tumor immune microenvironment（TIME）.Concurrent modulation on the metabolic pathway and immune system could change the living condition of cancer cells and potentiate the efficacy of anticancer drugs.A copper complex（DDCu） was designed to influence the energy metabolism of cancer cells and reshape the *** restrained the production and transportation of lactate by inhibiting the expression of lactate dehydrogenase and monocarboxylate transporter 4,thereby altering the metabolic pathway of cancer cells and improving the acidic tumor ***,DDCu was reduced to Cu+by cellular glutathione to react with lipoylated proteins of the tricarboxylic acid cycle and destabilize the Fe–S cluster proteins,leading to the aggregation of dihydrolipoamide S-acetyltransferase and cuproptosis in cancer ***,DDCu promoted the polarization of macrophages from the M2 to M1 phenotype,activated CD4+and CD8+T cells,and reversed the *** a result,DDCu inhibited the tumor growth through a synergy between metabolic regulation and immunomodulation.

To the Editor:We read with great interest the recent article by Balci et al.[1].In the study,the authors mentioned that their mixed reality(MR)technology has already successfully been applied in open and laparoscopic living donor hepatectomy and in complex laparoscopic liver *** such operations,the MR models of the liver are pulled out and superimposed onto the actual *** can verify the relationship between tumors and crucial areas in order to enhance margin clearance and R0 resection and reduce the risk of injuring major blood *** applying MR(including augmented reality)technology,blood vessels and tumor structures in the liver can be displayed during surgery,which permits precise navigation during complex surgical *** MR was used in surgical education,and most learners believed that 3D models were useful in planning safer surgical paths,reducing intraoperative complications and training of young surgeons[2].

For cluster catalysts,reducing their size to single atoms gives rise to precise and high-selective catalytic performance,at the cost of losing some ***,the entirety with atom-like electronic shells and fine-tunable properties as clusters,are promising candidates for cluster ***,we predicted a superatom-assembled two-dimension Al8O3superatom-oxide framework （SOF） using first principles calculation,where the Al8core comprises two 8-electron Al4superatoms and further linked by oxygen atoms in a graphene-like lattice,resulting in porous and stable *** Al8O3-SOF serves as an efficient superatomic catalyst for nitric oxide （NO） reduction reaction,where the Al4superatomic unit acts cohesively as the active site throughout the catalytic process and its superatomic P orbital plays an important role in activating NO ***,the catalytic activity of Al8O3-SOF increases when the two central Al atoms of the Al8core are replaced by Ga atoms,reducing the limiting potential to-0.48 V comparable to that of the reported Pt（100）.Our work proposes a novel series of superatomic catalysts and reveals the superatomic behavior in the catalytic process,providing references for the development of efficient heterogeneous catalysts.

The blood-brain barrier(BBB) keeps poisons and infections out of the brain. Some viruses can pass through this barrier and replicate in the central nervous system(CNS). Velogenic Newcastle disease virus(VNDV) is a neurotropic virus that causes avian nonsuppurative encephalitis. VNDV often develops into a chronic infection that seriously affects poultry health in partially immune birds. The routes by which the virus enters the chicken brain are poorly understood. In this study, we discovered that VNDV increased BBB permeability in vivo and in vitro by breaking the tight junction protein zona occludens-1(ZO-1) continuity of chicken brain microvascular endothelial cells(chBMECs). By investigating the susceptibility of chBMECs to NDV infection, we found that VNDV but not lentogenic NDV was detected in the basolateral compartment in transwell assays after apical infection, suggesting that efficient replication and transcellular transport of the virus across the BBB in vitro. Furthermore, viral replication and BBB permeability were reduced during the early stage of infection by using the dynamin inhibitor dynasore. Our data demonstrate that VNDV invades the chicken brain by infecting and damaging the tight junction of chBMECs directly to increase BBB permeability. VNDV could infect chBMECs via endocytosis. As a result, our findings provide compelling evidence for VNDV entrance into the brain via the BBB, paving the way for the development of medications for NDV prevention and therapy.

