The relationship between the tensile properties and S(delta) phase precipitation in cast alloy IN625 was investigated in this paper. Although the influences of δ phase on the mechanical properties have been pointed out in our previous work, the relationship is still not directly determined due to the coexistence of γ"(gamma double prime) and δ precipitates. In order to exclude the effect from γ" phase, various fractions of δ precipitates with few γ" precipitates were obtained by a set of experimental alloys aging at 750 ℃, and tensile tests were conducted in parallel. The results showed that both yield strength and ultimate tensile strength increased nearly in linear with increasing δ phase fraction, while the elongation was relatively and limitedly affected by δ precipitation when the area fraction of δ phase was above 10%.

Spinal muscular atrophy(SMA)is a genetic condition that results in selective lower motor neuron loss with concomitant muscle weakness and *** genetic cause of SMA was understood in 1995 when loss or impairment of the survival motor neuron 1(SMN1)gene was identified as the main contributing factor(Lefebvre et al.,1995).This,in combination with the discovery that humans have a“back-up”gene,SMN2,which can produce low levels(approximately 10%)of the full-length functional SMN protein,has led to the generation of SMA-specific gene *** was traditionally classified according to age of symptom onset and developmental milestones achieved,with life expectancy and severity varying between ***,SMN2 copy number is used as a proxy for the prediction of disease severity,with higher SMN2 copy number typically being associated with reduced severity of SMA,although this relationship is not absolute:some individuals with low SMN2 copy number have less severe SMA phenotypes and vice ***,the etiology of SMA is further complicated by other factors,such as non-typical nucleotide variants and SMN2-independent modifiers of disease severity.

In recent years,power saving problem has become more and more important in many fields and attracted a lot of research *** this paper,the authors consider the power saving problem in the virtualized computing *** there are multiple objectives in the system as well as many factors influencing the objectives,the problem is complex and *** authors will formulate the problem as an optimization problem of power consumption with a prior requirement on performance,which is taken as the response time in the *** solve the problem,the authors design the adaptive controller based on least-square self-tuning regulator to dynamically regulate the computing resource so as to track a given reasonable reference performance and then minimize the power consumption using the tracking result supplied by the controller at each *** is implemented based on the data collected from real machines and the time delay of turning on/off the machine is included in the *** results show that this method based on adaptive control theory can save power consumption greatly with satisfying the performance requirement at the same time,thus it is suitable and effective to solve the problem.

Diamond crystals, with dimensions of about 0.5-0.6 mm, were synthesized in the presence of Fe-Ni and Fe-Ni-Si catalyst solvents under high-pressure-high-temperature (HPHT) conditions. The as-known dendritic pattern was clearly seen on the (111) or (100) planes of diamond single crystals grown using Fe-Ni as a catalyst solvent. However, the conventional dendritic pattern was not observed in diamonds grown in the presence of Fe-Ni-Si alloy catalyst. Trigonal-type, pyramid-type, polygonal-type and rectangular-type growth hillocks were clearly observed on the (111) and (100) surfaces of diamonds grown from the Fe-Ni-Si-C system, and the density of the hillocks is very high at some positions. Clear successive growth layers can also be found on the (111) planes of the high-pressure diamond single crystals grown in the presence of Fe-Ni-Si alloy catalyst. The growth hillocks distributed on the (111) and (100) planes of the diamonds generally occur on or near growth steps, and some of the hillocks terminate at certain solid inclusions and voids. Growth hillocks on the (111) and (100) surfaces directly indicate the spiral growth mechanism under HPHT. A possible formation process for growth hillocks is proposed.

Diamond growth instability at high temperature and high pressure (HPHT) has been elucidated by observing the cellular interface in diamond crystals. The HPHT diamond crystals grow layer by layer from solution of carbon in the molten catalyst. In the growth of any other crystals from solution, the growth interface is not stable and should be of the greatest significance to understand further the diamond growth mechanism. During the diamond growth, the carbon atoms are delivered to the growing diamond crystal by diffusion through a diamond crystal-solution boundary layer. In front of the boundary layer, there is a narrow constitutional supercooling zone related to the solubility difference between diamond and graphite in the molten catalyst. The diamond growth stability is broken, and the flat or planar growth interface transforms into a cellular interface due to the light supercooling. The phenomenon of solute trails in the diamonds was observed, the formation of solute trails was closely associated with the cellular interface

