Aqueous zinc-ion batteries are promising due to inherent safety,low cost,low toxicity,and high volumetric ***,issues of dendrites and side reactions between zinc metal anode and the electrolyte need to be solved for extended storage and cycle ***,we proposed that an electrolyte additive with an intermediate chelation strength of zinc ion—strong enough to exclude water molecules from the zinc metal-electrolyte interface and not too strong to cause a significant energy barrier for zinc ion dissociation—can benefit the electrochemical stability by suppressing hydrogen evolution reaction,overpotential growth,and den-drite ***-sodium diethyl.ne-triaminepentaacetic acid salt was selected for such a *** has a suitable chelating ability in aqueous solutions to adjust solvation sheath and can be readily polarized under electrical loading conditions to further improve the ***||Zn symmetric cells can be stably operated over 3500 h at 1 mA cm^(-2).Zn||nH4V4O10 full cells with the additive show great cycl.ng stability with 84.6%capacity retention after 500 cycles at 1 A g^(-1).Since the additive not only reduces H2 evolution and corrosion but also modifies Zn2+diffusion and deposition,highlyreversible Zn electrodes can be achieved as verified by the experimental *** work offers a practical approach to the logical design of reliable electrolytes for high-performance aqueous batteries.

X-ray fluorescence(XRF)sensor-based ore sorting enables efficient beneficiation of heterogeneous ores,while intraparticle heterogeneity can cause significant grade detection errors,leading to misclassifications and hindering widespread technology *** classification models are crucial to determine if actual grade exceeds the sorting threshold using localized XRF *** studies mainly used l.near regression(lR)algorithms including simple l.near regression(SlR),multivariable l.near regression(MlR),and multivariable l.near regression with interaction(MlRI)but often fell short attaining satisfactory *** study employed the particle swarm optimization support vector machine(PSO-SVM)algorithm for sorting porphyritic copper ore ***-scale results showed PSO-SVM out-performed lR and raw data(RD)models and the significant interaction effects among input features was *** poor input data quality,PSO-SVM demonstrated exceptional ***-scale sorting achieved 93.0%accuracy,0.24%grade increase,84.94%recovery rate,57.02%discard rate,and a remarkable 39.62 yuan/t net smelter return(nSR)increase compared to no *** improvements were achieved by the PSO-SVM model with optimized input combinations and highest data quality(T=10,T is XRF testing times).The unsuitability of lR methods for XRF sensor-based sorting of investigated sample is *** element selection and mineral association analysis elucidate element importance and influence mechanisms.

It is widely recognized that the development of ZABs is impeded by the kinetic bottl.neck of oxygen evolution reaction(OER)and oxygen reduction reaction(ORR).The application of conformational entropy strategy to oxides often involves introducing multiple elements with different properties,thereby providing outstanding bifunctional catalytic activity for OER/***,the possible underlying catalytic pathways and potential interactions between various components are still poorly *** paper presents an excell.nt medium-entropy perovskite oxide,Sr(FeConiMo)_(1/4)O_(3−δ)(lower overpotential of 301 mV at 10 mA cm^(−2)).Zinc-air batteries employing it as a cathode catalyst demonstrate excell.nt round-trip efficiency(62%).By combining theoretical calculation with experiments,we aim to establish the l.nk between the electronic structure of perovskite oxides with different elemental compositions and their OER *** reveals that the conformational entropy strategy can simultaneously shift the O 2p-band center and metal d-band center of perovskite oxide towards the vicinity of the Fermi energy level,thereby triggering a more favorable lattice oxygen-participated mechanism(lOM)during the OER *** outcomes of this work provide crucial insights into the role of conformational entropy strategies in oxygen catalysis and offer potential avenues for constructing efficient and stable electrocatalysts.

BACKGROUnD Extensive research revealed the absence of reports documenting hypertensive emergencies precipitated by changes in the cervical spine *** SUMMARY We here present a 57-year-old woman diagnosed as having cervical spondylotic radiculopathy(CSR)who was scheduled for anterior cervical decompression and *** post-anesthetic positioning,a sudden hypertensive surge was observed when the patient was in a supine position with the neck being slightly *** surge was promptly reversed through cervical flexion and head *** event however required an alternate surgical approach for recovery—posterior laminoplasty and endoscopy-assisted nucleus pulposus *** the 6-month outpatient follow-up period,cervical flexion and extension activities substantially improved in the patient without any episodes of increase in acute blood *** Maintaining a safe hypotensive posture and performing rapid,thorough deco-mpression surgery may serve as effective interventions for patients presenting symptoms similar to those of CSR accompanied by hypertensive emergencies(HE).This would mitigate the underlying causes of these HEs.

Surface/surface intersection is a fundamental problem in Compute Aided Design and Geometric Model.ng since it is essential to solid model.ng, numerically controlled machining, feature recognition, computer animation, etc. In practical applications, quadric surfaces, which are the most basic type of surfaces, are typically bounded surfaces trimmed by a sequence of pl.nes. In this paper,a robust algorithm is proposed for computing the intersection curve segments of two trimmed quadrics based on the parametric representation of the intersection curves of two quadrics. The proposed algorithm guarantees correct topology and ensures that the approximation errors of the end points of the intersection curve segments are less than a given tolerance. The error control is based on an effective solution to a set of pol.nomial inequality system using the root isolation technique. Some examples are presented to validate the robustness and effectiveness of the proposed algorithm.