目的:构建靶向1型1-磷酸鞘氨醇受体(sphingosine 1-phosphate receptor-1,S1P1)基因的小干扰RNA(small interfering RNA,siRNA)慢病毒表达载体,感染干燥综合征细胞模型——人涎腺导管上皮细胞(human salivary gland cells,HSG),探讨S1P1的siRNA治疗干燥综合征的可能性,为临床靶标治疗提供广阔的思路。方法:实验分空白组、空载体组、scramble-siRNA组及S1P1-siRNA组,分别将p LL3.7空载体、构建成功的scramble-siRNA及S1P1-siRNA慢病毒表达载体与p MD2.G、p MDL g/p RRE、pRSV-REV共转染293T细胞制备病毒,感染HSG细胞株48 h,流式细胞术检测其感染效率,实时荧光定量RT-PCR法检测HSG细胞中S1P1 mRNA的表达水平,细胞免疫组织化学法检测细胞中S1P1蛋白的表达水平,ELISA法检测细胞上清中γ-干扰素(interferon-γ,IFN-γ)和白细胞介素(interleukin,IL)-17的表达水平。结果:(1)成功构建scramble-siRNA、S1P1-siRNA慢病毒表达载体,慢病毒的滴度约为3.5×108TU/m L。(2)感染48 h后S1P1-siRNA组HSG细胞中S1P1 mRNA的表达水平明显低于空白组、空载体组和scramble-siRNA组,差异有统计学意义(P<0.05)。(3)S1P1-siRNA组HSG细胞中S1P1蛋白的表达水平低于空白组、空载体组和scramble-siRNA组,差异有统计学意义(P<0.05)。(4)S1P1-siRNA组HSG细胞分泌的IL-17的浓度明显降低,与空白组、空载体组和scramble-siRNA组比较差异有统计学意义(P<0.05)。(5)S1P1-siRNA组细胞上清液中IFN-γ的浓度降低,与空白组、空载体组和scramble-siRNA组比较差异有统计学意义(P<0.05)。结论:成功构建了靶向S1P1基因的慢病毒载体,S1P1 siRNA可以使S1P1 mRNA和蛋白表达水平下降,细胞上清液中IL-17和IFN-γ的浓度下降,证明S1P1 siRNA可转染HSG细胞且特异、高效地抑制S1P1基因的表达,抑制细胞上清液中细胞因子的表达,为治疗干燥综合征奠定了实验基础。

On December 18, 2023, an Ms6.2 earthquake jolted Jishishan County in the Linxia Hui Autonomous Prefecture in Northwest China's Gansu Province, causing substantial casualties and building collapses. The earthquake occurred in the Qilian Block on the northeastern border of the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau, where faults are highly active and the geological structure is complex. In this study, we utilized methods such as relocation, focal mechanism solutions, and earthquake rupture processes to describe seismogenic faults. The results indicated that the majority of aftershocks occurred at a depth of 12 km. The centroid depth of the main shock and the depth of the maximum rupture point during the rupture process were also 12 km. Various geophysical methods exhibited a high degree of consistency in depth exploration. Aftershocks were distributed mainly to the west and north of the main shock and extended in the NNW direction, primarily through unilateral rupture. The main shock was a reverse thrust event with a small dextral strike-slip component. In this study, more regional data, such as previous GPS observations, field geological observations, and the distributions of the primary stress states in the region, were also incorporated. We inferred that the main shock was triggered by the main fault at the northern margin of the Lajishan Fault and that the movement of the main fault also activated some secondary faults. The compressive forces on both sides of the Lajishan Fault Zone led to the uplift of mountain areas, accompanied by some landslides, leading to this catastrophic earthquake event. In this article, the activity relationships among the 2022 Ms6.9 Menyuan earthquake, the 2019 Ms5.7 Xiahe earthquake,and the Jishishan earthquake under the action of regional stress are also discussed. This study provides additional evidence and new ideas for exploring the seismogenic process of the Lajishan Fault Zone and has implications for future in-depth research on underground activ

Exploring the spatio-temporal interactions between "spatial-economic-demographic" carbon strength and ecosystem services can effectively reveal the correlation and evolutionary differences between human social development and natural ecology under land-use change and provide a reference for comprehensive and high-quality development in the region under the goal of"double carbon."Taking the Shandong Section of the Yellow River Basin as an example，ecosystem services and carbon strengths of spatial，economic，and demographic dimensions were measured at the county scale from 2000 to 2020，the interaction elasticity index（IEI）was built to quantify the spatio-temporal interactions between each dimension's carbon strengths and ecosystem services，and the pattern of multi-dimensional interaction zoning and countermeasure suggestions were explored. The results showed that：① The spatial and demographic carbon strengths were mainly changed positively，whereas the economic carbon strength was more negatively changed;the high values of the composite index of ecosystem services were concentrated in the east，and the index showed an overall increasing trend. ② The interaction between spatial and demographic carbon strength and ecosystem services was an ecological absolute decline relationship from 2005 to 2010，the ecological absolute increase relationship increased from 2010 to 2020，and the interaction between economic carbon strength and ecosystem services was dominated by an ecological invisible increase relationship. ③ The pattern of multi-dimensional interaction zoning was characterized by significant spatial and temporal variations，with the number of three-dimensional ideal interaction zones being the highest from 2010 to 2015，and two-dimensional undesirable interaction zones being the most widespread type of zoning.