The Beaufort Gyre reserves most of the freshwater in the Arctic *** shows that the freshwater content over 2016-2018 far exceeds the level over the plateau period *** the vertical temperature and salinity structure and their changes in the Beaufort Gyre is a way to understand the process related to such step *** configured a pan-Arctic sea ice-ocean model with a southern boundary at∼7°N in the Atlantic *** numerical simulation with sea surface salinity restoring,a latitude dependent horizontal diffusivity scaled by the squared buoyancy frequency,and a weak vertical diffusivity of 5×10^(−7) m^(2)s^(−1) in the Arctic Ocean better reproduces the sea ice extent,the Pacific summer halocline water,and the freshwater variations as *** sea surface salinity restoring mitigates the surface desalination in the North Atlantic Ocean,therefore a weaker ocean stratification prevents the excessive warming in the intermediate Arctic *** is also found that the weak vertical background diffusivity is the major factor in our model to preserve the vertical ocean structure in the Canada Basin and also the step change of freshwater *** addition to resolving eddy activities in high resolution models,the success in our low resolution model suggests that tuning the vertical diffusivity serves as another approach to simulate the increasing freshwater content in the recent decade.

Lightweight high-entropy alloys or complex-concentrated alloys have demonstrated great potential for engineering applications due to their high strength and ***,a weak strain-hardening ability and a limited tensile ductility remain their major ***,a multistage strain-hardening effect is developed to ensure a high strength and still a sufficient ductility in a rolled and annealed(Ti_(44)V_(28)Zr_(14)Nb_(14))_(98.5)Mo_(1.5)(at.%)lightweight refractory complex-concentrated alloy(M1.5A-LRCCA).This multistage strain-hardening behavior is related to the microstructure and the corresponding initial aver-age dislocation density and distribution by comparison with rolled and annealed Ti_(44)V_(28)Zr_(14)Nb_(14)(M0-LRCCA)and as-cast(Ti_(44)V_(28)Zr_(14)Nb_(14))_(98.5)Mo_(1.5)(M1.5C-LRCCA).The microstructure,with homogeneously distributed submicron precipitations,a moderate initial average dislocation density,and uniform disloca-tion distribution(e.g.,M1.5A-LRCCA),is susceptible to producing various deformation substructures,such as dislocation substructures(slip bands,Taylor lattices,microbands,DDWs),shear bands,and deformation twins,which results in the multistage strain-hardening *** method of achieving multistage strain hardening behavior through a microstructure modulation is significant for engineering applications of lightweight high-entropy alloys or complex-concentrated alloys,and it might be extended to other lightweight and high-strength alloys.

A microgravity environment has been shown to cause ocular damage and affect visual acuity,but the underlying mechanisms remain ***,we established an animal model of weightlessness via tail suspension to examine the pathological changes and molecular mechanisms of retinal damage under *** 4 weeks of tail suspension,there were no notable alterations in retinal function and morphology,while after 8 weeks of tail suspension,significant reductions in retinal function were observed,and the outer nuclear layer was thinner,with abundant apoptotic *** investigate the mechanism underlying the degenerative changes that occurred in the outer nuclear layer of the retina,proteomics was used to analyze differentially expressed proteins in rat retinas after 8 weeks of tail *** results showed that the expression levels of fibroblast growth factor 2(also known as basic fibroblast growth factor)and glial fibrillary acidic protein,which are closely related to Müller cell activation,were significantly *** addition,Müller cell regeneration and Müller cell gliosis were observed after 4 and 8 weeks,respectively,of simulated *** findings indicate that Müller cells play an important regulatory role in retinal outer nuclear layer degeneration during weightlessness.

Demyelination and remyelination have been major focal points in the study of peripheral nerve regeneration following peripheral nerve ***,the gene regulatory network of regenerated myelin differs from that of native *** of enhancer of zeste homolog 2(EZH2)hinders the differentiation,maturation,and myelination of Schwann cells in *** further determine the role of EZH2 in myelination and recovery post-peripheral nerve injury,conditional knockout mice lacking Ezh2 in Schwann cells(Ezh2^(fl/fl);Dhh-Cre and Ezh2^(fl/fl);Mpz-Cre)were *** results show that a significant proportion of axons in the sciatic nerve of Ezh2-depleted mice remain *** highlights the crucial role of Ezh2 in initiating Schwann cell ***,we observed that 21 days after inducing a sciatic nerve crush injury in these mice,most axons had remyelinated at the injury site in the control nerve,while Ezh2^(fl/fl);Mpz-Cre mice had significantly fewer remyelinated axons compared with their wild-type *** suggests that the absence of Ezh2 in Schwann cells impairs myelin formation and *** conclusion,EZH2 has emerged as a pivotal regulatory factor in the process of demyelination and myelin regeneration following peripheral nerve *** EZH2 activity during these processes may offer a promising therapeutic target for the treatment of peripheral nerve injuries.
